When there are a lot of things at home and all of them need to be organized, it is worth considering how and where it is better to store these things.

Here you will learn a few secrets that will help you better organize your belongings.

How to store things

1. Use a regular plate rack to store all your clutches, purses and handbags in it

2. Use an empty container, such as wet wipes, to store small bags.

Such a container, if desired, can be decorated.

For this you will need:

3. Remote controls from the TV, tape recorder, air conditioner, as well as joysticks can be stored in one place. You can not just put them in a box, but attach Velcro to each remote control, and attach it to the cabinet wall, where you glued the second part of the Velcro.

You can use regular Velcro and double-sided tape, or use self-adhesive Velcro.

How can you store clothes

10. Conveniently store jeans and handbags.

Many do not want to get rid of old jeans and even wear them sometimes. Over time, these things accumulate and you can mix up jeans.

For convenient storage of jeans, you will need hangers, regular rubber bands and paper or cardboard.

Just hang each pair on a hanger, cut out a small tag from cardboard or paper and write on it the signs of each pair or where you usually wear these jeans. After that, make holes in the tags and use an elastic band to attach them to the hangers.

To know where to find the necessary handbag (if you have a lot of them), you can resort to a little trick - make your own catalog of handbags.

Buy a plastic basket and put all your handbags in it. You can put handbags of different colors and styles in several small baskets.

But first, take a picture of each handbag, and put the printed photos in an album. So you will know in advance which handbag you want to take with you and where it is stored.

The same can be done with shoes - take a picture of each pair and stick the photo to the shoe box so you know which box contains which shoes.

Where to store a lot of things

11. Use ordinary baskets to store books in them.

12. Cutting boards and grates can be stored in the basket.

13. If loops are sewn to the play mat and a ribbon and rope are threaded through them, then it will be possible to instantly fold all the toys that are on it.

You will need:

Small plastic box (like the one from tik-tak)

Acrylic paint (optional).

A small box can store all the hairpins, but if you want to decorate your box, you can use acrylic paint for this. In this example, the lid was also painted, but for this you need to use spray paint, and such paint should only be used outdoors or in a well-ventilated area with goggles and a mask (such paint is poisonous).

Where else to store different things

15. Slippers, flip flops and flats can be neatly stored in regular magazine holders.

16. If you want to not only keep all your decorations neatly, but also want these decorations to look beautiful in the interior, you can use photo frames or picture frames.

To do this, you need to attach small carnations or hooks to the frames and pull strong threads on which decorations are hung.

Some decorations can be hung on hooks that are pre-attached to the frame itself.

How can you store a lot of things

17. Bed linen and other things can be arranged in several baskets and sign each basket to know what exactly is stored in it.

18. Using hooks, you can attach additional baskets to the shelves to hold more things and save a lot of space.

19. Various tools such as curling iron, hair dryer, comb and others can be stored in a regular magazine rack.

20. Additional shelves for shoes.

21. To save more space, you can attach a hook to the bathroom door that you can hang your laundry bag on.

I have long promised a series of posts based on a post about. In the near future, we will just start sorting out the closet, putting away summer things with a sigh on the back shelves and hanging warm cardigans, woolen dresses on hangers, taking out scarves, scarves and boots from the bowels. Therefore, it's time to start a conversation :-)

In the last post, many complained that there was little space, nothing fits, nowhere to go, nothing to wear, everything is logical :-) And here our conversation can be made very short.

*suddenly in a scary voice* THROW OUT everything that is superfluous and everything that you don’t wear, and you will have a place even in the smallest closet. And something tells me that at this place you will mentally send me to hell :-) Who will part with his dear, valuable, found in the sweat of his brow at a sale and parted from the hands of a competitor. I myself am like that, I have been walking around the closet for a month now, and most importantly, I know very clearly what should be thrown away or given away, but my hand does not rise. My treasures! :-) But we will discuss the topic of throwing away in more detail, and today we will talk about how not to get completely bogged down in a pile of clothes and shoes, and organize all this. I searched the sites and found different storage ideas. And also I will try to answer the questions that popped up in that post. I won’t help with only one thing, I won’t lend money for a new closet and a large apartment, someone would give it myself :-)

Organize space, sooo big post with lots of pictures:

1. All things on hangers and at the same time, so that each on its own, in no case in layers - this, of course, is an ideal, unattainable for many. But if there is such an opportunity, it is better to hang everything, even topics. At the same time, it is good that the hangers are equally thin, so you can save space. The only thing is jackets, jackets, it is better to choose special hangers for them, otherwise things will lose their shape. There are some knitted heavy things that are best stored on a shelf so that they do not stretch out, but they are in the minority. There are such hangers, they will save a little space in the closet, and at the same time things remain in sight.

Hangers and hooks for scarves and belts:

In order to prevent things from slipping off the hanger, you can stick this tape:

If possible, hang a hanger bar in two rows, hang skirts, trousers, jeans on the lower bar, blouses, tops, sweaters, cardigans on the upper bar. And sort it all by type of clothing, blouses to blouses, trousers to trousers. Plus, do not forget to leave room for long things and do not make a bar under them: dresses, maxi skirts, coats, raincoats will go here.

You can also sort by capsules, in one corner everything is for sports, in the other - for the office, in the third - rest, if there is a clear division of things into different categories, of course.

You can also sort by color, and I thought about this option for myself, but I realized that this would not help me much in choosing clothes in the morning. Especially since there is a tendency to reduce the number of colors in my closet, I come to the conclusion that 2-3 basic and 2-3 bright colors in the closet are enough. It is not necessary that the closet look like a rainbow. All the same, then there is nothing to wear half with.

2. Pull-out shelves are very convenient. The main thing is not to put small things there, such as underwear and socks, when the shelf is extended, they will fall back onto the shelf a level lower. I have three stacks of things on my shelf, two in front and one across the back, usually things for the next season in the back. That is, if it is summer in the yard, then there are T-shirts, tops, thin sweaters, T-shirts in front, and thicker sweaters, woolen things in the back.

3. Laundry is better to put in drawers. Socks, tights, stockings can be stored in pull-out baskets. Immediately after washing, I sort the knee-highs and socks and roll them into a ball in pairs, otherwise you won’t find it later, you can use the separators, both built-in and those in the last two pictures from Ikea.

4. When it’s really bad with the place, that is, it makes sense to completely remove things from the closet until the next autumn-winter, for example, or spring-summer. You can put things in drawers with zippers and put them under the bed.

The main thing is to understand what things you absolutely do not need. Down jackets, fur coats and other warm clothes can be safely removed for the summer, but a warm cardigan can come in handy on a cold summer evening, so it can be folded second row on a shelf.
Vacuum bags also save, they are good for putting things that are large or small, pregnant things, if you plan to return to them. You can also go out of fashion there, in 30 years a daughter or son will get it and they will be "vintage" :-)

5. Shoes can be stored in boxes, they can be in transparent ones so that you can see what is in them, you can glue photos on ordinary boxes.

It can be stored on shelves, but it doesn’t seem practical to me, and the sizes of shoes are different, and it’s not the best option for boots, and it’s not very hygienic, it’s better to put bags in such niches.

More options:

Those shoes that are worn now are laid out in a special shoe cabinet in the hallway. Often in such cabinets there is a place for one row of shoes, it is better to buy with two at once.

Shoe cabinet 2:

Other hallway options:

Boots storage:
With this method of storage, boots are likely to be deformed.

But from the "do it yourself" series. In the picture below, inserts in boots made of wood. Then these metal skins were unscrewed from them at the base and the hook was screwed in:

And here's what happened:

6. It is better to make a closet right up to the ceiling, especially if there is not a lot of space in the room, you can always put summer / winter blankets upstairs, we store some of the shoes that are rarely needed, a picnic blanket, small suitcases.

The perfect men's wardrobe :-)

7. It would be nice to have a chest of drawers in addition to the closet. Retractable shelves can be used for linen, jewelry, ties, scarves, scarves, socks and other little things that are constantly lost in the closet. By the way, it's a nice idea to line the bottom of the boxes with gift paper.

8. It is inconvenient and too lazy to usually lean to the very bottom of the closet, so there I store bed linen, towels, again boxes with shoes with a "thin layer" and some things that seem to be out of season, but can come in handy, just a case of warm cardigan in the summer. You can also store various drawers and drawers with small things there.

9. Bags can be stored both outside the cabinet and inside it. For example, you can hang something like this on the outer wall of the closet or inside. But this option is only suitable for bags that are used quite often (otherwise they will gather dust), and if the bags are fabric. Leather ones will quickly lose their shape, the handles will stretch, especially if the bag is heavy.

It is better to store bags on shelves, placing them vertically in a row, you can come up with dividers. I want to move all the bags in the hall closet when we move. Because more than once it happened that you seemed to get dressed, put on shoes and you understand that you need a different bag, and the bag is in the bedroom in the closet, there is no desire to go after it. So, I think the place for shoes and bags in the hallway, if space allows.

10. For things that have already been worn once, you can buy just such a thing.

I dream of a tailor's mannequin to hang clothes on the next day. So I will have a look at the image from the side, otherwise in the mirror one thing, and then in the photo - another. Have you noticed this?

You can collect outfits for several days in advance and hang them together, for this there are very interesting design solutions outside the closet.

Options for children:

11. It is good to use signs, pictures, sign, hang photos of outfits on the cabinet doors to organize the space.

12. There are tons of creative jewelry storage solutions:

13. If the closet is really small and there is still some space in the room, then you can use these storage options, in addition to the usual rod on wheels:

This is not the most convenient solution, but why not, if there is simply no free wall for a closet in the room.

Pictures from sites.

I came across with interesting ideas for organizing everyday life (read the comments too!). Some seemed new, I already saw something, I even use something (although, I admit, it’s hard with foreign languages, so I didn’t understand everything). As a result, based on her motives, I decided to make my own list of such ideas (like there are few repetitions).

1. Store clean linen under the mattress (or even between the mattress and the sheet under the pillow), of course, keep it in covers. You can also store winter blankets, spare curtains, towels and other textiles under the mattress.
Another option for storage is in a suitcase (while you are at home, it is still empty, and when you leave, you can leave the linen at least on the bed).
By the way, before packing for long-term storage, drop a drop of your favorite essential oil - it will protect against a musty smell.

2. Of course, there were a hundred million times, but the idea is ingenious, as they didn’t think of before, so I can’t help but repeat myself: store bedding sets in one of the pillowcases of each set.

3. Trite, but: use vacuum bags (for children's things from which they grew up, seasonal clothes that can be steamed, blankets, unused bed linen).

4. Keep underwear in the bathroom (because that's where we usually change clothes).

5. Keep sportswear and shoes in a sports bag, and not in a closet with other things.

6. In a travel bag, store a spare “soap-snout” set (toothbrush, paste, deodorant, shampoo in a small bottle, dry shampoo, comb, wet wipes, a sample of your favorite cream, individual medicines, liquid for storing lenses, etc. ), spare sunglasses, spare umbrella. In general, collect samples there, as well as disposable packages of cosmetics from hotels (always come in handy when traveling).

7. On a computer (or in printed form on the inside of the cabinet door) have lists of things: what to take for a trip out of town, for long-distance travel (separately at sea, for walking around the city, a winter trip), for hiking with a child in clinic. At the same time, take such lists with you so that you don’t forget anything when packing for the return journey.

8. In principle, it is better to sort documents into folders (by family members, by type of documents), and it is very convenient to keep these folders not on a shelf, where they always strive to fall somewhere, but in a drawer.
And it is better to keep the box with documents closer to the exit (in the hallway) - in case of force majeure, fire (mmm, of course).

9. After trips, many people keep various small souvenirs, booklets, postcards as a keepsake in addition to photographs. They can be stored on a shelf with photo albums in separate boxes (caskets) decorated in the same style (you can buy wooden blanks in needlework stores).

10. Medical history, financial obligations (terms of payments on loans, etc.), important pin codes, passwords - print out and keep with all relatives (in case of force majeure, getting to the hospital, etc.).

11. Store women's bags in the hallway.
Sew (or buy) an organizer for the bag so that all small things can be immediately transferred to the bag that is needed today.

12. To store bags, make a shelf with compartments (as an option, you can install two lattice shelves and stretch a fabric between them in a zigzag pattern).

13. Ordinary hangers-hooks to hang almost at the very floor - a very convenient solution for storing and drying shoes in a small hallway (does not roll under your feet).

14. Already flashed somewhere, but I repeat: it is very convenient to store long scarves on one hanger - and order, and in plain sight, and do not wrinkle.

15. Hang things in the closet according to the color principle. So it is more convenient to choose combinations and remember what is generally in the wardrobe.

16. Trite, but: install hanger rods in the closet on two levels - this way it fits much more, and the tops and bottoms of clothes are located separately.

17. If the width of the cabinet allows, then always use the door for storing flat things, small things (hang a rag panel with pockets, hooks, shelves with a crossbar).

18. An ironing board can be hidden behind a mirror or a picture. Similarly, you can place a lattice for hanging clothes after washing.

A similar idea with a workplace hidden behind a folding table.

19. If there is a sofa with soft handles at home, then it is convenient and functional from the point of view of cleanliness to use such a wooden armrest - it’s easy to put together one. Replaced coffee table.

20. Use plastic containers for storage everywhere and everywhere - not only in the kitchen for food, but also in the closet for storing socks, tights, underwear, belts, gloves, not to mention any small things for needlework, stationery, etc. (the contents are visible in them, and it is easy to compose and move each other).

21. Storage baskets can be made from construction (welded masonry) mesh (it is better to buy sheets, not rolls) - easy, convenient, inexpensive!

22. Instead of a basket for dirty laundry, it is better to have a chest of drawers (or a locker with drawers): it is convenient to immediately sort out laundry for washing - white separately, socks separately.

23. Along the wall above the bathroom, place another bar on spacers, hang baskets on it for storing all kinds of bath accessories. This will allow you not to drill the walls under the shelves.

24. More than once, but really convenient: use a magnetic tape glued to the inside of the locker to store invisible and other small metal things.

25. Again, there were many, many times, but a really useful device: a phone stand that hangs directly on the charger plug plugged into a power outlet. Moreover, this little thing can be bought, but for us it is much easier, more original and cheaper to make it ourselves - from plastic bottles, and if you get a little more confused, then sew, weave, put together ... (in short, there is a lot of room for imagination!)

26. Cute and easy way to clean up your makeup drawer:

27. Trite, but: in the bathroom and in the kitchen, store a separate set of cleaning products (so as not to run back and forth). Or, as an option, store all the products in one bucket, and when cleaning, carry everything with you at once, and not run after each separately.

28. Next to the washing machine or a basket (wardrobe) for dirty laundry, keep a tray for small things from your pockets (so that they do not roll around the house later).

29. Probably everyone in the hallway has a box or a tray for small things, but it is more convenient to have such a box for each family member, otherwise chaos cannot be avoided soon.
Or as an option: break one box into several sections with the help of cardboard partitions and a napkin-track made of straw.

30. Trite, but: do not forget to roll the socks in pairs into balls immediately after washing and drying.

31. Fold T-shirt bags into triangles and store in a box (+ a couple of pieces in a baby stroller, in a purse, in a car).

32. Straighten several bags into the trash bin at once (so that when you take out the trash, the next one would already be in the bucket) - this will protect the bucket from leaking, and it will speed up the removal of garbage, and the extra bags will not hang anywhere.

33. A convenient and simple solution for a changing table or a trash can under the sink in a small kitchen: make the cabinet door not in the form of a sash, but a folding one, and attach the trash can to it. Thus, you do not have to move away to open the door, and bend down to the bucket.

34. In addition to trash cans in the kitchen and toilets, keep mini trash cans (decorated, disguised) in the bathroom, in the hallway and in every room.

35. Keep the most inexpensive wet wipes in the kitchen, in the toilet, in the bathroom, in the hallway - it is convenient to wipe some current dirt (including shoes in the hallway).

36. Keep a pen and paper around the apartment in several places (in the kitchen, in the hallway, in the room, even in the bathroom): firstly, they always fall through the ground, and secondly, sometimes you need to write it down right away so as not to forget.
Can be hung in these frames.

37. Vitamins or tablets taken daily should be stored with what you always eat for breakfast (next to tea or coffee in the cupboard, next to yogurt in the refrigerator, etc., depending on storage conditions), or next to the toothbrush. brush.

38. Having bought chilled meat, immediately cut into pieces, boil in boiling water, divide into portions equal to one cooking, and freeze in different containers (of course, it is most convenient in containers!).

39. Make preparations of toppings in the freezer (grated carrots, chopped onions, tomatoes twisted in a blender, chopped greens).

40. Having bought greens, immediately rinse the entire bunch and put in the refrigerator in a glass of water.

41. Always pour loose ingredients for baking (flour, sugar, baking powder, soda, cocoa) into containers (jars), and keep the appropriate measuring cups / spoons in the same containers - always at hand, dry, do not have to wash every time.

42. Under the spices, make a narrow shelf not outside, as usual, but inside the cabinet - less dust, visually the kitchen is not cluttered.

43. If there is no space for separate shelves with spices, then you can keep them in separate baskets, boxes (separately for meat and fish, separately for baking, separately for oils, liquid seasonings), and when you cook, then just get the entire basket and put it next to the stove for a while.

44. Washed cutlery should not be stored in lattice coasters (it’s different for someone, but for me, for example, they fall out all the time, get stuck between the bars and it’s very annoying), but sew simple pockets (you can use towels) and fasten them with Velcro on boards to hang on the wall. You can always take it off and wash it (do not forget to sew the Velcro on the fabric with a non-clinging side).

45. If you store cutlery in drawers, then it is much more convenient not in the usual way in a flat box, but in a deep, upright position.

46. A convenient little thing, easy to do - a napkin holder with a weight (well, napkin holders are annoying, from which napkins are pulled vertically and drag one another along with them).

47. For washing, make a removable countertop-lid - it will give additional space when cooking.

48. Print out your favorite recipes and hang them on the inside of your kitchen cabinet door. And you can use it as a decor element - stick it on separate tiles, or hang it in a frame on the wall. And by the way, it is useful to break down your lists of recipes by the seasonality of the ingredients - both healthier and cheaper.

And finally, a few useful habits in everyday life:
1. Do not walk empty: for example, going to the kitchen, look around in the room along the way for dirty dishes, on the way to the bathroom - do you need to grab something to wash or throw in the laundry, and going to the nursery - grab the forgotten by the child in other room toys.
2. Clean up, cook in the morning: it’s more pleasant to spend the day clean, and the evening is free.
3. Keep at least a small stash in the car and at home.

Let's share realistic and useful ideas! What do you use at home? =)

P.S. I apologize for the "many letters", otherwise it did not work =)

P.P.S. It is not possible to find the original sources of photographs - most of them have already been widely disseminated on the Internet.

How to make a wardrobe storage system

Modules included in the storage system

Three modular cases have the same depth, differing from each other in width and height. In each of them you can install shelves, drawers or doors, which allows you to create any configuration. Note. For simplicity, we designate the nominal, and not the actual dimensions of the shelves, doors and drawers.

Finishing options for a homemade storage system

The choice of materials and finishes for drawers and doors is up to you. The three drawers in the cabinet (pictured below) show the three possible finishes. Top: maple frame with decorative plywood infill with semi-gloss polyurethane finish. Medium: Poplar frame with decorative plywood panel finished in semi-matt white enamel. Lower: decorative plywood panel in an oak frame stained with stain and coated with semi-gloss polyurethane. Note. For cabinets with open shelves, build backs with 6mm decorative plywood and apply the same finish as the doors and drawers.

Plan your system layout

Make several copies of the thumbnails of the system modules and one copy of the scale grid. After measuring the width and height of your pantry or wall niche, draw it on the grid (each box represents a 50x50mm square to scale). Then measure the doorway and mark it on the grid with dotted lines, keeping it in the correct position relative to the walls. Cut out images of individual modules from paper copies and place them on the grid, trying to find the best option that suits your conditions. Make sure you have easy access to all doors and drawers.

To determine the required number of parts for the manufacture of cases, doors and drawers will help "Lists of materials" and "Nesting schemes". Follow the directions at the beginning of each list to complete the appropriate cells in the table. Please note that some cases, drawers, false panels and doors contain the same parts.

GETTING STARTED

Case manufacturing

1. Focusing on the "Cutting Scheme", make the side walls A, B from panels with ready-made holes for shelf supports, and the upper / lower parts C, D and shelves E, F from panels without holes. To learn how to cut long panels neatly, read the Craftsman's Tip. After sawing off the walls, make sure that they are a pair of left and right pieces, and that the top and bottom holes for the shelf supports are located at a distance of 16 mm from the ends so that the shelves are positioned correctly. Mark the top ends of the walls with the inscriptions "right" and "left" to avoid assembly errors. File the shelves to the final width, keeping the glued edge.

2. Carefully measure the thickness of the plywood for the back walls G, H, I and cut the tongues 10 mm deep with a 6 mm offset from the back edge of the side walls, top and bottom panels (Fig. 1). How to quickly and accurately mark the centers of holes on the side walls for confirming screws is described in the “Advice of the Master” on p. 37.

3. From 6 mm decorative plywood, cut the back walls G, H, I. Apply to them the same finish as selected for the doors and drawer lintels and drawer panels.

4.11 Before you start assembling the hulls, set aside and mark the parts for each of them, checking them against the “Necking Scheme” and the list compiled earlier. In the empty cells, the airframes for the hulls of each size should be marked. Take the parts to assemble one case. After applying glue to the tongues of the walls, top and bottom panels, assemble the case (photo A). Rear pads J will be sawn to size when prefabricated modules are installed.

Add Bases and Covers

1. Measure the height of the baseboard in your pantry. If it is greater than the specified height of the bases (83 mm), increase the width of the plinth boards so that the lower edge of the cabinets is above the baseboard. Check the plan again on the graticule and make sure that all the doors of the upper cabinets will be accessible and do not interfere with the edges of the wall opening. Saw the side K and front/rear L plinth boards. Assemble the base by fixing the parts with clamps and mounting brackets. Drill holes for the screws at the locations shown in fig. 1 and screw in the screws. Note. Laying two or several buildings standing side by side, make a single base. To determine the length of the front and rear plinths L, the total width of the cabinets must be reduced by 38 mm.

2. Measure the width of the base along the front side and cut out the plinth M from the same material from which the frames of the doors and drawer false panels will be made. Finish sanding the part.

3. Glue the panel blank for the cover N from the same boards that are selected for the doors and false panels. After the glue has dried, file it to the final dimensions and sand it smooth. Note. If the top of the housing will be located above eye level, it is not necessary to install cover N. To determine its length, measure the overall width of the cabinet (or multiple cabinets) and add 19mm for each end that protrudes from the side wall. Where a small body adjoins a high one, it is not necessary to add the length of the protrusion.

4. Finish the plinth M and the lid N with the same finish as the drawer doors and bezels. Attach the plinth to the base with clamps. Drill and countersink holes through the front base board and install screws (fig. 1).

Making boxes

1. From 12 mm boards (we used poplar), cut out the side walls O, P, front and rear walls Q, R, S of the indicated sizes. Then cut out the bottoms T, U from 6 mm plywood. Finally sand all the flying boxes.

2.3a, the two operations shown in fig. 2, make wall joints O, P, Q, R, S in accordance with fig. 3. Then measure the thickness of the plywood from which the bottoms T, U are cut, and make tongues 6 mm deep on the inside of the walls with a 6 mm indent from the bottom edge.

3 Glue the boxes and place them on a flat surface to dry. Check squareness by measuring and comparing the distances between opposite corners (both diagonals of the rectangles are equal). When the glue dries, apply a finishing coat. (We used a semi-gloss polyurethane varnish.)

Make false panels and doors

1. Frame parts for fall panels and doors are made in the same way and some of them have the same dimensions, so it is advisable to make them at the same time so as not to re-adjust settings. Cut out the V, W, X posts and the Y, Z, LA crossbars. Then saw out panels BB, CC, DD, EE from decorative plywood.

2. Measure the thickness of the plywood panels and saw out on the inner edge of the V, W, X uprights and Y, Z, AA dowels with a depth of 10 mm (Fig. 3, Za and 4).

3.Install a slotted disk into the sawing machine and form spikes at the ends of the crossbars Y, Z, AA (Fig. 3a) included in the tongues of the V, W, X racks (Fig. 3 and 4).

4.Finally sand the panels BB, CC, DD, EE, then assemble the doors and paneled false panels. Saw solid FF false panels from the boards.

5.Drill 5 mm holes for the pull handles in the false panels and the push handles in the doors (fig. 3 and 4). To correctly mark the centers of the recesses for the cups of the four-hinged hinges, make the template shown in fig. 5. Mark the centers in accordance with fig. 4 (photo B). Attach a 35mm Forstner drill to the drill chuck and drill 11mm holes.

6.Finally sand the doors, solid and paneled false panels. Apply a finishing coat.

Installation of doors and drawers of the storage system

1. Fasten the body parts of the retractable rails on the side walls of the modules (Fig. 6). How to cope with this task quickly and accurately is described in "Advice of the master". Then reinstall the drawer parts of the guides (photo C).

2. To mount the false panels, slide the drawers into the cabinet. Then glue spacers GG with double-sided tape to the back side of the panels BB, CC (Fig. 3) and attach the false panels to the front walls of the drawers (photo I) and E). Pull the drawers out of the body and fix the false panels with clamps. Take out the drawers and mark their position in the case by making an inscription on the back wall. Drill from the inside and countersink holes through the front walls Q, R, S into the posts V or solid blind panels FF (fig. 3) and screw in the screws. Install the pull handles with 32mm screws.

3. Insert the hinge cups into the 35mm recesses in the doors and make sure that the edge of the cup flange is parallel to the edge of the door. Drill pilot holes through the flange holes and screw in the screws. Attach the mounting plates to the side wall of the housing (fig. 6). Slide the free ends of the hinges onto the mounting plates and secure them with screws. Align the doors with the body (photo F) so that the gaps are the same on all sides. Install the magnetic latches (fig. 1).

Replace doors and drawers. Insert the shelf supports into the holes and place the shelves on them. Cover the visible heads of the confirming screws with plastic caps. If your project has an N cover, put it in place, align it and secure it with clamps. Drill from below through top panels C, D) and countersink holes for screws (fig. 1). Secure the cover with screws. Install additional rods between the new modules and the wall (standard rod height for shirts, jackets and blouses is 104 and 208 cm, and for dresses 163 cm). Now that the project is complete, you can fill in new modules, where there is a place for each thing.

Prepare your pantry for the new modular system by removing old shelves, hangers and coat rails. Fill all holes with putty, prime and paint the walls. If necessary, reinstall the shelf and outerwear rod at a height of 208 cm from the floor. Remove the doors from the cases and remove the drawers. Now follow the steps shown in the photo to install the new system.

Step 1. Position the plinth as marked on your plan. To prevent it from hitting the baseboard and other obstacles, fix it at a distance of 57 mm from the wall.

Step 2. Put the lower cases on the base and fasten them with clamps. Drill 5 mm holes by pressing on the back side of the scrap. Connect the cases with furniture screw ties.

Step 3. Push the cabinet against the wall and level it on the plinth. Drill holes through the bottom into the front of the base and screw in the screws.

Step 4 Place the next case on top, level it and secure it with clamps. Drill 5mm holes using a retaining cutter and fasten the cases with tie-wraps.

Step 5. Before installing the last cabinet, stick a strip of masking tape along its top edge on the wall and mark the position of the wall posts on it.

Step 6. To reinforce the rear wall of the upper case, saw out a 76 mm wide J-strip from 6mm plywood and adjust its length to the distance between the side walls. Secure it in place with double sided tape.

Step 7. Attach the upper case to the lower ones. Transfer the marking of the position of the wall posts to its back wall, drill holes through the wall and the lining into the posts, and then screw in the screws.

Assembling storage system components

A. After gluing the back wall into the tongues, clamp the cabinet sides, top and bottom panels together using the mounting brackets to align the pieces. Then make holes with a special step drill and screw in the confirming screws.

B. With the template stops against the corner of the door, mark the center of the hinge cup recess on the inside of the post with an awl.

C. To ensure vertical alignment, slide the drawer parts of the slide rails 3mm from the front corner of the drawer and drill holes to secure them with screws.

D. To prevent the panel of the false panel from bending when tightening the screws of the handle, stick a GG spacer with a thickness of 6 mm to its back side with double-sided tape, positioning it exactly at the place where the holes are drilled.

E. Before attaching the bezel to the drawer with double sided tape, level the gaps with 3mm spacers. Then, through the holes for the handle screws, drill holes through the spacer and the front wall of the drawer.

F. Four-hinged hinges allow you to neatly and easily align the door with screws by sliding the door in any of three directions.

ADVICE OF THE MASTER WORKER

Cutting chipboard with melamine coating

Use these techniques to cut out the body pieces from 19x403x2440mm panels.

For ease of use, lay the panels on thick bars, the ends of which rest on the sawhorses, and saw off the pieces to the specified length with a circular saw. To prevent chipped edges, install a 60-tooth carbide blade and attach a splinter guard to the sole of your saw. To do this, cut a rectangular piece out of hardboard in accordance with the size of the sole. Take the sole down so that the disk does not protrude from below, and glue the hardboard to it with double-sided tape, carefully aligning the edges. Place the saw on the workpiece so that the blade is not over the material, but protrudes beyond the edge of the workpiece. Turning on the saw, gently lower the disc and make a cut in the hardboard (left photo).

For right angle cross cuts, buy a pair of fences for a large carpenter's square. Attach them to the short arm of the square (middle photo). Set the sawing depth to approximately 22 mm, position the square so that the saw blade is in line with the cut line. Fix the square on the panel with a clamp and saw off the part for the body (right photo).

How to speed up your work with neat markup

The parts of each case are fastened with a dozen screws, and it takes a lot of time to mark them on the walls of even a small case. Since the plastic plugs remain visible, I would like to place them at regular intervals. For quick marking, make a simple template device shown in the figure and mark the centers of the holes on the walls with an awl (photo).
