"Magic" Nuts with predictions, wishes, confessions, lottery tickets, etc. will add zest to any holiday, make the event unforgettable for all participants. Each master finds his own way of cracking nuts, but we use this one, because. with such splitting, most of the nuts are divided into even natural halves, without crooked chips, although they are also indispensable.

Here are the halves we get. We take a teaspoon and begin to clean the nut. If you have a very dried nut, then it will take no more than a minute to completely clean it, if the nut is fresher, then from 2 to 5 minutes. It is more convenient for us to clean the nuts with a teaspoon, “picking” the tiny remains of nuts that do not lag behind the walls with a folding knife. This is the most time-consuming and routine work of the entire process of creating nuts.

Having cleaned the bulk and broken the small membranes inside the nut, be sure to “sweep” it from the inside with a dry brush, a brush with natural bristles is suitable for this. You don’t want your clients or friends, when opening a nut with a prediction, to pour out the remnants of a poorly cleaned nut on themselves?) But we prefer the maximum handmade We paint with a brush with bristles (No. 10 - pile width is about 1 cm, which is very convenient).

We paint carefully, but quickly (acrylic paints dry very quickly) with an even thin layer of the entire shell, not forgetting about the edges of the nut (so that later when gluing the halves there are no unpainted edges). It is better to spread the painted halves on a film or cut transparent files, because. the colored edges of the nuts do not stick to such surfaces (when laying on paper or newspapers, after drying, you may find that pieces of paper are firmly stuck to your nuts).

Acrylic paints, like other water-based paints, can be thinned with water during use, but become resistant to water after drying. They do not smell and are not toxic, ideal for such decorative work. Wash off with brushes and fingers with water (slightly faster with plain soap).

We use acrylic varnish, when applied it looks like “diluted milk”, a translucent whitish liquid, but after complete drying (about 1 hour) it becomes an absolutely transparent gloss. And gives the finished nuts a very pleasant and neat look.

Now on small pieces of paper we write gratitude to the hosts of the holiday or a beautiful toast. This is a good way to help those guests who can hardly come up with original greetings, and humorous content to make the feast memorable.

We compose / find the text of wishes / predictions, print on a conventional printer on A4 sheets, then cut into separate strips (you can use curly scissors) - into 1 strip - 1 wish.

We fold them into a tube nicely and neatly, tie them with a thread or ribbon.

We cut off satin ribbons about 20 cm long for each scroll. We fold each segment in half, retreat from the place of the fold 5-6 cm and make a regular knot. We twist our strips with wishes into a tube, tie them with the free ends of our ribbon, press the scroll to the knot, and tie a new knot on the scroll. Those. our scroll is between 2 knots. Cut off the excess ends of the ribbon. It turns out such loops with scrolls for golden nuts.

We drip glue on the edges of the nut in 3 places (bottom, right and left) (we use polymer glue - it is transparent, does not smell, dries quickly).

If you haven’t finished painting somewhere before, or you have uneven edges, you can tint the already glued nut in the right places (here it will be more convenient to use a thin synthetic brush - No. 2 or No. 3).

Take a teaspoon and start peeling the nut (Pic 3). If your nut is well dried, then it will take no more than a minute to completely clean it, for a fresher nut it takes from 2 to 5 minutes.

After cleaning the bulk and breaking the small membranes inside the nut, be sure to “sweep” it from the inside with a dry brush with natural bristles (photo 4). In general, there should be no residue left from the entrails of the nutshell.

Lay out the cleaned halves in rows so that they don’t get tangled (because then you will need to connect the two halves) (photo 5).

Next, paint the outer surface of the nut shell, for which you can use acrylic paints from a tube, applying them manually with a brush. You can also use spray paint in cans, which is evenly applied quickly sonnet.

Paint the surface of each shell quickly and carefully (acrylic paints dry very quickly), in an even and thin layer, not forgetting the edges of the nut (photo 6-7). It is better to spread the dyed halves on the surface of the film (photo 8). It is advisable to paint the shells in two layers (some colors are better even in 3-4 layers), in order to obtain an absolutely even color.

Gold, silver and any other acrylic paints from the metallic series will not require varnishing, because. have a shiny and glossy effect. Other colors are best covered with acrylic varnish, which, when applied, looks like a translucent whitish liquid, but after complete drying (it takes 1 hour) it will look like an absolutely transparent gloss.

Prepare surprise scrolls. Compose / find the text of wishes / predictions, print on A4 sheets on a conventional printer, then cut into separate strips - into 1 strip - 1 wish (photo 11).

Cut a satin ribbon about 20 cm long for each scroll. Fold each piece in half, step back 5-6 cm from the fold and make a regular knot. Twist the strips with wishes into a tube, tie with the free ends of our ribbon, press the scroll to the knot, and tie a new knot on the scroll. Those. the scroll will be between two knots. Cut off the excess ends of the ribbon. It turns out the similarity of such loops with scrolls for golden nuts.

Now lay each scroll in half of the nut so that the loop goes to the top of the nut, where there should be a small gap for this (photo 14). On the edges of the shell in 3 places (bottom, left and right), drip polymer glue, which dries quickly, is transparent and odorless. Cover the nut with the second half, and press with a little effort. Wait a few seconds and set aside the nut until the glue has fully set. Then unpainted places can be painted over.

You can create themed nuts with a surprise, for example, for Halloween (photo 20), or for a watermelon wedding (photo 10). Agree, it will be incredibly nice to receive such a bag of nuts with wishes.
