Step 6 On the other side of the plinth, a frame for the outer corner is installed. It is attached through the plinth on one side only.

Attention! While attaching the skirting board to the wall, it must be simultaneously pressed to the floor.

Step 7 After attaching the plinth, a bar is inserted that covers the caps of the self-tapping screws. Under the corner, it is inserted 0.5 cm.

Step 8 Plinth markings can be made not only from the inner corner to the outer, but also in a different way. To do this, a corner is placed in the inner corner, a mark is made on the wall along its side face with a pencil. A tape measure measures the distance from the mark to the corner of the wall. 0.5 cm is added to the resulting length. It is this length that a piece of the plinth strip is cut off.

GOST under this number allows a plastic product to have a variety of surfaces: smooth, corrugated, matte, glossy.

Technical characteristics affect the advantages of PVC skirting board: it does not require additional coating or coloring, it is resistant to external influences, moisture, does not fade under ultraviolet radiation, and is hygroscopic. It does not give in to corrosion, at the same time it is easy to wet it, it behaves well in wet and dry cleaning. The slats themselves are light in weight, unlike, for example, wooden ones, which is also an undoubted advantage during transportation.

1. "Deaf" from solid material;
2. With removable center panel, for inserting strips of flooring material;

How are planks selected?

They are selected taking into account the overall color scheme, flooring material and the size of the room. A PVC plank can complement both the walls and the floor finish, to choose from. It is extremely rare that they are selected, focusing on the color and trim of the doors (opanelka). But it is desirable that there is no sharp contrast between them either, for example, it is recommended to take into account the width of the decorative strip along the perimeter of the door and correlate it with the height of the plinth.

But chosen in the style and color of carpeting, linoleum and laminate, it visually complements the floor, expands the space, makes the floor design complete. A plinth with a central cable channel for electrical communications wires will have a greater height than a “deaf” one.

How to correctly calculate the length of the plinth?

Calculating the required number of bands is very easy to do. To do this, arm yourself with a tape measure and measure the perimeter of the room along the floor. Divide the perimeter by the length of the strip and round the resulting value up, and if the integer value of the number of stripes comes out, then feel free to add one more.

Docking elements are selected according to the color and texture corresponding to the main product, and their number is calculated in advance.
