Mounting for frames on the wall. Scotch tape, masking tape and pins, which attach objects to the wallpaper. Frames with a repeating story

There are situations when you really need to hang a picture on the wall without nails and drilling: for example, the apartment is rented, you don’t want to spoil the wall with holes, disturb the neighbors, or just your husband is not at home. It was then that very simple and effective ways come to our aid that will help you hang a picture, panel, poster or photo on the wall without using a drill. Choose which one you like best!

1. How to hang a picture on the wall without drilling the wall: paperclip or clothes hook

If you have wallpaper on your wall, make a small horizontal cut in it, fill it with superglue and place a paper clip bent into the shape of a hook or a regular clothes hook, and then cover the cut with wallpaper. Step-by-step instructions for "implanting" paper clips in wallpaper can be read .

2. Button

This method is similar to the previous one. Here, too, the base itself is “hidden under the wallpaper” and glued, and the protruding part acts as a carnation, on which you can hang a not very heavy picture. In the video below you can see how to effectively hide the base of the button behind the wallpaper.

3. Spider hook

In the hardware store you can buy a special device called a "spider hook": o but it has four pointed ends, which are well fastened to the wall with a hammer and leave practically no marks on it.This hook is secureon any wall, you can hang a picture or a frame weighing up to 2 kg on it.

4. Needle

Another way to place light paintings is to stick a sewing needle into the wall. For example, you can gently drive into the wallpaper at an angle a tailor's pin with a head. Another option: break off the eye of a sewing needle with pliers and simply drive it into the wall with a sharp end. Thus, the hole in the wall is small and inconspicuous, unlike nails or screws. At the same time, withama needle, steel and durable, securely holds the frame.

5. Double sided tape

This method is suitable for walls with thin paper wallpaper or drywall partitions. Just stick ordinary double-sided tape on the edges of the frame and attach it to the wall. True, the disadvantage of this method is that the adhesive tape can leave marks on the wall; to prevent this from happening, it is recommended to keep the adhesive tape under Globe 90 degrees in relation to the wall when removing the picture.

6. Velcro Command

The special technology of Command Velcro allows you to glue them on almost any surface and easily hang pictures weighing up to 2 kg on them. The advantage of Velcro of this brand is that they can be easily removed without damaging the walls. They are sold as a set of several strips: one strip is glued to the frame, the other to the wall. The more stripes, the heavier the picture can be.

7. Liquid nails

Liquid nails are a special adhesive that securely connects surfaces. Just apply liquid nails to the back of the frame in small dots (if the picture is heavy, you can smear the entire frame). Then press the picture evenly against the wall surface and hold for a few seconds.

8. Polymer adhesive

Polymer glue is convenient in that it does not leave behind greasy marks. The principle is the same as with liquid nails: we glue the heavy picture around the entire perimeter, and the light picture only along the edges. For better adhesion to the surface, the frame must be firmly pressed and even left for a day, propped up with something.

9. Wine cork

The wine cork is cut into circles about 1 cm thick and glued to the wall with quick-drying glue (Moment or BF-2 glue). After the glue dries, a small carnation is stuck into this cork, on which the picture is hung.

From time to time we need to complement the interior of our room with decorations. For the walls, these can be posters or pictures on paper, letters, certificates, garlands for the new year, or even some notes.

Garland on paper wallpaper

How to attach them to the wallpaper so as not to spoil the wallpaper, because in some cases their texture is very delicate. For example, wallpaper with acrylic foam, where the top layer of sequins frankly stay on parole. Of course, there are several good ways.

Adhesive materials

Krepp is an abbreviation for masking tape, also known as paper tape. Paper tape has a very adhesive inner surface that does not transfer adhesive to other materials.

When tearing off the used crepe from the wallpaper, it does not leave any marks even on ultra-sensitive surfaces. Masking tape is actively used in hardware stores for packaging.

It is strongly not recommended to use classic adhesive tape for gluing decorations on wallpaper, as it spoils the decorative coating and looks frankly bad.

The photos are glued on a transparent adhesive tape with a pattern.

If you have double-sided tape available, then it can be used for extra-strong heavy wallpaper with increased wear resistance. , hot embossed vinyl wallpapers are not afraid of contact with this type of adhesive materials.

But paper wallpapers will be spoiled by double-sided tape, even a weak foam version of its execution.

On sale there are sticky masses similar to plasticine. They leave no marks and can be used to attach various items to the wall. For example, blue-tech from the Kelid brand.

Blue-tech resembles plasticine, but does not leave greasy marks

Piercing agents

If you are ready to slightly damage the wallpaper, but taking into account that this damage is not visible, it is recommended to use English needles or pins. These thin sharp skewers will allow you to pierce decoration, wallpaper and fix them on the wall.
Pin damage will be so slight that it won't be visible.

These needles are perfect for fixing decorations on wallpaper

But if you try to fix, for example, posters with buttons, you will encounter certain difficulties. Since, unlike a needle, the button does not enter obliquely, but strictly perpendicularly, it frankly spoils the wallpaper and does not stick into a solid wall.

You should be careful about the number of sharp pins you use to prevent them from being left in the wall or on the floor. You should not scatter around the apartment such objects that can hurt you.

Types of wallpaper

It is clear that not every type of wallpaper will be able to keep foreign objects on its texture. If we go through the types of wallpaper ready for decoration, we get the following picture.

  • Almost all paper wallpapers have a very delicate and quickly deteriorating texture. The exception here is duplex, but when using ordinary adhesive tape, it is easy to tear off the decorative layer from it.
  • Vinyl wallpapers are much stronger and ready for foreign objects. Here we will exclude those that have a texture similar to acrylic foam on paper. Destroying foamed and loose vinyl is easy.
  • Textile wallpapers have a wear-resistant surface and are not afraid of contact with glue. If there is a pile, then it is tightly attached to the base and does not tear out.
  • Non-woven wallpaper for painting and glass wallpaper will not be able to hold pins, but masking tape is easily glued to them.

Large poster in the children's room

The judicious use of fixing materials will allow you to keep the wallpaper in good condition. If you have children, attach decorations to the wallpaper, taking into account their characteristics.

During the period of ancient Soviet history, there was only one way to hang a picture on the wall. For its implementation, a man was required. And a hammer. Why a man? Well, simply because a woman does not want to get a hammer on her fingers, but a man seems to be used to it. Then there was a lot of persuasion, a lot of noise (after all, sometimes you can’t overcome a wall without a drill), a lot of stories about how to hang a picture correctly, even sometimes obscene expressions. And most importantly - a lot of concrete dust, which the man never cleaned up after himself. The years have passed not in vain, now the woman will cope with this task herself. Moreover, it will do the job quickly, accurately and smoothly.

For light paintings

The easiest (school) way is to use pins or push pins. The pins cling to the wallpaper, leaving behind the thinnest hole, and the buttons are equally easy to attach to the wallpaper and to the painted plasterboard wall.

One minus: only posters and drawings can be hung in this way. Let's make a reservation right away: a concrete wall cannot be overcome with a button.

Double-sided tape

Hanging a lightweight A4 size painting on the wall without drilling is pretty easy. Double-sided tape will help you with this. Almost the most common. Just make sure it's fabric-based, as it can hold more weight.

This method is very popular on plasterboard walls, which are sensitive to any violation of the integrity of the surface.

With the right approach, neither pasting nor removing tape will spoil the color or wallpaper. A word of advice: you need to remove the adhesive tape without a trace at an angle of 90 degrees. That is, the corner that you have already peeled off must be kept at a specified angle in relation to the wall.

Hook glued to the wall

If you do not know how to hang a picture weighing about 1 kilogram, take a hook without decorative ornaments. We align the metal base so that it fits as close as possible to the wall.

We glue the hook on the wall and hide the base behind a piece of matching wallpaper. Only the loop remains visible, on which it is easy to hang what you want.

Spider Hook

This simple device is sold in stores. Instead of a screw, which is indispensable without drilling, the hook is attached using four sharp metal "legs", clinging to the wall with them.

After dismantling it, 4 small holes remain, which you just need to rub with your finger to eliminate. On such a hook, you can hang a frame already weighing up to 2 kilograms.

sewing needle

An unusual but effective method. From the sewing needle (it is steel and durable), we bite off the ear with pliers, drive the needle into the wall with a sharp end. And without nails, and almost no traces remain, and it is easy to hang a picture

Second approach. For centuries

  • Liquid Nails. We remember that we are looking for a way to hang a picture without nails, but this is one of the varieties of glue. It is suitable for a situation in which two uneven surfaces need to be firmly glued to each other. A picture on "liquid nails" can be hung in the bedroom above your head (not scary) and in the kitchen (it will not fall from dampness). You can also hang a heavy picture on the wall in this way, but it will hang there for a long time.
  • polymer glue. It, unlike silicone, does not leave greasy marks. We glue the heavy product around the perimeter, the light one - according to the mood. You need to press a little and leave it overnight, propping it up with a stick or mop
  • Foam double sided tape. Will not stick to textured wallpaper. Such adhesive tape is glued to the wall, not to the frame. Mark out the place where your artwork will hang, and then stick strips of tape there. When you press them well against the wall, remove the protective top layer and press the picture.

Professional approach

If you do not like life stories and you are used to using ready-made solutions. If you decide how to hang a picture on the wall with a minimum of effort. If your wall is flat and not covered with textured wallpaper. Try the Command system - correctly and quickly.

These are special Velcro for paintings that do not damage the walls and do not leave traces afterwards. The whole operation will take a few minutes. What kits are sold in:

One part of the Velcro is glued to the wall, and the other to the picture. Then these parts are connected, securely fixing the picture in its place.
