Vase from cardboard tubes. Do-it-yourself vase from a pipe from linoleum. Decorating options for a purchased floor vase

Today, only lazy people do not improve the design of their home. Fashion trends allow satisfying the most sophisticated tastes of demanding consumers. At the same time, at all times there was a demand for decorating the interior with high floor vases. However, their affordability does not always coincide with the desired appearance. Like any other thing, a floor vase can be made by hand. Such a beauty will be in the desired shape, and in the desired color scheme, and much cheaper than their store counterparts.
Materials for work:
Glass jar with a capacity of 3 liters - 2 pcs.;
Tea saucer - 1 pc.;
Plastic container from preserves - 1 pc.;
Silicone sealant - 1 bottle;
PVA glue liquid (construction) - 1 liter;
Building alabaster - 4 tablespoons;
Potato starch - 100 gr.;
Egg lattices - 4 pcs.;
Vegetable oil - 1 tbsp;
Vaseline - 1 tbsp;
Three-layer napkins - 2 pcs.;
Plasticine - 1 box;
Old tube of PVA glue with a narrow nose - 1 pc.;
Glue "liquid nails", white and "gold" paints, blush, eye shadow, face powder, brush, colorless acrylic varnish, water.

Stages of work:
The first stage: we form the basis.
We turn one jar upside down and glue “liquid nails” to it a tea saucer turned upside down.

Glue the bottom of the second can to the bottom of the same can.

Cut off the bottom of the canning container. We glue the inverted container to the neck of the second jar.

Let the base dry for 1 day.

The second stage: we give the vase the outline of the vessel.
Finely chop the egg racks.

Fill with water so that the entire torn mass is immersed in it. We leave for the night.

We wring out the soaked grids.

Tear off large pieces. Fill the whole mass with PVA glue.

Thoroughly, until a homogeneous gruel is obtained, mix the soaked grates.

We fill the space between the neck of the jar and the container with the egg mass.

Apply a thin layer of egg mass over the entire surface of the jars.

We dry the base for 2 days.

We paint white.

The third stage: we apply a three-dimensional drawing.
Print your favorite stencil.

We make cuts along the contours, cut out the necessary points.

We place the drawing on the vessel in a checkerboard pattern in a straight and inverted form (2 times above, 2 times below; top and bottom facing each other).

Draw voids and cuts with a pencil.

Squeeze silicone sealant into an empty PVA tube.

We put a sharp nose on the tube and squeeze the sealant along the contour of the picture.

If necessary, make adjustments with a toothpick.

Dry the sealant for 1 day.

With superficial movements with a large brush, we apply blush toning on the drawing.

Fourth step: make a silicone mold.
Mix potato starch and silicone sealant.

Thoroughly knead until a pasty mass is obtained.

We coat the surface of the figure blank (in this case, a magnet) with Vaseline.

Press the pastry into the flattened dough with the right side down.

Carefully prying with a knife, we take out the workpiece.

Fifth stage: casting the figures.
Lubricate the inside of the silicone mold with vegetable oil (pour it in, then turn the mold over and pour out the oil).

Pour a tablespoon of alabaster (or gypsum) into the container.

Add a spoonful of water there, mix. If the solution becomes thick, add water.

We fill the silicone mold with alabaster solution.

We leave the solution to harden (you can check the readiness by pressing the nail on the figure - the trace should not remain on the surface). We pry the figure with a knife and take it out of the mold.

We repeat the preparation of the solution and pouring 3 more times.

Sixth stage: paint the angels.
We paint over the blanks with white gouache.

The bodies of the angels are matted with face powder.

We dye our hair.

We draw sponges.

Draw the eyelids and eyebrows with a pen.

With white gouache we close the extra layer of powder (next to the bodies of the angels).

Draw the wings in gold.

We apply “liquid nails” on the back surface of the figurines and glue them on the vase.

Step 7: Make roses.
We knead the plasticine, lay it on a hard surface with a thin plate, cut it into squares. In each square we make cuts in a circle from the center.

Gently prying the central center, twist the spiral, moving from the center to the edge. We bend the square corners like large leaves.

We paint the roses white.

We tint them with blush in the color of the volumetric pattern.

The edges are gilded.

"Liquid nails" fasten the roses to the vase.

Floor vases made of cardboard. Master class from Tkachenko Nadezhda

My low bow and many thanks to the author of these works - Nadezhda Tkachenko! See what beauty can be made from a pipe from linoleum, cardboard and papier-mâché! Wow....

A useful little digression for anyone interested in traditional medicine, herbal medicine, Chinese medicine and everything that can support and restore health. I invite you to look at the site "Snadobie.com - recipes of nature" http://snadobie.com. Here you will find a lot of interesting things about apyrotherapy, learn about treatment with bee venom and other bee products. Here: eye treatment with decoctions, the benefits of the chiropractic method, flower medicines, light therapy and much more. Very useful site!

It all started with the fact that in the construction market I asked for a pipe from linoleum. The sellers were surprised, of course, and asked why they gave it to me. My son-in-law grumbled all the way that if we were spotted by traffic cops with pipes sticking out of the windows of the car, then these pipes would cost me dearly. But nothing, we safely reached the house and I began to implement a long-standing Wishlist.

We take a cardboard tube (from a linoleum roll), saw off the length we need (I have 65 cm). We thought about the form, I immediately drew a blank on cardboard.

I cut out a lot of these blanks. The bigger, the better. This is perhaps the most embarrassing moment in the whole job. I rubbed a callus on my hand with scissors.

Glue the pipe to the base. For the base, it is better to take fiberboard, not cardboard. But I learned this along the way.

I glue the blanks around the entire perimeter with hot glue.

now glued with newspaper strips. PVA glue.

When everything is dry, I coat it with a mass of papier-mâché.

I straighten and smooth.

I dried for a couple of days near the battery. Now I spread the putty (I have a finishing knauf), add a little PVA glue to it, and coat the vase.

After drying - skin with a knife. We do this procedure until the vase becomes even and smooth. I smeared and sanded three times.

I start decorating. Here paper art is perhaps my favorite technique. I never tire of thanking Tatyana Sorokina for her. stranamasterov.ru/node/308701?c=favorite . Athletes fashioned from Keraplast - a self-hardening plastic mass. Top and bottom covered with millet and peas.

Painted with black paint. Well, then I poked the whole thing with gold.

I pasted napkin motifs on this vase. Preliminary, of course, primed and covered with white acrylic. The pattern is putty + PVA.

I found such a tube in the medicine cabinet and applied putty with it. I finished it with acrylic paint, went over the patterns with bitumen, and wiped it off with a cloth moistened with white spirit. Covered with four layers of acrylic varnish, with intermediate sanding of the entire surface.

Well, here - already with a bouquet.

Beautiful decorative elements from simple things - a vase from a pipe with your own hands

Did you recently renovate and have a pile of rubbish left? Do not rush to put everything in bags and send it to the landfill. Perhaps you will find something useful for home decor. After all, you can stumble upon such useful items for crafts as plastic or paper pipes, the transformation of which I will tell you today.

We create original decorative elements

The disadvantage of such homemade vases is that they cannot be used for their intended purpose, especially if it is a do-it-yourself cardboard tube vase. Therefore, you can’t pour water into them and you can’t put fresh flowers. But do not be upset because of this, as these decor items are perfect for dried flowers or artificial bouquets.

Naturally, pipes are different: plastic, cardboard, metal. It is more convenient to work with cardboard elements, the most difficult thing is with metal ones. Now I will tell you about the process of creating vases from plastic and cardboard pipes.

We use pipes from linoleum (cardboard)

It is very convenient to create both desktop and floor high vases with your own hands from a pipe from linoleum, since the material is easy to process. Well, if during the repair you spent more than one roll of linoleum - this means that there is enough material to create several original vases. I suggest you familiarize yourself with several models of decorative elements made by yourself.

Lovely floor vase

For the basis of the future vase, you can take pipes from various materials, but in this embodiment, a pipe made of thick cardboard (from linoleum) is used. The height of the future vase depends on your wishes and preferences.

So, for work we need:

  • pipe;
  • thermal gun with rods;
  • base for a vase (a piece of fiberboard or OSB);
  • thick cardboard;
  • marker or pen;
  • scissors;
  • putty;
  • sandpaper;
  • PVA glue;
  • old newspapers;
  • acrylic lacquer.

After all the materials and fixtures are at hand, we get to work:

  1. Measure and cut a piece of cardboard tube to the desired size. From a sheet of fiberboard or OSB, cut a circle that will serve as the bottom for the vase. Glue the pipe to the base with a glue gun.
  2. Decide what shape your vase will be and make a template. Cut out stiffeners from cardboard. Ideally, there should be at least 25-30 pieces.

  1. Insert the glue stick into the heat gun and heat up the device. Start gluing cardboard blanks to the pipe.
  2. Glue all the cardboard pieces. Try to glue so that the distance between them is approximately the same. For convenience, you can make markings based on a vase.

  1. We glue the resulting frame with pieces of newspaper (papier-mâché technology). We dry the completely glued product for 2-3 days until the glue dries completely.
  2. We mix the putty with PVA to the state of thick sour cream, and proceed to the processing of our product. We apply a uniform layer of putty to the frame no thinner than 0.5 cm.

  1. Carefully coat the entire surface of the vase. We try to make the surface as flat as possible. We coat the neck no less carefully, we also process the inside of the product to a depth of 5-10 cm, as far as the hand can reach.
  2. We wait until the product dries (several days), after which we level the surface of the vase with fine sandpaper. We decorate at our discretion, paint, open with varnish.
  3. A wonderful decorative decoration for your apartment is ready. Enjoy the result of your work.

Floor vase "Ropes"

To create this decorative element, you will need:

  • pipe from linoleum;
  • plywood or thick cardboard;
  • small deep container;
  • twine (any, the main thing is not made of synthetic material);
  • PVA glue;
  • spray paint of the desired color, preferably acrylic (the price in Ukrainian stores is from 50 UAH and more).

Now I’ll tell you in detail about how such a floor vase is made from a pipe from linoleum. So let's get started:

  1. We take a pipe from cardboard, cut off a piece of the desired height. In the photo - a vase from a pipe, 60 cm high.
  2. For the base, cut out a circle from thick cardboard or plywood. We make the diameter of the circle 1-2 cm larger than the pipe itself. It is impossible to make a base of the same diameter as the pipe, since the vase can simply fall due to its height + weight of the flowers.
  3. We glue the base with universal glue or PVA.
  4. Pour glue into the container. We unwind the twine, completely dip it in glue and wait until it is saturated. It is undesirable to use synthetic twine, as it will not be saturated with glue and will not fix well on the product.

  1. We wrap the pipe with impregnated twine. If small gaps remain between the threads, it's okay, but it is advisable to wrap the tube completely.
  2. We leave the product for several days in a warm, dry place until the glue dries completely.
  3. Using a can of paint, paint the product. We work with spray paint outside the home: on the street or on an open balcony. Be sure to protect yourself with a respirator and rubber gloves.
  4. We enjoy the result.

I sincerely believe that detailed instructions will help you create amazing vases from linoleum pipes with your own hands. Do not be afraid to experiment and show imagination, because you can create amazing things from linoleum pipes.

Plastic pipes for colorful fakes

After repair, you have an unnecessary piece of plastic pipe, and you don’t know where to put it? They did the right thing by deciding to look for possible options for transforming this trinket.

Now I will show you what wonderful vases you can make from them. Still don't believe? Then look!

Vase with butterflies

Who would have thought that such beauty could be created from a piece of plastic pipe! No matter how it seems at first glance, even the materials for the most costly. So, let's start creating a vase.

I'll start the master class with a list of necessary materials:

  • plastic pipe;
  • plastic cover for the bottom;
  • PVA glue;
  • paper napkins;
  • medium-weight colored paper (any color);
  • satin ribbon, 3 cm wide;
  • black acrylic paint;
  • golden acrylic paint;
  • foam sponge;

Let's start creating the product:

  1. First, cut the pipe to the desired height. If the size of the pipe suits you, you do not need to cut anything.
  2. With the help of super glue we connect the main part to the bottom. We are waiting for the glue to hold the parts together well.
  3. We dilute PVA glue with water (quite a bit, for easy application), brush the surface with a brush. Quickly, before the glue dries, glue paper napkins.
  4. We wait until the first layer dries, grease it with glue and create a second layer of napkins.

  1. While the napkins are drying, cut out the blades of grass and butterflies. From colored paper, cut out blades of grass of different lengths. Cut out butterflies from the ribbon with sharp scissors.

Cutting butterflies from ribbon will be much easier if you use a cardboard stencil. To do this, put a stencil on the tape, circle around the contour and cut it out.

  1. When the layer of napkins has dried out and all the details are cut out, we proceed to attach them. We do this with PVA glue, but now we do not breed it. We glue the blades of grass with a slight slope, and place the butterflies in a chaotic manner.

  1. We are waiting for the product to dry completely. This may take 2-3 hours.
  2. We take black acrylic paint and carefully paint over the future vase. To avoid leaving unpainted areas, I recommend using spray paint.

If you will be using spray paint, it is best to work with it outside or on a well-ventilated balcony.

  1. And now, the product is almost ready, it remains only to add golden notes. To do this, take a golden liquid paint, pour a little into an unnecessary bowl and apply with dotted movements using a foam sponge. Be sure to leave a part of the black background, do not paint the product completely golden, but paint over everything with blades of grass (you can use a brush for this).

After the paint has dried, the decor item is completely ready for use. You can put it on a coffee table, nightstand or desktop. Such a creation will perfectly fit into the interior of your home.

Of course, it is better to put dried flowers or artificial flowers in such a vase, but you can also experiment. Try to use a good adhesive and sealant to connect the base pipe and the bottom. If everything works out, then it will be possible to pour water into such a vase and put fresh flowers.

Beautiful vase "Gifts of nature"

I want to suggest you try to make such a decorative vase, decorated with tree bark and decoupage elements. This outdoor piece can be a spectacular decoration for your living room or hallway. And with a bouquet of flowers inside, the look of the decorative element will noticeably change.

I want to immediately warn you that the creation of such beauty will take much more time than the previous model. Some elements and surfaces take a long time to dry. If you are planning to give this decorative element to someone, I recommend that you start creating it in advance, no later than 1.5-2 weeks before the desired date, so that the product is completely dry.

So, what you need to create such beauty:

  • plastic pipe (about 70 cm long);
  • PVA glue;
  • newspaper;
  • primer (any one you can find in the store);
  • bark of tree;
  • rope or rubber bands for money;
  • colored napkins for decoupage;
  • stickers (if not, you can print a color image on a regular sheet and cut it out);
  • gypsum;
  • acrylic paint;

Step-by-step instruction:

  1. We take the pipe, cut it to the desired size. The ideal height for a floor vase (if the pipe is weaving) is 60-70 cm. If you don’t need to change the height, leave everything as it is.
  2. We tear the newspaper into pieces of medium size (about 10x5 cm). We dilute the PVA glue with a little water and use it to glue the pipe with newspaper. We let it dry a little, for strength we prime it and let it dry.
  3. We determine what shape and size will be the area on which the picture will be placed. We cut out the area for the picture from paper and glue it on top of the newspaper. I will have sunflowers, so I make the background beige.

  1. We peel off the bark from firewood or simply cut down trees (preferably with a margin, so that it’s definitely enough). To get rid of various bugs in the bark, it must be boiled for about 10-15 minutes, then dried. The bark dries for about 2 days.
    Glue the bark to the surface of the pipe. You can use both PVA glue (not diluted with water) and universal thick glue. If the glue is liquid, then the bark needs to be fixed with ropes or rubber bands - then it will not move out and can stick well.
  2. When the bark is stuck (depending on the glue - about a day), we take colored napkins with a pattern. Cut out the desired objects along the contour. I have sunflowers, but you can take any flowers or a completely different pattern.
  3. We take butterfly stickers or print a color picture on paper and cut it out.

  1. Glue the flowers to the area reserved for decoupage. We use PVA with water for this.
  2. As you can see, some sunflowers look lonely, so butterflies are indispensable. We glue butterflies on flowers, as well as in empty places. Too many of them are not needed, it will be clumsy.
    We make a not very “cool” solution from gypsum and lay out the bottom of the vase: we put a pipe on a plastic board and lay the solution on top. We wait until the gypsum dries up (about 2 days) and proceed to the final stage. We paint the bark with brown paint, and apply 1-3 layers of varnish on top.
  3. We put the product for a few more days for final drying. Use as a gift or decorate your apartment with a wonderful decorative element.

Conclusion

So, now you know what wonderful things you can make from seemingly useless pipes. A little imagination, patience, time - and here you have a wonderful decorative element that is not inferior in beauty to store products.

But, in my opinion, home-made decor elements are attractive precisely because you will not find the exact same copy anywhere else. And what is this very moment of creation worth!

Today, it is rare that an interior, like a landscape, does without expressive and spectacular accessories. One of them can rightfully be called a floor vase. In order for it to look stylish and harmonious in the place allotted for it, it is not at all necessary to buy a finished product. It is quite possible to do it yourself, which will be discussed in this article.

Choice of size and shape

Floor vases can be different: high, medium height and width, large and moderate in size. The parameters of a floor vase depend on a number of factors. One of the key is the design of the surrounding space. For example, the dimensions may depend on the footage of a particular room, because the smaller it is, the smaller the vase itself should be. If this fact is not taken into account, the accessory may look too bulky in the interior, thereby breaking the visual balance.

The height of the product can vary from 40 to 90 cm. It is selected, paying attention to the height of the walls and the spaciousness of the room, since an accessory that is too high can visually make the height of the walls smaller, which is unacceptable. The width is selected based on your own preferences, as well as the form available for manufacturing. In addition, it may depend on the chosen style, which should match the interior design.

The shape of the floor vase can be conventionally roundish, square, triangular. Each type has its own nuances, for example, a rounded shape is considered the most harmonious for pouring into different stylistic design directions. You can make it using bottles or even three- and five-liter glass jars. The papier-mâché technique is also suitable for this.

A square floor vase is good for modern interior arrangements. The basic form for its manufacture can be a regular cardboard box. It is somewhat more difficult to make options for a triangular shape, since it is less common to pick up such shapes. Products of this type are often made from improvised raw materials or various constituent elements (for example, newspaper tubes).

Manufacturing methods

You can make a floor vase with your own hands from waste material, improvised means, and even ordinary dishes. Masters make such accessories not only from three-liter cans and papier-mâché, but also from plumbing pipes, gypsum, twine, linoleum. To make it stand out against the background of the interior, as well as harmoniously fit into it, it is better for a beginner to choose to create a variant of a symmetrical rounded shape. At the same time, it is important to take into account: the product looks better against the general background if its shade does not match the color of the flooring, furniture and wall cladding.

From a three-liter jar

Such work is notable for the fact that without drawing skills, it allows you to get a product with an imitation of artistic painting. In addition to the jar, to make a vase, you will need decoupage napkins, acrylic paints, brushes, twine and special glue, as well as the necessary decorating accessories (optional). The method of manufacturing such a floor vase consists of several successive steps:

  • the surface of the jar is degreased and coated with white acrylic paint;
  • after it dries, twine (or ribbon) is wound around the neck;
  • prepare decor elements (cut out of napkins);
  • they are glued, spreading with a brush, creating a pattern, ornament or other composition;
  • after they dry, a transparent acrylic varnish is applied on top.

The decor looks beautiful in gold and bronze, and for such a creation of a vase, it is enough to use a contour gel, drawing a simple pattern with it. If you cover such a product with dark paint on top and spray gilding in places with a sponge, such a vase will look expensive.

Out of the box with a beautiful shape

Such vases look quite unusual in the interior, they are very effective, but they are suitable mainly for modern style, as well as landscape compositions. To make it, you need a box (mould), gypsum (cement), a container for forming the internal space and cling film to make it easier to remove the vase from the base:

  • gypsum is mixed with water until smooth, achieving the consistency of thick sour cream;
  • it is poured into the box in a small layer;
  • put a smaller container inside, setting it in the center;
  • add the mixture to the desired level;
  • when the composition is completely dry, the vase is removed from the mold;
  • processed with fine sandpaper and decorated.

If you want to give a picture to such a product, you can do this with spray paint and lace braid. The braid is tightly attached to the base, paint is sprayed over it. If you want more chic, you can add a little silver or gold by applying it with a sponge.

From a plumbing pipe

For such a product, sometimes not only the usual materials at hand are used, but even nylon stockings and knitted fabrics. The design of the future vase depends on the type of the product itself, its material and shape. Variants with kinks are more suitable for decorating the landscape and summer cottages. Products with a straight cylindrical shape are relevant for city apartments.

The best material suitable for work can be called plastic and metal plumbing pipes. They can be pasted over with various decors (including even cereals), or you can give a relief pattern. For example, you can make a plastic trio from pipes of different heights by cutting off their top at an angle. The bottom of such vases is made of cardboard, although if desired and with the appropriate skills, it can also be welded to the metal.

A nylon stocking can be put on each pipe, forming folds. On top, the surface is impregnated with glue and wait until it is completely dry. After the base is created, they start decorating the vases, covering each of them with special spray paint.

The color is chosen based on the characteristics of the color solutions of a particular room in which the accessory will stand. It remains to add a little gilding or even glitter - and the unique decor is ready.

From a paper pipe from linoleum

Such a product can be used for dry branches. Creating it is simple: you will need the pipe itself (you can buy it at a hardware store), twine or rope thread, some cardboard, a hot glue gun and a saw for cutting the pipe. The manufacturing method is as follows:

  • the required amount is cut from the pipe, having previously determined the height of the vase;
  • they take thick cardboard and, putting a pipe on it, circle it, and then cut out the bottom;
  • having glued the bottom to the future vase, they are engaged in decorating it using a rope thread or twine;
  • the thread is wrapped around the vase from top to bottom, gluing to the base with hot glue (other adhesives can also be used);
  • tightly wrapping the product to the very top, cut the thread;
  • for stability, put some paper or small pebbles inside.

Made of thick cardboard and cardboard tube

To create a Greek vase, you will need old newspapers, a cardboard tube and several large boxes that you can get from the store. You will have to cut out the base of the vase from them, so it is advisable to take boxes of approximately the same size (it makes no sense to glue them). This option for making a floor vase is more labor-intensive, but the look of the finished product will please not only the owners of the house: such a product will be a rather bright and memorable accent of the interior. Create such a masterpiece using the following technology:

  • correlate the height of the pipe, the desired height and the size of the available boxes (everything must be the same);
  • a vase template is cut out, workpieces are circled around it, cut out and folded in half;
  • when there are enough of them, they paste over a cardboard tube (it will look like an accordion);
  • after that they tear the newspapers into pieces, soak them with PVA glue and create the base of the vase, pasting it from top to bottom in several layers, trying to make the shape even;
  • after the newspaper, you can stick several layers of toilet paper;
  • when it dries, the surface is covered with dark paint;
  • an ornament is drawn with contour gel or special contour paint;
  • you can cover the vase with another thin layer of paint on top, and then mark the relief pattern with bronze or gold paint.

To make the vase look expensive, you need to make it as carefully as possible, paying attention to the neck and bottom. When coating, it is important to color them too, the lines of the pattern should be even, and when ornamented, they should be identical.

Decoration of the finished product

Decorating a finished accessory will require knowledge of the basic skills of style, without which it is difficult to make it appropriate in a particular interior. Today, fashion trends are aimed at a combination of conciseness and functionality. The decor should be minimal, it is important that, despite the apparent simplicity, the product looks status, spectacular and professional, as if it were purchased in an expensive store. Therefore, it is necessary to approach the issue of decorating especially carefully.

Depending on the type of material used and the technique for making a floor vase, you can use:

  • mosaics, including home-made from multi-colored tiles and mirrors;
  • flat buttons of different sizes and shapes;
  • coins;
  • coarse salt;
  • cereals, sunflower and pumpkin seeds;
  • dry branches of different lengths and curvature;
  • cut branches;
  • twine;
  • tree bark;
  • newspaper tubes;
  • office rubber bands;
  • bracelets made of beads on a rubber thread;

Separate details of the interior, namely vases, panels and other decorative elements give the interior an individuality and a lively atmosphere. However, interior decoration is not always the work of professional designers who are specially trained in this art and have a natural talent - a room can be successfully decorated, guided solely by one's own taste.

Although most jewelry must be made by professionals, it is also possible to do this process yourself. In this case, we cannot talk about metal or stone products - their processing is quite complicated and time-consuming, but everyone can create simple and at the same time original jewelry from easily processed materials.

To create decorative jewelry at home, you can use not only samples purchased in specialized stores, since their price is quite significant, but also with the help of improvised means. At first glance, their appearance may not correspond to the final goal, but in skillful hands, from waste material, you can create a real masterpiece of applied art.

Even such an element as a pipe from linoleum, which remains after the coating is laid, can be used as decoration after proper processing. This article will describe in detail the instructions on how to make a floor vase out of this material to decorate the interior.

Manufacturing process

When packing linoleum in rolls, a hollow pipe made of durable cardboard is added to the middle, which is most often thrown away after flooring - it will serve as the main material for the future vase. It will be possible to place dried bouquets, decorative tree branches and other light decorations in it, but it is undesirable to use it as a carrier for planting live plants.

Frame assembly

When cutting, you will have to make great efforts and in any case it will be difficult to call the seam even - it is much easier to cut the pipe with a hacksaw.

  • Using a tape measure and a simple pencil, marks are made on the pipe, which correspond to the required length of the future vase - at least four risks should be made, and a value of eight points would be ideal, since in the future it will be easier for you to combine them into one line;

Note!
A large number of marks guarantees an even cut, which in turn will be the key to a smooth surface of the vase - a skewed, uneven edge is unlikely to contribute to the good appearance of the product.

  • After the cut line is marked, you can start cutting. A hacksaw will do an excellent job of this task, leaving a smooth, correct cut without breaking off the edges, as can happen if you use an ordinary wood saw for this purpose. The cut should be carried out in a circle, gradually turning the pipe in the process of cutting - so you will not go astray;

  • Then you need to prepare the basis for the future vase- most often it has a round shape and is made of corrugated cardboard. Also, hardboard, plywood, etc. can serve as a material for it. - the only condition for the material is the presence of the necessary strength to withstand the weight of the future vase along with the contents;
  • The diameter of the base must be greater than the diameter of the pipe to ensure the stability of the future structure - and the greater its value, the more stable the vase will be. The cutting of the base is carried out depending on the material - corrugated cardboard can be cut with a clerical knife, and other materials are processed with saws of the appropriate purpose.

Note!
For reasons of style, it often happens that the base has a size slightly larger than the circumference of the pipe - “as long as it stands”, but do not forget that it is necessary to take into account the presence of a decorative element inside: branches, flowers, etc. - the more they rise above the vase, the more stable the base should be.

  • When marking out shapes such as a square, you should not have any particular problems, but you will have to use a special tool to cut a perfect circle. Since it is difficult to find a compass of this size, it is necessary to find a rope whose length will correspond to the radius of the future base;
  • One end must be tied to a nail, and a pencil attached to the other- the nail is stuck into the center of the future circle, the rope is stretched and, in the taut state, the contour of the circle is outlined. Thus, you will get a perfect circle, since the rope will not let you go beyond the circle, and the same degree of tension will allow you to control the inside;
  • After both elements are cut out, you can start connecting them.. To place the pipe exactly in the middle, measure the distance from the edge of the base to its surface and move the pipe until the length of the segments on all sides is equal - this will be the correct location;

External design

The floor vase can be decorated in any way - with light stucco made from flour mixed with PVA, dried citrus slices, herbarium, coffee beans, etc. The only condition for decoration is the light weight of the decor - it is undesirable to use massive metal jewelry for this purpose. As an adhesive for installation, you can use the same PVA or epoxy composition with an accelerated curing time.

Outcome

Vases from pipes from linoleum will decorate any room with their unusual appearance. They can also bring practical benefits, becoming a haven for dried bouquets and light items of everyday use.
