What can be glued drywall to the wall. How to glue drywall on a wall, following the installation technology. Adhesives and putty materials

Many facing materials can only be laid on any surface provided that it is absolutely flat. But the process of bringing walls, floors or ceilings into proper condition is sometimes not only costly, but also difficult to accomplish. For example, if only 1 room is being renovated in an apartment, then it is hardly advisable to arrange a “construction site” in the dwelling, knowing that, with all the accuracy, dirt cannot be avoided anyway. Especially if there is no proper experience in this kind of business.

"Sheathing" the walls with drywall sheets can greatly simplify this work and avoid many purely technical problems, and anyone can do it, quite independently, without the help of specialists. But before you start it, you need to understand some of the features of using GKL.

Let's figure out why it is better to glue drywall to the wall than to mount it on profiles?

 • Firstly, gypsum is an integral part of the products. Therefore, this building material is quite fragile. It is well cut, sawn, turned, but it is not necessary to test its strength for a break - it will break.
 • Secondly, the further operation of the premises will be somewhat complicated by the fact that it will not be possible to “hang” anything on such a relatively “soft” surface (a massive picture, a cabinet, etc.), since the sheet itself does not hold any type of fastener .
 • Thirdly, if you “plant” sheets on glue, and not lay them on profiles, then the total volume of the room practically does not change.

But this method of leveling surfaces also has a drawback - they cannot be insulated from this side.

When deciding how to glue drywall to the wall, you need to focus on the "base" material. The method of its processing and the choice of the appropriate adhesive composition depend on it.

This installation technique is used only if the height differences over the entire area being trimmed do not exceed ± 2 cm. Or only for certain sections of the wall.

GKL gluing technology to the wall

 • Preparing the "base"

Unfortunately, it is widely believed that it makes no sense to spend a lot of time bringing it into the desired state, if later it will be lined anyway. Consequently, the finishing material will close all the cracks, irregularities, so it’s enough just to clean the surface, and then attach the drywall to the wall with glue.

 • How to do it right?

It is necessary to remove all the old coating and “walk” to the base material (concrete, brick, and so on), after which it should be thoroughly washed. This will allow you to see even the slightest surface defects. Since it is not insulated from this side, then any gap increases the level of heat loss in the room.

Hence the second point - to eliminate all cracks. In addition, you need to "level" the wall as much as possible. This will significantly save on adhesive composition and make the connection more durable.

Any building material absorbs, albeit to varying degrees, moisture. Even concrete (capillary penetration in any direction). Therefore, before gluing drywall to the wall, it is advisable to protect it from the occurrence of putrefactive processes, that is, treat it with antiseptic agents (impregnate). And wood surfaces are also flame retardants.

And the final step is priming. Firstly, such a composition will additionally “smooth out” the existing irregularities and, secondly, will provide a better “coupling” of the glue with the base.

Preparation of drywall sheets

It should be borne in mind that the adhesive compositions for fixing drywall "seize" quickly enough. Therefore, before breeding them, you need to prepare the material itself. All products have strict dimensions, so it is unlikely that an even number of them will fit along all the walls. Naturally, you will have to measure, cut, adjust to size. This work must be done in advance.

So that the blanks are not confused during the gluing process, they must be laid out on the floor, along the wall in the order in which they will be mounted.

We breed glue for drywall

This work is specific, as it depends on the components used. Therefore, the manufacturer's instructions must be followed.

The reliability of the “landing” of drywall on the adhesive to the wall largely depends on the quality of the preparation of the mixture. Better mixing can be achieved if you use an electric drill, in the cartridge of which a special nozzle is clamped. It is made from a piece of thick wire, which is shaped, for example, "petal", "butterfly". However, the electric tool should only work at low speeds. It is clear that with this method of kneading, the dishes must have sufficiently high walls.

As already mentioned, almost all compounds harden fairly quickly. Therefore, it is necessary to cook in such a volume that the glue is enough for only 1 sheet.

Gluing plasterboard sheets to walls

To save glue, you can apply strips crosswise and around the perimeter of the blanks. But so that when they are pressed against the wall, it does not protrude from under the drywall, it should be 3–4 cm away from the edges. However, if the base has irregularities, then it is better to process the entire sheet (or put “heaps”), and with a thicker layer.

After that, the workpiece is attached to the wall, and wires are brought out into the holes made. And only now it is applied in the right place and pressed down.

Be sure to use the level to control the "orientation" of the sheet in the horizontal and vertical plane.

Joint sealing

First, the cracks are sealed with putty, and on top it must be covered with paint so that it does not crack in the future. Then a special tape is glued to the seam

If drywall is fastened with glue to a concrete wall that has been painted, then it can be primed directly over the paintwork layer if you use a composition whose name or description contains the phrase "betacontact" (or "concrete contact"). This will make the task even easier, since you do not have to peel off the paint.

It is necessary to pre-make (if necessary) holes in the sheets for the output of wires, fastening sockets, switches.

If the surface is uneven enough, then it is recommended to use the Perflix adhesive. It is laid on the sheet not in stripes, but in “heaps”, and when pressed on the workpiece during fastening, it fills the recesses in the wall. In addition, it is necessary to apply glue to the wall, in the area of "problem" places.

Plasterboard cladding is suitable for covering internal load-bearing walls and partitions if, during interior renovation, the finishing is carried out as soon as possible without plastering.

Thanks to the installation of drywall on gypsum glue, we minimize the spread of dust when grouting walls, if the walls are leveled with plaster.

The base to which the gypsum boards are glued is strong, not loose, not exposed to frost, rain and moisture.

Gypsum board glued to gypsum glue cannot be used to cover inclined and horizontal surfaces, ceilings.

There are two methods for installing drywall boards:

 • fixing plates using gypsum adhesive mortar - more on that below;
 • fastening of plates on a steel profile.

How to glue drywall on glue. Step-by-step instruction

PPreparing the wall for attaching drywall boards to the adhesive is done in two steps:

 • complete concealed installation
 • dust and loose material residues must be thoroughly cleaned from the wall surface

Wall priming

The surface of the wall to which the drywall is glued is primed to strengthen and even out the absorbency of the base. To do this, it is worth using a primer, which is used for priming absorbent and porous surfaces made of cellular concrete, Ceresit CT 17 or another similar in characteristics. We wait until the soil dries at least 12 hours.

Drywall preparation

Selecting 9.5mm or 12.5mm plasterboard wallboard, cut to wall height minus 15mm to leave gaps between ceiling and floor. We measure and cut holes in the plate for sockets using an electric jigsaw or a drywall hand saw.

The solution is mixed with a drill and a stirrer (mixer). Do not stir the glue at idle, so as not to foam the mixture.

Glue application

We start applying glue cakes. The distance between the rows of cakes is 600 mm, and for pancakes in one row 300 mm, gypsum cakes are made with a diameter of 100-150 mm.

For window niches, gypsum adhesive is applied to the surface of the gypsum board with a spatula or notched trowel and adhered.

Gluing drywall boards

After applying the cakes, glue the plates to the wall. From below we put linings on the floor (pieces of drywall).

Surface leveling

To identify irregularities, use a long level, applying to the drywall surface. Adjustment of gypsum boards from the moment of gluing to the wall is done within 25 minutes. After this period, the gypsum adhesive hardens and further interference with the structure of the cake will cause the surface of the base to peel off.

After the gypsum glue has dried, we control the further laying of the plates on the wall using a spirit level.

Seam sealing

After gluing the gypsum boards, we proceed to filling the joints between the boards, using the starting and then finishing putty gypsum, and reinforcing tape.

Completion of installation

Such a prepared surface is ready for finishing (painting, wallpapering).

Attention!

During installation, we observe constant humidity and air temperature. Works involving the release of moisture, complete or stop. Minimum installation temperature +10 °C. It is important to avoid abrupt changes, cooling or overheating of the room.

Repair is always a troublesome task, especially when you do it yourself. Questions arise, how best to level the wall, how to glue drywall to the wall, what materials to use for painting, what tools are needed. These and other questions are faced by absolutely all non-professional builders who started repairs in the apartment on their own.

How to glue drywall on a wall is of interest to everyone who wants to independently transform their home, to carry out modern repairs in the simplest and most affordable way. After all, it is with the help of this material that you can level the walls without significant plastering and puttying work, which are very dusty.

How to glue drywall to the wall

As a rule, drywall sheets are mounted on a metal profile frame, but with the help of such an installation, the useful area of the room is “sneaked”. You can fix the sheet on the wall using special glue, that is, stick it directly on the wall.

It is worth noting that with this technique it will not be possible to insulate the room. Therefore, it is not recommended to finish the walls with drywall in rooms whose walls freeze through. Also, do not use glue in the cold season, as it needs to dry completely on the surface.

How to glue drywall, they will tell you in a specialized place, because there are different types of glue for different surfaces.

The technique of fixing GKL on the walls with glue is very simple and can be done by people who have never done repair work before. Before gluing drywall, you need to prepare the surface.

For gluing drywall to the wall, use materials of the KNAUF trademark, which have proven themselves to be high-quality and flawless products.

Step 1: preparatory work

Gluing drywall requires preparatory work.

The first thing to do before fixing the sheet to the wall is to prepare the surface. This type of work is very important and should be approached with full responsibility. To prepare the surface for the sticker, you must:

 • it is good to clean the walls of dust and other contaminants, remove the plaster that has peeled off;
 • carry out the wiring of the electrical line in the room, if necessary. To carry out such work, a groove is made in the wall into which the power cable is placed. In the places of installation of sockets and switches, recesses are made in order to arrange boxes for attaching these elements;
 • apply a primer to the walls using special compounds. The primer is selected depending on the material of the walls;
 • marking the location of drywall sheets. When performing this kind of work, you should use the building level, which will allow you to glue the material evenly. After the level is determined, a horizontal mark is made on the wall.

Step 2: sticking sheets on the walls

The gluing process depends on the evenness of the surface. To securely fix drywall sheets to the wall with glue, you must:

 • prepare the adhesive according to the manufacturer's instructions. This is a very essential requirement, since the composition, depending on the brand and manufacturer, has a different hardening rate. Experts recommend that before preparing the adhesive solution, first read the instructions carefully, and only then cook;
 • perform the marking of drywall sheets. This is especially true for those materials that will be attached to a place on the wall where there are sockets or switches. Such places are very carefully measured. A hole is drilled on the GKL in accordance with the data obtained. This can be done with an ordinary crown on a tree;
 • apply glue using a special spatula with teeth. Experts recommend applying the composition over the entire surface for a stronger fixation. It will be much easier to align the “floating” sheet on the surface;
 • install face down on the pads near the fixing point, bring the wires into the prepared holes, lightly press against the wall. Do not strongly press the drywall to the surface, as it needs to be leveled;
 • level the glued drywall sheet using the rule, measure the evenness with a level and press it against the wall.

Such gluing of drywall can be implemented on relatively flat walls, for example, concrete.

Drywall bonding on uneven surfaces

Uneven walls require special gluing technology. Brick walls are uneven, for which special adhesives are used.

Watch the video to find out more:

Like concrete walls, brick walls need cleaning. Preparatory work is carried out in the same way as on concrete.

Fixing process on uneven surfaces:

 • special glue is applied around the perimeter in small portions at a distance of 25 cm. The composition can be applied using an ordinary spatula. The solution must also be applied in the middle of the sheet in two small strips at a distance of 50 cm from one another;
 • put drywall on prepared linings, align with the rule. Press against the wall and level using a special level. Nervousness can be removed by tapping with your hand.

When gluing uneven walls, it is necessary to ensure the application of an adhesive composition up to 30 mm thick.

How to glue drywall on very uneven walls

For too uneven surfaces, the above methods will not work. For fixing on very uneven walls, the GKL should be cut into strips 10 cm wide, the prepared strips should be fixed with glue along the perimeter of the room at the top and bottom. Also, such strips are glued vertically on the wall at a distance of 60 cm. Thus, a kind of frame will be obtained.

The base should be fixed especially evenly. For precision, a level and a rule are used. A smooth surface is created using glue: in some places it is applied with a thickness of only a few millimeters, and in others up to several centimeters.

After complete drying, you can start gluing the main sheets. We glue drywall to the frame, carefully monitoring the evenness of the surface.

You can glue drywall on the walls with special glue or “liquid nails”. Both placement options allow you to securely fix the drywall on the wall.

The process of gluing drywall to glue is not difficult. It allows you to very simply and quickly align the walls for further cladding. Such a surface can be designed in different ways: paint, tile or wallpaper.

Drywall sheets are a great alternative to plaster. Fastening to the wall can be done with glue or using a special metal profile. In this article, we will talk about the first method.

Aligning the walls with such sheets does not take much time, it is only important to know how to glue drywall to the wall correctly, because most often the sheets are glued.

Assortment for plasterboard

There are several types of adhesives that are used for gluing drywall sheets (GKL) to walls:

 1. "Ceresit SM 11" represents, but is also suitable for gluing drywall sheets.
 2. "Perflix" perfect for gluing drywall to brick walls. A simple and relatively cheap version of the adhesive composition that can be used at home.
 3. "Fugenfüller"- in the form of putty, which must be diluted with water, requires manual mixing, the applied layer must be thin.
 4. silicone adhesive glues ceramic tiles or mirror surfaces with plasterboard well.
 5. "Knauf Fugen"(putty) is suitable for gluing sheets to flat wall surfaces. The mixture is plastic due to the polymer additives included in its composition. Must be applied in a thin layer.
 6. for drywall or mounting adhesive- convenient and easy to use, inexpensive. Ideal for home use, for this reason it is this composition that is most often recommended for gluing drywall sheets to the wall.

Advice! When choosing an adhesive, the evenness of the wall should be taken into account.

The choice of adhesive depending on the evenness of the wall

There are three options for surfaces to which drywall sheets will be attached:

 • a flat surface (stone or monolithic plastered walls) with a height difference of not more than 5 mm;
 • Brick wall;
 • surface with significant irregularities.

On a flat wall, gluing drywall is carried out using almost any adhesive composition. It can be cement-based or gypsum-based glue, polyurethane foam, polymer mastic. The most simple and affordable way is mounting on mounting foam.

For gluing sheets to a completely flat surface, adhesive mastic is suitable. Manufacturers package it in plastic tubes, from which glue is squeezed out using a special gun.

The adhesive composition based on cement or gypsum will need to be diluted with water before use according to the description on the package.

Advice! Before fixing the sheet with a gypsum or cement-based adhesive, spray the wall surface with water from a spray bottle.

If the installation of drywall is carried out on a brick wall, then with even masonry, any glue can be used. For uneven brick surfaces, "Perflix" is ideal, which is applied to the sheets dotted around the entire perimeter. The thickness of the adhesive layer should vary from 5 to 30 mm, the distance between the "dots" should be approximately 30-50 cm.

In order to glue the GKL on an uneven wall, it is suitable, while the curvature should be no more than 2 cm. If the slope is greater, it is necessary to cut the sheets into strips 10 cm wide and glue them to the wall through a gap of 35 cm using Fugen putty.

Wall preparation

Before gluing drywall to the wall, its surface must be prepared:

 1. To determine the best way to fasten the sheets, you need to find out how the wall is curved. Measure the wall with a rule or a plumb line.
 2. Remove protruding nails, screws and other elements.
 3. Clean the surface of the remnants of wallpaper, paint and other finishing materials. Only a brick or concrete base should remain. This ensures reliable bonding.
 4. Clean the walls of dust, dirt and primer. This helps to increase the adhesion of materials and causes a strong adhesion of the gypsum board and glue to the wall.
 5. Draw lines on the floor along which the sheets will be aligned. In the case of a strong curvature of the wall, draw similar lines on the ceiling. This will ensure that the drywall is installed in the same plane.
 6. Treat surfaces with poor adhesion with a primer. It must be selected in accordance with the material of the walls. Treat highly absorbent surfaces with a product that will reduce this property.

After all preparations are completed, gluing can begin.

Required Tools

To do the job well, you need special tools:

 • drywall sheets;
 • several spatulas;
 • gypsum-based putty or glue;
 • a container in which the adhesive composition will be diluted;
 • 2-3 wooden bars;
 • pencil;
 • plumb;
 • reinforcing tape;
 • sealant.

Step-by-step instructions for gluing drywall to a flat wall

GKL are perfectly glued to the surface, the irregularities of which are not more than 4 mm. Drywall is attached to such bases as follows:

 1. Start finishing from the corner.
 2. Make the solution in accordance with the instructions on the package (Fugenfüller putty is most often used). Do not dilute a lot of adhesive at once, as it has a short shelf life.
 3. Apply glue to the GKL around the perimeter (along the edges) with a notched trowel. Make one or two stripes in the middle of the sheet. The application should be continuous if it is subsequently planned to hang shelves on the wall. Glue should not come out at the joint.
 4. Place 2-3 pads on the floor along the wall, which will provide a 10 mm gap between the floor and the edge of the drywall. The support should not be solid, since air access is necessary for the adhesive to dry.
 5. Lift the gypsum board and press it against the wall, placing it on the spacers. It will be more convenient to take a sheet if it lies on 2-3 wooden blocks on the floor.
 6. With a fist or a mallet, align the GKL vertically, the lines previously drawn on the floor will be a guide.
 7. Install all the sheets in the room in the same way. Periodically check the evenness of the GKL relative to each other by the rule. The seams should be tight and even.
 8. Do not forget about the holes for sockets and switches.
 9. The adhesive composition dries in about 3-4 days. After the glue has completely dried, remove the gaskets and seal the gaps with sealant.

Advice! If GKL is used to level a wooden wall, then wide-head nails can be used.

Step-by-step instructions for attaching GKL to an uneven surface

The method of fastening the GKL to a concrete or brick wall, the unevenness of which varies from 5 to 20 mm, practically does not differ from that described above. It is only necessary to change the adhesive composition and the method of its application.

 1. For large irregularities, use Perflix. Apply it in the form of cakes with a diameter of 1-1.5 cm at a distance of 30-35 cm from each other, first along the perimeter, and then in the center of the plasterboard.
 2. When the adhesive is applied, lift the sheet and place it on the pads lying on the floor. Align the GKL along the lines that are drawn on the ceiling and floor.
 3. There should be no glue in the seam, remove its excess with a spatula.

The existing large bumps and depressions on the surface of the walls greatly complicate the procedure for gluing the GKL. To do the job efficiently, use beacons.

 1. Cut the sheet into strips 10 cm wide and glue them vertically with Perflix. Between them there should be a gap of 40-60 cm.
 2. Align the strips - they should be placed in the same plane. This will form a frame on the wall, let it dry. It is at this stage that the wall is leveled.
 3. After 2-3 days, when the frame dries and reliable adhesion to the wall surface is achieved, attach the GKL to it using Fugenfüller or liquid nails.

Advice! The smaller the distance between the strips, the more reliable the bonding will be.

Completion of works

After the adhesive composition has completely dried, after 2-3 days, proceed to puttying the joints: apply putty for leveling, then press the reinforcing tape into it. When everything is dry, apply another leveling coat of putty on the joints and on the protruding nail heads (if used).

Advice! For leveling, you can use the same mixture that was used for gluing the GKL.

Seal the gaps along the floor with sealant. Fine finishing work can only be started after the joints have completely dried.

 1. Finish all electrical wiring work before leveling the walls with plasterboard.
 2. Drywall cannot be glued onto lime plaster.
 3. Glue the sheets exclusively on the carrier base, while it should not delaminate or crumble.
 4. Dowels will provide additional fastening strength. Use 4-5 pieces per plate.
 5. Glue the plasterboard to the walls at a temperature of + 10˚ C.
 6. Leave the drywall to lie down in the room where it will be attached to the wall for 2-3 days.
 7. Cut the GKL so that there is a gap of 10 mm below. This will protect the drywall from absorbing moisture from the floor.
 8. You can apply different gluing techniques even on the same wall.
 9. If the base is made of gas silicate blocks, then apply glue not on the plasterboard, but directly on the wall surface.

Drywall is an excellent substitute for plastering, it saves a lot of time and money, the result looks great, and dirt is minimal when working with drywall. There are several possible ways to glue drywall to a wall.

The most commonly used method of attaching plates to a structure made of steel guides. This method allows you to lay additional layers of sound and thermal insulation, stretch communications, and is generally quite convenient.

However, in typical small-sized apartments, its use is not justified, since when mounted on steel rails, a large amount of usable area is lost. And if this is not critical for a private house, then in a city apartment, a loss of up to 10 centimeters of indentation along each of the walls can reduce the area of the room from 16 to 14 square meters, which, you see, is quite noticeable.

It is this circumstance that forces one to make a choice in favor of gluing drywall sheets to the walls in order to level them.

When fastening drywall boards, use steel guides, this will allow you to lay additional layers of thermal and sound insulation

Preparation of walls and material for gluing drywall to the wall

Before gluing drywall to the wall, it must be additionally prepared, namely:

 • Completely remove the remnants of old wallpaper from the walls, clean up to concrete, brick or plaster. If you plan to glue drywall on old plaster, make sure that it is firmly in contact with the wall;
 • If the wall is painted, it is necessary to remove the paint with abrasive products or use special primers that improve the contact between the material and the wall;
 • Prime the prepared surface to ensure reliable and uniform adhesion of the adhesive to the wall;
 • All communications and wiring must be carried out in the main wall before the plasterboard cladding. Cables in strobes must be secured with ties every half a meter.

Useful advice: in order to use a corrugated cable in case of failure of individual sections of the wiring, or if it is necessary to replace them after the expiration of the life of the wires (which is up to 20 years).

Embedded in the wall at the initial stage, a corrugation of circular cross section and a small diameter, with a broaching conductor, will later, if necessary, simply pull sections of wires out of the wall without destroying the exterior finish. With a low cost and ease of installation - it pays for itself many times over. Being, among other things, additional protection for your wiring.

Plasterboard slabs must be laid out along the walls in advance on a flat surface, face down. Cut them in such a way that during installation there is a gap of up to one and a half centimeters from the side of the floor and ceiling. It is needed for ventilation and as a heat shrink seam. Leave the corners untouched for now, they are faced last.

Install supports 10-15 millimeters high along the wall, on which you will put the plates during the installation process.

Before you start gluing drywall boards, clean the surface of your walls by removing any residue of old wallpaper or plaster

Necessary tools to glue drywall to the wall

Finally, before gluing drywall to the wall, you need to prepare all the necessary tools, such as:

 • Notched trowel for applying glue if the curvature of the walls does not exceed 5 millimeters;
 • Trowel, for mixing glue, and for applying it to the surface, if the curvature of the walls exceeds 15 or more millimeters in some areas;
 • Container for mixing glue - it is best to take a modern building plastic container, the glue from which
 • peels off easily after drying. Dilute the glue a little, it seizes very quickly;
 • A mallet, preferably rubber, for leveling the sheets after they are pressed against the wall;
 • Level and rule with a length of at least 2 meters, including for leveling the surface horizontally;
 • Plumb line, paint knife, construction pencil, tape measure, level. All these tools are needed at the preparatory stages.

It is important to know: on the floor and on the ceiling, you can apply markings made using a plumb line, it will facilitate further alignment of the walls.

Prepare all the necessary tools in advance, they will greatly reduce your time, and the result will be of better quality.

Basic ways to stick drywall on the wall

There are three main methods that are used when you need to fix drywall with glue to the wall. The choice of one or another method depends on the curvature of the walls on which the installation is carried out:

 • If the walls are sufficiently even and the curvature of individual sections does not exceed 5 millimeters, the simplest method is used: after all the preparatory procedures, putty or special glue is applied to the slabs laid out along the walls with a notched trowel, glue is applied around the perimeter and in the center of the slab. If the plate is thinner than 10 millimeters, two strips of glue are applied in the center. In areas for tiling, the adhesive is applied in a continuous layer. Glue layer from 5 to 15 millimeters.
 • The technology for walls with a curvature of 5 to 20 millimeters is different in that the adhesive is applied with a trowel, in a layer of 25 to 35 millimeters, in heaps, in a checkerboard pattern, every 30 centimeters. At the same time, the height of the adhesive is adjustable for specific sections of the walls.
 • For walls with a curvature of more than 20 millimeters, a third method is used: the installation of beacons. Prior to the installation of the plates, plasterboard strips 10 centimeters wide are glued to the wall. They are fixed every half a meter, leveling the rule. Glue is applied to them in the same way as in the second installation method. After daily drying, the plates themselves are already glued to the lighthouses, the glue is applied in the first way.

What you can’t do without: after installing the plates, do not rush to immediately seal all the joints of the seams - let the glue dry properly, it will take 48 hours, during which there should be no drafts, a sharp temperature drop and humidity in the room. After that, all seams and joints can be sealed.

An additional way to stick drywall on the wall

In addition to all of the above, gluing drywall to the wall can be done using mounting foam. However, this method should be performed only by professionals, otherwise the result will be of poor quality and short-lived. The advantage of this technology is that installation can be easily done by one person. Foam mounting is done using the following technology:

 • The slab leans against the main wall on supports and clings to it with hardware using plastic dowels installed in drywall;
 • The plate is leveled using the level and adjustment of the fasteners;
 • Small holes are drilled next to the dowels, sufficient to push the nose of the foam canister;
 • Through the holes, the foam is pumped behind the wall, in small portions, since too much can cause the wall to swell, which means you have to start all over again. Holes are made in a checkerboard pattern, every half a meter or a little less from each other.
 • A day later, the fasteners are pulled out of the wall, and all the holes are puttied.

However, this method requires great skill and is not recommended for use by non-professionals.

As you can see from the article, sticking drywall on the wall is not so difficult. And with constant practice, it is even easier and faster than frame fastening.

Depending on the condition of the walls in the same room, several different methods can be used. For example, a frame with insulation is made on the outer wall of the house, and the plates are simply glued to the inner walls.

For each specific case, use the most appropriate option. Do the work slowly. Having previously made all measurements and markings. So you will save yourself from many mistakes and alterations.

Drywall is the material of the future. Easy to use, it retains its qualities for a long time. Don't be afraid to try it once and you'll find it's comfortable and a good material to work with.
