Salt dough Christmas house. Modeling from salt dough - a house or a vase for decor New Year's house a candlestick from salt dough mk

I have a shelf for spices, but there are no jars. So I thought about making them myself. Maybe someone will benefit from my experience.

I still have jars of vitamins, because spring has come. The dough was dyed with Easter egg dye. To be honest, I'm not very friendly with coloring. So I decided to save time.

Let me give you an example of one house. Up to the lid, we decorate our houses at our discretion.

This is what the roof of our house looks like. And of course some tips. Do not press the edges of the roof strongly against the wall. When they dry a little, try to remove the roofs, otherwise they will dry out. And yet, it is better to make holes in traffic jams later, pierce with a hot knitting needle, I chose a different method, do not repeat my mistakes. I would love to hear your feedback and advice. Thank you for visiting my page. And I have already ordered three piglets, but you still do not have enough time. I would like to see your work on this technique.

Salt dough houses.

2. Make thin plastics out of the dough and wrap them around a plastic cup, which must be placed on the table with the bottom up. This must be done very evenly and very carefully.

3. With the help of a stack, give the house a brickwork structure. After that, attach at your discretion the remaining low-volume parts - windows and a porch. Dry the product well at room temperature. After drying, we will continue to sculpt houses from salt dough.

4. Now we need to make a roof. Using paper or food foil and tape, make a roof frame.

5. Place the frame on top of the cup.

6. Then we need to fashion the roof of any design at our discretion.

7. Near the wall of the house you can place a cheerful snowman. Blind it from separate parts, then glue our snowman to the dried wall of the house with water.

8. Now we need to mold a heavy oak door from a layer of dough, place it in the right place and use the stack to apply the necessary texture.

9. On the other side of the house, we will place a small fluffy Christmas tree.

10. Now our fabulous house needs to be painted with gouache or acrylic paints.

Here's what we need to get started. A can of canned food, or a bottle, a sheet of cardboard, a stapler, a stationery knife or scissors, Titanium glue, paper (painting) tape

We take a sheet of cardboard (in my case it was a box of cornflakes) and fold it into a bag

In such bags, grandmothers usually sell seeds. We fasten it with a stapler.

Cut off the corners of the cardboard in a circle. We glue the finished roof base to the jar or bottle with Titanium or masking tape. Who is more comfortable. I have done both on different occasions.

Here's what the end result should be.

Here's how to fix the roof with duct tape.

When the glue dries (the option with adhesive tape does not require waiting), we stick around our jar or bottle with dough. Dough thickness approx. 0.5 mm

Carefully smooth the joints of the dough with a brush with water and fingers. You can wrap it with a textured cloth and press it a little to get a textured surface.

We decorate the walls of our house the way you want. You can just make an imitation of masonry with a stack, it will also be very interesting and quite simple.

These are the gnomes who live in my house, they love each other, hold hands and send a big hello to all of you!

When the dough on the walls of the house has dried up a little, we move on to the roof. We roll from the dough such a bar or sausage.

We apply it to the edge of the roof and press it with our fingers like this.

The dough should hang down a little from the edge of the roof to cover the cardboard.

Here's what happens on the first round.

We push the first row of tiles with a stack. Down up.

You can make a beautiful house for a gnome from salt dough together with your children, having fun together. Salt dough is very easy to make. House decorations are also simple.

Unusually shaped confectionery always tastes better and looks original. Such a house can be put on a cake as a decoration or molded for fun, playing with children. The idea of this toy house came to me when we ordered cakes in Moscow to order for my daughter's birthday. One of the cakes was made in the form of a forest clearing on which stood a small house. The cake was very original and delicious. And now let's make a similar house from salt dough. It's not difficult at all!

We will need:

  • salty dough;
  • rolling pin;
  • sharp knife;
  • paints;
  • brush;

Our house inside will be hollow. To do this, take a bottle, wrap it with foil to make it easier to separate the dough from the bottle later. When the dough dries, the foil will easily fall behind the glass.

Cut off a piece of dough and roll out with a rolling pin a layer 0.5-1 centimeter thick. Cut out a rectangle the size of the bottle. Wrap around the bottle and glue the seam with water. Take a brush, wet it and go over the seam.

The walls of the house are ready, now take a sharp knife and cut out the window. I made a window and doors, you can do the same. They can be of any shape.

In my case, the window is square. Then I decorated it with shutters, fingers, pinches make a semicircular window sill. Cut out a thin strip and glue it to the top of the window. Roll the dough into small peas, flatten with your fingers, and decorate the top and bottom of the window. Wet the parts with water before sticking.

Turn the house upside down. Here we will cut the door. It will be semicircular - arched. Decorate the contour with pebble balls. Make three semicircular steps. The entrance to the house is ready. You need to make a door. Cut out the dough according to the shape of the entrance and make three grooves on top with a toothpick, and stick three thin sausages across.

I really want to decorate such a house, because it is fabulous. I decorated it with sunflowers. Each petal is cut separately. You can simply make a large flower with round petals - it's quick and easy.

Insert the door into the opening, do not forget to constantly moisten the adhesive surface with water. This is such a beautiful house you get.

Now let's take a look at the roof. Take the cork and wrap it with foil, form the shape of the roof.

Roll out the dough into strips and tile by hand. Wrap the cork at the bottom of it and connect the edges. Then make another tape and glue on top. And the third layer: make a cake, cut an openwork edge on it and cover the dome.

You can make a pipe like this: take a pen, wrap it with foil and stick the dough on the foil. Insert into the roof and secure with water.

Good afternoon friends!

I really like salt dough houses. And I decided to do the same when I chose a free minute for myself. And at the same time I will show you how you can sculpt from salt dough. I won’t paint a lot and I won’t go into detail, since it seems to me that the whole process of modeling is visible in the photographs. Only in the course of the process, I will make some clarifications.

House - a vase of salt dough:

I made salt dough according to the standard recipe:

I take 100 gr. salt + 100 gr. flour and add enough water so that when kneading the dough, a mass resembling plasticine is obtained.

I decided to make a house in two parts - the base of the house and the lid. This house, I plan to use as a vase, to give the atmosphere a romantic or fabulous mood.

For the base, I used the cut off bottom of a half-liter bottle and wrapped it in foil.

Wrapped the base with dough. I made a window on one side and an entrance on the other.

Cut out squares from the dough. And decorated the entrance arch with them.

With small cakes - “stones” she first decorated the window. And then the walls of the whole house, up to the entrance. It turned out stonework))

I gave the stones textures, used a bone for this.

Then, the house was put on the base.

The base was also overlaid with “stones”. Then, I decided to lay the door and window from the inside. I made cakes and stuck them inside the house.

Now, I decided to decorate the house with flowers. I marked the places with a pencil.

I cut out the flowers and stuck them on the planned places.

Having finished decorating, the joint between the house and the base was covered with dough. I applied pieces of dough and pressed it down. At the same time giving the invoice.

Here's what I ended up with.

When the product dried up on the base, I dried it in the oven over low heat with the door open.

I did not film the process of painting the house, because it is the same as that of the trunk - first a thick layer of paint is applied, left to dry, then the top layer is lightened with a moistened cotton swab.

Lacquered with ordinary construction varnish.

I got only 2 final photos, since my baby got to the house (as well as everything new with the help of a chair and natural dexterity), accidentally brushed it off the closet shelf and smashed it to smithereens...

Salt dough modeling - house

Friends, if my master class was useful to you, share it with your friends!

The New Year's fever has not yet begun, and the craftswomen have long been preparing for the merry winter holidays, diligently carving snowflakes or creating something special with their skillful hands. To please the kids or surprise friends and family, you can make a house in which there will also be a holiday and even lights run along the walls.

In order to create this beauty you will need:

1. Salt dough. The dough can be of any recipe, and there are usually several of them, but it is better to use the safest option, especially if you are going to do crafts with your children. For the test you will need:

1 cup fine salt (preferably "Extra")

2 cups of flour.

1 glass of hot water.

2. The rest will be needed for the manufacture of the product and its design:

Scissors, knife, cardboard, pencil, acrylic paints, varnish, brushes.

Glue gun, but if this is not available, then you can use Secunda glue or mounting PVA.

Varnish, glass pebbles or beads for decoration, artificial snow.

The first step is preparing the dough.

Making the dough is very simple: dissolve salt in water, add flour and knead.

The second stage is the manufacture of blanks for the house.

Think about what your house will be like, how many windows and doors you want to make in it, what the roof will be like and other nuances. Based on your sketch, draw “patterns”: 4 walls, a roof, doors, a pipe, and whatever else you want.

Roll out the dough to a thickness of half a centimeter and with the help of cardboard blanks, applying them to the dough and cutting with a knife, we make the details of the future house. Having cut out all the details, we send them to the oven for 15-20 minutes at a temperature of 180 degrees.

Stage three - we collect the house.

The finished parts must cool, after which we glue them. It is very fast and convenient to glue with a glue gun, but you can use alternative methods using other types of glue. After assembling the house, let it stand for a while, for the glue to dry completely.

Stage four is the most creative.

The finished craft must be painted with acrylic paints and varnished. Letting the last layer of varnish dry, we proceed to decorate the crafts - no one limits your imagination in this matter. In order for our dough house to be as "New Year's" as possible, you can cover it with a layer of artificial snow. Since there are a lot of windows, you can realize another original idea - put a candle inside or attach a couple of LED bulbs. Such beauty will not leave anyone indifferent!

Many craftsmen would like to please their family and guests with bright handmade decor elements. Salt dough candlestick house will become a beautiful decoration of your home.

The tradition of making do-it-yourself salt dough houses can become a family tradition, because it is easy, interesting, inexpensive and environmentally friendly. Anyone who has at least once tried modeling from plasticine or clay can sculpt crafts. A cute candlestick will decorate the interior and solve the gift problem. The candlestick can be used for its intended purpose using LED candles. Products made from flour and salt can be stored for years, the main thing is to properly prepare the dough and treat the surface.

dough recipe

Before you make a house out of salt dough, you need to knead the mass. To make salt dough you will need:

  • salt - 1 cup;
  • water - 0.5 cups;
  • flour - 1 cup.

Mix salt with flour, stirring, add water. For a more elastic mass, you can add 1 tsp. vegetable oil. If in doubt about the strength of the future product, add the same amount of PVA glue. Knead the dough. If the mass does not stick to your hands, does not crumble, has a strong and elastic structure - you did everything right. If this is your first time working with salt, get to know the nuances of this hobby at.

Preparing tools for work

For work, you will need materials: cardboard, foil, Gouache paints, PVA glue, instant glue, spray varnish.

Now prepare your tools:

  • plastic cup;
  • fruit carving chisel;
  • tassel;
  • glass for water;
  • skewer;

Prepare a couple of additional tools that will help in decorating the house. For this, everything that is at hand is useful: a kitchen knife, cookie cutters, a glass, a curly knife, etc.

Step by step sculpting process

And now form a house from salt dough according to a master class with step-by-step photos.

To make the house voluminous and hollow inside, you need to sculpt on the base. To do this, turn the plastic cup upside down. To ensure that the product is well removed and does not stick, wrap the glass with foil. For the roof of the salt dough candlestick house, twist a cone out of cardboard, making cuts from the base to the top with a height of 1 cm.

Cover the base. To do this, make a layer of dough uniform in thickness and attach to a glass. Glue the seam and smooth it with a brush dipped in water. Leave a hole at the top.

Use a knife to cut out windows and doors. Decorate the walls with "pebbles", blind an outdoor flashlight and a porch.

Start making the roof of the house. To do this, wrap the cone with foil. Roll out the dough into a strip 1 cm high and use a chisel to make triangular edges. Wrap the workpiece around the cone at the base.

Make two more similar strips, reducing their length. Lay the strips one on top of the other, gluing them together with water. Next, continue the roof with a continuous layer in which cut out a window. Finish the top with three jagged stripes, leaving a hole in the roof.

It's time to dry the product. You can dry both in air (2–3 days) and in the oven at a temperature of 40–50⁰ (5–7 hours).

When the product is completely dry, glue the roof with instant glue.

Start painting the house by adding a little PVA glue to the paint.

When the paints are dry, open the product with a spray varnish and leave to air dry.

The candlestick house is ready! Inside, you can put a small decorative candle, or LED bulbs, in which case the house will become a wonderful night light.

Complement the interior and made from the same salty mass.
