Types of products and scope
Osnovit putties are used primarily for leveling walls and ceilings, sealing gypsum fiber and gypsum plasterboard joints and repairing masonry joints. The binder elements in the composition of the putty can be cement, polymer or gypsum. This material is moisture resistant, but at the same time it is vapor permeable, which allows it to be used in rooms with high humidity without the appearance of mold. Such putty is plastic, resistant to cracks and non-shrinking. The base for the coating can be either concrete or gypsum, even cement.
The preparation of the material and the application process itself does not require large expenses and specialized knowledge, it is enough just to follow the instructions that are located on the side of each package. Of the tools, you need a roller, a container for putty, spatulas of different sizes are recommended, as well as a drill with a special nozzle and sandpaper for grouting the surface. The putty is diluted with plain water, then stirred until a homogeneous consistency without lumps is obtained. The base is first primed in one layer, and only then putty is applied. Each layer dries from 3 to 5 hours, while there should be no drafts and high humidity in the room. The grouting of the applied coating can only be started after it has completely dried.
Plasters
Plaster is used at the finishing stage, both rough and fine. Gypsum plaster "Osnovit" is used for leveling walls, partitions and ceilings. If your room is characterized by a high level of humidity (for example, it is a basement or basement), then it is better to use cement plaster. A layer of material is applied to the base of concrete, brick, as well as on the surface of rigid foam and ceramic blocks. This material is distinguished primarily by its high resistance to cracking and the effects of rain, hail and snow. Gypsum plaster "Osnovit" is vapor-permeable and very durable, which is confirmed by satisfied customers for more than 15 years.The application technology is quite simple. A thin layer of plaster is applied to the base, which is pre-treated with a primer, with a spatula, after which it is carefully leveled with a rule. After complete drying, the surface is ready for finishing, such as painting or wallpapering.
Masonry mortars
The mixtures used for the construction of walls, the construction of fences, as well as for the preparation of internal surfaces are called masonry. The “Osnovit” masonry mix, unlike its analogues, quickly gains strength, is resistant to frost and frost and is waterproof - all these features make the material the most versatile, which allows it to be used even for non-standard types of work, such as the construction of tanks for storing liquids or furnaces. The color of the solution can be standard gray, white and even chocolate, if necessary, it can be colored using colors. This mixture is suitable for laying walls and partitions made of concrete blocks and silicate bricks.Before starting the main work, the base for laying is checked, it must be cleaned and free of dust. The "Osnovit" masonry mixture is diluted with water, in the proportions indicated in the instructions on the package, stirred until smooth. The mixture is applied to each masonry element with a trowel. The elements are laid within no more than twenty minutes after applying the solution. The air temperature during work should not exceed +35. °С, but do not fall below +5 °С.
No type of finishing work can do without a primer. With its help, first of all, the surface of the base is dedusted, ensuring a reliable connection and reducing the degree of absorption. The primer significantly reduces the cost of finishing materials such as paint and simplifies the process of applying the finish coat. This material has proven to be an excellent antiseptic, and any room can be treated with it. Deep penetration primer is recommended to be used on old bases, GKL and GVL, it will not only improve the adhesion of materials, but also increase the strength of the structure as a whole.
The primer application technology is as follows: the primer is diluted with water, then poured into the tray. It is applied to the base with a conventional roller or brush. Each subsequent layer of primer is applied only after the previous one has completely dried.
Grouts
When carrying out tile work and facing with decorative stone, they often face the problem of filling the seams. Universal Grout "Foundations", ideally fills the seams, protects against the appearance of fungus or mold. It is suitable for both external and internal work. An extensive range of colors allows you to use the grout to give a unique color or mosaic effect. The material is water resistant and suitable for underfloor heating.An important feature of grouting is that at least a day must pass from the moment of laying tiles or decorative bricks. Waterproofing mixtures are an indispensable material for sealing cracks and seams, waterproofing building facades, balconies, basements and plinths.
