A satin ribbon or cord is used as a decorative element, preferably in a bright or contrasting color. First you need to take a piece of fabric of a suitable size, lay it out on a flat surface and smooth it thoroughly to prevent wrinkles that will “eat” the fabric, and ultimately spoil the appearance of the future curtain. The side and bottom parts should be sewn with an overcast seam, trying not to tighten the threads too much. Next, you should hem the top edge, taking into account the width of the cornice in the room. The side seams are slightly gathered into an "accordion" with a thread. The number of stitches should not exceed 6, and the distance should not exceed 15 cm. After that, the main work can be considered completed. Now it remains only to hang the resulting curtains on the ledge in the room. As a final touch, you will need to carefully throw the satin fabric ribbon over the cornice with the curtain already placed on it and pull it tightly, forming the very decor elements - beautiful and light bows.
