Every day, people throw away millions of plastic bottles, and a significant part of them do not reach recycling. Thousands of tons of plastic can either lie in a landfill (or even in a forest or on a beach!), or be useful when they are reused. In the latter case, you do not have to buy other things, and the harm to nature will be somewhat minimized.

Recycle end-of-life plastic in your garden or garden and the burden on recycling plants will be a little less. In addition, you can get a lot of handy tools that will make caring for your plants much easier. You will save your time and money.

Use the bottle as a mini greenhouse

Seedlings or tender plants can be very vulnerable to wind. Protect them by covering them with a plastic bottle without a cap. Young shoots will be saved from cold and bad weather, and water and sunlight will easily penetrate them.

Build a drip irrigation device for plants

Ready-made electronic drip irrigation systems are very expensive. Replace it with a plastic bottle construction with holes drilled in the walls and a hose. The bottle should be buried next to the root system of the plant. The neck should protrude above the soil surface, under the water hose. The plant will take as much moisture as it needs.

Make a watering can from a bottle

Water the garden with warm water. Instead of buying a ready-made watering can, you can drill holes in a plastic bottle. Fill the bottles in the morning and leave in the sun. By evening, the water will warm up, and you can start watering your beds.

Make a sprinkler

To ensure constant watering of the garden, you need to disperse a large stream of water from the hose. Take a clean bottle and make many small holes on one of its sides. Connect a water hose to the bottle. This design will provide your garden with uniform watering.

Fruit picker

Ripe apples and pears are not easy to pick from the highest branches. If you shake the tree, most of the fruit will break and cannot be stored for long. Another way is to attach a ladder to the tree. But this is not very convenient, and quite tedious. Make a simple picker by cutting a hole in the side of a plastic bottle. It remains only to wind the bottle on the mop handle. Collect fruits easily!

Wasp trap

Annoying guests can cause a lot of trouble. And if they have chosen your site, learn to defend yourself. Build a bottle trap with some honey or sugar water. The upper half of the bottle must be placed in the lower one, and the edges should be fixed with a stapler. Such a trap will work especially well in the place where you dine. The wasps will easily get to the honey, and not everyone can get back.

Handy scoop

You do not have to run for a shovel at all if you are doing garden work. Sometimes you need a scoop without a long handle. Cut off the bottom and side of a large bottle (detergent can is best). Be careful cutting off the excess. The edges of such a bottle are very hard, and it is not easy to cut them.

To ensure good drainage, stones or peat are placed at the bottom of the pot. This makes the container heavier, and plants are difficult to move from place to place. Fill in the extra space with closed bottles and you have an easy pot.

Materials and preparation

A scoop from plastic bottles, as mentioned above, is really easy to make. All you need is one plastic bottle. The capacity of a plastic bottle for a scoop is selected depending on what tasks it will solve.

The larger the bottle, the larger the scoop will be and the faster you can transfer bulk materials from one container to another with it. Accordingly, the smaller the plastic bottle, the smaller the scoop will turn out, which is more convenient in some cases.

If you intend to use a scoop from plastic food bottles, the bottle must first be washed well with detergents under running water. You also need to remove stickers and labels. Then the plastic bottle for the scoop is dried well.

How to make a scoop from plastic bottles

When the bottle is properly prepared, it can be made into an owl. This is done very simply, in just a few seconds. The main thing is that the knife is sharp enough, large and thin. A knife with a thick blade, and even a blunt one, is much more difficult to wield.

So, to make a scoop out of plastic bottles, all you need to do is cut off the excess lower part of the plastic bottle. It must be cut off at one angle, that is, diagonally, as shown in the photographs. In this case, the scoop will be very convenient to work with.

In principle, you can first cut off the bottom of the plastic bottle, and only then cut out the scoop of the required shape from the rest of the bottle. That's it - a scoop from a plastic bottle with a comfortable handle is ready!

When the scoop is cut out, you can take scissors (large and sharp are best) and trim the cut line. If you want to bring the scoop of plastic bottles to the ideal, this very cut line can be melted a little with a candle. You just need to work carefully, because plastic bottles are made of thin plastic, and a scoop from such plastic bottles can melt very easily.

Once again I was at the market and saw an interesting thing. You yourself have noticed a hundred times. Everything is very simple and banal, but when you need to do it yourself, you won’t remember and you won’t do it.
Scoop cut out of a plastic bottle for picking up a small amount of bulk materials! As soon as I got home, I got to work. We take a plastic bottle, scissors and a marker. With a marker, mark the borders along which you need to cut, as shown in the photo, and forward.

We do not throw away the cap from under the plastic bottle, but close the “neck” so that the collected bulk material does not spill out.

Carefully correct the cut edges so that there are no irregularities and it looks beautiful.
Cut out a round hole. Here is the cell holder. We hang the holder for charging and stick it into the socket, and put the phone inside. Very comfortably. I recommend to all.
If the holder is large, you can cut it out smaller - at your discretion, I left it like that.
