A few more nuances to consider when choosing a laminate color

Firstly, for rooms with high traffic (reception, office corridor, etc.), it is undesirable to use a light-colored laminate, since pollution is very noticeable on it. The same applies to very dark plain laminate. On a dark glossy laminate, all scratches and light damage are striking, so in a room where they will walk in shoes, such a floor covering is undesirable.

Another design rule is: wooden (or wood-imitating) floors should be combined in color with wooden and wicker furniture. Their color should be almost the same, but the laminate can be a couple of tones lighter or, conversely, darker. If the furniture is metal, glass or plastic, the color of the floor does not matter much. For the kitchen, this is also not particularly relevant, especially since you can buy a laminate for tiles in the kitchen.

Of course it is possible, combine laminate and furniture in completely different colors , but it's pretty tricky. If you violate the laws of compatibility, the room can turn out to be flashy, heterogeneous and even tasteless. However, popular wisdom says: "Rules are made to be broken." So do not be afraid of color experiments. Laminate is good in itself, and in order to spoil the room with the wrong color of this flooring, you need to try very hard.
