Cool ideas to help put the perfect order in the table. How to clean up a chest of drawers once and for all How to make cardboard partitions in a box

Required materials and tools:
- a box (you can use a box for shoes or small household appliances) - a frame for a future organizer. In order for the organizer to be strong, it is better to use a box made of thick thick cardboard.
- cardboard;
- a piece of fabric for decoration;
- scissors;
- Ruler and pencil;
- threads (for internal seams and finishing of external sections) and needles;
- PVA glue.

Stages of work:
1. Prepare all the materials needed for the master class. The manufacturing process will be more pleasant and faster if everything you need is at hand. The fabric is better to use from a dense fabric. It is better to choose the color of the fabric so that there is no need to wash the organizer covers too often.

2. First of all, you need to decide how many cells you need. Be sure to check if the size you choose is suitable for your underwear. It should be borne in mind that the sizes of men's and women's underwear are significantly different. At the bottom of the box, draw a grid for future cells. Depending on the size and number of cells, it is worth calculating how many parts you need. From thick cardboard, cut out the details for the partitions of the organizer. On the finished parts, make slots for fastening the partitions. Fold the finished parts in the form of a grid.

3. Using partitions, cut out pieces of fabric. Make allowances at the edges so that the edges look neat. Glue the finished partitions with a cloth using PVA Glue. Leave the partitions to dry under pressure overnight. When the partitions are completely dry, cut off the excess edges and threads. Cut slots in the partitions to connect the cells. PVA glue perfectly connects fabric and paper or cardboard without leaving marks on the fabric. Super glue can leave dark marks on the fabric. PVA glue is non-toxic, so it is not necessary to use gloves and will not pose any danger to your laundry.

4. We sew an external cover for the organizer. Take measurements of the box. With a pencil on the fabric, draw a rectangle that will match the size of the box (cover the bottom and outer walls). In order to make it more convenient to sew, the folds of the fabric can be ironed. From the wrong side, sew the fabric with a regular basting seam in the form of a cover. It is not necessary to process the outer edges of the cover, the edges will be closed with an internal cover. At the piece of fabric for the future cover, cut off the excess fabric that forms when the cover is sewn together.

5. We sew an inner cover for the organizer. We sew the inner cover in the same way as the outer cover.
6. The outer edges of the inner cover should be overcast with decorative threads. This will protect the fabric from spilling threads and give the case completeness and accuracy.

You can quickly and easily make an organizer out of a cardboard box. Choose the right size box to fit in your closet. You can use one or more shoe boxes. Paste with a cloth, for this use PVA glue. It will turn out very beautifully if you paste over the box with napkins using the decoupage technique.

Measure the length and width of the box, cut out strips 15-20 cm high from thick cardboard according to these dimensions. Cover the details with a cloth. Make a markup on them according to the size of the cells. Install the longitudinal partitions, fixing them on the bottom of the box with glue. On the crossbars, make cuts along the markings, not reaching the top 1 cm and put on their main strips. The organizer is ready.

In a chest of drawers, you can make a laundry organizer even faster. Cut out cardboard partitions to the size of the box in which you intend to store linen, dividing the storage space into cells with them. Cells can be of any shape: square, diamond-shaped, rectangular.

There are other variants of the laundry organizer based on the drawer. Instead of partitions, you can put small boxes glued together. The cells can be multi-colored plastic mugs, jars connected to each other with glue.

hanging organizer

A hanging organizer made of fabric will help free up space in the closet. It's as easy to make as it is out of the box. You will need a dense fabric and material for pockets. Cut out a canvas of the desired size from a dense fabric and sew pockets on it. For overhead parts, you can use jeans pockets, multi-colored patches, transparent fabric. Sew the pockets in rows, then trim the product around the perimeter with a finishing tape. Throw the top of the organizer over the hanger bar and topstitch. You can hang this organizer for underwear on the door or outside on the end wall of the cabinet.

Even people with creative clutter have areas where they need to sort things out to make it easier for them to search when there is absolutely no time. For example, this applies to the closet: in the morning rush, it is difficult to find the right piece of underwear, and therefore this part of the wardrobe is best kept in order. A do-it-yourself organizer will help with this.

What you need to know about the linen organizer?

The traditional organizer for laundry or any small things is a large rectangular or square container with several compartments made for certain items. Most often it is made of fabric, but has a rigid frame. If the organizer is inserted into a chest of drawers and is reliably protected from dust, it is made open. If he has to stand on a shelf, it is recommended to make an additional cover, especially when the organizer is made for clothes. As a way to store underwear, the organizer can be universal, or you can build several options, each of which will be intended for a separate category: for bras, for stockings and tights, for night combinations, etc.

Regardless of what you do - whether you make a universal option, or decide on several separate ones, it is recommended to choose a non-staining and easy-to-clean fabric. As already mentioned, such a product must have a rigid frame, and at home it most often becomes cardboard. And when it gets wet, it usually deforms, as a result of which contacts with moisture are prohibited for the organizer. If you want to have an organizer in light colors, but it still runs the risk of requiring cleaning at least 2 times a year, you can try to make the outer frame out of plastic, and separate the zones simply with a well-stretched cloth. In this case, it will be possible to walk along the walls with a damp cloth with a cleaning agent and not be afraid for the safety of the internal material.

The cardboard organizer is the easiest to build: you need a large box, the dimensions of which are consistent with the dimensions of the box in which the organizer will subsequently stand. If an open shelf becomes its place, also consider how convenient it will be to place it there. Additionally, you will need thick cardboard for dividers, fabric for decoration, threads, scissors, soap, glue and a needle. At the initial stage, the frame of the future organizer is assembled: the inner width and length are measured in the box, after which these figures are transferred to thick sheets of cardboard, where partitions are drawn . For a universal type organizer, all compartments can be made the same size, for a bra organizer - do not cross them, and simply divide the entire space into several long zones. Slots are necessarily drawn on the divider strips for the universal organizer, which will allow them to be fixed on top of each other. The width of these slots corresponds to the thickness of the cardboard in which they are cut, the height is half the total height of the dividers. For the organizer under the bras, you do not need to draw them.

  • Now you can do the design and assembly of parts. First, you should finish with dividers: rectangles are cut out of the fabric, equal in height to the height of the dividers multiplied by 2, and in length completely corresponding to the length of the dividers with an allowance of 2-3 mm, which will close the ends. PVA glue is carefully applied to the cardboard on each side, and it is covered with a cloth. The place of the fold should be on the side that will be front after collection: i.e. look up from the organizer. 1-2 hours are given for the parts to dry, then the same slots are repeated on the fabric, and the separators are put on each other. The ends are glued last, which are also sealed with a fabric left for allowances.
  • Next, you should start sewing the cover: you can make a removable version that will occasionally stretch, which is important for light fabrics, or a non-removable one. The last one is much less work, it is done in much the same way as the design of the dividers - using glue. It is enough just to apply PVA glue on the outer and inner sides of the cardboard box, drawing out thin paths for them, put the fabric on top and carefully iron it, eliminating air bubbles. Places of "seams" are desirable to be located inside, since outside at the bottom they will interfere with the stability of the organizer. When the glue dries, dividers are placed inside, and the underwear organizer is ready.
  • If you want a removable cover, then a pattern is marked on the fabric, which is a box in the unfolded form. That is, the central rectangle of its bottom and the rectangles of the walls extending from it. Each “wall” must have an allowance of 0.5 cm on the side, along which they will be sewn, and also on top - for further connection with the inside of the cover. It is recommended to finish the edges of the fabric with an overlock or a zigzag seam on a typewriter before proceeding to basting the parts and passing over them with the final seam. The outer case should be a soft mock-up of a cardboard frame. The inner one is sewn in the same way, but the height of its “walls” on the pattern is slightly less, exactly by the difference in the thickness of the bottom of the box. In addition, there is no need to make allowances on top of the “walls” - only on the sides, in order, again, to sew all the parts together, forming an inner soft box.
  • To connect the outer and inner cover, Velcro is required: they are sewn onto the saved allowances on top of the outer cover and on the corresponding zones near the walls of the inner cover. After that, it remains only to put the fabric on the body of the organizer and fix the covers with Velcro to each other. Inside the box there are already prepared dividers, and the underwear organizer is ready. If desired, you can additionally decorate it with ribbons, lace or beads.

Underwear can be stored not only in a drawer with compartments, but also in a softer and easier to carry organizer in the form of a suitcase. True, here it is already much easier to work with a kind of "semi-finished product", since it is difficult to sew such a product. But if you have a few spare hours in stock, as well as a good, dense fabric that will hold its shape, such an idea can be implemented.

To build a mobile small organizer for underwear, ideal for trips, when a few favorite and especially frequently used sets are selected from the entire collection, you will need a non-staining and dense fabric, the dimensions of which you choose yourself, after studying the pattern of the future organizer. There will be only 4 details, of which 3 are represented by simple rectangles, and the 4th has a more complex shape. A zipper or strip of Velcro, a needle, thread, soap and scissors will also come in handy.

The pattern is transferred to the fabric, a small (5-7 mm) seam allowance is added to the details around the entire perimeter, and they are swept away, forming a classic suitcase bag with a lid. If the fabric is not dense enough, and the shape is lost in a vertical position, professionals advise making a double product: draw and cut 2 patterns, but do the 2nd one only for the bottom of the organizer, without affecting the lid. This will make the walls thicker and stiffen the frame.

Next, you need to cut out fabric rectangles, 2 of which will become dividers to get 3 compartments for bras, and 1 - will create a department for soft parts of underwear. The last section will be located in the cover of the organizer: a rectangle with overcast edges is simply sewn around the perimeter, leaving the 4th side open. Then 2-3 more stitches are applied across it, so that instead of 1 large pocket, get 3-4 smaller elongated ones. The remaining 2 overcast fabric rectangles are inserted into the lower part of the organizer, stretched between opposite walls and sewn on the sides in this position. There is no need to sew dividers to the bottom. At the final stage, you only need to sew a zipper or adhesive tape between the main area and the lid, make a handle on the lid if necessary, and decorate the resulting product.

The organization of a chest of drawers is a very grateful thing. A little effort and, as a bonus, exemplary boxes in which surprisingly much is placed and nothing is lost. And the things themselves, properly folded, even after long-term storage will look much neater.

In order for the chest of drawers to become perfect, it will take quite a bit of your time and the desire to change everything. And we'll tell you what to do.

We start, as usual, by emptying the boxes and decluttering. We throw away things in poor condition, out of fashion or those that you have not worn for a long time. We remove what is better to store in a suspended state, as well as clothes that do not correspond to the season or are rarely used - they can be folded in and put away, for example, on the mezzanine.

Now let's take care of ourselves chest of drawers. What can be done to make it better?

We decorate. Decorating the inside walls of the cabinet and chest of drawers is a standard practice for the KonMari method. If you don't like plain, boring drawers, cover their insides and/or ends with pretty wallpaper, fabric, or paper. The main thing is that when you look at the chest of drawers, you become happier.

Or special boxes that will fill the entire space of the box.

Even one container will make storage in dresser drawers much more convenient. You can use ordinary shoe cardboard boxes, and if you need a more aesthetic option, buy boxes with a beautiful print.

Sections in boxes can be made with your own hands - from thick cardboard, plastic or wood.

Moving on to organization OF THINGS.

Distribute into boxes. Sort the clothes the way you want - by type (t-shirts, socks, underwear, etc.), purpose (for home, work, etc.), sets, or in any other way.

Decide which drawer you will store items in each category. Marie Kondo's tip: Put your lightest clothes in the top drawer of your chest of drawers or closet, and your heaviest clothes in the bottom drawer. This way, tops and lightweight fabrics will be stored in the top drawers, while trousers, skirts and sweaters in the bottom drawers. If you apply this principle, you will get an "ascending" row of boxes.

Marking. Make stickers on the dresser drawers. So it is easier to keep order and you will avoid endless frantic searches, especially in the morning, when every minute is precious.

Or inside the organizer.

Putting things together. It is most convenient to store things vertically in a chest of drawers. This method is much more compact, neater and clearer: you will immediately see the right thing and will easily maintain order in the box.

Things can be rolled up.

How to put together different things correctly, these diagrams will tell you. For a more detailed description, see .

When laying out things, arrange them by color so that you can immediately understand what is where, and at the same time catch the color trend of your wardrobe.

Socks and tights. Socks can be stored in, basket or. It is convenient to roll tights into a roll, like sushi, after folding them in three. Since the tights are easy to unfold, it is best to store them in a drawer or box with dividers.

Pants, skirts, shorts, etc. Jeans, even in a wide drawer, can be stacked vertically in orderly rows. Small things made of slippery fabrics are best put in boxes.

Accessories. If you store jewelry and other accessories in a chest of drawers, you can't do without cells. In addition to dividers and organizers, you can use boxes and small boxes.

DIY laundry organizer: master class

Making such an organizer for storing underwear and socks with your own hands is very simple. And its cost is at least two times lower than that of the cheapest Chinese counterpart.

You will need: a shoe box, a ruler, a pen, glue, scissors and paper for decoration.

How to make an organizer yourself, see the step-by-step instructions with a photo.

The laundry box was picked up. Set the lid aside for now. You'll need it a little later.

  1. First, decide on the size of the drawer for underwear. Think about how many things you can put in it. It depends on what size box for underwear to choose and how many cells to divide it into.
  2. On the side walls, measure the height of the future organizer. Focus on the parameters of the locker in which you will store it.

  3. Mark the cut lines.

  4. Cut off the excess.
  5. From the lid and the remains of the box, make internal partitions. Calculate how many blanks you will need. Proceed from the calculation of the optimal cell area - 7-8 cm2.
    Make the height of the partitions equal to the height of the box or slightly less. They will be 2-3 mm shorter in length than the box itself. Then the assembled underwear or socks will fit freely into the cells.

    Now these blanks need to be decorated. In our case, gift wrapping paper with an interesting “crumpled” texture was used. But, in order to save money, you can get by with ordinary white sheets of A4 format.

  6. Tape the cardboard on all sides.

  7. Send them under pressure for a while. In the meantime, they dry, do the finishing of the box.
    Start from the inside of the sides.

  8. Then decorate the bottom.

    For exterior decor, oracal, scrapbooking paper or fabric is suitable. The material must be durable to withstand long-term use. We took thick wrapping paper in a contrasting color.

  9. Start with the sides. Make an allowance on both sides of 3-4 cm.
    Do not stick paper without "trying on" - this is fraught with errors and irregularities.
  10. Bend the sides - it will be more convenient. Make notches at the fold lines at the corners of the box so that the paper lays flat.

  11. Now you can glue.

  12. At the end, decorate the base of the box.

  13. Now back to the planks that dried out under pressure. Mark the location of future cells on them.
  14. On long blanks, make marks from the side where the glued edge is visible, and on short blanks, from the opposite side. Then, when assembled, the lattice will look neat.
  15. According to the marked marks, make cuts to the middle of the cardboard. The width of the notch should approximately equal the thickness of the plank.

  16. Now assemble the grate and insert into the box. Our underwear and sock organizer is ready to use.

The result is worth the effort. Such an exemplary order will cause admiration even among an avid perfectionist.
