Physiotherapy matrix. Why ALT "Matrix" is the best series of laser therapeutic devices? Basic control units for "matrix" devices

The "Matrix" devices (as well as the devices of the previous generation of the series) consist of four main parts:

To create a working set of the Matrix apparatus, it is absolutely not necessary to purchase all four components of the apparatus - it is enough to have a base unit and one or more emitting heads. If necessary, you can always additionally purchase the necessary equipment.

The base blocks of the Matrix apparatus, depending on the version, have 2 or 4 channels for connecting radiating heads with the possibility of independently setting parameters (radiation frequency and power) for each channel. The presence of independent channels allows you to increase the efficiency of work, since for the implementation of various methods it is not necessary to change the emitters, it is enough to select the desired channel by simply pressing a button.

Each apparatus "Matrix" contains a built-in photometer, which allows you to measure the radiation power of all types of heads. When measuring the radiation power, the device automatically determines the type of head used, the radiation wavelength and displays the value of the radiation power in watts (for impulse heads) or in milliwatts (for continuous heads) on a digital display.

The Matrix device provides for the possibility of external radiation modulation, including the BIO mode, which changes the laser radiation power during the procedure synchronously with the patient's pulse and breathing rate.

The device is equipped with various interchangeable laser and LED emitting heads (see page Emitting heads). In addition, specialized heads are connected to the device:

  • infrared matrix (ML01K), which has a large radiation area (0.89 microns, maximum power 50-60 W);
  • multi-color matrix laser-LED head MLS-1 "EFFECT", combining pulsed lasers with a wavelength of 0.63 and 0.89 microns and LEDs of blue, green and IR ranges;
  • radiating heads for extremely high frequency (EHF) therapy with a wavelength of 7.1, 5.6 and 4.9 mm.

If necessary, the heads of the EHF range are equipped with nozzles for acupuncture.

All of the above radiating heads (with the exception of the heads of the EHF range) also work with devices of the Mustang-2000 series.

Various, mirror, acupuncture and intracavitary nozzles can be used with heads.

To work with a flexible light guide

The choice of radiating heads (number and technical parameters) is mainly influenced by economic and methodological considerations. We recommend choosing the minimum reasonable set of emitting heads, which is enough to implement the basic techniques. In the future, it will always be possible to additionally purchase the missing emitting heads, guided by the principles below.

  1. LO7 and KLO6, with the maximum power for LT, are used mainly for the treatment of diseases of the tonic type, when it is necessary to provide the maximum dose.
  2. Of the LO1-LO4 radiant heads, LO3 is recommended, although the methodological recommendations most often indicate lower powers (5-10 W), a reasonable margin does not hurt, and when working with nozzles, the power decreases by an average of 2 times. Let's not forget that for the implementation of many techniques, 2 radiating heads are needed - a paravertebral technique, impact on joints from two sides, etc.
  3. The pulse radiating head LOK2, operating in the red spectral range (0.63-0.65 μm), is most effective in combined or combined exposure with the head LO3 (IR spectrum).
  4. KLO1 and KLO7 with their minimum power are used almost exclusively in reflexology.
  5. Of the continuous heads, the KLO3 is the most common, which, according to its characteristics, completely replaces helium-neon lasers in terms of method.
  6. Matrix head ML01K is the most versatile and should be included in almost every kit.
  7. The emitting head MLS-1 "EFFECT" is difficult in its application and has a high cost, which is often justified. In many ways, the efficiency of the head is determined by the presence of pulsed lasers, both red and IR ranges.
  8. CL-ILBI for intravenous laser blood irradiation is rarely included in a universal set, since it is preferable to have a separate device (see below).
  9. Matrix LED emitting heads МСО3-МСО6 are used practically only in dermatology and cosmetology.

Thus, the most optimal today is the presence of 4 emitting heads in the kit:

  • pulse IR with a power of at least 15 W (LO3) - 2 pcs.
  • matrix with pulsed IR lasers (ML01K) - 1 pc.
  • continuous with a radiation wavelength of 0.63 microns and a power of 10 mW (KLO3) - 1 pc.

The heads must be equipped with magnetic (ZM-50 and MM-50) and mirror (ZN-35 and ZN-50) nozzles, and depending on the field of application, optical nozzles can also be added - ENT, dental, gynecological, etc. n. To conduct ILBI, a room with certain sanitary and hygienic requirements is required, therefore it is preferable to use a separate device (ALT "Matrix-ILBI").

Optical attachments

A wide range of intracavitary attachments are produced for Matrix laser therapy devices, which allow you to increase the effect of laser therapy by delivering radiation directly to the pathology focus.
In various attachments, radiation losses are low and range from 20 to 60% of the power at the emitter output, which characterizes their high quality.

Proctological tips

It is used in proctology for irradiating the walls of the rectum (anal fissures, hemorrhoids, etc.).

Urological handpiece

It is made of flexible materials 30 cm long. At the end it has a dissipating cylindrical area 20 mm long.
Designed for transurethral effects on the prostate gland and urethra.

Gynecological tips

Scatters radiation over an area of O15 - 20 mm in contact.
Used for intravaginal irradiation of the cervix and appendages.

It is used intravaginally for some inflammatory diseases.

Otorhinolaryngological tips

Set of 3 nozzles.
When connected, an adapter is used.

Dental tips

Set of 3 nozzles.
When connecting, a collet clamp is used.

Acupuncture nozzles

Designed for reflexotherapeutic effects on BAP
Attachment for emitters of EHF-therapy, designed to influence BAP

Emitting heads with a single laser source allow the use of optical attachments for introducing laser radiation directly into the light channel without the use of special optics, using a simple threaded or collet connection (“hard” tool). At the exit of the nozzles, the necessary distribution of the light flux delivered to the right place is obtained.

For laser therapy, a set of tools containing the following indicatrices is sufficient: “cone”, “wide cone”, “cone to the side”, “sphere”, “cylinder”. The necessary scattering diagrams, depending on the task, are formed by processing the distal end of the light guide to a certain geometric shape, introducing a metal reflector into the cavity of the protective shell of the distal end of the metal reflector.

The light guide tool consists of three main parts: a connector for fastening, a rod and a working part - an optical scattering element. From the optical connector to the diffuser, the radiation passes through the light guide. The diffuser provides convenience of fixation in the cavity of the pathological focus and its uniform irradiation.

Mirror and magnetic nozzles

Mirror and magnetic nozzles are connected to the devices of the Matrix series, which serve to enhance the effect of laser therapy during the treatment process.

Mirror attachments receive radiation that is not absorbed by the patient's skin (reflected from it) and reflect it back, thereby significantly reducing losses and increasing the amount of radiation absorbed by the patient.

Magnetic nozzles are designed for the combined effect of a magnet and a laser - magneto-laser therapy. The combined use of these effects is much more effective than their separate use. In medical practice, magnets of 25, 50 and 75 mT are most often used. The magnetic field of the nozzles is maximally elongated towards the area of influence.

Magnetic nozzles have different values of magnetic induction and are designed for magnetic laser therapy (MLT). In medical practice, magnets with an induction of 25, 50 and 75 mT are most often used, for which an optimal set of KM-2 nozzles for MLT has been developed. The magnets currently used are made of special alloys of rare earth metals based on Nd2Fe12B, and are designed in such a way that the magnetic field is maximally elongated in the direction of impact. One set contains two magnet holders and two ring magnets (Fig. 7), which have different values of magnetic induction from different sides: 25 and 50 mT; 50 and 75 mT, respectively. This is done in order to be able to vary them as freely as possible and apply a magnet on two radiating heads at the same time. The most commonly used mirror magnet is 50 mT - ZM-50.

For matrix emitters ML01K for ALT "Matrix" specially designed magnetic attachments MM50 and MM100 are used, with a magnetic induction of 50 and 100 mT, respectively.

In addition to intracavitary and magnetic, there are optical nozzles for external use.

Mirror nozzles: ZN-35 (diameter 35 mm) and ZN-50 (diameter 50 mm) are the most common. Are intended for a mirror-contact way of influence. They are extremely versatile and useful:

  • increase the depth and intensity of the therapeutic effect,
  • ensure the stability and reproducibility of the procedure,
  • protect medical staff from reflected radiation,
  • ensure the hygiene of the procedure,
  • make it easier to calculate the dose, since the effective area of exposure is assumed to be 1 cm2.

Acupuncture nozzles: plastic A-2 (spot size no more than 2.5 mm) and modern light guide with a metal tip A-3 (spot size no more than 1 mm) - designed to concentrate laser radiation on acupuncture points.

Prefix "BIO" to ALT "Matrix"

Biosynchronization of time parameters of laser radiation exposure with endogenous biorhythms of a particular patient is one of the most interesting and promising directions in the development of technology and treatment methodology. This mode of operation was implemented in the ALT "Mustang-2000" with the block-attachment "BIO", and now it is also applied in the "Matrix" apparatus. The "Matrix-BIO" block allows for laser irradiation modulated by signals from pulse and respiration sensors connected to the patient. Biocontrolled laser therapy takes into account the biorhythmological characteristics of the patient, thereby achieving a stable therapeutic effect, the absence of side effects at a lower dose of exposure.
When a pulse sensor is connected, the amplitude of laser radiation is modulated by the patient's pulse, when a breath sensor is connected, accordingly, by the patient's breathing. As a result, in the phases of exhalation and diastole, the radiation power is minimal, and in the phases of inspiration and systole (the most favorable moment of exposure) it reaches the maximum value set before the procedure.
The principle of measuring pulse parameters is based on the operation of an optoelectronic pair photodiode-LED. Depending on the amount of blood filling, which changes synchronously with the pulse, the intensity of the signal passed through the finger changes, which is recorded by a photodiode. The processed signal is fed further to the laser power modulation circuit.
The breathing sensor is a pair of thermistors (in a plastic case) that change their resistance in proportion to the change in air temperature that occurs during breathing; located directly at the nose of the patient.
