Crafts from spoons - a chandelier. Handmade production of the original lamp from spoons Lamp from spoons

It does not require large investments in time and money. Some don't even have to buy anything.

Necessary tools and materials for work

To create a chandelier, the homemade author will use plastic disposable spoons. The frame of the structure will be a plastic water bottle. If such a house is not available, it is not necessary to purchase a full container. You can only buy one bottle. Also for the manufacture of the chandelier you will need:

  • stationery knife;
  • wire cutters;
  • glue gun;
  • cartridge;
  • bulb.

Manufacturing process

The first thing you need to do is cut off the bottom of the bottle.

The next step is the preparation of plastic spoons. With the help of wire cutters, we separate the handle (handle). This part of the cutlery will not take part in the manufacture of the chandelier. The number of spoons you need will depend on the bottle. A 5 liter bottle will require approximately 200 cutlery. When everything is prepared, you can begin the process of creating the original chandelier.

We take a plastic blank from a spoon and glue it to the bottle using a silicone stick. And so on around the bottle.

The next row is done with an offset. So that the center of the spoon is between the other two of the previous row. When all the rows are finished, it remains to close the neck of the bottle. Here you will need to place the spoons not in a vertical position, but horizontally. You should get a kind of "wreath"

When the ceiling is ready, it remains to install a cartridge in it and connect the wire to the mains.

Due to the fact that the entire structure is plastic, the author recommends installing an energy-saving or diode light bulb. Otherwise, if an incandescent lamp is used, especially a high power one, the design will deteriorate (begin to melt).

If desired, you can use spoons of a different color or combine several colors at once.
All successful crafts!

Find suitable plastic spoons. You may already have a collection of plastic spoons lying around in your work drawer - if so, then this is exactly what you need. Otherwise, you can buy plastic spoons from dollar stores, supermarkets, and outdoor BBQ/food outlets. In the manufacture of the first product, it is recommended to stick to a simple white color, since white is combined with almost any interior, and if necessary, the lampshade can be rearranged to another part of the house. But if you already liked a certain color, all spoons must be of the same tone.

  • Pick up spoons of the same size, but if you know exactly how to fasten spoons of different sizes, then you can deviate from this rule. If you use spoons of different sizes, think over the model of the lampshade in advance so that in the end you do not have to make it at random.

Take out the spoons. For this task, you only need a cup of a spoon or scoop, no handle. To gently separate the cup of a spoon from the handle, place the spoon on a flat surface that is easy to cut (self-healing cutting mats are the ideal surface). Use the Exacto knife to carefully cut the handle off the spoon. Carefully run your knife across the base of the handle, trying to cut it as straight as possible. After a few attempts, you will fill your hand - just get rid of all the spoons that turned out to be uneven.

Put the cups from the spoons in a pile or put in a cup. For convenience, you can use a large container for storing cups. And don't throw away the handles - they might come in handy later to decorate or finish a lampshade or lamp.

  • Prepare a lampshade or lampshade. What lampshade will you be using? There are two main options: an existing lampshade that needs to be updated, or a plastic container transformed into a lampshade. This article describes how to make a lampshade from a plastic container:

    • Wash and dry the plastic container shaped like a lampshade. As a rule, a large plastic container will do for this (see below). Do not remove the lid from the container for now.
    • Using an Exacto knife, cut out the base of the plastic container. There will be a part of the lampshade looking down. Insert the light bulb into the jar to make sure it goes through without hitting the edges. If it doesn't fit, find a bigger plastic container.
    • If you decide to use an existing lampshade or lampshade, make sure it is clean. A clean surface is essential to secure the spoons well. You can simply wipe down the lampshade with a damp cloth, but if you need to get rid of stains, a weak solution of laundry soap mixed with warm water is the way to go. Let the lampshade dry before you start.
  • Decide what pattern you want on your lampshade or lampshade. Using the tops of the spoons, you can tie them together, make a shell pattern where each successive spoon slightly covers the previous one while they are evenly spaced, or you can try fixing the spoons face up. For best results, first simply lay out the spoons to make sure you like the pattern, then try temporarily attaching the spoons to the lampshade itself using duct tape or office clay to hold them in place. Don't be afraid to try different patterns and directions for interesting effects - trial runs are done to play it safe and make sure the pattern looks good. For samples:

    • Spread the first layer or row of spoons around the base of the container. Then place the next spoon (end first) on top of the first layer of already attached cups.
    • Use a small amount of duct tape or office play dough to temporarily attach each spoon to the lampshade. Attach cups of spoons until you have the desired pattern.
  • Glue the spoons to the lampshade with hot glue. If you're happy with the trial pattern, fire up the hot glue gun. Spray evenly on the surface of a plastic container (or an existing lampshade) to glue cups of spoons:

    • Gently pour glue onto the top of the spoon (closest to the handle). Press it firmly against the lampshade for a few seconds until you are sure the spoon has stuck. If you are gluing the spoons face up, add some glue to the back of the spoon, at the point that will be attached to the vessel.
    • Continue gluing the spoons until the container is completely covered with them and nothing is visible under the cups of the spoons. They should be evenly spaced on the surface of the container. Adjustments should be made before it's too late, because once the glue dries, the cups will stay there forever.
    • At this point, if you want to spice up the lampshade, you can do so by adding showy stones, rhinestones, and so on, carefully arranging them on the spoons. It is recommended not to overdo it!
  • There is no doubt that the right lighting in the kitchen sets the tone for the whole interior. A chandelier can become a central element in this cozy and warm room.

    Using improvised materials - or even junk - you can make a lampshade from threads, an eco-style lamp from jute twine or plastic bottles, or you can make a real masterpiece - a beautiful chandelier from wooden or glass beads.

    And you can not only hang a lamp made by yourself in the kitchen or in the dining area, but also give it to your loved ones.

    Method 1. From improvised materials - everyone can!

    The simplest do-it-yourself lamp is made of threads. Indeed, even a child can handle such a design. So, to make a chandelier of threads, we need:

    • Threads - you can take ordinary jute twine or thick cotton threads, with a total length of at least 100 meters, the color is chosen based on your imagination and the existing interior;
    • PVA glue and a brush for its application;
    • Petrolatum;
    • 2 balloons - one for work, the second for testing; it is better to take a ball not ordinary, but round, then the shape of the lamp will be the correct shape.

    Advice! A children's or rubber beach ball is also suitable. For very large fixtures, a fitball is suitable, for example.

    Work on creating a ball of threads is carried out in the following sequence:

    1. We inflate the balloon of the required size. Do not forget that the resulting lampshade made of threads will repeat the shape of the ball. Draw with a marker one or two circles at the top and bottom (more below).
    2. Pour the glue into a container and carefully process the threads. And the ball itself can be coated with Vaseline with a brush.

    Advice! Do not immediately apply glue to all the threads - it is better to move along the place of winding.

    1. This is followed by winding the threads on the ball, taking into account the drawn holes - it depends on the density of the winding how your lampshade will turn out in the end.

    1. After the ball is wrapped, you need to leave the future chandelier to dry for at least 24 hours.
    2. The ball bursts and its remains are easily removed from the solid structure that has become. As a result, a lampshade made of solid threads was obtained.
    3. A hole is cut from above - under the cartridge.
    4. It is necessary to check the strength - another ball is inserted into the lamp and inflated. This will demonstrate the flexibility of the design.

    In this way, you can also perform local lighting in the kitchen by creating several lamps from threads with your own hands. And you can hang it in the dining area, as shown in the photo.

    Do not forget that for a ball of threads you can make additional decor in the form of interesting coloring, beads, butterflies or artificial flowers, or you can make a whole bunch of balls of different sizes.

    By the same principle, you can come up with your own unique lamp design. For example, from lace, or a ceiling lamp as in the photo below.

    Method 2. Create a masterpiece - you need to try!

    Excellent kitchen lighting will turn out if you make a lamp of beads or fabric with your own hands. Get a lamp in style or a real chandelier-chandelier.

    For this job you will need:

    • Old hoop, garden basket, hanging metal planter, or wire to create a frame;
    • Decorative chains;
    • Beads, beads, ribbons, strong threads;
    • Cartridge with a lamp.

    The lamp will be a two- or three-level structure of rings located one above the other and connected by chains or wire.

    Rings can be taken in different sizes, creating a lampshade in the spirit of vintage classics, or the same - just such lighting is performed in.

    The base of the lamp is certainly painted, wrapped or decorated, after which they start stringing beads.

    The consumption of beads in this project is as follows:

    Lower part: beads with a diameter of 16 mm, 15 pcs. on a thread;

    Upper part: beads with a diameter of 12 mm, 31-32 pcs. on a thread.

    Here you can vary the degree of tension and the number of threads.

    Advice! Work should be carried out by first hanging the chandelier and inserting a cartridge into it.

    By analogy, you can create a chandelier made of artificial fruits for the kitchen. And subdued lighting will turn out if you use fabric for covering the frame. As a rule, such a lampshade is made for country styles and.

    Method 3. Lamps made from waste materials - for a modern kitchen!

    The most original lamp can be made from such waste material as plastic bottles and disposable spoons - it's beautiful, cheap and environmentally friendly!

    We make a lampshade in the style of minimalism and - no additional decorations from threads and beads, only matte white or colored plastic. To make such subdued kitchen lighting with your own hands, we need:

    • Base made from a 5 liter plastic bottle;
    • Cartridge with wire and lamp;
    • Glue for high-quality fixation;
    • Lots of disposable spoons.

    To make a chandelier with your own hands, cut out the bottom of the bottle and cut off the handles of the spoons (not completely, so that a small stalk remains). Using glue, we fix the cut spoons on the base bottle. They need to be placed evenly, in order, then the lampshade will look attractive.

    Advice! Each next row is overlapped, without gaps.

    The resulting chandelier will resemble fish scales. However, it should be remembered that such a design is quite dense, which means that additional lighting will definitely be needed in the kitchen.

    The shape of the lamp can be different, for example, in the form of a lotus.

    From disposable spoons you can make such decorations.

    A lamp made of plastic bottles, or rather from their bottoms, made by hand, may seem lacy or consisting of many small flowers.

    Advice! Such a lampshade can be made not white, but colored - which means that you need to take colored bottles or paint it with paint of the original color: copper, gold, steel, pink, black, etc.

    The resulting lampshade can be hung in the kitchen or over the dining table.

    Let your kitchen be cozy and bright! We wish you creative success and present some more great ideas for making kitchen lamps with your own hands from improvised means.

    Such a cute lamp can be made from unnecessary plastic bottles and spoons. I really love original design ideas with my own hands, and even more so when it is super economical and provides a lot of space for imagination. See for yourself!

    Let's now look at how to make a lamp out of plastic spoons in more detail.

    To make this plafond you need:
    • 3 or 5 liter plastic bottle;
    • packaging of plastic spoons;
    • NECESSARILY! Energy-saving lamp, so that the light does not melt;
    • plastic;
    • stationery knife;
    • glue gun.

    If all the necessary things are collected - we proceed!

    1. We cut off the handles at the spoons with a clerical knife under the very base (we will not need them).

    3. Glue our spoons around the perimeter of the bottle.

    4. We glue the final edging in this way.

    The lamp is ready to be assembled.

    As a result, you will get such a chandelier, glowing with a pleasant matte light.

    This is how the lamp will look when the light is on.

    After your work has dried, you can paint it with acrylics and glue rhinestones for volume. In the evenings, rhinestones will flicker on the walls with rays, creating an atmosphere of comfort and mystery. And lovers of something extravagant can use phosphorescent paints (they are sold in stores for artists), which warm up when the lamp is on, and after turning off they glow all night ...

    It will be a surprise for your household! Good luck!

    P O P U L I R N O E:

      Many of us have our own private houses, dachas, garden houses or "fazendas". If the dacha is located near the city, some families generally move there for the whole summer, and if there is a warm, heated house, they spend a lot of time in the winter. Life in nature is beautiful, no doubt, but you still want some of the benefits of civilization like running water. Often there is no central city water supply in the country, and a well is used as a source of water. The depth of the well is usually much greater than the depth of soil freezing (for the Moscow region up to 1.5 meters).

      You can easily and simply make a beautiful gift bag out of paper and not only ...

      To make the package you will need: a color printer, scissors and glue.

      The package can be made together with the children - it will be interesting and useful, and you will also get a good gift with your own hands!

      What to do if the hen did not arrive in time? And the number of young animals obtained is not always satisfactory, and serial incubators are expensive.

      There is only one way out: try to mount it yourself.

      A chamber for a simplified model of an incubator can serve as ordinary cardboard boxes, pasted inside and out with layers of thick paper, wooden frames, sheathed on both sides with plywood or plastic, filled inside and between the walls with glass wool, dry sawdust, foam.
