  • wood screws (size is selected individually);
  • bolts, nuts, washers;
  • electrodes;
  • PP corners, connectors, plugs.

How to make?

from wood

Prepare 4 boards with parameters: 100x2.5xD mm (D is the length corresponding to the height of the future staircase). Prepare the required number of cross bars at the rate of 1 piece for every 50 cm. The length of each cross bar should not exceed 70 cm. Place two vertical boards strictly parallel on a flat surface. Lay the prepared planks - steps on top of them at an equal distance. The ends of the planks should match the edges of the boards. The angle between vertical and horizontal elements must be 90 degrees.

Carefully, so as not to displace the resulting structure, lay the remaining 2 boards in the same way as the first 2 were laid. You should get a "two-layer staircase". Once again check the correspondence of the angle between the parts. Using self-tapping screws, fix the planks located between the two boards at their points of contact. In order for the workpieces not to crack from screwing in the screws, it is necessary to drill a mounting hole for them. To do this, use a drill with a diameter not exceeding the diameter of the self-tapping screw. A minimum of 2 screws are screwed into each point of contact of the planks on each side of the stairs.

This type of ladder is one of the most practical. Its design allows you to assemble a connection device of almost any length and easily withstands the maximum allowable load. For the manufacture, improvised building materials can be used, which can be used for other purposes after dismantling. There is no need to make any cutouts, stops under the slats of the steps and other additional manipulations.

Important! In order to make an attached wooden ladder with your own hands, you need to select materials that do not have structural damage: knots, cracks, cuts and others. It is not recommended to connect two ladders of this type to each other.

For the manufacture of the structure, you can use a profile pipe of square or rectangular section, however, the second option has undeniable advantages over the first. Such a ladder can have several modifications. In the first version, 2 vertical supports of a rectangular profile are interconnected by planks of the same material. In this case, the slats are attached to the supports from the inside of the latter. In the second version, the steps are attached to the vertical parts on top of them. To facilitate the construction, a smaller diameter pipe can be used as cross bars.

By analogy with a wooden staircase, a metal one is assembled by connecting horizontal slats with vertical supports. Using a welding inverter, the workpieces are welded together. Particular attention is paid to the angle between the parts and the strength of the weld. The degree of safety when using the device depends on the quality of these characteristics.

The properties of the metal structure make it possible to equip the ladder with hooks that can hold it in the desired position, a support platform for the feet. The latter can be moved in height. To implement such a modification of the site, its fastenings are made, based on bolted connections, which allow fixing it at the desired level.

PVC pipes

This method of making stairs is the most impractical. Its features are: high cost of materials, low structural strength, assembly complexity. To make a staircase from PVC pipes, you must use the latter with an inner diameter of at least 32 mm. It is desirable that they have internal reinforcement with metal or a temperature-resistant layer. Connections of vertical supports with horizontal steps are carried out using PVC tees.

For the safest possible use of a ladder made of PVC pipes, its height should not exceed 2 m. Otherwise, when a work load is applied, it may undergo structural deformation, which may threaten the life and health of the person who uses it.

In the manufacture of stairs from a particular material, an important role is played by the design drawing. Its presence will ensure the assembly of the best quality.

Operating rules

The ladder is a device that requires increased care during operation. The support for its upper point must be stable and durable. The lowest point of the ladder is installed only on hard and level surfaces. Do not use on soft, slippery, sandy ground.

The angle between the base of the ladder and the point of its upper support must be optimal. The structure should not topple back under the weight of a person, and its lower part should not move away from the support. It is unacceptable to stand on the last 3 steps of a ladder if its design does not provide for a footrest, staging platform or other fixing fixtures.

Metal stairs for the pool are most common, with their help you can quickly and easily go down into the water or climb up. Most often they have an emphasis on the upper platform and the bottom, but there are options when the structure is attached only to the walls of the pool. In their form, such structures resemble the letter "A" or "P".

The first option is a metal ladder, for which stability is ensured by resting on the walls of the pool. The second option is a ladder, the mount of which is located on the site. The structure itself is assembled from metal pipes, which are handrails and a frame; pipes or plastic, metal corrugated crossbars are also used as steps. It is quite easy to assemble such a ladder with your own hands from pipes.

For an inflatable pool, a metal ladder must have feet with tips to ensure its stability on the ground. For large pools, mounted models are used. They are simply "put on" on the side, have comfortable handrails. This option is used for pools deepened into the soil.

For our design, boards of 100x50 mm in size of different lengths will be required in the amount of:

  • 2 pcs. 450 mm long;
  • 2 pcs. 1245 mm long;
  • 2 pcs. 1422 mm long;
  • 4 things. 1016 mm long;
  • 2 pcs. 1346 mm long.

Sawing boards 100x25 mm. − 13 pcs. 1194 mm long. You will also need 6 bars with a size of 250x50 mm and a length of 1232 mm.

In addition to the main material, you need:

  • wood screws;
  • screwdriver;
  • electric jigsaw for cutting;
  • wood grinder to remove irregularities;
  • dye;
  • varnish.

Attention! To make it more comfortable to walk on the steps, they can be sheathed with soft material, for example, carpet. In this case, you will additionally need a furniture stapler with staples, and pieces of carpet of the right size with an allowance of 5-7 cm on all sides for bending.

When all the materials are collected and the boards are sawn to size, you can proceed directly to the assembly, which will take no more than two hours.

After all the details have been prepared for work, the steps are applied to long strips for marking. Here it is recommended to use a square to maintain a right angle. So far, work will be carried out with two of the 4 existing sections of the profile. The sequence of operations will look like this:

1. After correcting the future connection, you can start making welds. And the first step is to mount the lower support;
2. When the first step is ready, you can sequentially weld the rest;
3. When the installation of the first part of the ladder is completed, it will be necessary to drill holes for the threaded bolt in the upper part;
4. Then you should weld the ears, as shown in the corresponding photo;
5. Now the second part of the ladder is going in the same way;
6. After fixing the two ladders with bolts, it is necessary to carry out a strength test.













The end result is a robust design. To protect the metal from corrosion, it should be primed and then painted.
