Finishing the cottage: 4 budget ideas 2 times cheaper than usual

In our reality, large investments in the repair of summer cottages look quite unproductive. On the one hand, is it worth spending a lot on furnishing a home in which we spend several months at most? On the other hand, no one cancels the quite reasonable desire for a cozy place in their “country estate”.

If you are interested in simple materials and budget solutions that can ennoble and decorate your dacha, then this article is definitely for you. In it, I will analyze the main inexpensive ways of wall cladding and share several creative options for creating an original country interior.

Sheathing options

Today, the construction market offers many variations and a variety of materials that are ideal for finishing a country house. Among the rather impressive list, you can pick up something according to the preferences of the owner of the house and his financial capabilities.

clapboard

Lining is rightfully considered one of the most popular materials used for arranging summer cottages. The advantages of the panels speak for themselves. This:

  • their pleasant aesthetic appearance, allowing you to imitate a variety of textures;
  • affordable cost;
  • high thermal insulation performance;
  • ease of installation, which can be handled even without much experience in repair work;
  • environmental friendliness of the material.

The interior decoration of a country house with clapboard is a great idea for those who value comfort and coziness above all else. By experimenting with textures and shades, owners will have a chance to create an unforgettable interior without spending a fortune.

What should be considered during the installation process?

  1. A high-quality finish is possible only when using a wooden crate as a base.
  2. If you want to insulate the walls of the house, you can put mineral wool, glass wool or expanded polystyrene into the frame.
  3. Wooden slats for the base should be fixed either with nails or self-tapping screws.

I also want to note that lining can be a very inexpensive and practical answer to the question of how to decorate a change house for a country house.

Drywall

Drywall in popularity is not much inferior to lining. This is a versatile material used both for leveling walls or arranging interior spaces, and for decorating window slopes.

Drywall installation instructions are as follows:

  1. The first step is to create a frame of metal or wooden slats. They are fixed to the wall with screws or self-tapping screws at a distance of 40-50 cm from each other.

  1. After that, plasterboard plates are attached to the frame. The joints between the sheets are sealed with putty, then primed.

  1. After about 6-8 hours (that's how much it takes to dry the primer), you can proceed to pasting or painting the walls.

Plywood

That's really what is fully consistent with the well-known phrase "cheap and cheerful." If you are thinking about how to decorate the walls to make it as budget-friendly as possible, then plywood will come in handy. Such material allows the walls to “breathe”, it has good water resistance (so it can be used for lining the bathroom) and sound insulation.

In addition to such impressive advantages, I will attribute easy installation with my own hands, which can be handled by people who have never done repairs before. As a finishing touch, plywood can either be painted with bright paint or wallpapered over.

How to combine fantasy with lack of money?

Above, I examined the main finishing materials that accompany inexpensive repairs in the country. They will help to put the house in order, and they will solve the problem with light insulation. But what to do when the soul demands the continuation of the banquet and wants something beautiful in a small country house?

I will tell you how interesting it is to decorate a country house, while spending a minimum of money.

Idea 1. The whole world in colors

Considering the most popular options for decorating a room, it's hard not to mention the paint. This is one of the easiest ways to update the interior, which also allows you to experiment with colors and shades, it is in great demand all over the world. What do future painters-artists need to know?

We paint a tree or lining

  1. If you want to give a rich color to a wooden surface or lining, but leave them with an interesting texture, get a translucent paint.

  1. Exterior finishes should be decorated only with elastic paints that are not afraid of temperature changes (alkyd, oil). Inside the room can be painted with water-dispersed or water-based compositions. It makes sense to use more expensive silicate or silicone paints only in conditions of very high humidity.

In the photo - an example when the paint only emphasizes the richness of the texture

  1. Wall decoration inside before painting should be good, thanks to this, paint consumption will be significantly reduced.
  2. If after the winter there is a strong feeling of dampness in the house, do not rush to wield a brush or roller. To begin with, you should thoroughly dry the room (with a building hair dryer or a heat gun, for example).

  1. Definitely do not even try to paint over places where foci of rot and mold are firmly entrenched.. Believe me, after the repair work, the fungus will simply continue to destroy the coating. So first get rid of the mold, dry the surface, sand it with sandpaper, treat it with an antiseptic and only then paint it.

Save yourself a little time and do everything as required. Believe me, the result will be worth it.

We paint plaster or drywall

To give plastered or plasterboard walls a more sophisticated look, you can use acrylic water-based paint.

  • For better adhesion of paint to the surface, do not spare the primer. In extreme cases (but only in the most extreme), you can use a soapy solution instead, which needs to remove grease and dust from the walls. But still, try to get a primer - with it the result will be more effective and reliable.

  • If there are small cracks on the surface and there is no plaster, it is worth resorting to the help of paint with a latex filler. It can hide cracks up to 2 mm in size.
  • Do not be afraid of the most "impractical" color in the interior - white. Firstly, white paint is the cheapest, and secondly, any object will look bright and stylish on a light background. In addition, it will contribute to the visual increase in the room.

Idea 2. Wallpaper to be or not to be?

Wallpaper in the country is not only not uncommon, but the most popular type of decor. How to deal with them in the process of repair? I'll consider two possible options:

  1. When the old wallpaper began to peel off a little - do not rush to tear them off (unless you definitely decided to change the situation). If they peel off in whole canvases, then there is nothing to do, and you will have to remove everything and glue new ones. In the case when the canvas peels off only at the joints and in the corners, it is better to just carefully glue everything.

To keep the canvas stronger, add ordinary PVA glue to the wallpaper glue (in a ratio of 1 to 6).

  1. You have long decided to change the annoying pattern, only in some areas the wallpaper stuck as if tightly. Through a piece of wet fabric, run an iron over them, so the material will be easier to remove.

For those who are thinking about wallpapering in a country house, I will suggest a few tricks to save money:

  • look in the pantry for the wallpaper left over from the last repair (some trimmings will definitely remain), ask relatives and friends about the same. As a result, you will be able to collect material for the original patchwork decor. Paste the wall in the room with scraps with different patterns and enjoy the unusual result;

Thus, you can decorate only one wall, otherwise it will come out too colorful. For others, painting or wallpaper in neutral shades is fine.

  • most often in specialized stores you can find baskets with the so-called "sale" wallpaper left over from unsold collections of one or two rolls. The price of their much standard range, you just have to pick up and combine several models in color and texture;

  • interior decoration of a country house is primarily associated with the cheapest paper wallpaper. Well, for one or two seasons, they will fit the wave. After the allotted time, their appearance will be far from the original.

I would still advise you to resort to the help of two-layer paper wallpapers - the difference in price is not so noticeable, but they last longer.

To save money, do not choose wallpaper with a large pattern. Due to the fact that you have to adjust the details of the picture, there will be more waste. The ideal option is a small abstract pattern.

Idea 3. Not Italian, but still tiles

Tile is another worthy material for budget repairs. I'm not talking about Italian ceramics, there are many cheaper examples in stores. Again, you have at least 2 options:

  • buy the required number of tiles and decorate the kitchen or even the summer shower inside with it;
  • again, scrape through the barrel and decorate the selected surface in the patchwork style from the remains found.

Idea 4. Reminder from the past - wall newspaper

An even cheaper replacement for wallpaper can be (so you think) ordinary newspaper strips. Glue them like a regular paper coating, and open them with varnish on top. The main advantage of this option is that over time it will look even more interesting and atmospheric.

By the same principle, you can use old geographical maps or book pages (although I don’t approve of the second option).

Additional options

If you think that I have finished listing all sorts of inexpensive ways to design a summer residence, then you are mistaken. I have a few more interesting ideas left in my head:

  1. Perforated convenience. A couple of perforated metal sheets are a great way to conveniently store pans and knives in the country. If at the same time they also close the bumps on the wall, so much the better.

  1. We don't throw away boxes. A few old drawers attached to the wall can create a fairly roomy and comfortable shelving unit. Both practical and useful for decoration!
  2. Nowhere without textiles. Another simple way to hide flaws in wall decoration is to cover it with a large panel of beautiful fabric, felt or cork roll (depending on what you find in the pantry).

I tried to find for you the most interesting and inexpensive options for arranging a summer house, even more ideas are contained in the video in this article.

Afterword

If you have a crisis of ideas, and you don’t know how to decorate the walls in the country, then I hope my article will be useful to you. I gave an example of the main finishing materials used to equip a country house, and suggested several ways to decorate it.

If suddenly you still have some questions for me, I will be glad to answer them in the comments. In the same place, share your impressions of the above finishes and express your opinion.

Often a finished house requires finishing sheathing. Or the outdated walls of the building need to be updated, insulated and sheathed with other building material. At the same time, 90% of developers in all cases want to save the budget and choose an inexpensive facade material. That is why in the article we will analyze the cheaper it is to sheathe a house from the outside and at the same time get a beautiful decorative effect.

Important: when choosing a facade material for cladding a house, it is worth considering the difference in the linear expansion of the wall material and the material chosen for cladding. If this aspect is not taken into account, then under the influence of temperature changes, the walls of the house and the cladding will expand each in its own way. As a result, cracks may form outside or inside the cottage.

Before you inexpensively finish the walls of the cottage, you should take into account some points:

  • So, when choosing a facing material for a house, it is worth considering not only the cost of the sheathing itself, but also the price of all components for the work. In addition, if the cladding will be done by craftsmen to order, then the price for the work should be added here.
  • Sheathing the house is best done in the dry and warm season. So the material will grab as tightly as possible, and its very structure will not be disturbed by moisture.
  • It is advisable to insulate the house under the cladding in order to reduce the sound permeability of the material and enhance the energy efficiency of the finished cottage. Mineral wool, polystyrene foam or polystyrene are used as heaters.
  • It is advisable to purchase all building materials from a trusted supplier who can provide quality certificates for all purchased goods. Thus, it will be possible to avoid possible marriage and subsequent downtime in work.

Important: choosing how to sheathe a house outside cheaply and beautifully, give preference to non-combustible materials.

Facade plaster

The most budget option for making the exterior of the house attractive. In addition to the fact that facade plaster plays the role of a decorative finish, since it is most often textured, such a building mixture has a number of other advantages, such as:

  • The function of thermal insulation allows you to additionally protect the walls of the house from the effects of cold;
  • The soundproofing characteristics of facade plasters have also proven themselves on the positive side;
  • In addition, plaster mixes have a positive effect on the safety of wall material, protecting blocks or bricks from destruction, burnout, swelling, etc.

For outdoor work, the world of building materials offers the following types of plaster:

  • Silicone. The most expensive type of textured plasters. But at the same time, with minimal costs for the purchase of the mixture (in comparison with other finishing materials), it is possible to get strong walls of the house at the output. The effect is achieved due to silicone resins added to the composition of the building plaster mixture. In addition, thanks to this additive, silicone plaster does not pass or absorb water, and also does not lose its shade under the influence of ultraviolet radiation.
  • Mineral. This type of building mixture is made on the basis of cement and sand. Such a mixture is resistant to fading, the effects of temperature extremes, mechanical stress. However, more often mineral plaster is used in industrial construction.
  • Acrylic plaster. It contains acrylic, which allows you to get a protective film on the surface of the facade dried after plastering. Thus, the lined house is not afraid of dirt, moisture, dust and debris. In addition, acrylic mortar does not fade in the sun. The only disadvantage of such a cladding is its poor vapor permeability.
  • Decorative. It differs from the rest in a finished shade. That is, in the store you can choose the final shade of the mixture and plaster the house in a single tone, in accordance with the intended design.

Important: for aerated concrete walls, you should purchase plaster specially designed for such blocks. It allows you to even out visible irregularities and defects and protect the walls from moisture and temperature extremes.

facade paint

Another of the budget options, designed to decorate the walls of an old house. Let's say we have an old brick house that has lost its gloss. But at the same time, the walls are still quite strong. In this case, paint can be used as a facade "new thing". Such a material is a building mixture, which includes a structuring filler. The thickness of applying such paint is 10 mm, which allows you to form a protective and at the same time decorative barrier on the walls of the cottage.

The peculiarity of such a facade paint is that it can be applied even to an unprepared surface without first repairing cracks and chips. Due to its structure, facade paint will hide all the bumps. In addition, the coloring mixture is able to "breathe", which has a beneficial effect on both stone / block walls and wood.

Siding

Such sheathing material occupies one of the leading positions in the construction market. And competitiveness is due not only to the acceptable price of the material, but also to technical characteristics. Siding is thin long panels 150x500 mm, which have a perforated edge in their design for simplified installation of the material to the frame. The second edge of the panels has a light protrusion that allows you to cover the attachment points of the underlying elements. In this way, the skin takes on integrity and attractiveness.

Siding is also popular because it has a wide range of colors. Or rather, it is made in various designs - wood, marble, stone, brick, etc. Thus, you can give the house any look in accordance with the intended design.

There are several types of siding according to the type of material from which it is made:

  • pvc siding. These are honeycomb panels that are lightweight. Thanks to such a hollow structure, siding panels act not only as decorative sheathing, but also additionally insulate the walls of the house. Such material does not rot, is not afraid of water, is resistant to burning and decay.
  • Metal siding. Thin panels in steel, zinc or aluminium. They are 5 mm thick. Easy to install, resistant to negative effects of atmospheric precipitation and corrosion. You can sheathe such material yourself, without resorting to the help of professionals.
  • Wooden siding. Natural material, which is characterized by increased environmental friendliness, attractiveness and low thermal conductivity. However, wood panels cannot withstand moisture. And even if the panels are carefully treated with antiseptics and varnishes, wood has a shorter service life than metal or PVC.
  • Fiber cement siding. The material is made from a mixture of cement and polymer fibers. The result is a material that is strong and resistant to various negative factors.

Important: siding can be mounted on top of the ventilated facade system. The material does not interfere with air microcirculation.

Tree

For sheathing a house in a country style, you can use a cut or unedged board. The first option is lumber with perfectly even edges. The second type of board is lamellas, sawn from an unprepared and uncleaned log. As a result, bark, bast and sapwood remain on the ends of the boards. Such sheathing material is used for wall cladding with a herringbone or overlap. The panels overlap one on one in the direction from the bottom up. The upholstery with proper care will last 15-20 years. Then the boards will need to be changed. Although for a small country house, this finishing option is ideal. After all, the tree retains heat, provides the walls with breath, and it looks just beautiful.

If you want to use wood as a cladding, but in such a way that the house looks rich, then you can also use a block house. These are the same wooden panels, but with a convex side. That is, it imitates a log. Sheathing the house with a block house looks colorful and expensive at a low cost of material.

Tip: if you want to save even more, you can buy siding for a block house.

Decorative tiles

Clinker tiles are often used for facing the house. It can imitate brick, stone, etc. Such material is made from a mixture of water, clay and glaze. The result is an environmentally friendly material of low weight. Therefore, facing the house with tiles does not require strengthening the foundation. The tile perfectly interacts with the sun, water, low and high temperatures. And to fire, such material is completely inert. Laying tiles can be done independently, observing all the principles of laying. Thus, a budget option will be released.

Panels for house cladding

You can clad the house with light PVC panels. Such material is also inexpensive and attractive. Finishing can be done in the form of natural stone, marble, brick, wood, etc. The panels are lightweight, and therefore easy to install. With the help of such facing plates, you can perform a beautiful decorative finish of the entire cottage. Moreover, the panels can be combined by finishing the basement and corners of the house under a stone, and the walls can be done under a tree or simply by decorating in a uniform shade.

Remember, a house finished with the right materials not only gets a new look, but also gets a longer life.

For any building, including a country house, exterior decoration is an important stage that requires a careful approach to implementation. External cladding increases not only the decorative component of the structure, but also helps to save the walls from premature destruction and external influences.

There are many ways of exterior decoration, which depend on the material of the country house. Therefore, it is important to consider the most commonly used cladding options.

Tasks of exterior decoration

The exterior cladding of a country house performs not only the role of creating a unique appearance of the building, but also has a number of other equally significant functions. First of all, it serves as protection for load-bearing structures from the adverse effects of the environment. Such a shell will help to make the service life of bricks, aerated concrete, timber, cinder block and other materials longer.

Often, when a summer house is located on a hill or in an open area, there is a problem of wind blowing. In this case, the walls cool quickly, and if there are cracks in the house, drafts may appear. The exterior decoration of the country house will become an obstacle to the wind and protect the household from its constant influence.

The heat in the summer months and frosts in the winter are another test for cottage owners. As a rule, it is the exterior decoration of a country house that takes on the impact, and the walls of the house do not overheat in the heat and do not freeze in winter.

Last but not least is the aesthetic component. Thanks to the exterior decoration, the country house will acquire its own unique look. For those who have purchased a ready-made structure, it will not be a problem to arrange it at will. There is not even a difficulty in decorating a wooden house so that its walls imitate brick ones. At the same time, the stone structure is easy to decorate as a wooden one.

Finishing materials

The choice of a particular finish for a country house is a purely individual matter, depending on the tastes of the owner and his capabilities. Someone likes romantic wooden houses, someone gravitates towards brutal brick and stone ones. Among the huge range of finishing materials for country houses, the following stand out and are most often used:

  • decorative plasters;
  • clinker brick;
  • plastic panels;
  • facing tiles made of stone;
  • wooden panels, for example, lining or block house.

To create an original facade, materials are often combined. But not only the desire of the owner of the cottage is an indicator when choosing a material for cladding. It is worth considering the technical characteristics of the building itself. So, in any case, a wooden country house should not be overloaded with a heavy finish of clinker bricks or stone panels.

Those for whom a country house is a temporary building often choose budget plastic panels for exterior decoration. They imitate any coating and can become a full-fledged cladding. But plastic quickly loses its decorative and qualitative characteristics. It burns out in the sun, cracks from temperature changes, and one can not talk about its environmental friendliness.

More expensive finishing materials are used if the country house is operated not only in the summer months, but also in winter. If the budget is not strictly limited and it is possible to decorate the cottage with a different cladding, then it is better to do so. Exterior finishes, for example, made of stone or wood, will look attractive even after several years. But it is important to be prepared that the installation of the cladding will take a long time.

Decoration with a block house and penoplex

Many summer residents prefer to carry out the external design of a country house with a block house. But in order to get a really high-quality lining, it is necessary to carry out work in compliance with all recommendations. So, you will need:

  1. Conduct a competent calculation of the amount of material with a small margin.
  2. Leave the block house after the purchase for a while so that the material “gets used” to the new conditions.
  3. Build the crate in such a way that between its elements there is a distance of no more than 50 cm.
  4. Fix the material on the "thorn-groove" system.
  5. Cover the block house after attaching to the outer walls of the country house with drying oil or special impregnation, which will retain its quality characteristics for a long time.

To save money, you can use vinyl analogues of a block house, which can be used to decorate a country house outside easier and faster. In addition, they do not require additional finishing after installation.

So, for example, penoplex allows not only to make a country house outwardly attractive, but also to significantly insulate it. This finish is considered the most reliable, bypassing even fiber cement boards and siding.

But it is worth remembering that the penoplex is attached only to the most even walls, so before installation you should make sure of this and, if necessary, correct the situation. Professional builders advise using foam plastic with a thickness of about 5 - 6 cm to decorate the facade of a country house. The plates are fastened with dowels or special glue. After installing the foam boards, you can proceed to plastering the house.

Decorative plaster

The use of this finish will be an ideal option if you want to bring the facade of the country house into a presentable look in the shortest possible time at minimal cost. So, when using decorative plaster, you can achieve a different effect on the facade. It all depends on the type of placeholder you're using.

There are several types of decorative facade plaster, among which are:

Acrylic for concrete and brick walls. This material is completely safe, resistant to various types of environmental influences. Due to its high elasticity, acrylic plaster is ideally applied and adheres to the surface.

Mineral, consisting of cement and polymer additives. Most often used for finishing brick houses.

Important! The unique properties of the material allow you to remove excess moisture from the outer layer of the cladding.

Silicone. This is the most expensive plaster presented, but its high characteristics allow you to apply the mixture on the wall with maximum comfort and then use the finished coating for a long time.

Facing stone

This finish is chosen by those people who want to show their status even when decorating a country house. Thanks to its unique natural shape, this material can in most cases be used without pretreatment of the walls.

Specialists distinguish hard rocks, as well as stone of medium and low density. In addition, you can select a wild stone, that is, one that is not processed in any way and sawn, which is a tile.

Finishing options by type of cottages

As previously noted, country houses are now being built from a variety of materials, and therefore their exterior decoration is different. That is why it is worth considering the most popular options for country houses and the cladding that suits them.

Timber houses

Undoubtedly, wood is considered a classic and one of the best materials for building a country house. So, I would like to note right away that the exterior decoration of a country house from a bar can be carried out only after the structure has completely shrunk. And this happens after 2 - 3 years from the date of completion of construction work.

The greatest interest of the owners of country houses made of timber is caused by such materials for exterior decoration as stone, decorative plaster, wood and even metal. Many do not deviate from the traditional design and sheathe the cottage from the outside with clapboard.

This approach has its own advantages:

  1. Reliability and durability of the cladding.
  2. Decorative appearance.
  3. Ecological purity.
  4. The possibility of disguising communications under the exterior trim.
  5. Easy installation that you can handle yourself.

In addition to natural wood, artificial analogues can also be used, which will come out cheaper, but in appearance they will not yield in any way. So, for example, siding helps to make a decent cladding of a country house and forget about painting it for a long time.

In addition to siding, fiber cement boards and thermal panels are often used for exterior decoration of country houses. It should be noted that such panels are used only if the building has a solid and reliable foundation. But, nevertheless, siding is used most often due to the availability of the material, ease of installation and high quality of the receiving cladding.

In some cases, especially when the owner wants to see his house in a brick design, it is brick that is used. It is fireproof, environmentally friendly and outwardly attractive, which becomes the starting criteria when choosing. In addition, the use of bricks for the exterior design of a house made of timber will increase the heat and sound insulation qualities of the building.

Important! Brick trim may shrink.

If brick is used as the lining of a wooden house, then it is important to make ventilation grilles that will be located at a distance of 2-3 meters from each other. It is necessary to connect a wooden wall with a brick one only with the help of metal elements. Many are stopped by the cost of such a finish, which is much higher than other similar methods.

Aerated concrete house decoration

Country houses are not only wooden, as it used to be in most cases. Now such material as aerated concrete is widespread, which is successfully used in the construction of country houses.

Typically, such houses are plastered or brick and tile are used for their exterior decoration.

Important! The external decoration of the walls of the aerated concrete country house is carried out only after the completion of the interior decoration. This is necessary so that the vapors go through the walls without restrictions.

Ordinary plaster is hardly suitable for covering the walls of a country house from the outside. Professionals advise choosing mixtures that have water-repellent properties.

For those who wish to complete the finishing of a country house from aerated concrete in the shortest possible time, we can offer to do this with porcelain stoneware slabs. They are attached to the crate or perfectly flat walls with an adhesive solution.

Now an increasing number of summer residents are choosing a metal profile for the external design of their house, which previously served as a finishing material for warehouses. Manufacturers now offer a lot of varieties of metal profiles, so choosing the right one is not difficult at all. Moreover, this material is perfect for both vertical and horizontal finishes.

It is important not only to create an exterior finish of a country house that the owner will like visually, but also one that will be combined with the overall landscape and style of the house itself. At the same time, not the last place is given to compatibility with the design of the roof of the house.

Professional designers advise using light shades for houses located in the northern latitudes, and cold shades for those built in the south. For the harmonious design of the external walls of a country house, it is important to consider these recommendations.

Advice! If it is difficult to decide on the color of the exterior design of a country house, then it would be more correct to use the one used in the interior decoration.

The exterior design of a country house can be done independently without the involvement of qualified craftsmen. It is enough to decide in advance on the quality material, the method of its fastening and carry out the work in accordance with the installation instructions corresponding to a particular cladding.

Conclusion

In order for the house to look aesthetically pleasing after the exterior design, a number of requirements must be taken into account and the right material must be selected. Only selection and installation in accordance with all the rules will be able to guarantee that the facade of a country house can be used for a long time without fear of losing its appearance and quality characteristics.

Facing a private house is an important final stage of construction. And at this stage, most developers choose the cheapest finish for the facade of the house. Why is this happening?

On the one hand, the lining of one's own housing must comply with all standards of reliability and aesthetics, and on the other hand, it is obvious that it is not worth throwing a large amount of money down the drain, without guarantees that such a decision will be fully justified.

Only one family out of ten can afford to choose any finishing option, without regard to its high cost. The remaining 9 families, and this is 90 percent of developers, try to save as much as possible and choose the cheapest way to finish the facade, sometimes even to the detriment of functionality and visual beauty.

Going to extremes is also not the best option. If you stop at the most budget option, then you can lose on the performance characteristics of the facing material. As a result, it will not withstand adverse environmental conditions such as: wind, frost, snow, rain. There is a saying about this: "the miser pays twice."

Cheap cladding of the facade of the house is quite real, you just need to choose the most optimal option, the cheaper it is to finish the facade of the house, which takes into account all the best characteristics of the material. In order to competently finish your home, while saving money, you should decide on the main aspects of choosing a material. If you purchase a good and reliable finishing material, then this is already 50% success.

The choice of facing material

When choosing, you need to know that they mainly pay attention to aesthetic characteristics already. Undoubtedly, the “beauty” of such a lining is a very subjective question, because it depends on the individual preferences of each owner.

Nevertheless, there are such parameters of facing materials that will not be left without attention in any case. You can choose the cheapest material for the facade, you just need to look at criteria such as:

  • the presence of color rulers provided by the manufacturer of the facade material;
  • parameters of resistance to fading and external defects;
  • from what raw materials the finishing material is made, including what it has with environmental friendliness.

Another important criterion is the durability of the facade. When choosing an inexpensive material, you need to make sure that it is durable so that it does not have to be changed every year. Because the cheap cladding of the facade of the house, initially low-cost, can turn into annual renovations or repairs, which will hurt the wallet of the economical owner.

The total cost of installation of facade materials

How to get a brick cheap? Buy a good brick with small defects. This can be done at the factory, or you can buy leftover stock from a dealer.

By choosing this inexpensive facing material, you can not be afraid that the facade of the house will fade. The only negative is that there is a chance of efflorescence.

Ceramic tile

The prices for the material are quite low, and the tile itself is a reliable material, so facing the house with ceramic bricks will fully justify the money invested. Tiles are mounted, as a rule, for a long time, but if you have the necessary information on installing facing bricks, you can perform work in the range from 5 to 8 weeks.

Facade tinted primer

Facade primer is a material that has become very popular in facade decoration in the shortest possible time. If the facade of the house is pre-plastered, then it is best to use a deep penetration primer for facing private housing. For, which is impregnated with an antiseptic to avoid the appearance of harmful beetles.

As you know, the appearance of the house should create a feeling of comfort and coziness. Therefore, you should not save too much, as this may adversely affect the integrity of the house in the future.

Thermal panels

Another economical option is thermal panels. The facade of this material has a lot of advantages, since in its manufacture dense polystyrene foam is used, which contributes to excellent thermal insulation. In the summer, the house will be cool, and in the winter, heat will not leave the house.

The installation of thermal panels is carried out using ordinary self-tapping screws, so almost everyone will be able to complete the installation on their own in the shortest possible time.

Another worthy advantage is that the panels can be installed at any time of the year, as the material has increased strength.

A natural stone
