Adjustment of canopies of plastic doors. How to adjust the balcony plastic door in the apartment. Tool and basic adjustment mechanisms

Reading time ≈ 7 minutes

In most cases, input adjustment is not needed, but this is only while they are new. After a few years, the canvas sags under its own weight and needs to be corrected. You can do it yourself, and the instructions are below, but first make sure that there really is a need for this. In the event of a malfunction, the door may not fit well against the feigned frame, it may hang out or there will be a draft from there, which is very easy to determine by simply placing your palm on it.

What can be determined

First of all, you need to determine the nature of the malfunction:

  • Sagging canvas. In such a situation, the door will strike against the threshold and in order to close it, it must be lifted by the handle (such a mechanical force affects the locking arcature).
  • Broken handle. This happens either from the actions indicated above, or due to poor-quality fittings (most often).
  • The canvas scratches against the frame. There is a problem with the upper and middle canopy - they moved away from the impost. In such situations, the lower loop usually holds well.
  • Draft from junctions. At first glance, everything may seem normal, but there is a gap between the canvas and the box, and the gap can not be visually noticed, so adjusting the plastic door is simply necessary.
  • Another reason for the draft. These can be seals - if the rubber is of poor quality, then it is erased and this can even be determined visually.

Another problematic feature is a double-glazed window - it rarely happens, but it happens. You may notice that it is fogging up and if so, then you will not do anything on your own - strain the company that did the installation.

Usually a balcony door is a balcony block, but since it was overlooked during installation, you will have to force the manufacturer to correct the mistake.

Replacing the hinge on a plastic door - quickly and easily

Hinge adjustment

So you can check the canvas for adjacency to the box

Even if there is no teal of the canvas on the box, there may be problems - it may happen that the lock does not work, and this is already skewed. The size of the porch is about 20 mm (it happens in different ways), so the shift may not be noticeable visually, but you can check it, moreover, with an ordinary sheet of paper, trying to press it. It still won’t bite tightly, as the gum will soften, but you can determine. This can also be done "by eye" - the seal should rest against the profile without any gaps. But do not hesitate to check -.

Adjustment principles

There are adjusting bolts on the box that can move the blade and here you will need a 4 mm, 5 mm or 6 mm hex. In addition, there may be a bolt with a 6 mm head, so there can be anything here, depending on the company, supplier and his conscience. You can watch the instructions from the video of adjusting the entrance plastic doors on your own, but I immediately say that they are all different and this is not true, that there is a certain type of canopies - a lie. I can say this with a clear conscience, as I have been doing repairs for over 20 years! Even the famous Rehau and Winbau will deceive you - you need to check everything yourself, only this way and nothing else! There are hinges (canopies) Rota, Reze, KTW and so on, but the landing holes may vary in size and distance, so be careful.

This is Reze with and without the decorative cover removed.

When you remove the decorative cover on the hinged hinge, you will get to the screws with which you can independently adjust the front plastic door (there will be instructions on the video below). If the canvas sags, then you need to use a hexagon or open-end wrench (it happens in different ways) to tighten all the loops, starting from the top, but the top one a little more, then the middle one, and sometimes they don’t touch the bottom one at all. When you do this, the distortion will go away and everything will fall into place. But I want to remind you again that sheds are different, so the tool needs to be selected according to the situation.

For some hinges, the adjusting bolt is fixed with a plastic washer with antennae - it does not twist, but is simply removed after the decorative lining, but again, it all depends on the manufacturer.

Remove this screw to remove the cover

Note. To remove the trim, you need to open the door and unscrew the bolt, as in the photo above, but this may not be the case for all doors - sometimes it is removed without such a procedure.

Adjustment of the front door on the sides and in height

You can also do it with an adjusting screw, which is located on the side, but for this you have to remove the decorative cover (it is removed very easily - you just need to pry it with a knife or screwdriver). All paintings on the side, on the opposite side of the hinges, have a clamp or trunnion - this is something resembling a bolt in a vertical groove, and when it is in the middle, this is the factory position, but over time it must either be raised up or lowered down.

Adjustment of winter and summer mode

For some manufacturers, this can be done with a hex wrench, and for some just with pliers - try turning them half a turn in one direction or the other, and so you can strengthen or weaken the connection to the rubber seals on the door frame. For the winter and summer regimes, most plastic doors, and windows too, have a trunnion in the middle of the canvas on which there is a mark and with a hexagon it can be turned either towards the street (winter) or towards the room (summer). During manufacture, it is standardly lowered down.

Adjustment of the winter and summer mode.

Replacing the overhead hinges at the front door can be done in just a few minutes, but first take the dimensions from the mounting holes for the fasteners, as they may not match and you will have to re-drill the plastic together with the metal profile, and this is undesirable.

On the canopies under the lid, as a rule, there are four screws, but maybe six, so you can take the canopy with you for the purchase so as not to be mistaken, but it is best to purchase such fittings in the place where you made the door.

What can be done with the lock and crossbars

The striker must be in place

Sometimes the closing is bad due to the fact that the striker is offset to the side, but fix this by moving it to the right or left so that it exactly matches the lock tongue. You can check this by closing the door and try to turn your hand - when it is in place, the handle will turn very easily. In fact, such a design should behave in everything without any teals and pressing forces - if this is found, then the cause must be eliminated immediately. Also, the canvas can sag if it is screwed on and you need to tighten all the bolts and screws on the hinges.

If you want to change the lock, do not rush to buy a new one, as the reason may be elementary - you need to lubricate it with machine oil, pour it from the oil can into the keyhole in sufficient quantities. Sometimes a problem arises during severe frosts - the key does not turn, but if a steel door can simply be heated with an open fire, then a plastic one cannot be heated in this way, but this can be eliminated without oil. So that the door does not freeze in winter, you need to take care of this in the summer - you need above it, which will protect it from precipitation.

Conclusion

For self-adjustment of entrance plastic doors, read this instruction carefully and look at all the photo and video materials. As I said, there are no exactly the same fittings. Therefore, what is right for one case will be wrong for another and a third.

To adjust a sagging or poorly closing plastic entrance door, it is enough to arm yourself with this instruction and two hexagons 4 mm and 6 mm. You will not need other tools for self-adjusting the loops.

Mentioning the repair of the door, the repair of the loop group was not mentioned by chance. It is by changing the degree of pressure, raising or lowering the hinge that you can eliminate the most seemingly serious problems with the PVC door on which the facade adjustable hinges are installed.

Not every front hinge can be adjusted, however, most reputable manufacturers: Dr Hahn, Roto, Geze, VBH - these and some other hinge manufacturers supply their products with adjusting screws so that you can service door structures or change the degree of pressure door leaf to frame.

In principle, all actions are reduced to a few simple operations. The essence of which is to loosen or strengthen the clamp of the adjusting screw in the loop. Depending on the direction in which you want to move the door leaf relative to the frame frame, either the hinge on the frame or on the door leaf is adjusted.

Door adjustment with Roto hinges

Roto's Doorline hinges are among the easily adjustable facade hinges with precise pressure adjustment.

Door adjustment with Dr Hahn hinges

The manufacturer of German locks, handles and other elements for doors and windows - the company Dr Hahn strongly does not recommend trusting the adjustment of doors to unskilled persons in order to avoid breakages.

Remember: when adjusting the facade hinges with your own hands, you are fully responsible for the performance of the structure, for injuries and injuries sustained during self-repair.

Door adjustment with VBH and SIKU hinges

Proper diagnosis of a breakdown is the first step towards solving a problem with a plastic door. After that, you can set the door leaf in the desired plane in 15 minutes.

A person who understands the fittings and features of PVC structures can quickly and efficiently fix the problem using the instructions above.

Plastic doors are widely used in houses, apartments, offices and shops: they are used as balcony, interior, entrance doors. This is a great alternative to wooden doors, and such products better protect against noise, dust, and have a large margin of safety. Over time, plastic doors may need to be adjusted. , which is easy to do on your own.

When is adjustment required?

Even if you did not save on quality and purchased an expensive one from a trusted manufacturer, this does not mean that after a few years you will not need to adjust the door. This problem is related to many factors:

  • Shrinkage of the building.
  • Wrong installation.
  • Incorrect operation.
  • Subsidence of the structure from its own weight.

To know exactly how to adjust , you can watch how the installers do it. Over time, this skill can come in handy.

You can find out that door adjustment is required if there are drafts, the door began to open or close poorly, it ceased to be parallel to the box. To determine how tightly the structure fits, you can use a regular sheet of paper to be placed between the door frame and the frame itself. When tightly closed, the sheet cannot be pulled out. If it comes out easily or falls out, then the fit in this place is weak.

The sash could move due to frequent temperature changes, weakening of the door mechanism, because of which it begins to touch the frame elements. It is also necessary to adjust the plastic door in the situation if, when opening, it touches the threshold. When setting up, look at the handle: it can hang out, fly out of the socket, also requiring adjustment. The canvas may not fit snugly against the frame and due to wear on the seal, which will need to be replaced.

Having determined the malfunction, you will understand what adjustment of plastic doors is needed on your own; instructions for all actions are simple and available to any owner. can be adjusted in three directions, for this you will need to prepare the tools in advance. You will need two screwdrivers: flat and Phillips, hexagon, tape measure, plastic gaskets, pliers.

A properly adjusted door must be stable in any position.

Vertical adjustment

The hinges are adjusted using a special screw located on them. Turning it will raise or lower the door. This method is used if the sash touches the threshold or the seal in the lower or upper part has dents.

Before starting work, you will need to remove the plug from the adjusting screw, which is located on the bottom hinge. It is located along its axis. You can turn the screws with a hexagon. When the mechanism is turned clockwise, the web will rise, in the opposite direction, the web will lower.

Adjustment of a plastic balcony door in height

Horizontal setting

This type of adjustment is needed if the canvas is sagging. Most often this is due to the large mass of the structure. The plastic door is adjusted in height when the leaf is open. To do this, you need to unscrew the screws from the upper hinges, then you need to close the sash, remove the lining on the hinges that cover the screws for adjustment. Adjustment takes place using the longest element of the fastener, which is in a horizontal position.

If there is a warp, you will need to tighten this screw on the upper and central hinges; the one located above should be tightened more strongly. If you don't know how to tighten the plastic balcony door so that it stands up straight, loosen all the horizontal screws and adjust them together.

Clamp debugging

You need to know not only how to adjust the plastic balcony door yourself , but also when it needs to be done. For example, pressure needs to be monitored all the time, not just when you notice a problem. In summer, plastic expands due to high temperatures, so the clamp must be loosened, in winter, on the contrary, it must be strengthened to eliminate drafts, since expansion will cease to occur. The device of the plastic door to the balcony is quite simple, so you only need a hex key to work. Locate the lock-type trunnion on the frame. This structural element has a special notch that will help determine the degree of pressing density. Turning the serif to the frame will provide weakening, in the opposite direction - strengthening.

If the position of the screws used for adjustment is extreme, this adjustment will not be effective. In this case, you will have to resort to debugging the position of the double-glazed window. Pull out the glazing beads that fix it, install gaskets in the right places, this can be done using a special tool - a spatula. It will be possible to get rid of the warp by choosing the right place for the gasket and taking into account its thickness. After that, the glazing beads can be returned to their place.

Door leaf pressure adjustment

Seal replacement

If the adjustment of plastic doors was not carried out independently for quite a long time, and the door was operated skewed, a noticeable deformation of the sealing material often occurs. It will need to be changed: you can buy a new one at a hardware store. Pay attention to the shape and cross-section of the purchased material - they must match the old one.

You can remove the seal that has become unusable from the groove using a flat screwdriver. Remove dirt, glue growths, apply a new layer of it, insert a fresh seal so that it does not stretch or sag.

Debugging the State of Handles

These products can become loose or, conversely, turn tightly, preventing the door from opening normally. In the first case, the adjustment of the plastic entrance door is carried out using screws located on the handle. To do this, remove the protective cover by pulling them with a screwdriver.

The second version of the problem will require different efforts. To fix the problem, you will need to adjust the door leaf. How to adjust hinges on plastic doors , described above. If you put the canvas correctly, but the handle defect has not disappeared, it will need to be replaced. This is easy to do: you need to unscrew the two screws that hold the product, pull out the handle, put a new one in its place and screw the screws into place.

Handle adjustment
  • In order to protect the door from damage and eliminate the need for frequent adjustments, you can install an opening limiter. This device will protect the hinges from loosening, as it will prevent them from touching the door jamb.
  • Another useful device is a microlift. It takes the weight of the door leaf in the closed position and does not allow it to sag.
  • To prolong the life of the seal, it must be treated with silicone grease.
  • You can't hang anything on the door handle.
  • All parts of the opening mechanism must be lubricated regularly.

Compliance with these simple rules will extend the life of the door, avoiding frequent adjustments.

Today, many in search of comfort and warmth for their home prefer to replace wooden windows and doors with plastic ones. Such designs have many advantages, but there is also a certain feature: after some time, PVC products require adjustment. If you feel that doors or windows begin to close less tightly or require serious effort to do so, then the time has come. If the warranty period has not yet expired, the easiest way is to call a wizard who will do everything quickly and free of charge. Otherwise, you should not panic either: adjusting plastic windows and doors on your own is a completely feasible task.

When is adjustment required?

An important point: PVC windows and doors have a similar mechanism (except that the first ones allow another degree of opening), therefore, in the future, all instructions will be given using windows as an example. In the case of balcony doors, the work is carried out identically.

You can understand that urgent and immediate adjustment is required by the following signs:

  • the window sash clings to the frame;
  • opening-closing is associated with considerable effort;
  • knobs loose or too tight to turn;
  • windows let in outside air even when closed.
If the window does not open or close well, it means that its mechanisms need to be adjusted.

These signs indicate that the window is in a very run down condition, so it is possible that some parts may require serious repair or replacement. In order not to bring the case to such an outcome, you can take preventive measures.

You can determine if they are needed as follows:

  1. Open a door or window. If, in the absence of a draft, the sashes close or open on their own, it means that repair and adjustment are required.
  2. Circle the entire sash in the closed state along the contour, and then open it. Compare the lines and edges of the window opening. Ideally, they should be parallel. It is recommended to eliminate even the slightest distortion.
  3. Take a sheet of paper or newspaper. Then slam the window so that the sheet is between the sash and the frame. Now, if you can pull it out without effort, then you need a little adjustment. Ideally, the efforts to remove the paper should be the same, no matter where this sheet is located.

Seasonal mode adjustment allows you to adjust the operation of window mechanisms in the most optimal way

Finally, the adjustment of plastic windows is carried out in the off-season: by winter they try to increase the pressure, by the summer - to loosen it. This adjustment helps to avoid rapid wear of individual parts of the closing mechanism..

Tool and basic adjustment mechanisms

For work, you will need to prepare the following tool in advance:

  • pliers;
  • Screwdriver Set;
  • PVC gaskets;
  • a set of hex keys and "asterisks";
  • roulette.

The main bolts used to adjust windows and doors are shown in the figure. To access some, you will need to remove the decorative caps.

Handle adjustment

First, consider the malfunctions associated with the handle (window or door - there is no fundamental difference here), and how to eliminate them.

Repair of a loose handle belongs to the category of the simplest. Under the handle is a special decorative plug. It is enough to pull it towards you a little and turn it a quarter of a turn. This should be done with your hands, as otherwise you can scratch the material. Under the cap is a couple of bolts that need to be tightened a little.

The bolts securing the handle are located under the decorative cap

In a similar way, the handle is completely replaced: we unscrew the bolts under the plug, carefully remove the handle and insert a serviceable one in its place. It remains to screw the fasteners.

Most often, the problem of a sticky handle is solved by banal lubrication of the mechanism.. It is produced as follows: first, the handle is removed, after which the mechanism is cleaned with a vacuum cleaner. It remains to lubricate it. The best option would be a can of WD-40 liquid with a convenient tube that will help you reach all the difficult places.

If the handle turns noticeably tight, you should adjust the clamping mechanism. For this, there are special trunnions from the end. This adjustment of plastic windows and doors will be described in more detail below.

Downforce setting for windows and doors

Rubber used as insulation and sealing can lose volume over time. As a result, gaps are formed, due to which not only heat, but also sound insulation suffers. A similar problem occurs due to deformation caused by temperature differences in winter and summer. Often, the seal is changed to solve it, but in fact, the hardware design itself allows you to eliminate gaps without any replacements.

The key elements are small cylinders that are located on the side of the window or balcony door in the slots of the plugs. They are called pins or eccentrics. Directly opposite them in the frame is a mechanism for which they are hooked. To adjust the pressing force, it is necessary to adjust either the trunnions or the clamping mechanism - it all depends on the hardware model.

Pins or eccentrics are responsible for the degree of pressing the sash to the frame and may vary depending on the manufacturer

In order for the sash not to be pressed so hard, the elongated part of the eccentric rotates towards the outer surface, for reinforcement - towards the inner. The adjustment method varies from hardware manufacturer, but the principle is the same: the trunnion has a special slot for a key or screwdriver. In some cases, to turn, you will need to slightly take the pins towards yourself with the help of pliers. You need to act very carefully - there is a risk of damage to the mechanism.

In some cases, the cylinders themselves cannot be adjusted - in this case, it remains to adjust the position of the counterpart. In such fittings, it is fastened with a pair of bolts. It is necessary to loosen them a little and then move the hook in the right direction.

Canopy adjustment

The following applies exclusively to windows with a fanlight system (it is she who helps to slightly open the window for a little ventilation). Most often, such a system is not installed on the door.

Before you start setting up, you will need to remove the decorative trim on the mount. There are several bolts on the mount itself - they are used to set the position of the sash in relation to the frame. To begin with, you should pay attention to the bolt that is located perpendicular to the plane of the double-glazed window. The design is adjusted when the windows are in the closed state. Adjustment is made with a hex key - it rotates left and right to achieve the desired location.

Adjustment of the upper canopies is carried out by tightening the bolts with the scissors system

To fasten the upper part of this design, not ordinary hinges are used, but a special system known as "scissors". Those wishing to get to the adjusting bolts will need to open the window. Next, you have to act almost by touch. On the side surface at an angle to the insulation is a clip that plays the role of a blocker. After pressing (the clip slightly springs), it is necessary to set the sash to the ventilation mode. If everything is done correctly, it will hang on the "scissors" and the lower canopy. It remains only to adjust the pressure with the bolt (its location is easiest to assess from the photo). The tuning process is exactly the same as in the case of trunnions.

The edge of the window or door sash touches the frame

A similar problem can be encountered if the windows are often in the open state: the fastening of some fittings is weakened or they themselves are deformed. Critical damage cannot occur, but the problem is solved by adjusting the position. The easiest way is to look at the manufacturer's logo on the fittings and find a detailed manual on the official website. However, there are a number of general rules:

  1. If the sash is skewed from the side of the handle in the lower part, it is lifted towards the upper mount.
  2. If it touches the upper part, it is turned towards the lower canopy or completely lowered down.
  3. If it touches in the area of the handle, the sash is shifted towards the canopy.

Special hexagon head bolts are responsible for the adjustment. They are located on the "scissors" system and at the bottom of the canopy. If the balcony door is warped, everything will be a little more complicated - it is additionally equipped with closers that will have to be adjusted in parallel.

The height of the sash and the horizontal movement of the lower part are adjusted by bolts located on the lower canopy. You can get to them by removing the platbands. The key is inserted inside the part - the required bolt is hidden in its very depths. The sash rises when rotated to the right and lowers when rotated to the left.

To prevent the sash from touching the frame from below, it is necessary to tighten the bolt on the lower canopy

Tilt adjustment is similar, but a different bolt is used. The desired one is located at the very bottom, it is located parallel to the canopy itself. Manufacturers have immediately provided two ways to get to the desired bolt. From the side of the sash, it is easier to approach the bolt if the sash is fully open. Otherwise, the second option is preferable. The adjusting bolt also rotates to the right or left to move the lower part in the same direction.

Adjustment of the mechanism is carried out by turning the bolt clockwise or counterclockwise

Finally, you can move the top with the help of a bolt located on the “scissors” mechanism. You can only get to it if you open the window completely. You can find the desired hole on the side - it is slightly recessed. Then everything is the same - turn the bolt clockwise or counterclockwise, periodically monitoring the process. After that, it remains only to put the platbands in place and assemble the tool.

Conclusion

As you can see, self-adjusting plastic doors and windows is a rather simple matter. Even a non-professional can handle this. Fortunately, if you act carefully, nothing will be damaged in the process. If there are any difficulties, you can always get acquainted with the information on the official website of the manufacturer - perhaps you are dealing with some kind of non-standard fittings with their own characteristics.

Before each user of plastic products, after a long time of operation, a dilemma arises - how to adjust the plastic door? No matter how high the quality characteristics of the door and its components, which are designed to ensure the closing and opening of the PVC sash, after a certain time the mechanism, one way or another, will need to be adjusted.

If it is necessary to regulate a PVC door, it would be more rational to contact the relevant specialists, in particular, those who carried out its installation. But, unfortunately, such an opportunity is not always available, nevertheless, and the departure of the master is unlikely to be carried out on the day of the call.

In addition, mastering the skill on your own is not at all difficult, since the process of adjusting a plastic door is not something supernatural. Moreover, customizing plastic products is never a frequent procedure. Adjusting a plastic door is relevant only if you have a complaint about the functioning of the door.

The installation of a new plastic door also includes adjustment work, which is performed immediately, and for a long time after, the design should not cause unnecessary questions. But after a time of active use, the product will still need to adjust the mechanism, as a result of sagging, poor pressure or the inability to close the door.

Despite the excellent quality and confidence of the door installation company, it is recommended to personally observe the adjustment process to make sure that the adjustment of the plastic doors is correct.

Upon completion of the work related to the establishment of the hinges of the plastic structure, pay attention to the following points:

  • the frame should be pressed tightly against the box around the perimeter;
  • opening and closing the door should be easy, without additional effort, without squeaks;
  • use the building level to check the verticality of the door;
  • check the arbitrary opening and closing of the sash. To do this, you need to open the door halfway, when checking to exclude the effects of wind and draft.

Frequent damage to the plastic door

The most common product defects are:

  • Touching the lower edge of the sash with a part of the frame that functions as a threshold. This occurs as a result of the sliding of the sash under the action of its own weight;
  • Cloth touching the middle of the frame. The basis for this is the direct shifting of the sash under the influence of various deformations, as well as temperature;
  • Poor clamping of the sash to the frame, as a result of wear of the seal;
  • Staggering and falling out of the socket of the door handle.

Initially, it may seem that adjusting a plastic door is a complicated procedure based on the options for possible malfunctions. But in fact, you just need to understand which mechanism needs to be tuned, and the instructions below will help you in troubleshooting your own problems associated with a plastic product.

Plastic structure adjustment

Before you start building a PVC door with your own hands, stock up on screwdrivers (regular, flat and Phillips), hex keys of various sizes, gaskets.

Competent instructions and the necessary tools will allow you to correctly complete the entire cycle with your own hands, and as a result, the adjustment of plastic doors will be successfully and safely performed.

Eliminate sagging sash

To eliminate such a breakdown, you should direct the canvas up and slightly move it towards the loop, which is higher. Open the sash, and with a hex key (4 mm), turn the screw on the end of the sash at the top, at the location of the hinges.

To move the sash, make about 1-2 turns in a clockwise direction. After that, close the sash and remove the protective cap from the hinges arranged below. Turn the screw on the upper hinges, slightly lifting the canvas. If the sash easily "walks", then the problem is solved.

Pressure control

Schemes for setting up hinges on a plastic door.

To adjust the clamping of the web to the frame, it is necessary to use a locking element. It is located inside the sash, and acts as eccentrics. The pins are adjusted with a special key and pliers.

Do-it-yourself pressure adjustment is carried out in the summer and winter periods, this is enough for the normal operation of the product. In winter, you should independently adjust a tighter and stronger pressure than in summer. It is necessary to press the sash to the frame from the side of the hinges by means of adjusting screws.

Horizontal setting

Correction of the operation of the plastic construction hinges can be carried out both in vertical and horizontal directions. For horizontal adjustment, first remove the door from the hinges at the top.

Then close it and lift the caps that hide the adjustment screws. To avoid skewing the product, tighten the long screw in the place of the upper hinges slightly with more force than at the bottom. To ensure the same movement of the sash, remove the trim from the hinges and tighten it by loosening the screws horizontally located in the door hinges.

Vertical looping

If it is necessary to raise or lower the product, adjust the mechanism vertically. There is an adjusting screw along the axis of the bottom hinge. To adjust the entrance plastic doors, a hex screwdriver (5 mm) is useful.

By turning the tool, the door can be slightly raised, and if the screwdriver is turned in the opposite direction, the structure will be lowered.

How to avoid frequent adjustments?

It will not be possible to completely get rid of door adjustment, but it is quite possible to make it less frequent. When purchasing a double-glazed window, take care of the fit of the fittings and the weight of the canvas.

The optimal weight of the sash is 100-130 kilograms.

Sagging of the structure under its own weight can be eliminated by mounting an auxiliary fitting element, which is called a sag compensator, better known as a "microlift".

Such a detail is simply necessary for the product, especially in the presence of a double-glazed window with impressive design dimensions. And if you correctly install the support rail with your own hands - the opening limiter, you can easily avoid jamming and sagging of the structure.

As you can see, adjusting a plastic door is not very difficult, if desired.
