Master class: Lily-of-the-valley decor. How to care for aspidistra, watering, propagation and treatment of the "iron lady" Diseases and main pests

The main feature of the proposed bouquet is the use of notebook sheets and ballpoint pens. Such a move helps to beat school everyday life, both for the student and the teacher.

If you decide to opt for hydrangeas, then you should consider that this plant quickly loses its appearance in the absence of water. Therefore, to preserve the freshness of the flower, you need to put test tubes with water on the stems. These tubes are easy to find in one of the florist shops.

1 Let's start preparing the necessary accessories for the bouquet. We take notebook sheets and twist the pounds out of them. Then we fasten them to the wire with adhesive tape. We do the same manipulations with ballpoint pens.

2 Aspidistra leaves curl as shown in the picture. To do this, you need to carefully break through the hole along the main core in the middle of the sheet. The length of the hole is 5 - 7 cm. Why the sheet is turned inside out and the curl is fastened with a stapler. You can also tear the sheet from its middle part to the end, and wrap each half separately.

If there is no natural aspidistra. instead, you can use aspidistra tape (it is an imitation of a natural aspidistra leaf).

3 Now let's start assembling the bouquet. We supplement the hydrangea branch with two or three branches of salau.

4 We take one or two branches of alstroemeria and apply it in a spiral.

5 We do the same with the skimya and with the wrapped leaves of the aspidistra.

6 Now we need to add the gerberas. In order for their stems to remain intact, they must be combined with gerbera wire or anchor tape. Gerbera is located in the composition of the bouquet, being at the vertices of a regular triangle. In this case, two flowers are side by side, on the same straight line, and the third flower is located opposite them, at the top of the triangle.

7 Now, in the desired order, add the remaining leaves and flowers.

8 We attach accessories, they can be distributed throughout the bouquet at your discretion. The wires on which the ballpoint pens are attached can be inserted at any time, even after the bouquet is wrapped. After all, then it will be even clearer where the wires should be inserted in order for ballpoint pens to have the most spectacular look.

9 The bouquet must be fastened using a technical cord or twine. The knot is tightened strongly enough, so the bouquet will hold well and will not crumble.

10 The tips of the stems are trimmed with secateurs, about 1/3 of the entire length of the bouquet should fall on the legs.

11 Now we produce packaging. Open the middle of the notebook and take two spreads. We glue them together so that the width of the gluing part does not exceed one and a half centimeters. In total, two or three such double sheets will need to be prepared. The number of sheets depends on the size of the bouquet we receive.

Leaves are treated with leaf gloss.

12 Each sheet must be folded diagonally. All corners must be at the same distance. We make an incision in the middle of complex sheets, so the packaging will better fit our bouquet. The incision should be about 5 cm long.

13 The sheets must be attached to the bouquet, while their corners are combined with each other. We fasten the sheets with a stapler, so they will not diverge.

14 The resulting package must be tied with technical tape, twine or tape. The tape should hold the package well on the bouquet.

15 If you have a desire, you can assemble a kind of skirt for your bouquet from individual spreads of sheets, which will hide the lower parts of the stems. But you can also leave them open, then the stems can stand steadily in a vase filled with water. One way or another, the packaging in which the lower part of the bouquet is wrapped will need to be removed, because the paper should not soak in water.

16 The resulting bouquet should be tied with a beautiful ribbon.

Application, how and where aspidistra is used, aspidistra tape:

What is aspidistra, how is aspidistra or aspdistra correct?

The genus name comes from the Greek words aspis - shield and astron - star: probably due to the shape of the stigma. About 8 species of evergreen herbaceous rhizomatous perennials common in East Asia. Here are some of them: Aspidistra high - Aspidistra elatior Blume (Aspidistra lurida hort. non Ker-Gawl.). Lily family. Homeland - Japan, South China. Translated into Russian, the name means "pointer to snakes." Probably, at home, this plant gave shelter to snakes. And the gray curved rhizome of the aspidistra resembles a snake. Due to the large number of densely growing basal leaves, the plant is also called the "friendly family". In culture, the garden form of Aspidistra Variegata is often found - with leaves covered with white and cream stripes. Cream stripes are easily lost if the rhizomes are not properly divided. Another reason is too much food, which causes the "greening" of the variegated form. Therefore, variegated plants practically do not fertilize. Leaf blades are wide, leathery, dark green, with a high content of chlorophyll, petioles are long. A richly branched rhizome hides underground. Each green leaf belongs to a separate vertical shoot. Some varieties have white and yellow stripes on the leaves. In aspidistra, both leaves and flowers grow directly from the rhizome, which is a modified stem.

  • widely used in floristry to imitate the leaves of live freshly cut plants;
  • can also be used as an additional unusual accessory for decorative gift wrapping in the form of a ribbon;
  • widely used in candy floristry to create the effect of natural greenery;
  • leaves of any shape can be cut from the aspidistra leaf ribbon, as far as the width of the ribbon web allows: from imitation of small lingonberry, eucalyptus leaves to large ficus or palm leaves.

I present to you a very simple way to make a stylized lily of the valley branch. I am fond of suite design, and I needed such branches to decorate bouquets and baskets of candy flowers. I don’t pretend to the proud name of LILY OF THE VALLEY, just a similar view. It's easy to make and looks great!

To work with materials you will need:

  • -artificial aspidistra (the one in the reel. Sold in floristic accessories or packaging stores)
  • -artificial bergrass (green plastic grass in the form of a bunch. I bought it in a flower shop in the artificial flowers department)
  • -toothpicks
  • - beads of different diameters of the same color (from a sewing store)
  • -double-sided tape (I buy at a hardware store)
  • - green teip tape (sold in stores with floristic accessories)

Of the tools, only scissors are useful.

We get to work and cut off one blade of grass from a bunch of bergrass. You should pay attention to the fact that the blade of grass is bent along its length and has an angle. It is important. Then I'll show you and tell you why.

Beads of snow-white color (No. 0106) and a diameter of 10, 6, 5, 4 mm. The size in mm is not important, the main thing is that the beads go in descending order. I advise you not to take more than 10 mm, since most likely such large beads will not be fixed on a blade of grass. Instead of 10 mm, 8 mm is suitable.

For one branch I take:

1 bead 10mm
2 beads 6mm
2 beads 5mm
3 beads 4mm

For convenience, pour beads of all sizes into a plate and then take them with your hands.

Here is an example of workplace preparation.

We string the largest bead through the narrow edge of the blade of grass to the place where it will sit firmly, not crawl. There is a problem with this bead, because it itself has a large hole inside, and sometimes the bead does not want to stop in any place. In this case, you should flatten the blade of grass with your fingers in the place where the bead should stop, that is, smooth out the corner existing on the blade of grass. Most often there are no problems, I am reinsured.

Further is easier. Smaller diameter beads have small holes inside, and they stop on a blade of grass in the place where you tell them. They are held "out of the way" and do not fall, but can be moved with the fingers. Here are 2 more beads strung...

Then 2 more, smaller diameter ..

And EVERYONE is sitting on a branch! Make the distance between the beads as you wish. I did more and less, still beautiful!

Now we cut off the extra tail of the blade of grass with scissors, leaving a margin of 2-3 cm. Set aside the cut end of the blade of grass, do not throw it away.

We cut this stock along the corner of the blade of grass to the bead.

And with a scissors blade we twist first one tendril, then the other MANDATORY from the side of the convex corner of the blade of grass. It has been experimentally proven that from the side of the concave angle, the antennae do not twist, but immediately come off!

It may be written difficult, but in fact everything is easy and everything is clear, WHAT is what. It turns out here is such a branch.

Let's get to the leaf. Lilies of the valley have a wide and large leaf. But we don’t need it, because we are making a SIMILAR appearance, so we cut out from an artificial aspidistra a narrow leaf, pointed on both sides, the size of our branch from a large bead to a tail.

And glue it on a piece of double-sided tape measuring about 1cm in height and 2cm in length.

We also attach a twig, trying on where to cut off the excess.

Having cut off the unnecessary lower edge of the blade of grass with scissors, we apply a toothpick to the edge of the adhesive tape and begin to twist all the details together inward.

Again, it has been experimentally established that the leaf at the bottom, when cutting out the workpiece, should be very narrowed, and be slightly wider than a blade of grass.

Then, after twisting the adhesive tape, it will be able to bend back, which is much more beautiful than a leaf stuck to a branch and standing upright (this happens when the leaf is wide at the base).

In this photo, the perfect leaf is perfectly rolled up with tape. Next, with a small piece of green teip tape, we hide the white tape, taping around the toothpick.

Here is such a branch of a lily-of-the-valley flower as a result.

He's kind of fabulous!

Remember, we put aside the cut off thin tails of blades of grass? We collect them in a bunch of 6-8 pieces, put them into a large bead and use hot glue to fix the inside of the bead on a toothpick. We twist the tips and get sultans-fountains for decoration! They will fit perfectly into the bouquet.

Flowers can be made not only white. On the right, champagne-colored beads are used.

And instead of an aspidistra, plastic blades of an unknown artificial flower were used for the leaf. And the largest bead here is only 8 mm! Looks good too.

They are so different, but they are all very beautiful! You can make a few things and put them in a vase, and I use these branches in bouquets.

In this competition work, champagne-colored lilies of the valley were used...

And on the handle of this basket are white.

And like this inside the basket, in the bouquet itself.

I will be glad if my knowledge and experience is useful to someone! Thank you for your visit!
