We find out why trees shed their leaves before winter:

We study the shape of the leaves and learn to determine which tree they belong to. It is good if it is possible to compare images of leaflets with a real herbarium and determine their appearance. Then, according to the color of natural leaves, we give color to the painted ones.
We plunge into natural history: we talk about what substances give color to the foliage and what they mean. Green - chlorophyll, it allows you to get nutrients from water and sunlight. Red and yellow are special pigments that are found in leaves in summer, but in autumn, when the amount of sunlight decreases, they displace chlorophyll, since it does not form new molecules.

How to get the desired shade of color
Along the way, we analyze the methods of mixing paints:
- Red and yellow - give orange;
- Red and green - brown;
- Blue and yellow - green.
We find out which shades are basic (blue, yellow and red). We exclude a shade that is not characteristic of foliage (blue). We experiment with the remaining colors, coloring the leaves on the coloring book with them, mixing in different proportions (we use paint for work).
