Performance characteristics and product range

The company's production lines annually produce 14.5 million square meters. m of tiles, over 4 million sq. m of artificial finishing granite and approximately 17 million units of a wide range of decor. Continuing the traditions of a well-known world brand, the Russian company is recognized as a trendsetter in the industry, and Kerama Marazzi ceramic tiles and porcelain stoneware are the benchmark for compliance with strict international standards in terms of operational and aesthetic qualities. All products that have descended from the conveyors of the concern to the highest degree:

  • wear-resistant and resistant to abrasion;
  • frost-resistant and does not respond to extreme high temperatures;
  • not radioactive;
  • practically does not react to the action of aggressive chemicals.
  • The dense homogeneous, almost pore-free structure of Kerama Marazzi porcelain stoneware provides a low water absorption rate of less than 0.5%, which makes it possible to use the material not only in the interior, but also for the exterior of buildings.

Own production facilities, highly qualified personnel, latest generation Italian equipment and innovative technologies allow the company to produce building ceramics in a full range of formats from 100x100 mm tiles to 600x600 mm artificial granite blocks.

Porcelain stoneware collections from the Kerama Marazzi brand are distinguished by a variety of designs, a wide selection of textures, textures and surface finishes for products:

  • matte;
  • polished;
  • glazed;
  • satin;
  • rectified.

How to navigate the brand's product collections

Since its foundation, the Russian factories of the concern have been producing ceramic tiles, and porcelain stoneware under the Kerama Marazzi brand appeared in 2007. Each collection of the company's products has its own "geographical" name, which allows the buyer not only to quickly choose the style he needs, but also to choose tiles and artificial granite in the same style within the same collection.

Italian collection

It came out in 2007, marked the launch of a new building ceramics factory near Moscow and became a kind of hallmark of Kerama Marazzi on the Russian market. Its arsenal includes several series of technical and decorative granite ceramics in 300x300 mm, 300x600 mm and 420x420 mm formats. Designers gave a number of series of the collection the names of the Italian rivers Tiber, Rubicon, Arno and their surface imitates the texture of natural stone, rock crystal, water, repeating the natural veins of material touched by time.

Fiammatura glaze is used to finish the surface of Rubicon series granite tiles, the thinnest layer of which fills the pores and recesses of the material, enhancing the effect of “reading” the centuries-old history of the noble stone. Another representative of the collection is the series of Forum tiles in the 420x420 mm format, the smooth surface of which seems to be textured thanks to the use of innovative technology for printing a picture first with white pigment and then with color. The Forum series is complemented by mosaic decor. The Colosseum product series, presented in pastel shades of beige, gray-blue and pale pink, reproduces the texture of marble, granite and other types of stone, and the artificial granite of the Openwork line imitates the beauty of ancient handmade textiles. Available in matte and glossy versions. Fantasies on the theme of modern Italy are embodied in the lines of Comfort tiles in the 300x600 mm format, imitating the texture of wood, in polished products with mother-of-pearl floral prints of the Serenade and Adagio lines, as well as in the unpolished monocolor of the Arena series.

Alpine collection

Came out in 2008. It is not numerous, but the products included in it have supplemented the company's product palette with new textures of natural materials from Central Europe, reproducing the pristine beauty of the mountain slopes and vegetation at the foot of the Alps.

Nevertheless, the number of styles and interiors from Alpine collection porcelain stoneware can be created very much. This is a reproduction of the interior of an old Swiss knight's castle, and a cafe in a modern style, which is so often found in numerous ski resorts in Switzerland and Austria, and a cozy hut of an Alpine cheese maker, and a solemn call of the famous Swiss banks. In a word, there is scope for design imagination.

British collection

In the next "geographical" collection of 2009, the company's designers reflected the original culture, subtle national flavor of England, naming the series after the cities of Edinburgh and Dublin. The 600x600 mm tile of the Edinburgh series is designed in a calm gray-beige range, and its glazed texture imitates the soft shimmering sheen of natural travertine. The Dublin material series is available in beige-mahogany and metallic palettes, imitating the surfaces of a slightly gleaming board and metal.

The next two lines of granite ceramics from the British Collection, Cambridge and Oxford, are produced in 420x420 mm format and reproduce the texture of natural stone. In decorating the products of these series, the Drypress method of deep drawing or dry pressing is used. A special glaze is applied in a thick layer to the material before pressing and firing, which provides it with additional strength and high color fastness.

Japanese collection

Released in 2010, the collection is addressed to admirers of the ancient and mysterious culture of the Land of the Rising Sun. The products included in it are presented in popular size formats and imitate the restrained and laconic beauty of stone, wood, vegetation of this country. The texture of most of the "Japanese" series is made using the random technique. Various dimensions of the plates allow you to create spectacular compositions both in small home interiors and in grandiose architectural structures.

The lines of the Japanese collection have significantly expanded the range of textures of Kerama Marazzi products. The surface of the tiles of the Okinawa line, for example, imitates a tortoise shell, and the chandelier coating enhances the effect. A high degree of imitation of relief surfaces and vegetation of the underwater world, wood, natural raw stone is achieved through the use of lapping, silk-screen printing, waterjet cutting and material processing with soluble mineral salts. All series of artificial granite from the Japanese collection are complemented by a wide selection of decorative and mosaic products.

French style, Scandinavian and Roman collections

The series of collections of Kerama Marazzi products released in 2011, 2012, 2013, respectively, expand the possibilities of designers in creating interiors of various styles from the refined conciseness of harsh Scandinavia to the luxury of the life of the patricians of Ancient Rome and the French monarchs of the 18th century.

Thanks to the full production cycle and developed own distribution network, the Russian concern KERAMA MARAZZI maintains affordable prices for domestic consumers of all categories for products of high European quality, which can be bought at retail and wholesale in any required quantity.

Ceramic floor tiles and porcelain stoneware have calibers.

To facilitate the laying process (including different article numbers), we recommend using products of the same caliber. The caliber is indicated on the package.

The actual size of edged ceramic granite differs from the nominal one in a smaller direction. The catalog shows the nominal size.

Individual batches of ceramic tiles and porcelain stoneware may vary slightly in color. You should pay attention to the designation of the tone: we recommend purchasing products of the same tone.

The curvature of the front surface (difference from the ideal plane) is an inherent property of ceramic tiles. Small positive (convex) or negative (concavity) bends are not defects. Regulatory documents introduced tolerances for the curvature of the front surface, within which the manufacturer sorts products.

Ceramic tile, ceramic granite is a durable finishing material, but it must be protected from impact loads. Packages with ceramic tiles and porcelain stoneware are labeled “Fragile. Carefully".

Ceramic tiles and porcelain stoneware are packed in corrugated cardboard boxes to ensure proper storage and transportation of products. If water (for example, atmospheric precipitation) enters, the strength of the packaging material is reduced, which can lead to a violation of the integrity of the package and damage to the product. Packages with ceramic tiles and porcelain stoneware are labeled “Protect from moisture”.

Caring for ceramic tiles with matt glaze.

For ceramic tiles with a matt glaze, we recommend using a grout that is the same color as the tiles. When using a grout with a contrasting color, test on a small area first to make sure the surface is easy to clean. If staining occurs, treat the surface of the tile with a protective agent (KIILTO COAT (Finland), ATLAS DELFIN (Poland)), which prevents the penetration of coloring pigments into micropores that may be present on the surface of tiles with a matte glaze.

For finishing the surface tiled, it is recommended to use ATLAS SZOP (Poland). This composition removes even old dirt and cement deposits.

Read the manufacturer's instructions carefully before using any chemical products. It is recommended to test the effect of chemical products on an inconspicuous area of the ceramic coating before use.

Areas of application and laying of ceramic granite. CERAMIC GRANITE: FROM FACADES TO TERRACES

One of the first factors to consider when laying materials outdoors is the impact of the environment. Outside, the building is constantly exposed to the influence of weather conditions: frost, rain, thaw, heating at high positive temperatures. Frequent temperature changes require a material that is frost-resistant, wear-resistant, easy to clean and retains color under the influence of external factors. Therefore, it is quite natural that porcelain stoneware has become one of the most popular materials for facing facades, balconies and terraces.

Ceramic granite is one of the most durable materials, it has a high density and uniformity, which makes it superior to most varieties of natural stone.

The homogeneous surface of porcelain stoneware allows it to withstand temperature fluctuations and the effects of water, which is very important for the climatic conditions of Russia.

Porcelain stoneware has the lowest water absorption coefficient, but it is this property that requires very careful attention to the choice of adhesive compositions on which this magnificent facing material is laid. Due to the almost complete absence of pores, porcelain stoneware requires adhesives with enhanced adhesion (that is, the adhesion strength of the adhesive composition to the base must be at least 1.0 MPa). In addition, adhesives must be flexible in order to withstand temperature changes.

When facing vertical surfaces, in particular the plinth of buildings, thixotropic adhesives should be used, that is, adhesives that exclude slipping. Two-component adhesives are highly deformable, that is, they are highly resistant to temperature changes, as well as to high ambient humidity, and ensure the durability of the cladding.

In the event that the laying of porcelain stoneware is carried out at a temperature below +15 ° C, it is recommended to use compositions with a quick set of strength. Seams in such facings can be filled after 3-6 hours. When laying large-format slabs, with uneven bases or laying porcelain stoneware on the facade and plinth of a building for void-free laying with 100% adhesive filling, use the double application method or use special adhesives for void-free laying with a layer thickness of 3-15 mm.

The next step after laying the tiles is grouting. The grout should also be used elastic, designed for outdoor use and suitable for the width of the joint and the color of the cladding.

Features of laying mosaic coatings

Before you start laying such an expensive high-tech coating as a mosaic, in order to choose the right adhesive, you must take into account the operating conditions and assess the type and quality of the substrate intended for laying. The absorbency of the laid coating (mosaic) must also be taken into account. Mosaic is considered a non-absorbent material, and highly adhesive adhesives must be used for gluing it, which will prevent the mosaic from peeling off from the adhesive.

BASE

Any substrate on which the mosaic will be laid must be sound, level, clean and dry. The ambient temperature should not be lower than +5 0 С and higher than +30 0 C. In the case of work at elevated temperatures, it is necessary to moisten the surface of the base before applying the adhesive.

Wooden, metal, rubber surfaces are very complex, deformable substrates, and for high-quality laying on such substrates, it is recommended to use elastic adhesives.

Adhesives with increased adhesion are required for cladding old ceramic coatings. The adhesive should not be applied immediately to an area exceeding one square meter (9 mosaic matrices) in order to prevent the formation of a surface film that prevents good adhesion of the mosaic tiles to the adhesive.

WATERPROOFING

In the case of pool lining, a two-component waterproofing composition is applied to the prepared base for 100% waterproofing (both positive and negative pressure).

Waterproofing is carried out by applying a thin layer of composition (1 mm) with a stainless steel spatula, into which a reinforcing fiberglass mesh with a cell of 4 x 4.5 mm is sunk. Second layer composition(1 mm) completely cover the mesh. In total, the waterproofing layer is about 2 mm. To the surfacecompositionit is possible to lay the adhesive mixture for gluing the mosaic.

In the case when the surface of the floor or wall exceeds 60 m2 , it is necessary to provide expansion (temperature) joints at the rate of every 20 m 2or for every 5 linear meters of corridors. In this case, the depth of the joint should be equal to the thickness of the mosaic tiles and the adhesive layer. Along the perimeter of all walls and stairs, abutment seams are provided.

Expansion joints in the mosaic are filled with silicone or polyurethane sealant (when filling the joint of the base and cladding at the same time.

Press and level each mosaic matrix with a rubber spatula. They also level out possible irregularities in the thickness of the adhesive layer and level it with a rubber spatula. The distance between the matrices must correspond to the distance between the mosaic tiles.

Under normal temperature and humidity conditions, the average time for adhesives to correct random displacements of tiles is about 40 minutes. The correction time for each specific adhesive can be read on the packaging, but it should be borne in mind that at higher temperatures this time decreases, at lower temperatures it increases.

The joints are filled with elastic colored grout mixed with water. Before the grout hardens, the mosaic tile must be cleaned with a damp sponge. Otherwise, surface cleaning will be difficult. If cement contamination still remains on the surface (in the case of cement-containing compounds), then the mosaic tile can be cleaned with a coarse cloth. It is allowed to use an acid cleaner no earlier than 24 hours after filling the joints with grout (be sure to moisten the joints before applying).

To remove epoxy grout when it is not yet fully cured, use the cleaner offered by the manufacturer of the grout.

Pools can be put into operation no earlier than 24 days after laying the mosaic.

Caring for ceramic granite has a number of features.

After laying, it is necessary to clean the surface as soon as possible: treat it with a weak acid solution, after wetting the tile joints with water. After 15 minutes, rinse the entire surface with clean water. When using cleaners containing concentrated acids, avoid getting the cleaner on the grout. Polished porcelain stoneware requires more care when laying and meticulous care. During the polishing process, micropores open on the surface. Oils or dyes entering the micropores can lead to the formation of difficult stains.

Important:

Do not allow the adhesive composition to get on the front surface, in case of contact, immediately remove it with a clean, damp cloth;

– do not use abrasive cleaners to avoid scratches;

- before entering the room, the floor of which is lined with polished ceramic granite, put a mat for cleaning shoes;

– limit the use of polished porcelain stoneware in eating areas and places where it is planned to use dyes, as well as oils and other liquids (due to the increased risk caused by increased slip of the material);

– after laying, treat the surface with special agents to prevent the penetration of oils, fats and dyes into micropores on the front surface;

– before using any cleaning agents and chemicals, as well as grouting, it is recommended to carry out a preliminary test on an inconspicuous area of porcelain stoneware in order to avoid unexpected effects on the tiled surface.

Care of decorative products and tiles with a metallized surface.

Decorative products made using gold, platinum, metal-based dyes, as well as ceramic and porcelain tiles with a decorative metallized surface require careful care.

To remove dirt, it is recommended to use a mild soap solution, non-abrasive neutral detergents, non-abrasive household chemicals for enameled dishes. After treatment, the surface should be washed with clean water. Treat with a soft cloth or soft sponge.

Do not use abrasive cleaners or abrasive materials! Do not use products containing acids! Before using detergents and cleaners, it is recommended to first test their effect on an inconspicuous area of the ceramic coating.

Care tips for polished and lappated porcelain stoneware

Porcelain stoneware is a durable and sufficiently resistant material to any influences. However, like any other coating, it needs careful treatment and care. This is especially true for polished and lappated ceramic granite.

Lappated ceramic granite is made using the technology of surface grinding, lapping (Italian lappato - lapped, smoothed). Unlike conventional polishing, a smaller layer is removed from the surface of ceramic granite. The pattern, ornament does not change depending on the type of lapping used, which is an additional surface treatment.

There are two types of lapping:

    Type of lapping "In cresta" (Italian) - various materials are applied to the surface of the tile to give the surface a light structure, then the surface polishing of the "tops" takes place. The technology allows to achieve the effect of a semi-polished surface. After such processing, a unique pattern and a unique combined heterogeneous texture are created: polished areas mixed with a rough surface.

  1. Type of lapping "Campo pieno" (Italian) - a significant layer of special material is applied to the surface of the tile, after which processing takes place that completely imitates a smooth polished surface without any matte inclusions, etc.

Polished and lappated (2) porcelain gres requires more care when laying, thorough maintenance and timely cleaning, so it is important to follow the following rules:

Do not allow the adhesive composition to get on the front surface, in case of contact, immediately remove it with a clean, damp cloth;

Do not use abrasive cleaners to avoid scratches;

Before entering the room, the floor of which is lined with polished or lapped (2) ceramic granite, put a mat for cleaning shoes;

Limit the use of polished and lapped (2) porcelain stoneware in eating areas and places where oils are planned (because of the increased risk caused by increased slippage of the material) and various colorants.

During the production of polished and lappated ceramic granite, micropores open on its surface, into which dirt can clog over time. Spilled tea, coffee or oil, an accidentally dropped marker sometimes leave stains on the tile, which are difficult, and sometimes simply impossible to get rid of.

Ordinary household detergents cannot cope with them, hard brushes and strong compositions with abrasive inclusions can damage the surface, and acid-containing solutions can destroy tile joints or change their color.

Modern professional tools help to solve the problem, with which it is recommended to treat the surface immediately after laying and during operation.

Means for the protection of polished and lappated porcelain stoneware

To safely and effectively remove existing contaminants, determine its nature and select the appropriate cleaning agent.

The ALMIR company has carried out tests with various liquids that are often used in everyday life, and recommends products from two manufacturers - BELLINZONI (Italy) and AKEMI (Germany) to protect polished ceramic granite.

Note :

The ALMIR company (Russia, Moscow) supplies technological tools, equipment and chemicals for stone processing and the construction industry. It has been operating on the Russian market since 2002.

AKEMI Sein repellent Nano-Effect– ready-to-use impregnation, anti-stain protection with nano-effect based on high-quality organic active substances. The agent provides a polished surface with oil-repellent properties and an anti-graffiti effect, reduces the absorption of moisture and dirt in wet weather, and protects the surface from various contaminants for a long time. After complete curing, the preparation is harmless in contact with food. It is applied to protection of kitchen workplaces, window sills, table-tops, bathrooms, shower cabins, facades of buildings.

BELLINZONI Idea HP and BELLINZONIideasGOLD- a colorless impregnation that penetrates deeply into the structure of the tile and does not change its color. Protects the surface from the absorption of water, oils and various contaminants. Does not create a superficial film, interferes with emergence of a mold. Can be used for outdoor and indoor work.

You can also use household cleaners to remove stains. For example, acid cleaners with surfactants: cometgel or Sanforactive.

However, some stains can leave marks that are not removed by ordinary household products, so you can use professional detergents to solve the problem. In addition to those already mentioned above BELLINZONI Idea HP andideasGOLDand AKEMI Sein repellent Nano-Effect we also recommend:

BellinzoniMangiaMacchia- removes most types of stains (dirt, oils, coffee, etc.), does not damage the shine, allows you to remove deeply penetrated dirt.

LitokolCOLOREDSTAINREMOVER- a means for removing organic and biological contaminants, allows you to remove stains without damaging the surface and leaving no streaks.

Pro-Brite composition Alfa-19 - removes traces of colored grout.

BERT-27 - acid cleaner, designed to clean heavy dirt, remove mortar residues; ULTRA STRIPPER- concentrated detergent on an alkaline basis, designed to remove various kinds of strong contaminants: grease, soot, wax, oil stains, traces of adhesive tape.

Read the manufacturer's instructions carefully before using any cleaning products or chemicals. It is recommended to test the effect of any cleaning agents and chemicals on an inconspicuous area of the ceramic coating before use.

For polished and lapped porcelain stoneware, we recommend using a grout that is the same color as the tile. When using a grout with a contrasting color, first test on a small area and make sure that the surface is easy to clean. If staining occurs, it is necessary to treat the surface of the tile with a protective agent KIILTO COAT (Finland) or ATLAS DELFIN (Poland) before grouting the tile joints, which prevents the penetration of coloring pigments into micropores that may be present on the surface of the tile.

Important:

After laying, treat the surface with special agents to prevent the penetration of oils, fats and dyes into micropores on the front surface.
Read the instructions carefully before using any chemicals, cleaners or tile grout.

Ceramic tile is a very durable material. When properly laid, the ultimate strength of the surface is 10 to 20 times greater than reinforced concrete or cement. High stiffness parameters help tile materials not to deform or bend even against the background of high tensile loads.

The following materials are used as the main raw materials for the production of ceramic tiles:

  • clay - help to achieve high plasticity of the wet mass, which facilitates the molding of blanks;
  • raw quartz - sand forms the "skeleton" of the tile, that is, it has a structural function. In production, it is possible to control and limit the change in the dimensions of the product, which is inevitable in the process of drying and firing;
  • materials containing feldspar, carbonates - they provide the required density and structure of the product.

When buying a tile, it is useful to ask the seller to carry out a computer layout. This will allow you to work out the most successful option and save on pruning.

The technical characteristics declared by the manufacturers are considered in the tabular data:
