Large driving schools usually provide positions such as secretary, sales manager, administrator, accountant.

The conclusion of labor agreements with personnel is necessary to obtain a license, but employees will actually be able to start working only after completing all the formalities.

Car park and autodrome

Driving lessons are carried out on specially equipped vehicles. The car is equipped with second pedals, rear-view mirrors and is registered with the traffic police as a training car.

A distinctive sign is installed on the training machine. These vehicles can be rented from instructors or purchased and converted to suit your requirements. In the first case, the maintenance and responsibility for the machines rests with the instructors. In the second case, it is necessary to hire a mechanic who inspects cars and a doctor who checks drivers before leaving, provide for a garage or parking lot.

A practical training site is most often rented or subleased with other driving schools, which allows you to somewhat reduce costs.

So, the premises and equipment have been prepared, the staff has been recruited. You can advertise and invite cadets to study.

How much will it cost to start a driving school?

If you draw up an “optimistic” business plan for a driving school, then the minimum amount of expenses for starting a business will be obtained under the following conditions:

renting ready-made classrooms with furniture and educational equipment (for example, a school office);
hiring instructors with their own cars;
driving platform sublease.

The payback of such a business with the full capacity of the training group will be 1.5-2 years.

The need to equip the premises (from 150,000 rubles), purchase and re-equip at least three cars at your own expense (from 1 million rubles) increases the cost of opening a driving school by 2 times.

According to some estimates, in order to open a driving school from scratch, it is necessary to spend at least 800,000 rubles in the economical version, and from 1.5 million rubles in the optimal one. The cost of building our own autodrome is about another 1 million rubles additionally.

However, a more “expensive” driving school has more prospects and ways to generate additional income. The presence of own premises, a sufficient number of training vehicles and staff allows you to simultaneously recruit several groups, conduct classes during the day according to the schedule (it may be more convenient for some students to study in the morning).

Own autodrome will pay for itself in 1.5-2 years if you give it a full load with your own cars, provide students with the opportunity to take additional practical lessons for a fee, and also rent the site to other driving schools.

You can organize extreme driving courses, training for the rights of other categories, the restoration of driving skills, individual lessons.

In addition, well-equipped classrooms, modern simulators, new cars generally contribute to the positive image of the driving school and give it a certain competitive advantage.

Despite the significant costs, working in the mode of full occupancy of training places will allow the driving school to pay for itself in about the same time as the "economy option".
