Foundation preparation

HIDROSTOP 94 should be applied on well-established bases made of concrete grade not less than M 150, masonry without segregation, weakened places. Large irregularities, potholes, chips, cracks should be repaired using the BETONPROTEKT material system. Actively flowing cracks, damage, segregation pockets should be preliminarily repaired with HIDROZAT quick-setting compound. The base must be even, solid, free from dirt, dust, grease stains, oil, water-based and paint layers. Exceptionally smooth surfaces should be sanded or sandblasted. Joints of horizontal and vertical surfaces should be rounded (R 30-50 mm) with HIDROSTOP KIT quick-setting compound or glued with KEMABAND waterproofing elements. Before applying the compositions, moisten the surface abundantly until completely saturated with water, remove excess water, the surface should not have a wet sheen.

Preparing the mixture

Pour the contents of the bag into a container with a measured amount of water, select the amount of water based on the method of application (grater, brush, sprayer for viscous compositions) at least 5.5 liters. but not more than 6.5 liters. Stir with a mixer at low speed until a homogeneous mass is obtained. Secondary mixing is carried out after 5 minutes. Prepare the amount of the composition that is supposed to be consumed within 1 hour. During operation, mix the solution in order to maintain a uniform consistency.
Do not add water during operation.

Mode of application

Apply the prepared mortar by hand using a brush or a soft brush in two layers 1-2 mm thick each. Apply the composition to the surface without gaps and gaps with a brush movement in one direction. The direction of application of the second layer is perpendicular to the direction of application of the first. If a smooth surface is required, apply a third coat with a smooth metal trowel. When using an air sprayer for viscous compositions, apply the solution on the base in two layers 1-2 mm thick each, without gaps and gaps. Iron each layer with a soft brush in mutually perpendicular directions. If necessary, to obtain a smooth surface, level the third layer with a smooth metal float. Apply the layers using the wet-on-wet method after the previous layer has gained initial strength but before it dries. If it is not possible to apply a subsequent coat using the "wet on wet" method, dampen the surface thoroughly before application. Protect the applied composition from rapid drying. Further work on the bases treated with a waterproofing compound should be carried out no earlier than after 72 hours.

Restrictions

• Use only the recommended amount of water.

Material consumption

The consumption of dry mix HIDROSTOP 94 is 1.5 kg per 1 mm/thickness, 3-4 kg/m² in two coats (thickness 2 mm).

Tool

Packing, transportation and storage

HIDROSTOP 94 is packed in paper bags with a capacity of 25 kg, transported on pallets (no more than 6 rows in height) by all types of covered vehicles that protect packages with a dry mixture from moisture and pollution, in accordance with the Rules for the transport of goods in force for this type transport. Methods of transportation should protect the packages with the mixture from mechanical damage. HIDROSTOP 94 must be stored in a dry place in the manufacturer's packaging. At ambient temperatures above +30ºС, it is recommended to protect the package from direct sunlight. When storing packages with dry mix HIDROSTOP 94, to protect against moisture, they are placed on wooden pallets at a distance of 15 cm from the ground in rows, no more than 6 rows in height. When storing at a great height, it is necessary to provide for measures to prevent rupture (break) of the package. Pallets with bags must be covered with a dense plastic film for the entire storage period.

Floor application

First of all, you need to apply waterproofing to the junction of the floor and walls. Install the corner tape on the newly applied hydrostop layer. After that, the entire surface must be covered with the composition and left to dry for two hours until the color changes. Then you need to apply a second layer and leave to dry for four hours. Check the uniformity and tightness of the layer. Leave before facing for eight hours.

It does not shrink and, depending on the temperature of the water, sets within 1 to 3 minutes. The material is supplied in powder form, to obtain a mixture it is only necessary to add water.

APPLICATION

• For immediate repair of active leaks.

APPLICATION

Sealing leaks

The place of leakage (crack, hole, etc.) must be embroidered under a cone so that its top is closer to the surface, and the base is at a depth of 2-3 cm from the surface.

HYDROSTOP is gradually added to the water and quickly mixed until a mass is formed, similar in consistency to wet clay. Then, from the finished solution, mold a pyramid and put it with its base on the palm of your hand. The “pyramid” must be pressed with force into a crack or hole and held for about 1 minute until it becomes solid. As you do this, you will feel the solution heat up. The setting time can be increased by using cold water to prepare the solution.

It is more convenient to apply the specified material in small parts - 100-500 g each.

To prepare the composition, it is best to use an elastic container made of polymeric material with a volume of not more than 1 liter, which has a rounded shape. For this purpose, a small rubber ball cut in half is quite suitable.

In the case of work at elevated air temperatures in the working area, cold water or ice should be used to cool the water.

In the case of work at air temperatures of the working area close to 0 ° C, warm water should be used.

Approximately 1.6 kg of HYDROSTOP are required to fill a cavity with a volume of 1 dm3.

TRANSPORTATION
