Gardener's sowing calendar for the year in the table. Unfavorable days for sowing seeds

In January, February and March, the most important task is to plant vegetables for seedlings on time, so that by the time the seedlings are transplanted into a greenhouse, hotbed or soil is opened, we have full-fledged, healthy plants that will give a good harvest. The lunar landing calendar helps in this. The table shows the planting dates for the main vegetable crops - peppers, eggplants, tomatoes and cucumbers, for growing in a garden greenhouse.

  • plant peppers and eggplants as early as possible to get an early harvest,
  • plant tall tomatoes first; low-growing tomatoes can be planted for seedlings at the end of March directly in a polycarbonate greenhouse.

Lunar landing calendar for 2018. When to plant vegetables

The lunar landing calendar was created by people thousands of years ago. The change in the phases of the celestial body clearly showed the passage of time. The cyclical nature of the event and the knowledge that the Moon has a (gravitational and magnetic) effect on the surface of the Earth and all living things made it possible to think about the dependence of the harvest on lunar days - this is how the vegetable planting calendar appeared, with the help of which the planting and sowing season was organized, from which, in turn, depended on the survival of people in those days. Thus, the lunar calendar for planting has gained centuries of experience and is still in demand, helping to quickly figure out when and what to plant in the garden.

Gardeners are well aware that the key to a good harvest lies not only in fertilizers, watering and proper care of plants, but also in the preparatory work that continues throughout the year. Therefore, immediately after the celebration of the new year, you can open the vegetable planting calendar for 2017 and plan your actions. Each month of such a calendar brings its own preferences and limitations in working with the earth and plants, in addition, the lunar influence of each day changes and also makes adjustments. We will consider in what months, what events are held.

Planting calendar for 2018 for gardeners and flower growers

January- in the first half of the month, it is recommended to plant greenery on the windowsill, as well as plowing the earth and fertilizing; in the middle of the month - sowing seeds in a winter greenhouse for growing vegetables; in the second half of the month - transplanting domestic bulbous plants and fertilizing;

February- except for a few days, the month is good for growing greens on the windowsill and vegetables in greenhouses; recommended cultivation of bulbous flowers in the greenhouse; planting seedlings of flowers and vegetables;

March- the first half of the month is reserved for pruning trees and bushes, spraying them; planting seeds for vegetable seedlings; cleaning areas under the lawn - planting it, mulching; the middle of the month already involves sowing dill, parsley, lettuce in open ground; from the middle to the end of the month, planting tuberous and planting vegetable seedlings is already possible;

April- opens a more active planting time: climbing plants (legumes, roses, grapes, etc.) are planted; all vegetable crops are sown in open ground; pest control and pruning of trees and bushes continues; in the middle of the month, fruit trees are planted and vaccinated; planting tuberous crops (except potatoes); sowing seeds for seedlings of flowers;

Excessive watering of seedlings can lead to such a dangerous disease as black leg, which leads to the death of plants. Therefore, watering should be regular (it is advisable to install an automatic drip irrigation system).

In order for the seedlings not to stretch and be more prepared for open ground conditions, you should monitor the illumination of the room in which they are located. Lack of light leads to fragility of the processes. To do this, put all the seedlings on the southeast side. If in your apartment, all the windows face the north side, and there is no sun, then you need to additionally illuminate the seedlings early in the morning and in the evening. Using fluorescent lamps to illuminate seedlings is extremely impractical in cramped conditions. There are powerful LEDs designed specifically for plants.

The use of LEDs makes it possible to grow seedlings not on the windowsill (you cannot plant a large number of seedlings of vegetables and flowers on the windowsill), but in a separate rack, home greenhouse. Lamps are installed on each tier of the rack, and LEDs do not consume much electricity.

How to speed up the germination of tomato seeds

In order for tomato seeds to germinate better, they need to be soaked for a day in a saturated solution of potassium permanganate. After that, they should be transferred to a cloth moistened with warm water, and also covered with a damp cloth on top. When the seeds swell, a rudiment of growth appears, you need to place them on the bottom shelf of the refrigerator for three days at night, leaving them at room temperature during the day.

Interesting varieties of tomatoes for growing in garden greenhouses

Large-fruited low-growing tomatoes suitable for growing in low and greenhouses in the country:

  • Paradise - height 1.2 m, productive: 6-8 large tomatoes ripen in each brush, weighing up to 200g,
  • Raja - undersized, early, dark red, large-fruited (up to 300 g),
  • Hermitage variety is suitable for growing in the North-West region, early, abundant variety, fruit weight 100 g,
  • Igranda and Pavlovskaya rose are early, abundant varieties that are resistant to sudden changes in weather.

Small-fruited low-growing tomatoes suitable for growing in low greenhouses:

  • Skorokhod - only 50 cm high, therefore ideal for growing in low greenhouses, plentiful and unpretentious,
  • Biotechnics offers good varieties of tomatoes for growing in modern polycarbonate greenhouses - these are Lollipop, Gem Emerald, Non-Stepson - 105, Raisin,
  • Firm "Poisk" - Yellow delicacy (non-stepchildren, with fleshy fruits), Picket.

The new gardening season will soon begin and we all want to grow a rich harvest of vegetables and fruits this summer. Seeds, fertilizers and all kinds of means for combating pests and plant diseases have already been purchased. Now it remains to find out which days in March are most favorable for sowing seedlings. For this, the Lunar sowing calendar of gardeners, gardeners and flower growers for March 2018 was created, in which all the necessary recommendations are given.

March seedlings

It's time to bring the soil prepared for seedling mixtures into heat. If we are going to steam it or heat it in the oven, we do it now. You can't delay any further. In the soil treated with high temperatures, not only pathogenic, but also beneficial microorganisms die, it becomes clean, but lifeless (like distilled water).

It depends on us which microorganisms will colonize it faster. We spill the soil with a solution of Fitosporin M or Baikal EM1, which contain beneficial soil microorganisms, let them multiply, breathe life into the soil. Vermiculite, perlite, as well as mineral fertilizers are added to ready-made (steamed) soil mixtures.

Having prepared the soil mixtures, we decide which crops we will grow in seedlings and in what quantity. It depends not so much on the number of beds in the garden, but on the area of well-lit window sills. If there are no conditions for seedlings at home, it is better to abandon its cultivation in favor of greenhouse, greenhouse seedlings.

In the end, you can sow the seeds at home in such a way that after the emergence of seedlings, send seedlings to the dacha - under a film shelter. But we cover the bed with a film in advance so that it warms up before we bring the seedlings into it.

Having decided on the assortment and quantity of vegetables that we will grow in the coming season, we go to the store for seeds. We give preference to those varieties and hybrids that were successful in previous years. We take novelties for the experiment. And we will not be limited to tomatoes, peppers, eggplants, white cabbage.

To start the vitamin season earlier, we will buy seeds of kale, lettuce, arugula, spinach, and chard. True, this greenery does not immediately take root in every family, but it is necessary to gradually accustom the household to green spinach soup, lettuce or cabbage rolls from Chinese cabbage. These crops will take up little space, they can be grown as an intermediate crop in the same tomato garden.

In April, you will not regret that you gave a little space on the windowsill to lettuce. Plants planted in the ground in cool weather grow by leaps and bounds, giving juicy leaves. When sown immediately in open ground, lettuce does not have time to show all its power and taste: hot weather destroys it.

It is worth sowing celery seedlings. And not only for the sake of earlier fragrant greens. Celery, planted next to cabbage, repels pests from it, and we may not have to spray it from aphids, whites and other lovers of succulent leaves.

Sow one or two dozen leek seeds. Beautiful, stately plants will decorate any bed. And you can use plants without waiting for autumn, especially if you sow an early variety.

There are many other "crops" in March. But we will not sow everything at once and in large quantities. We will give one seedling or cassette box to early cabbage, sowing several seeds of white cabbage, cauliflower, Beijing, kohlrabi, broccoli.

Immediately sow the seeds of pepper and eggplant in separate small pots or cassettes. Later, when the roots of plants have mastered the soil in seedlings, we will transfer them to larger cups or cassettes.

You can also sow a few seeds of early tomatoes, so that, having created favorable conditions for them (good lighting, transshipment into more spacious containers as they grow), they plant well-formed bushes in the ground, preserving the root ball.

The rest of the tomato seeds intended for growing seedlings in the room will be sown later. In the April sun, seedlings will develop faster.

In this lunar calendar, we recommend sowing and planting in fertile zodiac signs. Sometimes forced work falls on the calendar on the waning moon, this does not greatly affect the harvest of tomatoes, but the agrarian timing of sowing seeds and subsequent planting forces us to carry out part of the work during the waning moon.

In the Lunar calendar, we indicate among the dates for sowing seeds the most favorable days, which, as a rule, fall on the growing moon. Subsequent measures for picking, planting in a greenhouse or in open ground should be carried out focusing on plant growth. If the tomatoes are sown at the early dates according to the given lunar calendar, then the dates for picking and transplanting to a permanent place should also be early from those indicated on the calendar.

For growing tomatoes in a greenhouse we advise you to choose later sowing dates according to the first table of the lunar calendar. For growing tomatoes in a greenhouse, any period from this table is suitable. In this case, we recommend making two picks. The first pick is carried out in pots 6x6 cm in size, when the tomato has 2-3 leaves. The next pick is carried out in 12x12 cm pots when the tomato has 4-5 leaves. Then, when the tomato has 7-10 leaves and 1-2 inflorescences, the seedlings are transplanted into a greenhouse or greenhouse. At the same time, the soil in the greenhouse should already warm up to 10 ° C. Focusing on the growth of the plant (for agrarian terms) and favorable days according to the lunar calendar, they pick and plant tomatoes.

For growing tomatoes outdoors we advise you to carry out one pick in pots 8x8 cm or 10x10 cm when 2-3 leaves appear. When the soil warms up to a temperature of 10 ° C and after the first May frosts, you can plant tomato seedlings in open ground according to the dates from the second table of the lunar calendar. At first, at night, seedlings are protected with covering material. By the time the tomato seedlings are planted in open ground, the plants should have 8-11 leaves and 1-2 inflorescences. Choose favorable days according to the lunar calendar, focusing on the growth of the plant.

Pinching and pinching run as needed. The days when pinching and pinching are beneficial, see the tables of the lunar calendar.

Watering, loosening, fertilizing we recommend producing tomatoes according to the agrotechnics for caring for tomatoes, focusing on the appropriate dates of the general lunar calendar-table.

Harvesting. The fruits will begin to ripen in one and a half to two months after planting the seedlings in a permanent place. Tomatoes bear fruit for a month or two, depending on the average daily temperature. Many gardeners harvest green tomatoes until they are affected by powdery mildew, and leave them to ripen in a dark, dry room.

2) To prevent seedlings from stretching, it is necessary to control the illumination of the room in which the seedlings are located. Insufficient lighting can lead to brittle processes. The optimal side of the world for growing seedlings is southeast.

3) If in a house or apartment all the windows face the north side, then it is necessary to illuminate the seedlings in the morning and evening. Experienced gardeners choose special powerful LEDs for high-quality supplementary illumination of seedlings.

4) To accelerate the germination of tomato seeds, before planting, it is necessary to soak them for a day in a solution of potassium permanganate. Then it is necessary to transfer the seeds to a cloth moistened with warm water, cover with a damp cloth on top. When the seeds swell, a germ of growth will appear, you need to place them on the bottom shelf of the refrigerator for three days at night, leaving them at room temperature during the day.
