Covering protective film for repairs. Protective Film Floor Protective Film

To date, there are many new products among floor coverings, one of the most popular is self-adhesive vinyl floor tiles. To find out why she owns a leading position, we suggest considering the features of self-adhesive vinyl tiles.

This material is suitable for floors in high traffic areas. It can be both a private apartment and a production workshop.

Self-adhesive types of tiles are easy to install, high tightness and high sound insulation. And the ability to retain heat well makes vinyl tile more in demand than its ceramic counterpart.

Now let's see what this material consists of.

Composition and form:

  • polyvinyl chloride (PVC) (base structure).
  • quartz sand;
  • plasticizers;
  • stabilizers;
  • resins;
  • fillers to increase inertness.

All components are thoroughly mixed and then pressed under high temperature. Due to the presence of quartz sand in the composition, this material is also called quartz vinyl tiles.

It should be noted that the finished product has several layers:

  1. polyurethane;
  2. transparent PVC layer;
  3. picture;
  4. polyvinyl chloride mixed with quartz sand and forming the basis of the product;
  5. self-adhesive film.

The layers are laid in a thickness of 1 to 4 mm. The form is usually observed either in the form of a square with an area of 300 or 600, or in the form of a parquet.

Division into classes

Depending on how actively PVC floor tiles will be used, it has the following classification.

  • 23-31. This is a decorative class with a very elegant appearance. Requires a careful attitude.
  • 33-42. It is used in shops, offices, educational institutions. It is a commercial product in demand.
  • 43. Extra strong vinyl coating. The thickness of such a tile can reach 4 mm. It is strengthened by special additives, making the surface anti-slip and antistatic. Used in gyms and dance clubs.

Advantages

The main concept of vinyl laminate and tiles is modularity, which allows you to combine several types of patterns at once and get a unique result.

  • Strength. Defined by the above classes. The higher the class, the higher the strength indicator.
  • Impact resistance. Does not break or crack, unlike models made of ceramics.
  • Acceptable price.
  • Availability of self-adhesive models.
  • Preservation. Appearance does not change during the specified period of operation.
  • Ease of care. You can wash and clean such a coating using any chemical means.
  • Increased moisture resistance. Doesn't absorb water at all.
  • Ecological purity. Despite the artificial components, it does not have any harmful secretions, it can even be used in.
  • Little weight.
  • Ease of installation. Installing vinyl floor tiles is not difficult.
  • Possibility of partial replacement. In case of damage, you do not have to change the entire coating, it is enough to replace the damaged part.
  • Wide range of.

The ability to apply any pattern on the flooring allows you to create an imitation of any surface, from a sandy shore to a forest clearing.

Thus, such material combines the best qualities of other types: the beauty of parquet, the practicality of linoleum and the modularity of tiles.

Features of individual brands

Vinyl tile Tarkett (Tarkett Art Vinyl), for example, has a number of additional advantages.
  • Another layer of polyurethane protection. Levels the surface and prevents the ingress of dirt.
  • The presence of fiberglass. Prevents stretching of the product and enhances strength.
  • Higher ability to imitate natural materials. Wood, granite or sea surface - everything will look more natural.

Thus, Tarkett vinyl tile is a durable and protected material, which is guaranteed for 15 years. The cheapest types with a low load class can be found on sale from 550 rubles.

Also, when choosing, you should pay attention to Vinyl - PVC flooring from a Belgian company. They are not inferior in quality to Tarkett and give a guarantee of 25 years.

Vinilam modular quartz-vinyl coating has a high-quality texture that imitates natural materials very well. The price per square meter starts from 1380 rubles.

Floor laying

Vinyl flooring is really easy to install. The main thing is to properly prepare the floor, making it smooth and clean.

During laying, the temperature in the room must be above 15°C, the relative humidity of the air must be less than 60%. You also need to finish all the work on and doors and complete all the finishing work.
The coating must lie indoors for several days to adapt to temperature and humidity, otherwise it may change its dimensions. Also, you can not unpack it immediately after bringing it home from a cold temperature, the material may crack.

Laying vinyl floor tiles has the following steps:

  • First, prepare and, if necessary, degrease an even and dry base. If the floor is initially curved, digestion is carried out using a screed or self-leveling mixture. Small height differences up to 3 mm for every 2 m are allowed.
  • In one room, it is desirable to use materials from the same batch, which is indicated on the package, so that the color is the same.
  • Do not install vinyl flooring over existing linoleum, laminate, painted floors, hardboard, chipboard, plywood, or any other substrate that is subject to dimensional change due to temperature and humidity.
  • If there is no hygrometer to change the moisture level of concrete, you can check it in another way. To do this, cut off a piece of plastic film 1 * 1 m and glue it with adhesive tape along the edges to the floor for a day. If condensation appears on the inside of the polyethylene, then such a base is not suitable for installation.

  • Immediately before laying, the surface is dedusted and treated with a primer to increase adhesion.
  • The first stage of laying is to determine the center of the room. Unlike ordinary ceramic tiles, PVC counterparts are laid from the center of the room. To mark it, you need to measure the length and width of the room, divide them into two and draw two perpendicular lines through the center, as shown in the picture.
  • The first tile is laid, starting from the center, in a sector more distant from the entrance. Installation can take place “layer by layer”, like a conventional laminate, or by the pyramid method. In the first case, the rows are laid alternately, and in the second, full rows are first made up, and then the rest of the tiles are adjusted to them.
  • Vinyl flooring can also be laid side by side, butt to butt, diagonally. Offset tiles are usually done when laying rectangular types that imitate wood. Square tiles under ceramics are laid without moving the seams.
  • Diagonal laying requires additional floor markings. To do this, mark out two diagonal lines through the center of the room. Also, instead, you can simply lay the first tile with corners at the intersection of the primary marking in the center of the floor. This method of laying is more difficult, will require large expenses, but the result will be spectacular.
  • Laying self-adhesive vinyl tiles is very easy. To do this, just remove the protective film from the bottom and press the tiles to the floor with your hands, like a regular sticker. The resulting air bubbles are squeezed out.
  • If models with Click locks are purchased, then the use of glue for installation is not provided here. Such panels are joined like a conventional laminate - the locks are inserted at an angle and lowered.
  • It will be more difficult to install ordinary PVC tiles, without a self-adhesive layer and locks. Usually these are quartz vinyl types and some pressed models. Their packaging indicates which glue to use is best. Dispersion types of glue are applied only to the base, and contact types - both to the base and to the back of the tiles. Most often, acrylic dispersion adhesive is suitable, its consumption is approximately 250-350 g / sq. m.
  • Apply the adhesive in small patches with a notched trowel and press the tiles to the floor. To securely fix it, this is done evenly with a rubber mallet or roller. You can not use a dried layer of glue, so it is not applied immediately to a large area.
  • To simplify the selection of a pattern, special arrows are drawn on the reverse side of the tiles, which set the direction of the pattern. When laying, they should be directed in one direction.
  • Before laying the last row against the wall, measure the remaining width and cut the appropriate tile with a regular knife. At the same time, it is important to leave a temperature gap of 5-10 mm near all walls, pipes, doors. The plinth will hide it.
  • After about 1-2 days, the adhesive will dry and you can use the new floor covering.

When laying laminate and parquet, high quality is often used. It is needed for waterproofing the base, and also contributes to smooth laying. Currently, they buy a special film, as well as a polyethylene foam substrate. The second option is somewhat cheaper.

Polyethylene film is used for vapor and water insulation in the panel. The most common film is 0.2 mm, which we always have in stock. The maximum width is up to 3 m. Before starting laying, you need to know a few basic rules. So, you need to remember that some strips of material should be laid with an overlap of 20-25 cm. Gluing must be done with adhesive tape. Near the wall, the film should be wrapped up a couple of centimeters.

Transparency film is more suitable for styling as it can be used to get the job done accurately. Also, when carrying out repair and construction work, the film can be used as a protective coating for parquet.

Thus, you can protect the floor from scratches and other damage. It is quickly and easily laid down even by the efforts of one person. For such purposes, we recommend using recycled film - it is slightly cheaper than primary production film.

For laminate, a film with a thickness of 2 mm is most often used, for parquet - 3 mm. For a tighter fit to the floor, you can use a film with special additives; it will not bend onto the walls. The film is sold both in rolls and in running meters. Length in rolls is 50 and 100 meters. Width - up to 2 meters. If you need plastic film for floor

Polyethylene film for underfloor heating

When laying modern floor coverings, different densities are used. The most commonly used waterproofing and insulating films of different colors. Externally, such films are similar to films for horticultural work. However, thanks to additional additives, such a film is resistant to chemicals. Also, such film coatings are used to insulate walls and foundations. Films are produced in the form of a sleeve or a semi-sleeve. They are wound on plastic spools of different diameters. Film width from 100 to 2000 mm. The film is produced transparent and color, stabilizing and non-stabilizing.

The film is used as insulation between the subfloor and floor coverings. It is usually laid under an insulating polystyrene foam underlay (which can be purchased from us). The joint use of these materials allows us to solve two problems: underfloor heating and waterproofing. This is especially true if there is an excess of moisture in the room. So the bathroom should be waterproofed. Even in cases where ceramic tiles are laid. All areas that have contact with water must be insulated with a film.

It is better to use a waterproofing film up to 200 microns thick. It is sold in rolls and linear meters. If it is used in this capacity, then its shelf life is practically unlimited, since it will not experience heavy loads, acting as a buffer between the base and the floor covering. Some films have soundproofing properties. If you need polyethylene film for underfloor heating good quality, please contact LENTAPAK.

Polyethylene film under the laminate

For proper laying, the laminate is used as a substrate. It is necessary in cases where the laminate is laid on a concrete surface or cement screed. Taking into account the minimum height difference of the base (about 2 mm) under the laminated floor, it (the base) is leveled with self-leveling compounds to the desired level.

A concrete or cement base tends to accumulate moisture. And if there is an excess of it, then sooner or later it will negatively affect the laminate. This can be avoided by using plastic wrap. It will perform the function of hydro - and vapor barrier. Typically, a film with a thickness of 150-200 microns is used. You can buy such a film at LENTAPAK. The film can be bought in rolls of 50 and 100 meters, as well as in running meters. All goods are certified and safe. For high-quality waterproofing, we recommend a vapor barrier transparent film of primary production.

Film laying features

Before laying the substrate, the substrate must be clean, level and dry. The film is laid in strips, which are glued with adhesive tape. Near the wall, the film should be wrapped up a couple of centimeters. It is better to glue together to get even coatings. The strips are superimposed perpendicular to the laminate panels with an overlap of up to 20 cm. In addition to the film, a polypropylene substrate is also laid, which dampens noise during steps, and also prevents moisture and water from entering the laminate. In general, laying the film does not take much time and effort, but it is best to do this work with two people.

Application: Clean, shiny floors are the basis of the comfort and beauty of your home. But nothing spoils a pleasant impression like scratches and dirt. Of course, you can try to cover the damage with carpets (which do not always fit into the interior and cause a lot of trouble with cleaning), or, even more difficult and costly, to replace the coating. But it is much easier to avoid such problems in the first place.
And now it's very easy to do so. It is to prevent scratches, dirt and any mechanical damage that the unique L’PINTO protective sticker was invented.
You no longer have to worry about the fact that the heels will scratch the parquet, or your beloved cat will decide to sharpen its claws. Scratches from a chair on wheels, damage from rearranging furniture are no longer terrible - your floor will always be perfect, thanks to a protective sticker.
The sticker not only prevents a variety of damages, but also protects against dirt, water and sand. The protective sticker greatly simplifies the cleaning of the room. No need to waste time on repairs - just replace the film, and your floor sparkles clean again.

Decals are great for use in the area you need, whether it's a kitchen worktop, a wheelchair use area, or a front door area. Also, the advantage of protective stickers is simplicity and ease of use. They are easy to replace and are suitable for parquet and laminate.

Reliability guarantee:

The technology of manufacturing protective stickers for parquet and laminate was borrowed from the advertising industry, where such stickers are used for advertising on the floor in shopping centers with very high traffic and daily wet cleaning by automatic machines.

Protective sticker packaging:

The finished security sticker is packed in a cardboard box that will withstand everything that can happen in the mail during shipment. The only thing that can happen is that over the long haul, the curled sticker will "get used" to its curled shape, which may make it difficult for you to stick. Give it some time to rest, or smooth it out before applying. The size of the package depends on the selected size of the protective sticker.
