Author: Ekaterina Alexandrovna Gulkova, teacher of the art department of the MU DO VDShI of the Taldom municipal district of the Moscow Region.The master class is intended for children of primary, middle and senior school age, technology teachers and teachers of additional education, parents.

Target: Development of paper design skills.Tasks: Development of paper handling skills.Development of the ability to work with scissors (for younger students).The development of fine motor skills.The development of accuracy.The development of artistic taste.

Materials:

1. Paper (paper is great for printing).2. Scissors.3. Glue.4. Pencil (if necessary).5. Threads or fishing line.6. Adhesive tape transparent (if necessary).7. Rhinestones, beads optional.

Working process:

Option 1.

1. Fold a sheet of paper in the following way, cut it off (the remaining pieces will come in handy later).

2. Fold again.

3. Cut out the shape as shown in the photo.

4. Make cuts on the sides approximately equal in width.

5. Expand the sheet.

6. Carefully direct the middle “petal” to the center and glue it.

7. Do the same with the rest of the middle "petals".

8. Make the same shape again.

9. Glue the centers of the flat sides of the molds together. Make sure that the "petals" of one form lie between the "petals" of another form.

10. From the previously remaining strips of paper, make small snowflakes in the same way, but do not glue them together. Glue small snowflakes to the center of large snowflakes.

11. Again, make 2 small snowflakes and glue them together (like a large snowflake earlier).12. If desired, glue rhinestones, beads, buttons, etc. into the centers of the snowflakes.13. Connect large and small snowflakes together with a thread (or fishing line, “rain, etc.”). I glued the thread with tape. Maybe with glue.

14. Glue a thread of the required length on the opposite “petal” of a large snowflake - the snowflake will be hung from it. In my case, snowflakes were attached to the window (with transparent tape to the frame). Also, snowflakes can be placed on the lampshade, ceiling, high doorway, walls. Fasteners can be made in the form of a loop, if there is a need to hook a snowflake on something.

Snowflakes can be made from colored paper, as well as from pre-prepared paper using the “spray” technique.

Christmas trees made of paper:

1. Fold several sheets of paper in half at once (I took 4), draw one half of the Christmas tree, cut it out.

2. Glue the sides of the Christmas tree, straighten it, attach it to a window, wall, panel, etc.

Option 2.

1. Fold a sheet of paper in the following way, cut it off.

2. Fold again.

3. Make even cuts on one side.

4. Expand the sheet.

5. Glue the edges of the central cuts.

6. Turn the product over and glue the edges of the middle cuts.

7. Turn the product over again and glue the edges of the outer cuts.

8. Make 7 more molds in this way (more are possible).9. Glue them together. All forms must be placed in the same direction. They are glued together with one lower corner and each outer cut is glued to the middle cut of the next form.

Conclusion:

Children often enjoy working with paper. And these methods of making holiday snowflakes allow even small children to make simple, but beautiful products for the home or class. Taking part in the festive decoration of the room is a very exciting process. And decorating with your products is doubly pleasant. Snowflakes are quite large and look quite impressive.

New Year's decor at school should not be too defiant and flashy. Do not forget that you are decorating an educational institution, not your own room. For festive garlands, white, green, red shades are suitable. By tradition, white paper snowflakes can be glued to cool windows or special stencils can be used to make beautiful winter drawings.

To make things easier, come up with a general concept of decorating a class, like this:

  • Christmas story;
  • Christmas decorations;
  • Gingerbread house;
  • Ded Moroz and Snegurochka;
  • New Year's calendar;
  • Symbol of the coming year.

Main stages of work:

  1. Style selection. In the pre-New Year's fuss, you really want to buy a lot of colored paper, rhinestones, sparkles, ribbons, Christmas tree decorations so that the class shines with a variety of colors. But you need to pay attention to the fact that many decor elements do not match with each other, and as a result, you get a pile of decorations that do not match in style. It is advisable to focus on a minimalist style: there should not be too much decor.
  2. Color selection. After the style is chosen, the main colors of the jewelry are selected. It is advisable to use 2-3 shades, for example, red with green and gold, blue with silver, gold with red.
  3. Class decor. When preparing for the holiday, it is important to remember that lessons will be held in the classroom, so the school board should be free, garlands and balloons should not hang on the heads of children, cabinets and racks should be left without tinsel and toys.
  4. Christmas tree decoration. If the class decided to put a New Year's beauty, it is better to allocate a place for her in the corner so that the tree does not stand in the aisles and does not cover the blackboard. It is desirable to decorate the tree in the same style as the rest of the class decoration. The students will be happy to make, and you can also put a symbol of the coming year under the tree - a figure of a cute rat (the guys can also make it with their own hands from various materials).

When to start decorating the classroom?

In November, you can already see the New Year decoration of shop windows and office space. In schools, festive decorations begin around December 15-20. It is necessary to give the students time so that they can make homemade Christmas toys and other decorative elements. You don’t need to decorate the class too early, but it’s also undesirable to delay it either: the children are waiting for the New Year holidays and vacations, so it’s better to create a fabulous atmosphere within the school walls in a couple of weeks.

What decorations to use for the meeting of 2020?

According to the Chinese calendar, the coming year will be held under the auspices of the White Metal Rat. You can use the ideas of Feng Shui, according to which any space is divided into main segments corresponding to parts of the world. To make the learning process in the classroom easy and interesting, choose the concept of New Year's decor associated with obtaining information, as well as aimed at creating friendly relations between students and mentors. A small artificial Christmas tree on the teacher's desk can become a symbolic sign that will create a pleasant environment in the classroom.

What can be Feng Shui jewelry:

  • cute rat figurines made from paper, felt, salt dough, etc.;
  • white metal decor;

Suitable colors that the hostess of the coming year will like:

  • white;
  • metal;
  • grey;
  • ashen;
  • turquoise;
  • light blue.

An artificial snow-white Christmas tree or pine tree can be decorated with shiny balls or bright toys, but it is better to use 2-3 primary colors in the design. Hang a few bright snowflakes made of cardboard and foil on a festive Christmas tree, and let the figure of a bright mouse flaunt in a conspicuous place. Girls can sew a toy from fabric or knit from shiny threads.

What to consider when designing a classroom for 2020:

  • According to Feng Shui, it is advisable to choose a live Christmas tree, but you can put a small artificial tree in white or metallic color in the class.
  • To make the next year successful for students and teachers, use shiny golden or silver balls in the decor.
  • In order for the school staff to be in good health in 2020, place a winter composition of fir twigs and balls in the central part of the office.
  • It is better to hang shiny tinsel in the southern part of the classroom so that peace, friendship and warmth always reign here.

According to Feng Shui, the decoration of the Christmas tree depends on its location in the room.

  • Ribbons with themed figures. Wide ribbons are attached to the false ceiling, on which New Year's toys, mouse figures made of felt, Santa Claus caps are tied.
  • Paper pendants. Hanging threads are attached to a plastic cross-shaped stand, decorated with shiny circles or snowflakes made using the quilling technique. Instead of threads, you can attach multi-colored paper serpentine.
  • Corrugated paper pom-poms. Light airy option for decorating a classy ceiling.

What can be done in the hallway?

Arrange a competition for the best crafts among students. Arrange voluminous copies on window sills or in the foyer, hang New Year's posters and wall newspapers on the walls in the corridor. What else can be used to decorate school corridors:

Features of the decoration of the assembly hall

For New Year's events, as a rule, an assembly hall is used. You need to think in advance about how to decorate it in an original and festive way. It is required to involve not only teachers, but also students in creative work. In the assembly hall, voluminous crafts made of balls, large snowmen made of thread, images of the Snow Maiden and Santa Claus will look good. The stage will look beautiful and fabulous if you decorate it with sparkling garlands, balloon arrangements, and airy fabric drapery that will resemble a winter blizzard.

Remember about safety

In the process of decorating school premises, you need to remember the most important thing: the decor must be absolutely safe and not harm children.

Fundamental rules:

  1. If the products need paint, choose regular gouache. Stained glass paints should be odorless, it is better to use products from a trusted manufacturer to be sure of the quality.
  2. Decor elements must be securely attached.
  3. Adults should hang decorations on the walls and ceiling, because one awkward movement can lead to injuries and bruises.
  4. There should be no glass toys in the classrooms so that children do not get hurt by fragments from broken balloons.
  5. Candles are not used in school decor to avoid fire.
  6. Electric garlands must be fully functional, and they must be placed away from heating appliances.

To prevent Christmas decorations from ruining the walls, use double-sided tape or self-adhesive hooks. In soft wallpaper, you can insert stationery carnations that will not leave marks. To prevent the new laminate from swelling from excess moisture, do not place a live Christmas tree on the floor without a stand. The water that you water the tree with can get on the laminate, which will cause lime marks and swelling of the floors.

On varnished walls, it is better to use special hooks, which are sold in hardware stores, to attach decorations. This is the most convenient and reliable option that will withstand not only the weight of the garland, but also other heavy decor.

The classroom can be beautifully decorated for the New Year, using the creativity and imagination of students, parents and teachers, as well as simple materials from which amazing holiday decor is made. You can buy ready-made decorations, but it is much more pleasant to create elements of a New Year's fairy tale with your own hands.

  • Step 5. By the same principle, make as many blanks as possible to get an elegant garland.
  • Step 6. Thread the tassels onto the rope, alternating different colors.
  • Step 7. Fasten the loops with pieces of colored paper tape.

Master class number 3: House out of the box

Make an analogue of the famous gingerbread houses from simple cardboard!

On the teacher's table or on the windowsills, you can arrange cute New Year's houses, which can be made from a simple box. Such crafts will immediately fill the class with comfort and festive mood! To create a house you will need:

  • cardboard box (it is better to take unpainted cardboard, but a box with a picture is also suitable - it will need to be turned inside out);
  • white marker (or regular pencil corrector);
  • glue (thermal gun).

Making crafts

Step-by-step instructions for making a house from a cardboard box
  • Step 1. Lay out the cardboard box.
  • Step 2. Leave the lower part of the workpiece unchanged, and in the upper part it will be necessary to cut out triangles from two rectangular parts.
  • Step 3 Cut out two rectangular pieces the same width as the box.
  • Step 4 Reassemble the box by gluing the bottom. It is not necessary to bend the elements in the upper part - they form the basis for a gable roof. Glue two rectangular pieces to the roof to cover the holes.
  • Step 5. Draw a tiled roof, doors and windows with a white marker or corrector, and then paint the house with winter patterns.

Master class number 4: Christmas tree from napkins

Creating paper pompoms from which the Christmas tree will be assembled

You can complement the New Year's installations with voluminous Christmas trees of various colors! If desired, a real fairy-tale forest can grow on the windowsill, in which there will be as many trees as there are students in the class. To make a lush Christmas tree, you will need the following materials and tools:

  • foam blank-cone;
  • scissors;
  • stapler;
  • pencil;
  • beads;
  • glue;
  • napkins in bright colors.

Making crafts

Step-by-step instructions for making a Christmas tree from napkins
  • Step 1. Place a folded napkin on the table. Place a round object with a diameter of 5-6 centimeters on it and circle its contours. Draw as many circles as will fit on the napkin. Cut out the circles, grabbing all the layers of the napkin. Be careful not to move the layers of the workpiece.
  • Step 2. Thread the circle into the stapler and sew it exactly in the center.
  • Step 3. Bend the top layer of the napkin blank. Squeeze firmly with your fingers. Raise another layer up and press as you do when creating a paper rose. Continue until all layers form a lush flower. Repeat exactly the same steps with other blanks.
  • Step 4. Take a foam cone (or glue a cardboard cone) and start decorating it with tissue flowers. You need to move from the lower tier to the upper. Plant the flowers on the surface of the cone tightly enough so that there are no bald spots.
  • Step 5. Glue colorful beads randomly to the napkins to imitate Christmas decor.

Master class number 5: Volumetric snowflake

3D snowflake - a classic paper Christmas decoration

Volumetric snowflakes are a decor that instantly transforms the entire class. Such paper decorations create an atmosphere of winter magic even if the weather outside is far from snowy. Creating decorative snowflakes will require the following materials and tools:

  • scissors;
  • paper (white or colored sheets);
  • stapler;
  • glue;
  • thread.

Making crafts

Step-by-step instructions for making a three-dimensional snowflake
  • Step 1. Cut the paper into squares with a side of 10-15 centimeters.
  • Step 2. Fold the squares diagonally, forming triangular blanks.
  • Step 3. Make 3-4 cuts from the edges to the central part of the triangle, as shown in the photo. Expand triangles.
  • Step 4. Twist the inside of the workpiece, forming a tube. Glue the edges.
  • Step 5. Fold the next cut piece, turning it in the opposite direction. Glue. Glue all the cut parts in the same way.
  • Step 6. Form six blanks. Connect them in three pieces, fastening with the lower tips.
  • Step 7. Staple both blanks with a stapler, forming a snowflake. You need to go through the stapler in the center of the workpiece and along the side edges of the rays.
  • Step 8. Attach a string to one of the beams and hang decorations in the classroom.

Master class number 6: Crafts from cones

From cones you can make any animals to decorate the class

Pine cones are a material that is ideal for all kinds of themed crafts. Just show your imagination - and you can make unusual toys for the Christmas tree out of them (for example, by covering the cones with silver or gold paint). In addition, they look great in garlands and themed installations. In this master class, we will tell you how to make cute hedgehogs, owls and elegant Christmas trees from cones. For crafts you will need:

  • Pine cones;
  • pieces of gray, white and brown felt;
  • colored cardboard;
  • pencil;
  • pieces of bright fabric;
  • small pompoms;
  • wine corks;
  • beads;
  • leg-split;
  • glue gun.

Making crafts

You can harvest cones for crafts with the whole class during walks
  • Craft "Hedgehog". Take a square of gray felt. Form a cone, cut off the protruding fabric (it is better to do this with curly scissors). Mark the place where the hedgehog will have ears and eyes. Sew on beady eyes. Cut out oval blanks for the ears (2 elements), tighten each thread at the bottom so that the ear becomes voluminous. Sew the ears to the head. Cut out two oval legs. Form a cone again by securing it with a glue mass from a gun. Place the muzzle cone on the bottom of the cone. Glue on the paws and bead nose.
  • Craft "Owl". Cut out 4 identical ovals from felt for the wings of the owl. Sew with large stitches, connecting two elements. Cut out a triangle from a bright patch, form a cap and sew it, turn the workpiece right side out. Tie a twine bow to the end of the hat. Cut off a strip of white felt and glue it to the bottom of the cap in the form of a fringe. Cut out two brown and white circles from cardboard - these will be the eyes of the owl. Glue two smaller black circles into them, and then small white “highlights”. Cut out a triangle beak from orange cardboard. Take a bump, glue a cap to it, putting the top part of the toy's wings under it. Then glue on the eyes and beak.
  • Craft "Christmas trees". Cut wine bottle corks in two. Glue a cone on each blank, seating the Christmas tree on the trunk. Decorate the Christmas tree with small multi-colored pompoms, beads or sequins.

Master class number 7: Snowman from threads

Don't forget to dress up your snowman with a scarf, hat and mittens!

As soon as the ground is covered with at least a few centimeters of fluffy snow, adults and children pour into the streets to roll up a wonderful snowman with a carrot nose, a bucket hat and an indispensable broom in their hands. Of course, a snow craft can't keep us happy at room temperature, so it's impossible to bring cute snowmen to class. However, there is a way out - you can make a snowman out of thread! He certainly will not melt, and will delight the children for a long time. For crafts you will need:

  • white threads;
  • glue (clerical or PVA);
  • air balloons;
  • petrolatum;
  • tassel;
  • bright colored fleece
  • orange cardboard;
  • chopsticks (ball holders, twigs or Chinese chopsticks);
  • plastic eyes.

Making crafts

Step-by-step instructions for making a snowman from thread
  • Step 1. Inflate two balloons - make one bigger and the second smaller.
  • Step 2. Spread the ball with a layer of Vaseline (a regular fat cream will do).
  • Step 3 Unwind the thread, coat it with glue and start wrapping the ball. To speed up the process, you can make a through hole in the tube of glue with an awl. After that, you should install it on a saucer and pull the thread through the holes with a needle - so the thread will immediately be well smeared with glue.
