TechnoNIKOL instructions for mounting the junction bar. TechnoNIKOL laying technology - a step-by-step guide to the installation of a soft roof. Special grades: unique characteristics

TechnoNIKOL is a Russian tile manufacturer that produces soft roofing materials for flat and pitched roofs under the brand of the same name.

Their quality is evidenced by the presence ISO 9001 certificate, it is issued only to trusted manufacturers.

TechnoNIKOL tiles are presented in several varieties, each of which is suitable for certain types of roofs.

The design of TechnoNIKOL roll roofing in general terms repeats the structure of other brands: the base consists of various types of fiberglass, it is covered on both sides with bituminous layers, a coating is applied to them. TechnoNIKOL products are classified by price values ( economy, standard, business, premium) and the constituent materials.

Economy:

  • Stekloizol. This roll material consists of a glass fiber base, bitumen and filler, the role of the protective layer is performed by a polymer film.
  • Bikrost. Roll material based on fiberglass or fiberglass. The surface layer is made of oxidized bitumen.

Standard:

  • linocrom. It contains a polyester fiber base, the binder is made of bitumen modified with polyolefin additives.
  • bipol. The structure of the material is similar to Linokrom with the difference that the bottom of the Bipole is additionally covered with a polymer film, and a mineral film is applied on top of it.
  • Bicroelast similar in structure to Linokrom and Bipol, but the binder layer here is made in a special way, which gives it high heat resistance.

Business:

  • Uniflex. The base is polyester coated with polymeric bitumen.
  • Ecoflex. Plastoelastomeric material suitable for both roofing and waterproofing.
  • Technoelast. Differs in existence of additional protection from artificial rubber.
  • Vestoplast. Here, atactic polypropylene is added to the bitumen, which makes the material very reliable.

Roof TechnoNIKOL

Soft tile technonikol (for example) for pitched roofs also subdivided into types, they differ in patterns (type of cutting) and the number of layers, while materials of manufacture remain the same: based on fiberglass, the coating is made of basalt granulate.

  1. Single layer: Samba, Foxrot, Rumba, Tango, Modern, Quadrille, Flamenco, Accord, Sonata.
  2. Double layer: Western, Jazz, Country, Ranch.
  3. Three-layer: Continent. Differs in incredible durability - the manufacturer claims a minimum service life of 60 years.

Installation of roll and membrane roofing

Installation of a flat roof is simplified by the fact that here no need to build a truss system- the walls of the building act as the basis for the roof. No need to pay special attention wind protection, since the windage of a flat structure is minimal.

Roof installation begins with the installation of a base made of metal or concrete. Crushed stone and expanded clay are poured on it to ensure the natural slope of the structure.

If the insulation is not strong enough, need to install an additional screed which will protect it from deformation. The last layer of the roof is the TechnoNIKOL coating, which acts as a waterproofing and finishing layer that gives the roof an aesthetic appearance.

To prevent liquid from accumulating on the roof, building a drainage system. In small buildings for individual use, external drains are installed, consisting of funnels. Funnels are installed in places of the greatest slope of the roof.

Flexible tile TechnoNIKOL: installation and installation

The device of a soft roof and the technology of laying technonicol is practically no different from other types of flexible tiles. The arrangement of a pitched roof begins with the installation of rafters. The distance between the rafters should be 60-100 centimeters. The exact value in this range is selected taking into account the dimensions of the heat-insulating material that will fit into the space between the rafters.

Let's go directly to installation instructions soft roof ():

  1. On the rafter system using a construction stapler waterproofing layer is installed. Although soft tile TechnoNIKOL itself is quite moisture resistant, a separate layer of waterproofing will not be superfluous, especially in climatic zones with frequent precipitation.
  2. Over waterproofing and rafters crate is laid. The step of the crate (the distance between the parallel bars) depends on the tiles. The wavelength can vary significantly for each type of material.
  3. At the intersections of slopes two additional boards are installed on the crate- the roof ridge will be attached to them.
  4. Fits on the entire plane of the crate moisture-resistant plywood or OSB boards. Tiles are mounted on it in the direction from the cornice row to the ridge.
  5. The sheets are attached to the lining coating on an adhesive surface, and are interconnected with nails. The tile adjacent to the ridge is installed last.

When performing work, it is necessary to ensure natural ventilation interior space of the roof. To do this, a gap is left between the layers of the cake, and a through space is provided inside the ridge.

Additional elements

After installation of tiles fittings are installed. Most of them are produced by TechnoNIKOL.

  1. The TechnoNIKOL cornice strip performs the function of protecting the crate from moisture. She is attached to the front board on the lower edges of the roof slopes.
  2. The end plate performs the function of wind protection and is installed on the side edges of the roof.

TechnoNIKOL produces and ventilation elements. The technonikol ridge aerator for soft roofing allows for air exchange in the roof even at large.

To install the aerator, you need to leave free space under the ridge and attach it to the crate two additional boards- on them this element will be installed. After installing the aerator, tile sheets are installed on top of it.

Due to the fact that TechnoNIKOL produces both the main and additional elements of the roof, it is possible to use products from only one manufacturer when installing the roof, and this is more convenient and reliable.

After the appearance of the TechnoNIKOL soft roof on the domestic construction market, it became in demand in the construction of low-rise buildings. The technical characteristics of this roofing material allow it to be used in many regions of the country with different climatic conditions.

Features of soft coating for roofs TechnoNIKOL

A confirmation of the high quality of TechnoNIKOL roofing is the ISO 9001 certificate, which guarantees the reliability of the manufacturer of this brand. For the manufacture of soft roofs, bitumen is used.

The following types of TechnoNIKOL products are on sale:

  • roll materials;
  • polymer membrane;
  • flexible tiles.

The structure of TechnoNIKOL roof coatings is characterized by a high degree of resistance to mechanical stress and weather conditions.

In the production of flexible tiles, fiberglass is used as the basis, which is impregnated on both sides with modified bitumen. Outside, the products are protected from coarse basalt chips. This topping paints sheets of a tile in various shades and colors.

On the reverse side of the product there is a bitumen-polymer coating - it is protected by a layer of film. It is removed before laying TechnoNIKOL.

The polymer membrane is produced in three versions:

  • based on plastic polyolefins;
  • using synthetic rubber;
  • with the addition of plasticizers.

The most demanded membrane is produced on the basis of PVC with plasticizers that give the roofing elasticity and resistance to the influence of negative temperatures. To increase tensile strength, the base is reinforced with polyester mesh.

How to properly lay TechnoNIKOL

There is another option on how to properly lay TechnoNIKOL with mineral granules applied to it. First, carefully melt the surface of the material, then, using a spatula, drown the dressing in a hot bituminous layer. Only then proceed to the standard method of coating deposition.

Preparing the roof for work

The built-up type of roofing is laid on reinforced concrete, or on mineral wool slabs without pouring a leveling screed, or on an asphalt concrete coating, or on a dry base of cement-bonded particle blocks or asbestos-cement sheets.

The preparatory stage involves a number of measures to eliminate the protruding elements on the roof. Vertically located pipes, ventilation ducts, parapets are first plastered with cement mortar, applying it to a height where TechnoNIKOL soft roofing materials will be taken out.

On the roof prepared for the surface to be welded, there should be no solid pieces of concrete, pits, sharp protrusions, remnants of reinforcement, traces of oil, as they will negatively affect the quality and durability of the roofing carpet.

Sharp corners must be eliminated, dust removed with an industrial vacuum cleaner or compressor unit, oily traces must be burned out. Large potholes and cracks are sealed with a cement-sand mixture, which includes cement grade M 150, and small gaps are filled with heated bitumen.

Soft roof laying technology

Lay the cover on a flat surface. The area of gradually increasing irregularities present on the surface should not exceed a size of 2 by 4 meters. Installation is carried out on a dry base, and a moisture meter is used to check the humidity level.

When there is no such device, then a piece of plastic film is laid on the surface. If after 4 hours there is no moisture on it, then you can proceed to the arrangement of the roofing.

Before installation, the base is thoroughly cleaned, after which it is primed with a bituminous primer - it is either purchased or made by hand from bitumen and gasoline in a ratio of 1: 3.

To ensure the durability of the soft coating on the roof of your own home ownership, the manufacturer's instructions will help, which describes in detail how to properly glue TechnoNIKOL and equip the built-up type of roof. It must be strictly observed and then an excellent result will be ensured.

If you are puzzled by the choice of high-quality, strong roofing material that will be “tightly” linked to the slopes, give preference to trusted brands. So, one of the best in Russia is the built-up roof TechnoNIKOL from a domestic manufacturer. It is presented on the market in several forms, for each individual roofing task.

Let's study it in more detail, how positive are the reviews, are there any shortcomings and what is the technology for working with such material. And our detailed master classes, expert advice and new video reviews will help you with this.

Built-up roofing is famous for its strength, durability, water resistance, elasticity and excellent resistance to temperature changes and mechanical deformations. Moreover, this stability is sufficient for all regions of Russia, even with a harsh climate.

Advantages of domestic built-up roofing

Surely you have already heard more than once why the built-up roof is so good, especially for low-rise construction, like a garage or a workshop. But let's emphasize the advantages of the roof from TechnoNIKOL:

  • Air and moisture resistance. Having laid such a roof on any roof, you can be completely sure that the entire interior is reliably protected, and the wind will not break anything.
  • Thermal insulation and noise suppression, which TechnoNIKOL products have, are at a high level. This moment is especially valuable for the inhabitants of the upper floors, where neither the roar of the rain nor the steps of people can be heard at all. In its own way, such material protects apartments from heat loss.
  • Life time. For example, one of the most popular products, Uniflex, has been serving for at least 20 years!

Of course, the TechnoNIKOL built-up roof is not without all the disadvantages that are generally inherent in such a roofing material, and this is the price and rather complicated installation, using fire hazardous gas equipment.

Classification of proposals from TechnoNIKOL

The manufacturer TechnoNIKOL divides its products into different classes, depending on what specific tasks and roofs they will be used for.

Let's take a closer look at them so that you do not overpay only for a loud name, and it does not turn out that you could initially choose a simpler material for a flat roof of your house.

Premium class: for large objects

As you may have guessed from the subtitle, such a roof is welded on the most significant objects of the country. The material is designed to solve a number of problems at once, the main of which is high reliability and guarantees.

Buyers of such a roof are usually provided with full technical and informational support. In a word, any plant contacted a representative of TechnoNIKOL, and the roof was made, without looking for additional contractors and without any worries about quality.

Special grades: unique characteristics

These are grades of the Technoelast series, which have been specially developed to solve specific problems, such as installation features, heat resistance and fire safety requirements.

Business class: reliability is a priority

These materials are designed to ensure that they are comfortable to work with and the quality remains at its best. Business-class roofing is considered the most popular in the modern construction world, and TechnoNIKOL also has a support service for its sales.

Standard class: rich choice

This business grade roofing material is just perfect for a non-commercial home roof and is easy to work with. It is quite reliable, affordable and at the same time pleases with a wide range.

Economy class: for low-rise construction

If you initially selected a built-up roof for a garage, then the economy class is just what you need. With the main function they cope quite decently. And for laying such a roof you do not need expensive or special equipment.

Product line for different tasks

The manufacturer TechnoNIKOL is quite creative in the production of roofing materials. Its products not only have quality, but also become an important part of the design of the building. Let's take a closer look at what exactly of all this is suitable specifically for your roof.

Technoelast: safety and durability

Let's start with the most popular - Technoelast K (note that Technoelast P is used not for roofing, but for foundations). This is a high-quality roofing waterproofing on a fiberglass or polyester base, which can withstand high mechanical loads and significant temperature fluctuations.

Pleases with a spectacular design with a coarse-grained dressing. Technoelast S is close to such properties.

Technoelast Thermo is a multifunctional material that, thanks to a special APP modifier, retains its properties even at such extreme temperatures as +1300°C!

We also note separately Technoelast Flame Stop. This roof covers buildings that have high requirements for fire safety. Here, thermoplastic elastomer is used to modify bitumen.

We list all other varieties of Technoelast:

  • Technoelast Vent for single-layer "breathing" roofs.
  • Technoelast Decor is perfect for the top layer of multi-layer roofing.
  • Technoelast Fix is produced for the arrangement of the lowest layer of the roofing carpet.
  • Technoelast Solo, in principle, is designed for the fireless method, on the roofs of buildings where this method of installation is not possible, but this roof is laid both with partial fusing and full, if necessary.
  • Technoelast Green is excellent for waterproofing buildings where there are green roofs and waterproofing contact with roots is predicted.
  • Technoelast Titanium is more suitable for industrial building structures.

Ecoflex: secure grip

This roof has the highest adhesive properties. Thanks to them, the roof is welded onto almost any non-combustible base. As a bonus, there are plastomer-elastomer additives that make such a material much more resistant to high temperatures. This roofing material is laid even at negative temperatures (-5°C).

Uniflex: breathable coating

In addition to its valuable vapor-permeable properties, Uniflex is also good because it fits on the old roof without dismantling it. Available in the following types:

  • Uniflex K pleases the eye with a coarse-grained dressing and a film on the welded side of the web.
  • Uniflex P - with fine-grained dressing on both sides at once.
  • Uniflex Vent is a special waterproofing for "breathing" roofs or their restoration without the need to remove the old carpet.

It is intended for the installation of roofing carpet of buildings and structures and waterproofing of building structures.

Bipole: universal material

These roofs are great for both new roofs and old ones. The underside of this roofing is covered with a light-melting polymer film, and the top is covered with a coarse-grained mineral dressing.

Linokrom: moisture protection

Separately, we note Linocre, which is produced on a non-rotting solid base and reliably protects against dampness. Resists any weather conditions. Its variety is LinokromREMTKP, just for restoring the top old layer of the roof.

Bikrost: high waterproofing

This roofing allows you to reduce the number of layers. It's all about the structure of this layer: the bituminous binder is applied on both sides to the base - fiberglass or bitumen with a profile filler.

Stekloizol: a combination of the best properties

For the manufacture of this material, gluing three components at once is used: fiberglass, fiberglass and polyester. Suitable for both roof repairs and new ones.

Ruberoid and Rubemast: improved qualities

Rubemast, like roofing material, also consists of cardboard impregnated with bitumen, and there is much more bitumen here, and therefore the properties are much better.

Roll marking and material composition

Immediately after the name, TechnoNIKOL rolls use an additional marking of one or three letters. They indicate the structure of the material, and it already depends on what tasks this particular type of roof is suitable for.

So let's decipher them:

  1. The basis: X- fiberglass, T- fiberglass and E- polyester.
  2. Top protective layer: P- polyethylene film, To- coarse-grained dressing and M- fine-grained dressing.
  3. Bottom protective layer: P- polyethylene film, M- fine-grained dressing, AT- ventilated coating, or ventilation ducts, E- polymeric non-woven fabric and With- self-adhesive side.

The abbreviation is also used:

  1. P- this is a built-up roof without a protective dressing. It is intended to be used as the bottom layer.
  2. To- This is a roofing material with a coarse-grained dressing, which has an ultraviolet dressing. This is used for arranging the top layer in a multi-layer roofing carpet.

Technology of fusing roll roofing

So, we have figured out what a built-up roof from TechnoNIKOL is, and we will move on to the technology of its installation on the roof of a house.

  1. Outside air temperature – not less than +5°С.
  2. There are no precipitations in any of their manifestations.
  3. There is no abnormal heat, in which the workers themselves can simply become ill.

Such a roof is laid not when it is already melting (as many believe), but when the material becomes flexible enough. But, if you have to work at low temperatures, put the material in a warm room and keep it there for at least a day. If this is not done, the roof, compressed in the cold, will then expand under the sun's rays and “waves” will appear.

One of the best for self-welding is Uniflex. The whole complexity of such laying is in the use of special equipment. If you do everything as we recommend, you will end up with a durable and impermeable coating, with a twenty-five year guarantee.

Be careful: there are a number of products from TechnoNIKOL that are allowed to be laid on a wooden base, and only the seams are welded. Open fire does not touch the base:

First of all, calculate the required amount of welded roofing. Find out the area to be laid and how many meters one roll will cover. It is not difficult to find out such information from the seller, or on the website with the product.

Prime the base with bituminous mastic to form a sticky film for better adhesion.

Please note that the lower part of the built-up roofing roll is heated with a gas burner to 150 ° C. So be sure to take care of your own safety. Therefore, work in closed clothing, in protective gloves or mittens. Be sure to moisten them with water during operation, for which put a bucket of water on the roof.

The welded roof itself will look like a layer cake: a base, then 2-3 lining layers, and after that - a top coat. In this case, the second strip of the coating must be glued with an overlap of 10 cm on the first. So you protect the seam from moisture. By the way, on the Uniflex roll, the overlap line is marked in a different color. Next, make sure that the seams of the first and second layers do not match.

First of all, the parapet walls are pasted over with a roofing carpet. For better adhesion, the sides and other vertical surfaces must be plastered. After that, the lining layer of the coating is glued. A roll is rolled over this layer and its edge is fixed. Next, melt the lower waterproofing layer and roll it with a roller. In general, the technology is as follows:

  1. The roll is rolled out and tried on in relation to those in the neighborhood.
  2. Next, the roll is rolled to the middle, the bottom layer and the base (or the previously heated layer) are heated.
  3. The heated roll is gradually rolled out and the bitumen-polymer binder flows out a little from the seam (this is an indicator of the quality of the installation).
  4. Apply the next layer in the same way. The next roll must be rolled out and aligned so as to provide an overlap on the already deposited roll.

And finally, you need to cover the edges of the roll with mastic. It is important here to get rid of any gaps in order to protect the roof as much as possible from the influence of an aggressive environment.

And now - the details of the process: the roofer must roll the roll onto himself, heating it with smooth movements with the letter "G". Additionally, they warm up the area that overlaps. If the laying of the built-up roof is carried out correctly, you will see the following deformation of the manufacturer's drawing:

A good sign is also a small, up to 10 mm, leakage of the bitumen-polymer binder from under the side edge. And if it is more than 5 mm, it should be sprinkled with sprinkles to protect it from ultraviolet rays.

All the skill of laying such a roof is to heat the material and the surface with smooth movements, avoiding both underheating and overheating. It is exactly how the pattern is deformed that indicates the correct heating of the material.

On the additional elements of the roof, the carpet is brought in and fastened with slats so that it does not slip later. Reiki should be installed along the entire length of the junction, with a gap of 5-10 mm between the edges. Only special universal self-tapping screws with a plastic sleeve are suitable for fastening rails. The first fastener is placed, retreating up to 50 mm from the edge of the rail, and the second - 100 mm from the first.

All the following self-tapping screws must be installed in increments of 200 mm. At the same time, seal the upper bend of the edge rail with polyurethane sealant from TechnoNIKOL. It is impossible to fasten such material with driven dowels-nails.

Material should be brought onto a horizontal surface no less than 20 cm from the edge of the transitional ledge. At the same time, the side edge of the material must be offset relative to the lower material by no less than 300 mm. Here, the side overlap of the panels should be 100 mm.

And now about mechanical fixation. The first fastener must be installed, while retreating no more than 50 mm from the edge of the rail, and the second - already 10 cm from the first. Tighten all the following screws 10 cm from the first.

On top of the roofing material, smear with Fixer mastic and reinforce with sickle.

At the junction with walls, ventilation shafts and parapets, it is necessary to make inclined sides with an angle of 45 ° and a height of 10 cm. The sides themselves are made of asphalt concrete, cement-sand mortar and mineral wool slabs.

You can’t walk on the new roof, although it looks solid. The fact is that under the weight of the weight, the dressing will drown in the bituminous layer and even dark traces will remain.

The base should be as level as possible. Only gradually increasing irregularities are allowed, not more than 10 mm, if across the slope, and up to 5 mm, if along. Check this moment with a two-meter rail.

So, you liked such a guided roof! We hope that we have helped to understand all the nuances and look at the advertised product with an open mind, taking into account all its pros and cons.

The TechnoNIKOL company is the largest domestic manufacturer of soft roofing. Its products are in great demand due to their high quality, corresponding to the ISO 9001 certificate. SHINGLAS bituminous tiles and TechnoNIKOL roll tiles are successfully used in the construction of low-rise buildings.

Bituminous tile SHINGLAS

The soft roof manufacturer TechnoNIKOL has made some changes regarding the division into types of its products. The result is two brands. Multi-layer soft tiles are now manufactured under the SHINGLAS brand, while single-layer shingles are still called TechnoNIKOL. In addition to renaming, TechnoNIKOL shingles have expanded their range. There were shingles with a new form of cutting, plus an increased variety of colors.

Bituminous shingles are similar in appearance to figured sheets cut from roofing material, however, their composition is completely different. As a solid basis for tiles, fiberglass treated with modified bitumen is used. The front side is sprinkled with protective stone chips. A special adhesive layer is applied on the back plane, covered with a protective film to prevent the shingles from sticking together in the package. 3 shingles are cut out on 1 sheet of shingles. The manufacturer guarantees 30 years of service for its products.

Single-layer and multi-layer bituminous tiles are designed to cover roofs of any complexity with a slope of more than 12 o. The material is used not only in the construction of the roof of a new building, but also for the reconstruction of old roofs. A variety of colors and shapes of shingles allows you to give any building elegance. The advantage of flexible shingles lies in the possibility of laying them on bulbous, domed and other unusual roof shapes.

SHINGLAS brand multi-layer shingles have 3 types of shingle cuts called "Continent", "Western" and "Dragon's Tooth".

Important! The cost of bituminous shingles does not depend on the shape of the cut and color, but on the composition of the material, the type of stone chips, the amount of bitumen used.

TechnoNIKOL single-layer bituminous tiles have 5 types of shingle cutting: “Accord”, “Sonata”, “Brix”, “Beaver tail” and “Trio”.

Not every manufacturer is able to produce such a wide range of products. Apart from the fact that the brand currently has 14 collections, consisting of 70 different colors of tiles. Especially popular among private developers is the "Finnish tile" in classic brown, red, green and gray.

Bituminous tile installation

Soft roofing is a specific material that requires compliance with certain installation rules. Laying is carried out only on a continuous crate, which is most often made of OSB or plywood. At the same time, the design of the roofing pie similarly includes thermal insulation, vapor-water insulation and a counter-lattice.

Shingles of each form have their own styling features, but the general installation rules are the same. Mounting starts on the right side of the slope, moving to the left. All rows go from bottom to top. The shingles are laid with an overlap and fixed with galvanized nails. Only the sections of the tile adjacent to the valley, ridge and drip are lubricated with mastic. In summer, under the sun, all individual shingles, thanks to the lower adhesive layer, will be combined into a single monolithic coating.

Attention! The manufacturer forbids fastening all shingles with mastic instead of nails. From the sun's rays, it will melt, and all the tiles can slide off the roof.

The video shows the installation of tiles:

Roll tiles TechnoNIKOL

The most practical and easy to install is considered to be roll bituminous tiles manufactured by TechnoNIKOL. Outwardly, it looks like a roll of roofing material, on the front side of which a pattern is applied. The composition of the roll material is the same as shingles SHINGLAS. The same fiberglass impregnated with modified bitumen. The front side with a pattern is sprinkled with crumbs. An adhesive layer covered with a protective film is applied from the back plane.

For a rolled roof, the installation instructions provide for 2 ways of fixing it:

With any method of installation, a continuous crate made of plywood or OSB is used. It is important to ensure that the air humidity during operation does not exceed 75%, otherwise the coating may not stick.

The video shows TechnoNIKOL roll roofing:

Lining material

All bitumen and roll tiles are laid on a solid base, but before that, a lining carpet is rolled out under it. It is produced in rolls of different lengths with a standard width of 1 m.

Fiberglass impregnated with polymeric bitumen was taken as the material for the manufacture of the canvas. On both sides, the sheet is sprinkled with sand or fine stone chips. The rough surface creates better adhesion to the tiles, plus the stone chips form a reinforcing layer of the entire roofing.

Attention! Full gluing of bituminous tiles with carpet and lathing takes a long time at high temperature. The roof will gain full strength no earlier than in 2 years.

Until the full strength of the tiled roof, the roof is protected from frost, wind and precipitation by a lining carpet. The basic composition of the lining carpets is the same, but there are some differences in the method of fastening:

  • The built-up lining is used quite rarely. This is due to the inconvenience of working with a building hair dryer on the roof to supply hot air to the adhesive layer of the carpet.
  • The lining of the mechanical type of fastening involves the use of galvanized nails with a wide hat. The edges of the sheets for tightness are glued with mastic.
  • Self-adhesive carpet is the most popular and easy to install. It is enough to remove the protective film from the edges during the rolling of the roll, and the adhesive composition will firmly connect the sheets in the places of overlap.
  • Linings for combined fastening have the same self-adhesive layer, plus an additional sheet is nailed with galvanized nails.

The self-adhesive backing is very convenient, but expensive. The best option for tiles is laying a carpet with a combined or mechanical fastening method.

Enjoys the trust of consumers not only in Russia. Practical Europeans highly appreciated the balance of quality, aesthetics, economy of this product. Its full compliance with European standards was officially confirmed by certification. Let's talk about the features and benefits of this finish.

All about soft roofing

How roll shingles are made

The material is high tech. It consists of several layers, each of them has its own function. At the heart of the coating is resistant to chemically aggressive environments, rotting cross-reinforced fiberglass. It has high breaking characteristics, so the coating with such a base can withstand significant loads and deformations.

A bitumen-polymer layer resistant to temperature influences, aggressiveness of external factors is applied to the cross-reinforced fiberglass. It provides high waterproofing properties, wear resistance. Crowned by a multilayer "pie" basalt. The raw material for it is basalt. This is one of the most durable rocks.

A reliable stone "shield" protects the base from the effects of harmful UV rays for the bituminous mixture, precipitation, and mechanical influences. In addition, the finish owes its attractive appearance to this layer, which is always noticeable in the photo. The production technology gives the basalt topping any shade, forms a beautiful pattern.

The self-adhesive bottom layer gives a particular advantage. With its help, it is fixed on the surface without special equipment and without unnecessary fasteners. It is covered with a special film that protects against dirt or dust, which is simply separated during installation. Careful selection of components in each of the layers provides the final product with high consumer characteristics, reliability, and durability.

Evgeniy Avdeev, head of "Cottage and low-rise construction" TECHNONICOL

Flexible coating from TECHNONICOL is guaranteed to last for 20 years. It is not only about maintaining the ability to protect the building from precipitation, from other environmental influences, but also about the aesthetic component. According to the technology, the dye is added at the stage of production of basalt granules, it becomes part of their structure, so over the years the brightness of the color is not lost. To refresh it, it is enough just to periodically wash the roof, pouring it with a stream of water.

Advantages of decorative material

The advantages of flexible finishes make it possible to save on the design of the roof. Let's see how this happens.

1. Low price

During the construction of a country house, special attention is paid. After all, it is the roof that completes and defines the architectural image of the building. In addition, it makes an important contribution to the protection of the building from rain, snow, hail, and other adverse environmental influences.

Just a few decades ago, the dilemma of which finish to choose was rarely faced by the owner - they were covered by what was available. Most often slate or metal sheets. Now the market is filled with many materials of different types and brands. The most important criteria that the user is guided by in all this diversity are price and aesthetics.

Those for whom beauty comes first often choose flexible, natural or. At the same time, for a large category of buyers, the determining criterion is cost. They choose more affordable options: corrugated bitumen sheets, slate or metal corrugated board.

The choice is not so simple. People are not always ready to invest heavily, for example, in the roof of a country house, but at the same time, its appearance is not the least important. The new material, TECHNONICOL 3d roll tiles, fully takes into account both criteria. A bright, original roof with it will cost the price of systems with an economy class decor - slate or bituminous corrugated sheet.

Savings are due to the price of the material. Flexible finishes are roughly in the same price segment as slate or bituminous corrugated sheets. At the same time, its appearance can favorably distinguish the building from neighboring ones. Several collections are available for selection, differing in pattern, color. They are developed taking into account real wishes, reviews of satisfied customers.

2. No additional accessories needed for installation

Roll tiles - self-adhesive. If for the built-up bitumen layers the laying technology provides for work with an open flame, this is not necessary for a self-adhesive sheet. The technique is fully suitable for a wooden base (typical for most pitched structures). It is also attractive in comparison with the mechanical method of fastening.

When laying, it is not necessary to calculate wind loads, in addition, the laying speed is higher. Roofing nails, contrary to the title of this section, will still be required. But in a small amount - to fix the carpet at the seams to the base.

For example, the TECHNONICOL flexible coating makes it possible to save not only on the upper waterproofing layer, but also on other components of the “pie”. In addition to minimizing the consumption of roofing nails. The covering keeps within on the equal basis in one layer.

3. Easy to install even for a beginner

In addition to the price of materials, the cost also includes the cost of roofing services. Depending on the degree of complexity of the work, this component can be very noticeable. It is not without reason that soft decoration is widely represented in DIY stores. Using the manufacturer's instructions, even the owner of the house himself, taking friends or relatives as assistants, will cope with its installation.

If, nevertheless, a decision is made to turn to professional roofers, due to the high speed and ease of installation of roll tiles, the price of work will still be relatively low. The self-adhesive layer allows, after the separation of the protective film, to quickly and reliably fix the layers on the surface - an even, rigid, moisture-resistant base.

Works are carried out only at positive air temperature - from +10 o C and above. When laying at temperatures from +10 to +15°C, the base must be treated with a primer. To achieve a predictably reliable result, it is important to follow the instructions and follow all the recommendations of the manufacturer. We offer a video with detailed installation instructions.

4. Leaves no waste

When working with, you can go to a waste-free process. Each patch is suitable for fixing on the surface of the roofing system without residue. Picking a picture is not difficult. The average consumption of soft coating is 15-17% (for comparison, the consumption of metal tiles can reach up to 25-30%). Already at the stage of buying everything you need, you can save on its volume.

Thoughtful dimensions of roll tiles make it possible to save money without compromising the quality of the structure. For 20 years, a roof with such a carpet will reliably protect the house, while maintaining its attractiveness. The brightness of colors during this period can only fade from dust, but this problem is easily solved with a regular hose with water.

New coating modification

Due to the high potential in terms of the implementation of design projects on the plot and the low price, it has become very popular. Including when arranging gazebos, verandas, wells. Taking into account the growing demand, the manufacturer brought to the market another product specially designed for "light" buildings - mini roll tiles.

Small size (0.5 m wide) and small footage (2.5 m2/roll) make the product easy to transport. Waste volumes of such dimensions are increasingly tending to zero. Now the consumer has 5 colors to choose from - brown, red, green, blue, gray. By installing mini roll tiles, the owner of the house got a new opportunity to implement interesting design solutions on his backyard. And for little money.
