However, all electrical work (installation of the socket, connection to the mains supply, grounding, etc.) must be carried out by a specialist in accordance with safety regulations.
Installation of the device in a well involves placing the pump in a casing pipe with a minimum internal diameter of 500 mm.
To immerse the pump in, a steel cable should be used, pulled through the two lugs in the top cover of the pump.
The presence of a built-in capacitor allows the use of a conventional three-core cable (instead of a four-core one), which greatly simplifies installation.
It is forbidden to install the pump on the bottom of the well in order to avoid stopping the pump. The distance to the bottom of the well must be at least 1 meter!
Note
· The pump must be protected from direct sunlight and not placed near heating appliances.
· Before a long period of inactivity, the pump must be rinsed in clean water, the remaining water must be drained off, after which the device must be dried.
· The ambient temperature in the room where the pump is installed must not drop to minus values.
SUBMERSIBLE PUMPS "WATERJET"
it is a submersible centrifugal multistage electric pump with “floating” impellers, a “washed” electric motor and a built-in capacitor.
Pumps "VODOME T" are modified for use in the so-called "sandy" wells. They are capable of pumping water containing several kilograms of sand in suspension (per cubic meter of water) without tangible damage to themselves.
In the production of pumps of this series, a number of the latest technologies are used:
· "floating" impellers, which are able to pass large particles, and therefore, are able to work even in very sandy wells;
· due to self-setting of "zero" gaps, they have a greater hydraulic efficiency, which increases the pressure characteristic of each impeller, and therefore reduces their number, i.e., the axial dimensions of the pump, the mass of rotating parts, and therefore vibration;
· due to the absence of vibration, they save the well and carefully work with the entire water supply system;
· the pump electric motor is reliably protected from overheating by the flow of water washing it, which passes through the annular gap between the stator shell and the pump casing;
· the location of the electric motor above the pump part allows you to remove the power cable from the top cover of the pump, which reduces the overall dimensions and allows you to mount the pump in a well with a casing pipe of a smaller diameter, and therefore cheaper;
· the location of the seal at the top of the hydraulic part of the pump protects it from sand ingress, therefore, significantly increases the service life;
· the layout of the pump allows it to be used in a partially submerged position, for example, in open shallow reservoirs;
· built-in capacitor allows you to use a conventional three-wire cable instead of a four-wire cable, which simplifies installation;
· All parts of the pump in contact with the pumped water are made of materials approved for contact with food;

Selecting a model of a submersible borehole pump Vodomet
Two numbers in its designation will help you choose the right pump model. The first number indicates the maximum flow rate in liters of water per minute at the outlet of the pump in the absence of resistance to water flow. The second number shows the maximum head in meters developed by the pump during dead end operation.
For example: the WATERJET 60/52 pump, with a free spout, delivers 60 liters of water per minute (3.6 cubic meters per hour), and when the supply is cut off, i.e. with closed water taps, it develops a pressure of 52 meters (5.2 atm.). In the limit mode, the pump is practically not used. It is most often operated at the so-called "working point", with a nominal (50% of maximum) flow at a nominal (50% of maximum) pressure. However, you can choose a pump according to the maximum parameters.
VODOJOT pumps with a maximum flow of 60, 115 and 150 liters of water per minute were developed on the basis of many years of analysis of average water consumption and the performance of water sources. VODOJOT pumps with a maximum flow rate of 60 liters of water per minute are designed for water supply sources (well, well, etc.) with a small and medium flow rate and with an expected moderate flow rate (2-3 cubic meters per hour or 35 - 40 l / min, t .e. 3-4 taps) with nominal water flow.
VODOJOT pumps with a maximum flow rate of 115 liters of water per minute are designed for water supply sources (well, well, etc.) with an average and increased flow rate and with an expected increased (3-4 cubic meters per hour or 50 - 65 l / min) nominal water consumption.
Submersible pumps WATERJET with a maximum flow rate of 150 liters of water per minute are designed for water supply sources (well, open reservoir, etc.) with a high flow rate and with an expected high (4-6 cubic meters per hour or 65 - 100 l / min) nominal water consumption.
The maximum pump head should be selected depending on the vertical distance, from the ground surface to the static water level in the source:
- if this distance does not exceed 5 meters, you need a pump with a pressure of 30-32 meters;
- if this distance is up to 25 meters, you need a pump with a pressure of 45-52 meters;
- if this distance is from 25 to 45 meters, you need a pump with a pressure of 60-75 meters;
- if this distance is from 45 to 60 meters, you need a pump with a head of 92-115 meters.
To determine the pressure characteristics of the pump, the dynamic and static water level, the depth of the source, the distance of the source from the house and the highest point of water intake are taken into account, and to determine the performance, the number of points that operate at the maximum simultaneously is determined. Having determined the parameters for the operating point, a pump is selected according to the schedule. But in order for the system to work in automatic mode, one pump is not enough. It is necessary to provide a whole range of additional equipment for comfortable, uninterrupted and safe operation. Firstly, for the automatic operation of the pump, a pressure switch is installed, which turns on the pump when the tap is opened, and turns off the pump when it is closed. Secondly, in order to reduce the frequency of switching on and increase the life of the pump, it is necessary to install a hydraulic accumulator with a volume of 24 liters or more. With the help of the water reserve that the tank creates, not only water hammer is eliminated, but it also becomes possible to consume water in the absence of electricity, i.e. when the pump is not working. And if this happens quite often, or the debit of the source is small, then the volume of the tank can reach up to 500 liters. And thirdly, it is necessary to control the water level in the source in order to avoid the operation of the pump without water, i.e. "dry". In this case, the float that comes with the kit will act as protection and control the upper and lower water levels. Thus, the installation of additional protection devices is no longer required. These are the three main components for creating an automatic water supply system based on a submersible borehole pump. Further, all this requires assembly, installation and launch. Because the pump comes with 10 m of cable, then the issue with connecting electricity is resolved. The pipeline and installation of the pump is usually done with a HDPE pressure pipe with a pressure of up to 10 bar. The pump is fixed in a well or well with a stainless steel cable. To prevent debris, branches, leaves, etc. from entering. it is better to close wells with canopies or covers, and for wells there are ready-made products - heads, the size of which depends on the diameter of the well. Check valve, filter, shut-off valves are already installed in place. As soon as the issue with cold water pressure is resolved, water heaters can be installed to provide hot water, washing machines and dishwashers, plumbing fixtures.
Submersible borehole pumps Water cannon are not equipped with a built-in non-return valve, therefore, in some cases, it is recommended to install a non-return valve on the pump outlet. For example, when a pump is operating in an automatic water supply system for a pressure-controlled pump, a check valve maintains pressure in the system, preventing water from flowing out. Moreover, the check valve should be installed in the pressure line near the pump, since in this case it protects the system from hydraulic shocks, preventing the formation of voids in the pipeline.
A valve installed above 7 meters from the surface of the water in the source cannot prevent the formation of voids in the pipeline, and this leads to water hammer at the moment the pump is turned on. However, installing a check valve directly at the pump outlet, with a slight depth of the pump under water, can lead to the formation of an air lock in the pump and the water will not reach the first impeller, which will lead to "dry run" pump. Therefore, with a slight (up to one meter) deepening of the pump, the check valve should be installed at a distance of 1 to 7 meters from the pump.
In the case of using the pump for filling containers or watering, when periodically removing the pump from the source, the check valve should not be installed, since the hose filled with water is not light in weight. However, care must be taken in this case, otherwise, after turning off the pump, water flows back through the pump and the hose works like a vacuum cleaner. Therefore, a hose dropped to the ground during a backflow can cause the pump to clog.
Water jet pump device
The pump consists of a pump part and a wetted electric motor, located in a single housing made of high quality stainless steel. The components are centered in the housing by means of front and rear covers, as well as an intermediate support. The pump motor is oil-filled, sealed, asynchronous with a squirrel-cage rotor on rolling bearings. A thermal protector is built into the stator winding to protect the motor from overheating. The motor seal is unloaded, as the pressure inside and outside the motor is equalized by the membrane, the maximum submersion depth of the pump under water is 30 meters. The pump motor is cooled by the pumped water, so the pump must not be allowed to run when there is no flow.
A feature of the design of the "floating" impellers of the "Vodomet" pump is their running-in. It is known that the gap between the rotating and stationary parts of the hydraulic part of the pump is the cause of internal leakage in the pump, which reduces its efficiency. Therefore, ensuring small gaps in a traditional pump is a difficult technological task. During operation, these gaps increase, which, accordingly, reduces the already low efficiency of the pumping stage of a traditional pump.
In the "VODOMET" pump, the impellers are "floating", as they have the ability to move in the axial direction, clinging, under the action of working pressure, to the rear surface of the guide vane (diffuser) of the previous stage. In this case, the contact occurs along one of the two pairs of rubbing surfaces. In the first hours of operation, the plastic shoulder of the impeller in the cover of the guide vane (diffuser) is intensively worn, while electricity consumption increases somewhat and the flow-pressure characteristic decreases. As a result of this wear, the shoulder is “lapped in”, providing a “zero” clearance. Then, unloading the first rubbing pair, the second pair of rubbing surfaces comes into contact. This is an anti-friction washer and a ceramic ring. Since the friction of these parts in water occurs without wear, and a "zero" gap has already formed in the zone of the sealing shoulder, the pump reaches the optimal operating mode. This mode is characterized by an increase in the flow-pressure characteristic and a decrease in electricity consumption.
All parts of the pump that come into contact with the pumped water are made of materials approved for contact with foodstuffs. In the rear cover of the pump with the outlet pipe, there are two lugs for fixing the cable. A water-resistant, hygienic cable of the required length exits from the rear cover of the pump, which reduces the risk of incorrect connection of the pump.
The pump with the index "BK" - with a cable length of 1 m. The pump with the index "A" (automatic) is equipped with a float switch that prevents the pump from running without water. Such a pump can be used in a well or other source that has enough space to use a float switch. An anti-friction sleeve is installed in the front cover of the pump, which serves as a support for the shaft of the pump part.
In the front cover of the submersible pump, there are suction windows 1.5 x 1.5 mm in size, which prevent the penetration of large particles into the pump.
A fitting is mounted in the front cover of the pump with the index “M” (main), which allows the pump to be used as a surface pump built into the water supply line.
The pump with the index "HOUSE" is equipped with a hydraulic accumulator, a control panel and the necessary shut-off valves, which allow you to assemble an automatic water supply system.
The pump with the “Ch” index (frequency converter) is equipped with an electronic automatic control system that provides a “soft start” of the pump, protection against “dry running” (from the operation of the pump without water flow) and accurate maintenance of the set pressure in the water supply system regardless of flow.
Submersible pumps "Vodomet" in comparison with vibration:
· They are distinguished by a high efficiency value (the reason is the lack of a “start-stop” mode, due to which the rotational movement has become more economical in comparison with reciprocating);
· Have a lower noise level during operation;
· Differ in durability (the valve-piston system, which wears out quickly, is absent);
· They are distinguished by low vibration, and therefore do not destroy wells and the water supply system as a whole.
Borehole pumps "Vodomet" in comparison with vortex:
· Much higher efficiency;
· Stability of parameters over time (wear of the working surface of vortex pumps at the same time reduces flow-pressure characteristics);
· Less noise;
· They are less afraid of pollution.
Pump "Vodomet" with "floating" impellers in comparison with traditional ones:
· Higher pressure values for each impeller due to the ability to set “zero” gap values. This feature increases hydraulic efficiency and also reduces vibration;
· The tendency to clog is much less, because the "Water Cannon" is able to pass particles with a larger value. This feature indicates the absence of frequent problems with the water supply system in private homes.
Pumps "Vodomet" with a "washed" electric motor have a number of advantages compared to devices of a traditional layout:
· Possibility to bring the electric cable out of the top cover of the unit (due to the location of the engine above the pump part), which makes it possible to install it in wells with casing pipes with a smaller diameter (they are much cheaper), that is, there is an opportunity to save money;
· Increased service life due to the location of the seal directly on the top of the unit, which prevents sand from entering it;
· The equipment of the hydraulic pump makes it possible to use it in a partially submerged state, for example, in an open shallow reservoir;
· Ease of installation due to the possibility of using not a four-core, but a three-core cable (there is no capacitor box, there is a built-in capacitor);
· The presence of not a slotted, but a mesh filter (cell 1.5 mm by 1.5 mm), which is much more effective, since long particles do not penetrate into the pump. Each of the parts of the pumps of this series that come into contact with the pumped water are made of a material whose characteristics do not contradict sanitary requirements (contact with food products is allowed).
The main advantages and characteristics of borehole pumps "Vodomet" are the following:
· The new series is modified for "sandy" wells (series 60/92, 60/72, 60/52, 60/32). Such hydraulic pumps are capable of pumping water, in a cubic meter of which up to several kilograms of sand can be in suspension;
· Pumps with an index designation "BK" equipped with a cable 1 meter long;
· Index "BUT" means that the pump is equipped with a float-type switch (the so-called "automatic"), which excludes the operation of the pump without water. Such units can be used for pumping water from wells or other sources with sufficient space required for the use of a float switch;
· Availability of an index "HOUSE" indicates a special package, which includes a hydraulic accumulator, special shut-off valves, and a control panel. Thanks to the shut-off valves, an automatic water supply system is easily assembled;
· Pumps that received the label "M"(means - "main"), have a built-in fitting, thanks to which it becomes possible to use the pump both as a surface element and an element built into the supply water line;
· Index designation "H" indicates the equipment of an electronic system (frequency converter, hence the marking "Ch"), which has automatic control. Thanks to this equipment, a smooth start-up of the unit is ensured, and reliable protection against “dry running” is created (that is, it simply will not work without water). Finally, due to such a frequency converter, it is possible, regardless of the flow rate, to maintain a given pressure in the water supply.
