For this package you will need:

First, using a clerical knife, I cut out an oval bottom of a suitable size from cardboard. Oval - because I will have two toys in one package. For one toy, you can make a round bottom.
Then she cut out:
No. 1. 2 parts of the bottom of an opaque fabric and marked the seam line 1.5-2 millimeters larger than the cardboard bottom
Rectangular parts with a length equal to the perimeter of the bottom:
No. 2. 2 rectangular pieces of opaque fabric 10 cm wide
No. 3. 1 rectangular piece of transparent fabric so that the toys are visible, the width depends on the height of the toy (33 cm fit me)
No. 4. 1 rectangular piece for the top of the bag made of opaque fabric 15 cm wide.
I sewed part No. 1 and No. 2 on a sewing machine. I don’t grind the narrow side of part No. 2 yet. I repeated it again - for the inner bottom, so that the cardboard was not visible and everything looked neat. I sewed a side seam on the inner part, but not yet on the outer part.
I sewed a personalized fabric label with a zigzag seam to the outer part. At this point, my machine became capricious and began to skip stitches, so I ironed a piece of interlining from the inside, and the problem disappeared.
Part No. 3 was sewn to the long side of part No. 2, and part No. 4 was sewn to part No. 3.
I stitched the side seam, I did not forget to leave a small unsewn place for the drawstring, where I would thread the lace-string. If the fabric is loose, you need to process the sections with an overlock or zigzag.
Seam allowances ironed on opaque parts.
On the topmost opaque strip, I sewed a drawstring for a tie.
On the inner part-liner ironed the allowance on the wrong side.
I put the cardboard bottom in a fabric bag
then she put the inner part-liner into the bag inside out. I combined the edges of the opaque parts and stitched on a typewriter (a little uncomfortable because of the cardboard bottom, but in principle it doesn’t really interfere).
Today I'll show you how I pack my kids in individual boxes. Such packaging turns out to be reliable, convenient and subsequently useful to the future hostess.
I am very worried about my children when they go to their moms and dads. They must come to them safe and sound. Naturally, I appreciate and respect potential parents-buyers and such a box as a sign of attention to their choice. After trying many packaging methods, I settled on this one.
For work you will need the following materials:
- any cardboard box;
- a piece of dense fabric;
- glue "Strongman" ("Titan" or any universal),
- scissors;
- ruler;
- pencil;
- clamps or clothespins;
- masking tape (optional)
- satin ribbon;
Well, it's actually a toy.
First I need to take measurements. Putting a toy on my back, I measure:
height 9+1cm = 10 cm;
length 27+2cm = 29 cm;
width 16+2cm = 18 cm
Each parameter is individual, I add 1 cm on all sides so that the toy is comfortable in the box. Subsequently, on the sides and height, these parameters will be just right for the toy.
The box must be fully expanded and the resulting parameters transferred to it.
Below is the diagram:
Bottom - sidewall, this is the size of the height and length of the toy,
then the bottom is where the toy itself will be placed, here are all 3 parameters (height, length and width),
on the sides - two sides, sides of the box (height and width of the toy)
Above is the same sidewall as below.
Next is the lid, the same as the bottom
and for fixing the box, the valve is slightly smaller than the lower side.
I highlighted in gray in the diagram the wrappers that will fix the sides of the box. The red lines are cutting lines.

Where there is work with boxes, there is my assistant, well, he cannot be indifferent to them.
I bend along the lines, temporarily fix the sides with clamps. I'm checking to see if I missed it. Everything is in order, whether it will be convenient for the traveler.
The cover is also in order, but I will make the valve a little narrower.

Having checked everything, I proceed to the assembly. First, I glue the wrappers on the sides.
I’ll tell you about the glue, having tried a lot of glues, I settled on the “Strongman”, it is slightly cheaper than the “Titan”, but is not inferior to the adhesive qualities. The smell disappears quickly, compared to Moments. It is not convenient to fix the fabric with a hot gun, although it is possible. I don't like PVA.
Glued the sides. I glue the masking tape around the perimeter and corners from the sides. From below, at the bottom, I pierce holes and thread two satin ribbons, later with their help I will fix the toy so that it does not sway during shipment.
I'm going to cover the box with fabric. The fabric should be larger than the box in length and width. First I fix in the middle with a clamp.
I pull the fabric up to the valve, fix it. Clips on the sides too. There is enough fabric.
I cut off the excess length. I start gluing from the front side. I fold the fabric inward and put it on the glue.
I cut off the excess fabric, but leave a margin of 5-8mm for the collar, glue on the sides.

Next are the side pieces. I cut the fabric on one side with a margin of 1.5 cm, fold this part and glue it. On the other hand, the margin for the collar is 5 mm, I glue it on the back side.
I fold it inward so that there is an aesthetically attractive angle.
I glue it inside. I do the same with the second side.
Here's what happens.
Now you need to glue the back, cover and valve. To do this, turn the box upside down.
I cut off the excess fabric on the sides. I leave a margin for the collar of about 3-4 cm.
I make the hem for the back side even smaller, I cut the fabric to the box.
Back view. I glue the gates inside.
I glue it tightly to the box. The corners are nice.
Lid. I wanted to make it soft. Laid 2 layers of synthetic winterizer. You can, of course, not do this. And you can go further, make a tightening with buttons, or embroider. Decor according to mood and taste.
I fix the padding polyester with glue. I pull the fabric, I look, the thickness suits.
My assistant, meanwhile, broke down and fell asleep :)
I start fixing the fabric on the lid. Vnatyazhechku glue the gates on both sides.
I glue the fabric on the valve behind the bend.
While everything dries, I cut out 5 parts. For the inside of the lid, bottom and 3 blank sides.
I cover with fabric. View from the inside.
This is in front, they are needed to strengthen the whole box, because at the post office they throw, throw, in a word, they treat parcels terribly. And of course they are needed for the finishing decor of all internal surfaces. Companion fabric can be used here.
I simply glue the back wall with a cloth, tucking the edges around the edges. I glue with a margin on the lid and bottom.
I glue parts on surfaces. The elephant already likes this packaging. I think he's looking forward to his first trip.

I know that the idea is not new and very simple, but often such simple ideas help to make.
I bought gift wrapping paper from Jysk. I like that it is quite large in them (6 meters in a package). I wanted to decorate exactly two boxes that I have on the rack. The furniture is white, so I chose the color of the paper with a white base.
