How to sew an organizer out of felt. We sew from felt: organizers for sewing accessories. Do-it-yourself felt organizer bag for a needlewoman

In this master class, we will make a very original accessory made of felt - an organizer bag for various little things by a needlewoman, decorated with a needle pillow. Such a thing is always useful and can serve as a decor in the interior.

Do-it-yourself felt organizer bag for a needlewoman

For sewing this craft, you will need the following tools and materials:

Felt red, black, yellow or other colors as desired;
acrylic threads in the color of felt;
synthetic winterizer;
hot glue;
pencil;
a piece of chalk;
pins;
needle;
ruler;
scissors.

We choose yellow felt for the base and cut out a rectangle 40x12 cm in size from it. We make rounded corners from one edge. To do this, you can use some kind of round object and circle it. We drew the handle of the handbag.

It is better to draw lines with chalk, as it erases well and will be invisible or draw details if the edge with a pencil is hidden inside. The pencil in the master class is used for a good example.

Fold the felt in half and cut off the corners from the second edge. We retreat 3 cm from the fold and draw a line. We retreat 9 cm from this line and draw the second line. We indent from the top line 2 cm and draw a hole for the handle. First, we draw a parallel line 7 cm long, leaving the same distance on both sides, and then we draw an arc from one end of the line to the other, which repeats the shape of the handle.

From above we fasten 2 layers with pins and cut a hole for the handle in two layers at once.

Before assembling all the details of the bag into a single whole, we decorate its front part with a flower pillow for needles.
From black felt we cut out a circle with a diameter of 8 cm. From red felt we cut out 6 petals with a diameter of 4.5 cm. The shape of the petals should be slightly flattened, and the base should be a straight line.

We sew the edge of each part with a “needle forward” seam, selecting the threads by color. We sew the black center of the flower completely, and we sew the petals only from one end of the straight line to the other. At the end, we tighten each piece and tie knots to keep the shape.

Before gluing all the details, you need to approximately try them on to the front of the bag in order to know how to place them correctly. The black center will eventually have to cover all the edges of the petals.
We apply hot glue to the stitched edge of the petal and glue it tightly to the base. It is necessary to fix for a few seconds so that the part does not come off.

We glue all the petals in a circle. We put pieces of synthetic winterizer into each petal through free holes so that it is not visible from under the fabric.

We put a synthetic winterizer in the middle of the black felt, giving it the appropriate shape.

We apply glue to the edges, in the center and tightly glue it into the middle of the flower.

Now you need to prepare the side walls and pockets for them. We cut out two rectangles from yellow felt with dimensions of 9x6 cm, one black with dimensions of 7x6 cm and one black with dimensions of 7x8 cm.
The yellow felt is the base and the inside, and the black is the pockets and the outside.

We sew one edge of both blanks from black felt with a buttonhole seam. This will be the top edge of each pocket.

We sew one pocket to the yellow felt, folding them together exactly along the bottom edge. We make a seam in the middle. You will get holes for two oblong objects: knitting needles, pencils, hooks, tweezers, etc.

On the bottom of the second pocket, you need to sew two folds, fitting it to the size of the yellow base. We fasten the two parts with pins.

When drawing, we drew two lines, the distance between which is 9 cm. Just between these two lines we place our blank for the side walls and begin to sew the edges in a circle with yellow threads.

This is how a do-it-yourself bag made of felt for a needlewoman turns out.

Since it turns out to be very light, you should not overload it on the sides with too heavy objects. It is more intended for accessories designed for sewing and embroidery.

Felt sewing is a great way to make many useful things. And they will be very bright, unusual. Here is another felt craft idea - sewing supplies organizers. Such organizers are sewn very simply, and their functionality is limited only by the imagination of the craftswoman who will make it.

See also a small selection of photos with organizer ideas.

This organizer-book made of felt is very compact and convenient - you can put it in a woman's bag, and at home it will be extremely functional. Make this sewing organizer small to take on trips and travels, or larger to organize your little things at home.

This organizer is like a book that has pockets for storage. The easiest option is an organizer with one spread, but you can make a lot of "leaves" if there are a lot of little things.

Attention! If the organizer seems too soft for you, place stiff cardboard between the white and blue part.

Option pattern organizer in the form of a book:

Another version of the same idea - you can arrange the pockets differently, for example, to fold the organizer not two, but three times.

Another variant of the organizer in the form of a book is an organizer for needles and pins in the form of a book. Sewing it is even easier - cut out the required number of "leaves" from thin felt or dense fabric and sew it like a notebook. Well, the decor and clasp - at will.

The organizer for needles and pins in the photo below is sewn in the same way - the classic book is still very convenient for storing needles.

And here is a very nice and very easy to sew organizer that can be hung on the wall. To sew it, you just need to cut out two circles of felt, sew them in the form of a pocket and sew on a string for hanging. And again, the decor is optional and depending on the imagination, but for felt products, the most successful decor is appliqués.

Materials and tools:

Step by step instructions with photo

Are the materials ready? Then let's quickly start sewing a children's felt organizer!

Step 1: adjust the length

Depending on the size of the notebook, adjust the length and width of your felt. We reduced the length to 22 cm, and left the original width - 30 cm.

Step 2: make a crease

Fold the felt in half and press down on the crease that defines the center line.

Step 3: Mark the Lines for the Ribbon

Stepping back a centimeter from the left edge in the middle, mark a small dash for the tape with a marker.

Repeat this step on the right side of the felt.

Step 4: Draw a Line for the Notepad

On the right side, step back 2.5 cm from the top and draw a line to place the notebook.

Step 5: Mark Pencil Lines

Find the center vertical line on the left side of the felt. Go down 2.5 cm. Add two marks 1 cm long, which are placed at a distance of 1 cm from the center line. Step back 1 cm down and again make two marks. Thus, retreating 1 cm, make 14 marks or 7 marks on each side of the central vertical line.

Step 6: make cuts

Place the felt on a centimeter substrate. Using a craft knife, make cuts along all vertical marks. At the end, cut a horizontal line to place the notepad.

Step 7: Insert the Tape

Starting on the left side, insert the crepe tape into the notch, then pull it through the left notch at the center line, the right notch and finish with an edge on the right side.

Step 8: Insert Pencils

Place the pencils in the small slits on the left side of the felt.

Step 9: Decorate the notebook

Before gluing the notebook, decorate it with scrapbook design paper. To do this, place the notebook face down on the paper from the wrong side and circle it around the edges.

For those needlewomen who, even during their holidays, do not leave their work, today we offer a translation of a master class on making a felt organizer, proposed by the author of The Clay Family blog!

The materials you will need to make this homemade organizer are: felt, gingham with a cute pattern, and Velcro for fastening.

First of all, you need to fold the felt and chintz fabric face down and cut out a rectangle 18 (length) by 11 (width) centimeters.

Sew two long sides of the rectangle and one short side and turn the resulting “pillowcase” right side out. Steam the seams well with an iron.

Now let's get started on making a zipper strap that will keep your organizer rolled up so your tools don't fall out! Cut out another rectangle from the cotton fabric, 10 centimeters long and 3 wide approximately.

Fold it in half and sew on both sides, as was done for the main part. Turn out and iron. The strap should look like in the photo!

Insert the raw end of the strap into your pillowcase, tuck the end in and sew.

So, the homemade travel organizer is starting to take shape! You are almost there! Sew all 4 edges of the rectangle with a straight stitch.

Now let's make pockets to store needles and threads and other rubbish! Bend 4 centimeters on one side and stitch the sides.

Measure the middle and stitch again. Now you have 2 pockets!

Let's do the clasp. Take a small piece of Velcro and sew or glue (depending on the Velcro) with an iron.

Fold the organizer in three and attach Velcro on the other side!

Voila! That's all! Now it remains to decorate with figures from scraps of felt.

I hope that you will be able to make a felt organizer thanks to this master class without any problems. If you still have any questions, just leave a comment and we will help you!
