How to make a comfortable country chair. How to make a garden chair: a drawing and a detailed description of the assembly. Pallet chair

For many centuries and millennia, the chair was practically the emblem of states, and not just furniture for ordinary use. In ancient Egypt, chairs represented great wealth and splendor. Made of ebony, ivory or carved and gilded wood, they were covered with expensive materials, decorated with legs in the form of animals or figures of captives. Today, a modern garden chair, created with your own hands for a summer residence, can also become a generic emblem, especially if you make it together with your family.

The most interesting ideas

  • If we talk about such a piece of furniture as an armchair, and its drawings, it's hard not to remember the design of the architect Ferdinand Kramer. His "Knockdown Furniture", designed on a do-it-yourself basis, was invented 50 years ago. The architect focused on utility and a high degree of flexibility, pragmatically focusing on the conditions of mobile life. The glued wood chair, which can be made using the drawings of this designer, is easy to assemble and disassemble, so it is especially convenient for transportation, which is very important when the furniture is not left in the country for the winter.
  • Having a fine geometry and computer-designed classic armchair with traditional design, ergonomics and aesthetics, standing in the country house in the garden, will create an atmosphere of incredible coziness and traditional comfort.

The design of this chair is well streamlined and its intricate details are easy enough to cut. The seams are glued, all parts are easily connected if grooves are provided.

  • In modern parlance, the term chaise longue can refer to any lounge chair. The literal translation of this name is "long chair". On a sun lounger it is convenient to sunbathe near the country pool and relax in the shade of an apple orchard. This furniture is easy to produce by carefully studying the drawing.

  • The first mention of a rocking chair dates back to 1766. Many people love this chair because of the soothing, gentle movements. The human brain associates these movements with safety and comfort, the embrace of a mother or a cradle. Gentle rocking has been shown to relax the body and allow people to sleep better. A rocking chair can be made based on the drawing of one of its many models.

Wooden armchairs

Pallet chair

Country everyday life, vacation, sun, children's laughter. But something is still missing. “Make furniture with your own hands, finally!” - our soul begins to scream to us, because life passes, summer days fly somewhere, I want to create something beautiful and durable to remember this vacation. And what could be better than practical furniture made for yourself and your beloved family? We very often see wooden pallets thrown along the sides of the roads, in parking lots or landfills. But what can be done with this "garbage"? A little imagination! From seemingly useless stocks of wood, you get a chic chair.

To begin with, it is worth cleaning the wood with a soapy solution with bleach and letting it dry completely. It is worth noting that there are many types of pallets of non-standard size, as there is no single international standard for different loads or containers. You can find many different types of wooden pallets and among them choose the most suitable for the product.

Then, before you start working with wood material, you need to come up with an idea, make drawings on paper - this will help to present a clear end result.

For example, for this chair, you will need to bring 2-3 pallets to the cottage, depending on the quality of their wood and size. The chair can be made using a minimum number of tools:

  • saw,
  • drill / screwdriver,
  • 50 screws
  • sandpaper.

First of all, you need to disassemble the pallets, this is the most unpleasant, but necessary part of the work. If you dismantle the pallets with a crowbar or similar tool, then most likely, such disassembly may result in cracks or breakage of the boards. So the best way is to just cut the pallets with a saw. In this case, there will be no nails or cracks on the boards from which the chair will be built. After the material is prepared, it should be sorted. Some boards will go to the backrest devices, others to the seat device, and others to the armrests and the remaining parts of the structure.

To make a comfortable, round and high back, you can use 5 boards 7 cm wide. After they are combined into a slightly curved structure, a round shape is drawn with a pencil, which is carefully cut out.

The seat is made from 10 narrower boards. In the course of work, additional measurements are constantly made. Before screwing each screw, you need to drill holes. To choose the diameter of the drill, they are guided by the size of the screw.

Wide armchair

For work you will need:

  • roulette,
  • saw,
  • drill,
  • Sander,
  • a hammer,
  • putty,
  • wood glue.

According to the drawing, dimensions are calculated, wooden boards are being prepared. First, the two sides of the chair are assembled. After that, attach the rear top bar at an angle of 45 degrees with glue and screws. Next, cut out 3 boards for the seat support, which are then evenly distributed and fastened. Sitting boards are stuffed directly on them. The chair can be equipped with comfortable and soft cushions to make it pleasant to sit on.

Willow armchair

Why bring building materials to the dacha if they can be found on the spot? To make this chair without bark, you need to collect branches at the beginning of summer, when the juice runs through them, then they are easy to clean. The material must be prepared with a margin, because some branches, due to various defects, may be completely unsuitable for work. When creating a chair, you can use both nails and screws.

What you need to prepare:

  • a hammer,
  • pocket knife,
  • saw,
  • leather gloves,
  • drill,
  • secateurs,
  • roulette.

To work on the chair, you will need to make a template for 2 symmetrical sides. To draw this template, you can measure the standard dimensions of any chair or chair and orient yourself to them.

First, branches are selected for two front and two rear legs, the back ones should be longer, because at the same time they will play the role of a back. After that, two identical side structures are created, for rigidity they are reinforced with diagonal elements.

Then, using a wooden support, these two side parts begin to be fastened with 4 branches, 2 of which are fixed in front and 2 in the back. Branches that are arranged crosswise reinforce the structure.

After that, you can start making handrails, each of them consists of two branches. When the "skeleton" of the chair is ready, it is gradually sheathed with thin willow rods. You can trim them after they are securely attached.

For fastening instead of nails, you can use a rope or twine. After the chair is made, the design must be checked more than once for safety. No knots or nails should stick out! If the chair is planned to be brought into the house, then its legs should be closed with cups. The chair can be covered with linseed oil, this will ennoble its appearance. Willow chair for giving is ready!

Carpentry lovers are always wary of moving to upholstered furniture, and prefer to buy ready-made sets of sofas and armchairs, complementing them in style with tables and cabinets of their own making. There is a reason for this: firstly, for this you need to master related disciplines, such as cutting and sewing or knitting, and secondly, take care not only about the strength and appearance of the product, but also about the convenience of sitting or lying on it.

But, the attempt is not torture, for a test, you can make a modest carpentry product using a simple foam rubber upholstery method or ready-made furniture cushions. Making armchairs can become an exciting team hobby, friends or family members with different applied skills will be able to combine their talents and join in at different stages of creating upholstered furniture. This will open up a lot of room for design decisions and material selection.

classic armchair

The manufacture of this small-sized chair consists of two main stages.

Preparing parts and assembling the frame

Especially carefully you need to work on the rear legs, to obtain a curved shape of which it is necessary to use a finished pattern and a jigsaw. The vertical part of the backrest and the rear seat support are attached to the rear legs.

The front legs are square and can be made from glued rectangular bars. Their ends must also be narrowed with an electric jigsaw. Fasteners are made with self-tapping screws, for which it is necessary to pre-drill holes with a diameter less than one third.

Before installation, carpentry glue is applied to the surface of the joints. The seat rails are fixed in the corners with additional details, with edges cut at 45 degrees. For seating, you can use plywood or furniture fabric tapes.

At the last stage of assembly, the armrests and curly ears of the back are attached. The dimensions of the parts can be taken from ready-made drawings, or you can take a pattern from old disassembled chairs.

Upholstery

The back and the inside of the armrests are glued with textile furniture tape. The seat is covered with layers of foam rubber, synthetic winterizer and fabric, which should be 4-5 cm larger in size, due to which they will be bent in the front and attached at the bottom of the seat.

Then the upholstery of the armrests and back is done. To obtain a rounded shape, special grooves are made, after fixing, the extra pieces of foam rubber and padding polyester are carefully cut off. To master the skills of furniture upholstery, you will have to be patient and use video lessons.

Lattice chair with reclining seat

For the manufacture of a lattice structure, you need a beam with a section of 2.8, which is cut into strips of the same length of 50-60 cm, depending on the selected dimensions of the product.

The workpieces should have a perfectly flat surface, and you should also try to accurately mark the places for mounting them on the rack as accurately as possible.

For the manufacture of the supporting structure - sidewalls, plywood 3 cm thick is used, from which the sides of the chair are cut according to the pattern. Then these two polished parts are connected to each other by bases, which are called drawers: at the bottom, at the top and at the level of the seat support.

Then, on this structure with self-tapping screws, it is necessary to fix the prepared bars with an interval of 2.5 cm. Round off the edges. The photo shows several different models of bar chairs, made independently using this technology.

Country chairs

These wooden chairs are a more simplified version of the classic ones. The scheme for assembling a wooden frame is basically the same, but the wooden parts are not rounded, the simplest armrests and even legs are made from the bars according to the principle of a children's designer.

Particular attention is required to the processing of the end parts of the furniture, which will be in the open air. After careful grinding of the surface, it is processed with hot drying oil and covered with 3 layers of varnish. Removable cushions add softness to country chairs.

Hanging chair hammock

To make this necessary attribute of relaxation in a modern country house, you need to be able to knit using the macrame technique.

Main materials:

  • two hoops, a small one for sitting with a diameter of 70 cm, and a large one for the back - 110 cm, which can be made from metal-plastic water pipes. To secure the connection, you can use plastic or wooden inserts that are placed inside the pipe and fastened with screws;
  • cord for weaving, can be made of polyamide with a polypropylene core, the knots from which are easily fixed, do not stretch and do not slip.
  • fasteners, wooden rods.

At the first stage, the entire circumference of the hoops is covered with even turns of the cord, then the inner space of the seat is knitted with a mesh of double cord, made in one of their macrame techniques.

The seat and back are fixed with two wooden rods, which are fixed with cuts, in the front part the seat and back frame are connected with winding and two thick cords.

Another convenient option for giving can be a hanging chair, which can be made with your own hands from dense fabric. For the base you need one hoop with a diameter of 90 cm.

For the cover, a 3-meter piece of fabric is taken, which is divided into two identical squares with a side of one and a half meters. Then circles are cut out and a double cover with an allowance is sewn. The groove for the hoop is reinforced with a padding polyester tape, then holes are cut to secure the scabs.

The following ideas are for sewing and knitting enthusiasts who want to apply their skills to furniture making.

Armchair cushion

It is better to sew the first such chair with your own hands, using ready-made patterns in the form of a pear or a ball, strictly adhering to the given dimensions, and only then you can improvise with the silhouette and dimensions. You will need a bag of Styrofoam balls, fabric and zippers for the inner and outer covers, and a sewing machine.

For strength, the seams are made double; when filling, a plastic or cardboard tube is used, which helps not to scatter the electrified foam plastic crumbs.

You can improvise with the shapes and colors of such chairs. With this technology, if you bring the work to the end, there can be no marriage. Failed specimens can become original pillows for children's games.

Bottle chair

This is the simplest know-how that does not require any special skills, just the desire to do something with your own hands.

It will take some time to collect the required amount of material. It will be necessary to collect the same two-liter plastic bottles, clean them and make blanks by cutting off the top and inserting them into each other in pairs. Then blocks of different sizes are prepared for the seat, armrests and backrest, fastened with adhesive tape.

The chair is assembled in a classic style, with rectangular blocks of various sizes for the seat, backrest and two armrests. After assembly, it is necessary to wrap the entire product with a plastic stretch film, and then decorate it with stylish pillows or sew a cover.

Frameless chair-bed made of foam rubber

In order to make such a chair with your own hands, you need to delve into the instructions, especially in the part that explains how to fix ready-made blocks.

It is worth catching the essence once, and it consists in a special method of sewing covers along the edges to each other, you can easily assemble soft folding structures - corners, armchairs and sofas of any size. You will also need to learn the correct calculations when cutting foam rubber and cutting out covers.

DIY armchair photo

Currently, the furniture industry has literally flooded the relevant market sector with a variety of products from all kinds of materials and all existing styles, ranging from retro to techno. Many people are attracted to wood, but it is now too expensive for most who want to buy it.
But why not try to make it with your own hands, at least the simplest in design, not difficult to manufacture, and requiring ordinary tools? Undoubtedly, this type of furniture is a country or garden chair made of a wooden beam with a section of 8 × 8 cm or better 10 × 10 cm.
In order to make this type of furniture, it is enough to have minimal skills in working with carpentry tools and have a general idea of the properties of wood as a material for machining.
The most suitable material for the manufacture of a country chair is oak, beech, pine, walnut, birch, ash. Their wood, which has undergone high-quality drying, is quite hard, and therefore durable, is not afraid of moisture, is well processed and, importantly, has a beautiful texture. Linden and alder can be used for the manufacture of lightly loaded parts.

Marking and preparation of blanks

Having decided on the dimensions of the chair, we measure the required length on the selected beam, taking into account the processing, and mark it out using a construction tape measure, a metal triangle, a suitable pencil or marker.
Using a pendulum saw, we cut the timber into blanks, while trimming their ends. For the design of the chair we have chosen, we will need 16 square-shaped blanks of large cross-section and 2 bars with sides half that of the main blanks.
To give a neat appearance and improve the quality of the future assembly, we subject each workpiece to the milling process from all sides, including the end parts.

In the blanks that are intended to form the seat frame, in three we select grooves at the ends into the floor of the tree using a circular saw or a hand saw, and in two - into a quarter of the tree, for which we need an electric scraper and a manual chisel to fine-tune the geometry of the grooves.

Assembly of a country chair

We assemble the sidewalls of the product for glue, lubricating them with a brush, the ends and mating parts of the mating parts, and tighten them with clamps adjustable in length, preferably on a flat horizontal surface.

To mechanically strengthen the joints in their centers, we prepare blind holes for the heads of the coupling screws using an electric drill and a suitable drill. Then, with a smaller drill, we set the direction of the coupling screws, which we screw in with a screwdriver.

Next, we rigidly glue the sidewalls with the help of the upper crossbar of the back at the level of the armrests in height and flush with the rear legs and the rear crossbar of the seat frame at a certain height using pre-prepared templates from plywood. So that they do not budge, we fix them with clamps.

According to the templates, we expose the crossbars, having previously lubricated the ends and reciprocal places on the legs with glue. We check with the help of a metal triangle that the right angle is observed and, if necessary, upset the crossbars.

We tighten the structure in the direction of the crossbars with clamps adjustable in length and strengthen the crosshairs with coupling screws.

We close all holes for the screw heads with wooden plugs for glue, sawing off the excess flush with the side surfaces.

Now we install the longitudinal side elements of the seat frame with grooves in a quarter of the tree at the level of its transverse elements.
We fix a beam of a smaller section into the grooves for glue, fix it with a clamp and fasten them with two or three screws each to the transverse elements of the seat frame.

We lay three longitudinal beams on them with glue with grooves in half a tree, using templates that set the same distance between them, and temporarily fixed clamps.
Each of the three middle bars of the seat frame on both sides from the bottom is fastened with small bars with two screws screwed in flush (for this, we pre-drill sockets for the screw heads with a drill).
Since the extreme bars of this element of the garden chair were not finally fixed, we remove them, coat the grooves with glue and put them in place, fixing them with clamps until the glue dries completely. The frame of our product is fully assembled, and all its elements are securely fixed with glue and screws, forming a strong and rigid load-bearing structure.
We finally process all the edges of the frame with a grinding machine to obtain even and smooth surfaces.

We carefully wipe them with a slightly damp cloth to remove small particles and wood dust and let the wood dry completely.
The last operation is varnishing, which will protect the surface of the wood from moisture, facilitate the care of the furniture and emphasize the natural texture of the wood.

It remains only after the varnish has dried to install the pillows for the back and seat.
The chair is designed for both a child and an adult, and even for mom or dad with a daughter or son on their lap.

Final remarks

When working on a country chair, one should not forget about the presence and serviceability of shields and protective elements over cutting tools. You should also wear long-sleeved clothing with tight closures at the wrists. Gloves must be worn on hands and goggles must be worn on eyes. A respirator will not hurt to protect yourself from fine wood dust and varnish vapors that are not harmless to the human body.
For safety and greater aesthetics, it would not hurt to smooth out sharp corners, especially if there are small children in the family, and clothing will also be useful. And under the legs it is worth stuffing rubber or plastic material so that moisture does not penetrate the wood and cause it to rot.
In order for the chair to last as long as possible and not lose its operational and aesthetic qualities, it is advisable to put it under the roof during precipitation and for the winter and cover it with at least plastic wrap so that dust and other pollutants hovering in the atmosphere do not settle.

There is always a lot of work in the country or in the garden. But after all, many people acquired these things not only in order to constantly work there. In her dreams of a dacha, she was presented as a place for family vacations, meetings with friends, reading books and just listening to birds. The garden is a place for peace of mind. And an obligatory attribute of this picture is comfortable garden furniture, which with all its appearance reminds that it is time to relax and drink a cup of tea. Today we will look at step-by-step instructions for making a wooden chair-chair, such as in the photo below. It can also be used as an interesting deck chair.

How to make a wooden chair chair easily and with your own hands

It turns out that a comfortable chair-chair for relaxing can be made easily and quickly with your own hands. The product is assembled from small parts and does not require a separate assembly room, as it is assembled without noise and dust. Such a folding chair-chair with a back is made without even having special skills in working with wood.

You can build this cunning design from the boards and beams left over from the construction, dissolving them into smaller blocks. If you have the appropriate equipment, then you can prepare the bars of the desired size yourself. If not, no problem either. Bars can be bought at hardware stores or a warehouse and ordered to be cut there.

All bars for the manufacture of this thing have the same cross section. In the classic version, the section has dimensions of 45x33 mm. This is an approximate size that came to us as a prototype from the English system of measures by converting inches into millimeters. It is absolutely not necessary to cut the bars of exactly this thickness. It is enough to take bars close in size.

In order for the chair-chair to serve for a long time, it is better to make it from harder woods, such as oak or ash. But you can use other types of wood, it all depends on the taste and the availability of an assortment in local stores. And the first prototype can be made from any material that is available.

The step-by-step instructions describe in detail how to make a folding wooden chair-chair with your own hands. It turns out that this wooden product is not difficult to assemble and does not take much time, plus it can be used as a deck chair for the home, balcony and garden.

Drawing and scheme

The chair-chair consists of two parts: "Seat" and "Back". These parts are connected using nine connecting bars.

The general assembly scheme is as follows:

  • going to the seat;
  • the back is going;
  • the seat and back are connected by connecting bars.

For ease of assembly, the connecting bars are immediately attached to the seat and can be considered part of the “Seat” part.

The assembly diagram is shown in the figure.

The chair-chair consists of two parts: a seat and a back.

For work you will need:

  • wooden bars;
  • metal wire with a diameter of 4 mm;
  • drill with a drill for woodworking;
  • special scissors for cutting wire;
  • washer and nut of the diameter corresponding to the wire (8 pcs each).

Step-by-step instruction

Step 1. Preparation of bars.

First of all, it is necessary to prepare bars of the desired section and length. This is necessary so that our folding "chaise lounge" is comfortable. The length and required number of bars are given in the table:

Brand

Detail

Amount

Length

Section, mm

1. Seat
1.1. Seat 375 mm
1.2. Seat - rear legs 875
2. Back
2.1. Back - long 787 mm
2.2. Back - short 745
2.3. Back - front legs 1050 mm
3. Compound
3.1. Connecting 9 228 mm

Step 2 Drill holes.

After the bars are cut, they are sorted by length and laid out in separate piles.

To connect the bars to each other, a wire is used, on which the bars are strung in a certain order. To do this, you need to drill holes. The diameter of the hole should be 2mm larger than the thickness of the wire, so for a wire with a diameter of 4mm, you need to drill a hole of 6mm.

Holes are drilled on a wide plane of the bar, the width of which is 45 mm. The holes must be placed exactly in the center of the bar and drilled strictly perpendicular to the surface. Otherwise, the connection will be uneven and not strong.

Hole pattern

We take the bars that belong to the "Seat" and "Back" parts. The first hole is drilled at a distance of 37 mm from the edge. The second hole is drilled:

  • for bars of the "Seat" part at a distance of 300 mm between from the center of the first hole;
  • for bars of the "Back" part at a distance of 625 mm from the center of the first hole.

For transition bars:

  • the first hole is drilled at a distance of 31 mm from the edge of the bar;
  • the second hole is 166 mm from the center of the first hole.

Now you can start assembling the chair-chair.

Step3. We lay out and assemble the part "Seat".

We take the bars (a) and (c), which belong to the “Seat” part, and lay them out in a row in the following order:

  • two bars (a) 375 mm long;
  • then one bar (c) 875 mm long;
  • then again two bars (a);
  • one bar (c);
  • two bars (a).

Thus, the bars should be laid out in the following order: (a), (a), (b), (a), (a), (b), (a), (a). Only eight bars.

We lay out the bars so that the first hole, which is located at a distance of 37 mm from the edge, is on one side of all the bars. It is necessary to align the bars along the edge and stretch the wire through the hole. This will be the front of the "Seat".

Step 4. Attach transition bars to the "Seat".

We take the transition bars (f), there are nine of them, and place them between the “Seat” bars. Transition bars should begin and end the row. The layout order will look like this: (f), (a), (f), (a), (f), (b), (f), (a), (f), (a), (f) , (b), (f), (a), (f), (a), (f).

We align the bars so that the holes of adjacent bars coincide and connect them with wire.

If you correctly understand the layout scheme, then you can try to immediately lay out all the bars, align the holes and stretch the wire.

Step 5. We collect the "Back".

Now take the bars (c), (d and (e) which belong to the "Back" part. Lay out the bars in the following order: (e), (c), (d), (c), (c), (d) , (c), (e). Again, we make sure that for all the bars the first hole, which is located at a distance of 37 mm from the edge, is on the same side. Align the bars and connect them with wire, pulling it through the first hole of each bar This part will then be the top of the "Back".

Step 6 Putting the Parts Together

We take the "Back" by its upper part and carefully put the "Back" on top of the "Seat". It is necessary to impose in such a way that the top of the "Back" is located above the front of the "Seat", and, accordingly, the bottom of the "Back" is above the back of the "Seat", to which the transition bars are attached.

In fact, eight bars of the "Back" should, as it were, lie on 8 bars of the "Seat".

Now we alternately push the transitional bars of the “Seat” and place the bars of the “Back” between them. The most extreme should be transitional bars on one side and the other.

Now we lift the not yet fixed edge of the transition bars and connect them with the help of a wire to the lower part of the back.

The chair is now fully assembled. We squeeze the bars of the upper part of the “Back” together so that they fit snugly against each other.

Carefully grasping the top of the "Back" raise and open our product.

Step 7. We fix the wire.

Folding wooden chair-chair is almost ready. It remains to cut off the excess pieces of wire. The wire is cut with special scissors for cutting metal.

In order to fix the wire, it is necessary to apply a thread on its edges. To do this, the wire is cut in such a way that it protrudes beyond the limits of the bars by 7-10 mm on each side to fix the washers and nuts on them.

In case threading is problematic, you can fix the edge of the wire with a staple, which will need to be hammered well and such a connection will hold well.

Such a connection is less aesthetically pleasing, but quite reliable.

Step 8. Final.

At this stage, we will deal with finishing. If desired, with a grinder, you can process the edges of the seat, giving them a rounded shape.

Depending on the intended design, you can simply varnish or paint.

The item folds easily and does not take up much storage space.

Also, this chair-chair made of wood can be made in other design options. Ordinary light - just polish the wood. Or paint the tree in any color that suits you. The result is a stylish product that can also be used as a sun lounger.

Wooden chairs are durable, environmentally friendly, do not harm our body and the environment. Using ready-made drawings from simple wood and ordinary repair tools, you can build a garden chair with your own hands in just a few hours. Assembling the frame will seem like a game of children's constructor - just study the clear instructions.

When choosing wood for garden furniture, it is desirable to take into account the quality of the species. Obviously, after a certain period of time, the surface treatment is repeated, refreshing the coating. How often you have to take care and repair outdoor furniture depends on the intensity of its operation, the conditions of stay in the open air. A comfortable transforming garden chair can be built with your own hands without much effort. It is not necessary to be an experienced carpenter - it is enough to have at least a basic understanding of the principles of construction.

Woodworking tools

There is nothing difficult to make a convenient transformer with your own hands for a summer vacation. For the kit, you can also build a bench and a table of a simple design. Depending on the interpretation of the design of the garden chair with your own hands according to the drawings, the following list of necessary tools and materials can be slightly supplemented. To build a garden chair according to the schemes, you will need the same attributes of home repairs:

  • roulette;
  • corner with a protractor;
  • hacksaw or saw (circular or end shape);
  • electric planer (for working with unplaned boards);
  • electric drill or screwdriver (with a set of drills and bits);
  • wrench;
  • simple pencil;
  • paint brush with wide bristles.

For the product for the dacha, you will also need edged boards 100x50 (with the expectation of getting 90x45 by 6.6 m and 90x20 by 6 m at the output). When planning to use a chair made of wood with your own hands in an open summer cottage, three key rules are followed to extend the durability of the product:

  1. Choose wood with small pores (oak, hornbeam or coniferous boards).
  2. The wood is covered with glaze for external and internal work.
  3. I treat the structure with a primer with an antiseptic effect.

To make a chair you also need: 10 pcs. furniture screws with special corrosion protection (M10 100-110 mm); 40 pcs. self-tapping screws for mounting the back, seat and armrests; abrasive grinding (grit P40-60) or grinder; stain with varnish. Detail drawings are transferred to the boards for the accuracy of manufacturing prefabricated elements of the future design. For the manufacture of the second mirror part, you can use the template scheme. They also draw a detail, applying to the surface a finished piece of furniture for a summer residence with their own hands.

Designers advise not to focus on the shape of the armrests of a summer cottage - they can even be drawn by hand.

  1. Saw all the constituent parts of the element of country furniture, drill holes according to the size (drill d - 10 mm).
  2. The next step is sanding the surface.
  3. Then both sidewalls are assembled, which in shape have a mirror image of each other.
  4. Fix the details of a wooden chair with fittings. Fix the legs. They can have different shapes (straight or cross, fixed or folding) - it all depends on the chosen model and in the finished drawing. One part of the leg is screwed to the backrest support, and the second part is screwed under the front seat slats.
  5. Lay the sidewalls on a comfortable tabletop. The crossbars of the seat and back are fastened, according to the drawing, angles and dimensions are observed.

1. Cut off the boards for the handles and the crossbar 2. Next, we attach the legs
3. Fasten another crossbar between the legs using self-tapping screws 4. Fasten the second pair of support legs at an angle
5. Again we connect the second pair of legs across the crossbar 6. We connect the rear ends of the handles with another crossbar and bridge the part for sitting
7. Next, we bridge a fairly high back 8. Add support under the handles and handles to carry your throne

At the end of the assembly, the finished structure is impregnated with stain with varnish or protective paint.

Coating the wood with stain

It is advisable to treat the surface in several layers with intermediate drying for better water resistance of the wooden chair. Craftsmen decorate the back with a figured hole, drawings or an additional figured bar, a footrest. On the finished chair for giving, you can put sewn fabric pillows with your own hands for a more comfortable enjoyment of nature. A lightweight camping chair will become an indispensable attribute for fishing and recreation with children in the forest. You can choose the shape and color scheme yourself. The main thing is that the design is resistant to moisture and temperature changes, can withstand the required weight and does not fade in the sun, does not dry out after rain.
