What can be made from pieces of plastic panels. What to do with leftover building materials? Interesting ideas from improvised materials. How to use extra wallpaper

Making pictures was very convenient and easy.. I make small paintings from 2-3 scraps of panels, connecting them together. From above I paste over the remnants of non-woven wallpaper, then draw something with acrylic paints, cover with acrylic varnish.

I also make a frame from panels: I cut them with a knife if there are no narrow ones. Then I cover with two layers of toilet paper. When everything is dry (usually the next day), I paint with acrylic brown paint or acrylic
varnish for wood. I covered everything with ebony acrylic lacquer in two coats, then several coats of clear acrylic lacquer. The frames became hard, and no one who saw them guessed what they were made of.

For a large picture, I only made a frame, and the picture itself was drawn directly on the wallpaper. The frame turned out to be light, albeit large. And if you suddenly fall down someday - certainly no one will be hurt!

night light tree I wrapped it with ordinary brown tape, I made branches from wire. Glued to the wall with liquid nails.

On one of the photos from the scraps of the panels the picture has a tree and the bottom of the fence, hidden between the frame and the picture. After all, there are panels with a thickness of 1 cm, then it is very easy to make a pencil holder out of them.

Construction is impossible without waste. What can be done with them? Many are thrown away. Do you know how many unique things will come out of them? Read on for details.

lumber

The naturalness of the tree is valued everywhere. Based on the parameters of the residuals, you can do a lot of things. Thin slats and undersized boards are useful for knocking down boxes for apples, pears and vegetables, for a baguette or photo frames. Fragments of furniture boards will be used for vertical gardening, containers for potted plants.

Floor and other boards in a polished form - for cutting coasters for hot, cutting equipment. Larger remnants are useful for creating stools, shelves for shoes, panels for hangers, country furniture. You may need to decorate the front door, the gate to the site, the doors of the chest of drawers or cabinets - small trimmings are perfect for small openings. Any cut of the board will be the basis for the drawing, the panel, the starting plane for the use of a burning apparatus or wood cutters.

Plywood, OSB boards

A fertile material for working with a jigsaw. Painted planar figurines will perfectly complement the dwelling and the plot. From the remaining pieces, original birdhouses, bird feeders, garden figures are obtained. Many make boxes for products, fragments of furniture, use for formwork. A lot can be done with imagination.

Foam insulation with foil

Ecofol, adgiline, penofol and other types of foil insulation can decorate a room and a summer cottage. Indispensable as New Year's street decorations (snowflakes, stars, figurines).

The reflective effect scares away birds. To do this, three-dimensional forms are made from insulation, attached to a fishing line and hung on trees in the summer. If you want to have a double-sided reflector, you can glue two blanks.

Household gardeners make portable refrigerators. It's not difficult: you just need to glue the lid and the inside of the box / box. Such containers are suitable for winter storage of vegetables on the balcony, as they will retain heat.

Siding, PVC panels

After sheathing a house or repairing the interior, a lot of scrap and plastic scraps remain. Make a mini flower garden fence. With this material, you can distinguish between plantings in the beds.

The moisture resistance of such waste is used to cover small buildings on the street, including a woodshed, rabbitry, shower, well. With a skillful arrangement, you can make a gutter for draining water. Together with a wooden beam, you will get shutters for windows, a visor over the gate, a parapet for a gazebo.

Drywall

Everything will be used: broken pieces, scraps, crumbs. Complex structures are mounted on a frame, which is created using a mounting/ceiling profile. Small parts are glued onto a plaster mix (milk + plaster). The mind of the creator is limitless. Here are some examples:

Patio decor elements, gazebos, living rooms (geometric shapes, plant options);
stands for photos, stationery, vases for dried flowers;
miniature furniture for children's houses;
a shelf for a bath, a casing for communications;
niches for heating radiators, slopes for doors and windows;
decorations for hangers, shelves, racks;
decorative false fireplace.

pieces of tin

The practicality and convenience of the material is noted. Indeed, you can bend, cut, saw, resulting in any configuration. The material is suitable for outdoor crafts. For example: lamps of bizarre and primitive forms (pendant, lawn). Some use clippings for garden urns, ashtrays, flower containers, including hanging ones.

The home master makes stainless steel patches on linoleum, interior thresholds, floor protection from sparks by the stove, fireplace. A zealous owner uses small cuts in the form of clamps, gaskets for nuts / bolts. The elements of buildings are pulled together with stripes, they are used as a gasket for tying a large tree. Large segments limit creeping roots in flower beds.

Ceramic tile

The remnants of floor and wall tiles decorate a country pond, garden figurines. They trim the basement of the house, add fragments to the blind area. Small pieces are used in the decoration of kitchen furniture, in wall cladding. They turn it into a mosaic, lay out the surface of the tabletop with them, and insert it into the cement paths.

There are many more ideas for using construction waste. It is important, before parting with such "garbage", to think about its possible use. There are plenty of topics for fantasy.

Most often, the remnants of wallpaper after repair are left just in case, and suddenly something needs to be glued over time. But usually these leftovers lie idle. But from the wallpaper with your own hands you can decorate and make our interior original and new. To implement the idea, you can also look at the remnants of designer wallpapers on sale at a discount. Such wallpaper decor will be especially relevant in the country.

1. We update the furniture.

Updating furniture in this way is within the power of every home craftsman. The main thing is patience and accuracy. We decorate any surface of the cabinet - walls, doors, shelves, drawers.

If you paste over the side and rear walls of a cabinet, rack or shelf from the inside, the furniture will play in a completely new way.

For a longer service life of such a decor, it is first necessary to clean off the old coating: peeling paint or varnish. You can do this with sandpaper. Irregularities or deep scratches, chips must be repaired with wood putty, then sanded well with sandpaper so that the glue clings better. At the end of the preparatory work, apply a primer and dry the surface well.

If any part of the furniture or needs to be painted, then do it before working with the wallpaper.

We measure the surface and cut out pieces of the desired size from the wallpaper. We glue them to the surface of the cabinet with PVA glue or wallpaper glue, carefully smoothing and expelling the air. It is better to use wallpaper glue, because. it gives you more time to correct and process folds.

Paper wallpapers must be varnished to protect them from dirt and damage. A protective film must first be applied to the pasted wallpaper, otherwise the varnish may corrode the paper. For protection, use a conventional PVA-based primer or the remaining wallpaper paste.

Protection is applied to the dried wallpaper with a thin layer. When the protective film dries, you can cover the surface of the wallpaper with a water-based varnish. To make sure that nothing will happen to the wallpaper after varnishing, first try the process on a small piece, and then, making sure that everything is fine, proceed to the rest of the wallpaper. When choosing wallpaper for decor, it is worth considering that varnishing makes the wallpaper a few tones darker.

If you work with vinyl wallpaper on a dense base, you don’t have to worry about pollution: such wallpapers can be easily wet cleaned. Alternatively, you can use self-adhesive wallpaper. You can decorate not only external, but also internal surfaces. This technique enlivens the space, and you - the joy of a new thing made by yourself.

Such furniture will look advantageous if the color of the wallpaper echoes with a shade of curtains or decor in the room. Or vice versa, among objects of discreet colors it will become a bright accent. If you want to add brightness, you should paste over the sections of the cabinet or shelving with pieces of different wallpaper.

Modern fittings and other details emphasize the style of the updated furniture. Such decor from the remnants of wallpaper is an opportunity to include an additional pattern, color, ornament in the design of the room.

Furniture pasted over with the remnants of wallpaper will acquire a new style - Provence, country, vintage or any other. If the top is scratched and rubbed, having lost its former gloss, you can stick suitable wallpaper on it. This method is used to update various pieces of furniture: chest of drawers, cabinets, dressing table. And to decorate the tabletop of a coffee table, it is enough to cover the wallpaper on top with thick glass. So you can remove or change the wallpaper at any time. The rest of the wallpaper can also be pasted over any furniture, such as sideboards, drawers, screens, stairs, racks and shelves.

The internal staircase with the risers pasted over with the remnants of wallpaper looks stylish. The remains of moisture-resistant wallpaper, in harmony in color with the surrounding interior, are ideal here. A contrasting geometric pattern or traditional ornament will look great.

2. We make blinds for windows.

Paper blinds are a creative idea for decorating the windows of a veranda, summer cottage, as well as any window on hot days to protect from the sun. And they look more stylish than foil protection. Paper blinds are the lightest, do not need to be cleaned, are perfect for the kitchen, which cannot be said about a fabric product.

You can make such blinds in just a couple of hours. Wallpaper is better to choose quite dense. Best of all non-woven, light colors, reflecting light, without large patterns and not too colorful. We cut the canvas with a size equal in width to the width of the glass, and in length - 25% more than the length of the glass. We fold the canvas from the wallpaper with an accordion, the folds need to be made in the size of 2.5 - 5 centimeters.

At the same time, the end of the lower one should be directed downward, being a completed “step”, and the upper one should look up, opening outward. Using a hole punch, an awl or a thin drill, we make a hole in the middle part of the folded canvas into which we insert the cord. We straighten the blinds, fix the cord in the upper part with a knot. On the upper fold of the blinds we glue double-sided tape, which we attach to the window. Glue the bottom five folds in the middle and secure with tape. The result is a semicircle "peacock's tail".

We put a latch on the cord, with the help of which the blinds are raised up and lowered. The end of a cord or rope can be decorated with a decorative large bead. You can also make them on two parallel cords, just like real blinds. The order of their manufacture is similar. Only in this case you will need a retainer for two holes, which are made at a distance of 10-14 cm from the edge on each side.

3 . We decorate objects.

LAMPS. In this way, you will not only update the lamp, but it will also fit perfectly into your interior.

We take the frame from the lampshade. We cut out the paper so that there is a margin of about 2 cm above and below. Lubricate the paper with wallpaper glue and stick it on the lampshade. We cut the "reserve" in several places (so that there are no wrinkled areas) and carefully glue it inside the floor lamp. It turned out to be an almost new floor lamp. Now, based on our taste and interior, we decorate the lampshade with ribbons, braid and everything you want. The leg of the floor lamp can also be wrapped with some ribbons or a beautiful cord.

BOXES. To store seasonal shoes, clothes, many people use all sorts of boxes. These boxes can also be wallpapered. In order for them to fit well in the shape of the box, the wallpaper must be strongly moistened with glue, so it is easier to bend, drape, and give the desired shape.

In such boxes it is very convenient to store all sorts of necessary and unnecessary little things. From the remnants of wallpaper, you can make postcards, gift wraps and bags and much more.

FLOWER POTS, VASES, CANS. Usually flower pots are made of plastic or clay and are painted dull brown or white. And beautiful products cost a lot of money. A bright and colorful flower pot can be made by yourself, besides, it can be a good gift with a unique design for a colleague, friend or neighbors.

To decorate flower pots, it is better to take small pieces of thin wallpaper, then it will be easier for them to lie on the surface and not create wrinkles. For better fixing, we apply glue again from above. When the glue dries, apply a layer of varnish. The upper side of the pot can not be pasted over with wallpaper, I can paint it with acrylic paint. Textured wallpapers are suitable for flower pots or simple vases. And vinyl wallpaper on a dense basis does not need to be varnished.

In the same way, we decorate smooth tin cans in which various little things are stored. The rest of the wallpaper can also be used to decorate various details: doors, book covers, wall clocks, and that's not all.

FRAMEWORK. When decorating walls with wallpaper, you can move away from conventions and not glue them, but hang them. For example, in photo frames - you can get a good collage and a great alternative to an accent wall. Buy several photo frames of different sizes, but identical in design, and insert fragments of wallpaper left after repair into them. Stylish decor for the interior is ready.

Hoops can be used as frames. Such an unusual approach will bring zest to the interior, and round shapes will add softness. The plain surface of the wall can be decorated with whole pictures of wallpaper. Pieces of wallpaper are glued onto cardboard and inserted into the frame. Or, on the contrary, you can cut frames out of cardboard and paste over them with wallpaper.

Create a composition with frames of different sizes, also experiment with colors or wallpaper patterns. The same wallpaper in the same frames, located at a short distance from each other, will look stylish.

PANEL. From the remnants of wallpaper, you can make a panel. For a three-dimensional panel, it is necessary to have some kind of panel or slab made of chipboard, thin plywood or cardboard. The panel must be primed and wallpapered on the front side, wrapping the edges of the paper on the reverse side. From the "inside out" mount the suspension.

Pictures with a large pattern on the wallpaper look especially beautiful. You can hang one panel on the wall, or several, or make a modular panel. As a panel, just sheets of wallpaper were used. In the upper and lower parts, a sheet of wallpaper is fixed on a crossbar. Monochrome wallpaper patterns look spectacular.

4. Wall decor.

PATCHWORK. If you have a lot of small pieces of different types of wallpaper, then they can paste over one wall or opening. This technique will focus on a certain part of the room or allow you to divide the space into zones. This design will be a cute decoration for a child's room. Patchwork wall will support the vintage idea of any rooms decorated in country style, retro. But do not forget about color combinations, choose no more than three basic shades.

FIGURES FROM WALLPAPERS. You can move away from clear geometric shapes and decorate a plain wall with wallpaper figures. This idea is especially relevant for children. Patterned balloons, cars, planes, letters, numbers may appear in it; from the bright remnants of the wallpaper - animals and plants of all varieties - everything will look organic in the nursery. By the way, such an application can be an excellent way out of a situation with unexpectedly painted walls. The figures on the walls will allow the child to touch the fairy tale, and the images of fairy-tale characters will cheer up.

FALSE PANELS. With the help of false panels, you can quickly and inexpensively update the design of the walls if you want to change something in the old finish. Framing the walls in this way allows you to make the look of the room more elegant in a matter of hours. False panels can be glued over plain smooth wallpaper or on a wall painted with water-dispersion paint. Fragments of wallpaper of the desired size and shape are glued on top of the main finish.

Wallpaper that will imitate panels is preferable to take thick, textured ones. Silk-screened wallpaper looks elegant. After drying, the "panel" is framed. For this, moldings, wooden slats, plastic slats are used. Frames can be painted to match the wallpaper inserts or left contrasting. Mirrors, wall lamps, small framed paintings, wall clocks and other wall decor are hung inside the wallpaper panels. This design of the walls with the filling of the panels is typical for interiors in a classic style. For an interior in a modern style, you can choose a different frame material: use metal or plastic trims.

HEADBOARD. A bed with a high headboard is an essential element of a bedroom in a classic and English style. If your bed does not have a headboard, you can simply paste a part of the wall with wallpaper of a different color and texture, thereby imitating the headboard and creating a particularly cozy atmosphere. Wallpaper with a pattern on a solid wall is a simple and inexpensive accent that looks very stylish, especially if you complement it with a similar pattern on bedding or a bedspread.

You can glue over an existing headboard, or you can create an intricate pattern from a sheet of plywood and wallpaper. Give your headboard an interesting shape and your bed will become a unique bedroom accent.

Turn on your imagination, and then with the help of the remnants of wallpaper, at minimal cost, you can transform your interior and make it more comfortable and original! Do not be afraid to take the initiative, be unconventional and free!

Country construction, repair and decoration are processes that take up a lot of free time and finances, and when, after completing useful deeds, you notice a lot of remnants of various materials, it becomes a little insulting for the money spent. But we will not be upset, because all the leftovers can be used with benefit, it is not necessary to throw them away ..

Never rush to throw away construction debris and leftover building materials. Everything that was not included in the main work can still be useful for giving.

Drywall crafts

A truly versatile material can also come in handy in the form of scraps and broken pieces.

From drywall, you can do the following:

  • Small vases for dry bouquets, one has only to cut the GKL into even pieces and fold it into shape using a mounting profile;
  • Various geometric shapes for decorating rooms in a country house, gazebos and patios;
  • There are quite interesting solutions for miniature pieces of furniture in a children's treehouse. For example, the same shelves, racks, different decor.

If you can’t use drywall anymore, give it to the kids, because with any piece of damaged material you can simply draw on asphalt or slabs, using the material like chalk.

What can be made from pieces of tin

This material is very practical, because it, like pieces of stainless steel, can be bent into any shape. This makes it possible to create the most unusual crafts for giving.

  • First of all, these are original lamps, which, with the help of metal scissors or a grinder, acquire bizarre shapes;
  • Also, from a similar material, thin steel or tin scraps, you can make small country bins and ashtrays;
  • If the pieces are large, they can make good containers for flowers, even hanging ones;
  • You can also use stainless steel and thin steel for more useful things, for example, put patches on cracked linoleum, connect flooring joints in a country house with strips of tin, make clamps for bolts and nuts, cut washers, tighten wooden buildings and fences with pieces of material, install them as a lining when tying large tree branches so that their bark is not crippled with a rope.

Useful use of leftovers and scraps of boards

Almost anything can be made from wood, within reasonable limits, of course. Naturally, we are talking about garbage residues, because from solid lumber we already create many useful things in the country.

  • So, if a thin rail remains, it can go to the boxes, as, in principle, a small-sized board with a bar;
  • Cuttings of furniture panels, for example, from a press, will be excellent containers for vertical gardening;
  • Larger boards can be sanded and cut into kitchen utensils - planks for cutting and cutting, coasters for hot;
  • Naturally, if there are good quality materials, they will always fit for country furniture - shelves and racks, small stools and chairs, shoe stands, etc.;
  • It is worth noting that sawdust also brings benefits in the country, but all our readers know this very well.

A lot of interesting things can be made from wood, and therefore you should not throw away any of its remains.

If among the readers there are masters of wood carving, they will find another original use for all materials!

Useful scraps of OSB boards and plywood

Construction debris obtained from these materials will be a godsend for people with imagination.

But whatever you come up with, we also have ideas:

  • A birdhouse and a house for a squirrel are the first things that come to mind!
  • Further, feeders for birds and even for animals, where the material will serve as the base of the roof;
  • OSB and plywood scraps can turn into pretty good boxes for storing food and non-food products, a variety of bulk;
  • An interesting idea is the use of pieces of plywood and slabs to create formwork in the construction of small architectural forms;
  • Such garbage can also participate in the production of country furniture, along with lumber, which was discussed above;
  • If a jigsaw is available, you can always cut original garden figures or their fragments from the remnants of materials.

Using old polyethylene

In addition, anything can be covered with old film ... the same heaps of sand for construction, stacks of bricks or decorative tiles for arranging summer cottages, bulk materials, feed. One has only to fold it several times, and even an old and worn plastic film will become a good protection against moisture.

It will also find excellent application in capital construction. The film can cover foundations and only flooded areas so that the concrete does not dry out and crack in the sun.

In the issue with the film, we have moved a little away from the main topic of crafts and the remains of building materials, but now we are returning to it.

Foamed insulation: using scraps in the country

Most often, such materials are applicable before the New Year holidays, since snowflakes and stars of various shapes can be easily cut from them. But often they can be used for standard room decoration.

One side of such material is foil or coated with a reflective material. I mean, she's shiny. This makes it possible to create bright figures that will transfer sun glare to walls, floors and ceilings. Such crafts look especially interesting in limbo, on a fishing line or thread.

Most often, all work on thermal insulation, where such materials are used, occurs with insulation foiled on one side. But if you want the object to be double sided, you can cut out two mirrored shapes and glue them back together. Then the star, snowflake or figurine will shine on both sides.

Savvy summer residents also find many other uses for penofol, for example, they additionally insulate greenhouses on the sides, make small portable refrigerators with their own hands, simply by sewing the material inside onto the walls of a small box. But the most fun use is the sewing of children's costumes and their various elements from the material.

DIY crafts for giving (video)

Remains of plastic, polycarbonate, acrylic

  • First of all, various flashlights come to mind. We have studied with you a lot of lighting options for the garden and the dacha area, and therefore it will be easy for you to come up with lanterns and lamps made of plastic and polycarbonate, especially if the trimmings of the materials are colored;
  • Colored plastic and polycarbonate with shades in the decor of the fence look very good. Somehow we have already raised a similar topic and even showed you photos of similar fence decorations;
  • Small scraps of acrylic can be used to make boxes and chests that can perform both decorative and household functions;
  • In addition, these materials can fully participate in the production of garden figures. Combining wood, steel, plastic and other materials, you can make garden gnomes, fairy-tale castles, and various animals with your own hands.

Remains and brick fight

We use construction waste of a similar plan as a filling of the territory and materials for leveling pits. But today we propose to think about more useful structures.

  • These can be the same fabulous castles of a decorative nature, located in the garden, in which the brick will act as a base;
  • In addition, small lamp columns can be built from bricks;
  • The building material will also find application in the production of heavier and capital furniture, for example, as a base for benches or even under a table in a new gazebo.

What to do with PVC plastic panels

Sheathing of walls and ceilings, various buildings outside and inside with plastic is a fairly popular process for ennobling a summer residence. But, in view of the low cost of the material, or for reasons of incorrect calculation, we often buy PVC panels with a margin. Then, when the material remains, we think for a long time where it can still come in handy.

We have already mentioned certain options before, but there are more interesting ideas:

  • A miniature fence made of PVC panels will last for several years until the material deteriorates due to the influence of atmospheric phenomena;
  • The material is also excellent for delimiting garden beds, flower beds. It turns out a multi-colored and very colorful decor;
  • If we return to country crafts, then plastic can become the roof of small garden buildings, be used as gutters for collecting rainwater, even represent simple, but quite attractive shutters for the windows of a country house, if you combine panels with wooden beams.

Bulk mixtures and the use of their residues

It can be either a few scoops in a bag, or a whole bag of material. Naturally, such material will not disappear in the country - grease, repair cracks, repair garden paths and so on.

But you can use mixtures for decorative purposes, for a wide variety of crafts.

  • We have already talked about how to produce decorative blocks for walls with the simplest, even home-made forms;
  • Also, they told you how to make a cement drinker, quickly and quite simply;
  • But you can turn on your imagination, pick up special molds and pour out whole figures for the garden, which can easily last up to ten years even under the worst conditions on the street. It is only necessary to process the finished crafts with protective paints, which will give a brighter look.

Remains of ceramic tiles and mosaics

They say that materials of this kind in the country are indispensable, but mainly in economic terms.

  • The rest of the tile can be used to trim the basement of the house to protect it from external influences;
  • The same material can cover a new blind area;
  • If there are very few tiles, and it represents a battle, then it, like a mosaic, should be moved to the garden. Here, with pieces of multi-colored, glossy and with various patterns of material, you can decorate garden figures. For example, you are making a garden gnome ... so now it is not necessary to paint it, you can decorate it with tile pieces. The turtle from the leftover cement in the garden will receive an exclusive shell in the same way. Tiles or mosaics will serve as an unsurpassed finish and a small decorative pond in the country.

We have hundreds more tips in our arsenal, but we just can't put them all in one article. We have mentioned almost all the popular materials used in the country, and now you just have to focus on the fact that not everything should be immediately thrown into the trash, because any piece or scrap can be useful.

Crafts from building materials and the beneficial use of construction waste are interesting and popular topics. Thousands of summer residents across the country every day come up with incredible decor from metal and wood, the remains of foam and paint, polyethylene scraps and dry mixes. So why don't we give it a try? We are sure that with our experience crafts will turn out no worse!

After the repair, scraps, damaged blanks, just excess materials remain. They usually wander from place to place for some time, waiting in the wings, or simply go to the trash heap. How to put them into action?

Homemade shelves for household appliances

Given the fact that in my office some things did not have a permanent place of residence, I decided to use the waste to make homemade shelves.

First I made a sketch. What for?

  1. Firstly, life experience taught me: it is better to think through everything in advance before making a shelf with your own hands.
  2. Secondly, you need to clarify the dimensions of the future shelf for these specific items (teapot and microwave oven).
  3. Thirdly, since I did everything from leftovers, I had to try to find the right scraps, both in size and quantity.

The result of creative efforts is shown in the figure below. Since I made the sketch for myself, I apologize to the reader for the readability of my creation. The content of the sketch: the dimensions of the oven, the dimensions of the teapot stand are indicated, the general dimensions of the shelf are indicated, approximately the necessary materials and parts are indicated, their quantity.

The finished shelf for the kettle and microwave oven is in the photo below. Compare how the actual design differs from the sketch.

The main stages and features of the manufacture of a homemade shelf

Homemade shelves can be made on the basis of corner structures attached to the wall with self-tapping screws. The welded structure can be replaced with wooden blocks, wall brackets, etc. As load-bearing shelves (supports) for the kettle and stove, I used trimmings from plastic window sills. There were no other, more durable materials among the available remains.

Wooden cross bars are installed for the sole purpose of hiding the metalwork and slightly ennobling the appearance of the shelf through the use of scraps of plastic wall panels.

Since both items for which the shelf was intended are volatile, I built my own socket group into the shelf. To install the outlet, I needed a piece of metal profile from drywall. The main features of the manufacture of a home-made electrical household shelf are in the photo below.

The general appearance of the shelf and its placement in the office:

It is logical to assume that if there is a kettle and an oven, then there must be tea (coffee) accessories, such as tea utensils, the products themselves (tea, coffee, sugar, etc.), which also need to be stored somewhere. Since the place for electrical appliances is determined, then the place for storing "accessories" should be located nearby.

Thus, the next idea was born.

Do-it-yourself hinged kitchen shelf

In the opposite corner of the window, I decided to make a shelf for tea and coffee accessories. The essence of the idea: when installed, the window sill is shifted to the right of the window, to the wall. As a result, in the right corner of the room, which is hidden by the refrigerator, a small shelf was obtained due to the window sill.

The lower additional shelf is made from cut-to-size plastic window sills. The sections of the wall adjacent to the shelf, for aesthetic and sanitary reasons, are trimmed with trimmings of wall panels in the color of the window slopes. It turned out quite an original design that fits into the overall interior.

Since the shelf is not noticeable at first and is made quite compactly, the items stored in it do not clutter up the room. Separately, I would like to talk about the tray, because the thing turned out to be quite convenient to use (transfer a cup of tea, make a sandwich, etc.).

The tray is made of trimming a wall plastic panel, a starting profile and a plastic corner. From above, for convenience, the plastic panel is covered with a piece of linoleum.

DIY shoe rack

I have two sets of shoe-shine accessories (brush and cream) in different colors in my office. I decided to make auxiliary, where they can be stored. The algorithm of work is in the photo below. Of the features, the following can be noted.

  1. Sliding doors for shelves are made from scraps of PVC panels and two starting and one T-shaped strips as guides. Sliding door handles are perforated holes with a diameter of 28 mm.
  2. I decided to use the upper part of the shoe shelf as a flower stand. To do this, I used a piece of plastic window sill. In addition, I slightly ennobled the very corner of the room with scraps of wall panels. The main stages of work are in the photo below.
