So - it is planned to build an ensemble of two buildings - a house and a parking lot with a guest area on the second floor, with a total area of ​​​​about 850-900 m2, a basement and three floors.
The soil is firm, the house is on a hill, not far from a large reservoir. The foundation has already been poured monolithic, a slab of 300 mm, with double reinforcement, the ceilings are planned to be monolithic, the roof is most likely natural tiles. A fairly large glazing area and complex architecture (bay windows, turrets, half-floors). Initially, he planned to build from aerated concrete, until he plunged more deeply into this issue. The architect (designer) insists on a homogeneous wall, without insulation, if we take aerated concrete into account, then 500 mm thick. While the project is being prepared, I decided to study the market and was surprised that this size is not produced by manufacturers such as Aeroc, H+H. The only eminent manufacturer that has the desired block in its products is Ytong, but its price is much higher than the rest of the aerated concrete 4300 instead of 3200 rubles per cubic meter. A change in the construction budget prompted me to work on other material options for building walls. I discarded the monolith due to dampness, high price, poor heat and sound insulation, plus a bad association “like in the city”, nevertheless we leave to live in the countryside in order to have breathing walls made of natural material around us. Noise isolation is lower than that of aerated concrete, but this factor is not so critical for suburban construction. There is a slight increase in cost when using German ceramics from a good manufacturer (10-15%). In aerated concrete, it is frightening that it has a disgusting bearing capacity, after a couple of years it still starts to crack, especially under beams above windows and openings. Also, the fact that it draws water extremely quickly and sprinkles after freezing, that is, it is catastrophically important to finish it as soon as possible, which ceramics does not require at all. It is also frightening that the idea of ​​fixing something heavy into aerated concrete wall is doomed to failure, while ceramics offer chemical anchors with a permissible load of up to 300 kg. The walls are internal, load-bearing, I plan to use ceramics to make from solid ordinary bricks, so that they would be powerful heat accumulators.
