How to make a lamp from a bottle? Manufacturing order. Chandelier made of glass and plastic bottles The simplest chandelier made of plastic bottles

Decorating a home is a complex and responsible task that you can handle on your own. The peculiarity lies in the fact that some interior items can be created with your own hands. So, lamps are integral interior items that are used to illuminate the room as a whole or a separate area. The store offers a wide range of such products. But there are master classes on how to make a lamp with your own hands from a bottle. And now we will show them to you! :)

How to make a chandelier (master class!)

The main lighting device in the house is the chandelier. You can make it from an ordinary glass bottle. The main thing is that it will be exclusive.

To create such beauty you will need:

  • bottles (size and quantity depends on the preferences of the owners);
  • protective equipment (glasses, mask and gloves);
  • glass cutter and sandpaper;
  • screwdriver and wire.

Having at hand the necessary tools and materials, you can proceed to the direct manufacture of the chandelier:

1. Soak the bottle in water. This will make it easy to eliminate labels and debris. After cleaning, the container must be thoroughly dried.

Wash bottles and remove labels

2. Cut the bottle. The glass cutter is set at the required level. Cutting is carried out slowly, which will allow you to get a smooth cut line. Work with the cutter only in protective clothing. If the necessary tool is not at hand, then cutting a glass bottle is easily done with a thread. The video below clearly demonstrates this.

3. Now bottle under the tap. Turn on hot water and hold the workpiece under it. Hot water is alternated with cold. As a result of sudden changes in temperature, an unnecessary piece will fall off exactly along the cut line.

We process glass under water

4. The cut point is processed sandpaper. The cut must be even and smooth.

Finishing the edges with sandpaper

5. Using a screwdriver, the lamp is disassembled. The wire must be carefully pulled out and passed through the neck, assemble the lamp back and check it in operation.

We stretch the wire through the bottle

6. It remains only to decorate the lighting fixture. For this, ordinary wire is used. Starting from the neck, we wind it around the bottle. For this, any material is used. It can be plain black or colored wire.

We decorate the bottle

The chandelier hanger is ready. It remains only to install it. If desired, the product can be painted and given any design. The main thing is that it is organically combined with the interior of the room.

Glass bottle chandelier is ready

A good solution would be to use a glass stone. In this case, it should be borne in mind that the light transmission of the product will decrease slightly. For decoration, a stone of various shades is used. You can combine several shades. The main thing is that the lamp looks organic.

Bottle decor with glass stones

The stones are attached to the glass with glue. The lamp can be used only after its complete drying. This will take no more than a day. Complete drying of the glue will ensure reliable adhesion of the stone to the surface. It is better to use an adhesive composition that can withstand temperature changes.

  1. Mark a hole on the workpiece through which the wire will pass. Stick a patch on the mark.
  2. Place the bottle on an old towel and drill a hole for the wire. Drilling is carried out using a diamond drill. The work is carried out in protective equipment.
  3. Soak the finished bottle in water and remove all stickers and dirt.
  4. A wire is passed through the hole and stretched to the neck. At the exit, it connects to the cartridge.
  5. Attach the cartridge and lampshade to the neck.

Work process

Homemade glass bottle table lamp is ready. It remains only to check it in operation. If desired, the product can be decorated and decorated. For this, various technologies and materials are used. Glass stones will be an original solution, especially if a glass chandelier made using the previous master class is installed in the room.

Now you know how to make a bottle lamp. Most often, wine bottles are used for the manufacture of such devices. They have different sizes and shapes. This allows you to build an exclusive item that will become a decoration for the room.

Plastic lamp (MK)

Plastic bottles are also widely used for the manufacture of lamps. The peculiarity of this product lies in the ease of installation and lightness. It is easy to make such a lamp from plastic bottles with your own hands. Today, there are several technologies that create original lighting fixtures. Let's start with a simple method.

To make a lamp you will need:

  • 5 liter plastic bottle;
  • stationery knife;
  • glue;
  • disposable spoons.

Manufacturing process:

1. With a knife the bottom is cut off. The cut must be even. In the future, this will simplify the work with decoration.

Cut off the bottom of the bottle

2. Handles cut off spoons. With the help of glue, the convex parts are glued to the workpiece. You need to start from the neck. Each subsequent row should overlap the previous one.

You can make such an unusual and simply beautiful chandelier with your own hands using multi-colored plastic bottles! We offer you a master class ...

We will need:

- plastic bottles of different colors at your discretion,
- scissors,
- soldering iron for processing leaves,
- thin wire for twisting twigs,
- steel wire for the frame

We cut the eggplants into pieces - the size depends on the leaves you have conceived. Then we give each piece the shape of a leaf, only your imagination is needed here ... I did something in the likeness of birch leaves.

We turn on the soldering iron. It is better to take a soldering iron with a thick tip (so there are more chances to hit the cut of the leaf, and not the fingers))), with a one-sided bevel ...

We melt the slices, so the leaves look more impressive, especially in the light of a light bulb. We also draw veins on the leaves with the edge of the sting, but carefully - they quickly melt through)))

Since the eggplants themselves are cylindrical, the leaves are not flat. The trick is that from heating with a soldering iron they warp in an unknown direction, so they look very good in the end)))

Now you need to melt with a hot needle in each leaf a couple of holes for wires. One hole is not enough, because the leaf will dangle as it pleases, under the influence of the force of gravity, but we still need the leaves to stick out the way we want)

We take a thin wire for twigs (I have a copper one, from a Soviet stabilizer))) cut into pieces 15-20 cm long. We take a leaf and thread a wire into it from hole to hole with a figure eight) ... near the leaf we twist the ends of the wires by 10-15 mm. On one of the ends we string the next leaf, starting from the extreme hole, and so on - we string, twist ...

Well, how to form the branch itself, everyone scatters it with their brains, depending on what you want ... leave the ends of the wires at least 2 cm. Take the next wire, fold in half, hook on the last leaf and twist together with the tail from the previous wire, 2 centimeters -3 ... The branch becomes thicker, already in 4 wires ...) then form the branches at your discretion, naturally, the leaves should be alternated in size and color ...

Now we need to figure out the shape of the frame ...

For me personally, this turned out to be the most difficult ... I made it in the form of a sphere ... we must also take into account the fact that in this design there will also be a light bulb, the chandelier is still ... I made a frame just with a hole on top so that the cartridge crawled through.

For the frame, I took 5 pieces of steel wire 60-70 cm each. I bent them C-shaped and inserted them into the eggplant ring, leaving a 5-angle hole in the center - it turned out 10 branches ...

Well, now it’s necessary to wind the invented branches onto this structure ... It’s better to start from the bottom, and then we apply it according to the principle of tiles.

The frame had to be hung on a rope for the convenience of work - in the supine position, it seemed to me, it is simply impossible to assemble ...

The next important step is the method of attaching this creation to the ceiling. I didn’t bother, I hung it on a piece of steel wire and masked the electric wire and suspension with the same leaves ...

It looks, of course, very good even with the lamp on in the evening)))

We all love beautiful lamps. They are a great option for the visual transformation of the interior of almost any apartment. The most interesting thing is that it is not difficult to make a lamp from a bottle with your own hands. Let's look at several ways to implement such an unusual idea.

Original wine bottle lamp

DIY wine bottle lamp

Wine is one of the most popular alcoholic beverages in the world. There is no doubt that in almost every house at least one bottle is bought for every holiday.

This is interesting: After the wine is drunk, the container becomes unnecessary and is simply thrown away. Luckily, old bottles can be turned into interesting lamps that can add a magical touch to your living room or bedroom. They look especially beautiful in complete darkness. Let's find out how to make such a lamp!

Step-by-step instruction

1. Choose the right material. Collect all the empty wine bottles and choose a few of the same ones that you want to make a lamp out of. You can take different bottles, but in this case the composition will not be complete. They can be any color. A lamp made of a matte bottle and a brighter LED garland will look especially beautiful.

2.Remove the label. The label must be carefully removed from each bottle. For best results, use a sponge and warm water.

Washing wine bottles

3. We wash the bottles. They need to be well treated both outside and inside. After this step, leave the bottles to dry completely.

4. We outline a place for wires. It is necessary to mark the place from which the wires of our lamp will come out. It is better to make a hole in the side wall near the bottom. So your lamp will look much neater and more aesthetically pleasing.

5. Prepare water. We will need it in order to make a hole in the bottle.

6. Power tool. Prepare in advance the tool with which you will make our hole for the wires. In the best way for such painstaking work, a diamond crown is suitable. So you can do everything carefully, and the hole will turn out even.

Use clay to drill a hole

7. We use clay. We sculpt a cake from clay and apply it to the intended hole. During drilling, it will be necessary to occasionally slowly and carefully pour water into our hole. This is necessary so that the bottle does not overheat and crack.

8.Drilling. Drilling must be done very carefully so as not to spoil the bottle. After the end of this process, remove the clay and rinse the bottle again.

The hole must be sanded

9. Use sandpaper. In order for the hole to turn out smooth, you need to go through it with sandpaper. So you sharpen sharp edges and protect yourself from possible injury. This is also necessary in order not to damage the wires that will come out of this hole. Choose a piece of sandpaper with a grit of 150 mm.

10. Repeated cleaning of the bottle. After the work done, wash it again.

11. LED lights or garlands. Take LED lights or a garland. One-color lights will look beautiful. But you can use a multi-colored garland. It all depends on your preferences.

Insert the garland into the bottle through the hole

12. Place the lights in the bottle. Insert the garland into the bottle so that its plug comes out of the hole made.

13. Gasket in the opening of the bottle. You can use a special gasket to secure the wires. This is optional, but it will help prevent accidental damage to the wiring. In addition, with such a gasket, the appearance of the lamp will look much better.

Insert rubber gasket

14. Fix the wires. After installing the gasket, you need to fix the wires well.

15. Connect. After the work done, you can see what you got. Plug in your brand new lamp. If you don't like how the garland looks, you can gently straighten it. In order not to have to disassemble the lamp, take a thin stick and eliminate the flaws with it.

Wine bottle lamp ready

16. Done. You can decorate the bottle with decorative ribbons or strings (optional). We hope you are satisfied with the result!

Video. Glass bottle lamp in 3 minutes

There is an even easier way to create a glass bottle lamp - without drilling a hole. We offer video tutorial:

DIY plastic bottle lamp

A rather unusual lamp can be made independently from simple plastic water bottles. Such a craft will look really unique and original. Finding analogues is not easy.

Original lamp made of plastic bottles

Necessary materials to create a lamp

To make a lamp according to the scheme below, you will need several plastic bottles of various sizes. So, for the base, you can use a large bottle, for example, a five-liter one. And for additional decor - smaller bottles. It is important that they have the same color and size.

The basis for the lamp from plastic bottles

In addition to the bottles themselves, you will also need to prepare an electric cartridge, a wire of sufficient length, a plug and the light bulb itself.

Important information: Traditional incandescent lamps are not a good option for our luminaire. The fact is that in the process of heating the glass, the plastic can begin to melt, releasing an extremely unpleasant odor. In the worst case, it can even lead to a fire. To make a lamp from plastic bottles at home, you need to purchase only halogen bulbs (economical). Their plus is that during operation, strong heating is not observed.

Bottle lamp layout

Step one: preparing the base for the lamp

The basis of the lamp will be a large plastic bottle or a five-liter bottle. It is necessary to cut off the lower part (bottom) from it. We leave the top of the container intact, an electric wire will be passed through the neck later.

Marked base for the lamp

Then you need to measure the diameter of the necks of other plastic bottles that will be used for decoration. You can simply attach them to the main container and draw circles of the appropriate size with a marker. It is advisable to increase the diameter by a few millimeters so that later you can screw the bottles into the side holes without any problems.

Holes in bottle lamp

Helpful Hint: The easiest way to cut holes for side bottles is to use a construction wallpaper cutter. But if it is not there, you can use ordinary sharp scissors.

Step Two: Preparing Plastic Bottles for Decor

Plastic containers for decor are prepared as follows. First, their bottom is cut off, then the workpiece is evenly cut into thin strips (you can see the approximate thickness in the photo). The strips are cut down to the very neck - the thickest part of the plastic bottle.

We cut the bottle for the decoration of the lamp

Then each workpiece is heated over a gas burner to a state of melting, it is given a disorderly and chaotic appearance. It is not difficult to do this. Firstly, narrow strips of plastic in any case, under the influence of high temperatures, begin to change their shape, bending in the most bizarre way. If you want to correct the shape, use special tweezers or pliers.

Cut bottle for lamp decor

Step three: assemble the lamp

After melting, all prepared blanks from bottles are carefully screwed into the base. It remains to make a small hole in the base cover with a heated soldering iron, a special burner, or any other available method.

Reflow of plastic bottles for plastic bottle light

An electrical wire is threaded through this hole, it is connected to the cartridge. And for ease of use, you can also attach a loop folded from wire. So the lamp will be conveniently hung in the right place.

We insert bottles for decoration into the holes

At the last stage, an electric plug is screwed to the second end of the wire, and a halogen bulb is inserted into the threaded cartridge. That's all - an unusual lamp made of plastic bottles is ready to use. Hang it by the loop, plug it in and check it out!

We insert the cartridge

If you like the result, you can try to make a few more similar home lamps using plastic bottles of various colors for them. It will turn out decorative and very attractive lighting, which, due to the special decor, will reflect non-standard on the walls and ceiling of your room.

Despite the variety of high-quality mass-produced goods, exclusive products of individual design and hand-assembled do not lose their demand. Even bottles can be used in certain designs of household utensils. Some craftsmen even manage to build houses from them. But a quite nice table lamp from a bottle can become a highlight of the office interior. After all, the owner made it himself, with his own hands! This is always a pleasure to show guests. But if one simpler lighting device has already been made, it is worth creating a chandelier from bottles for the kit.

A chandelier design with a lampshade is best suited for a "bottle" chandelier. After all, a bottle can serve as a lampshade for a light bulb in this lampshade. Next, we offer our readers several designs that you can use in your own projects. Repeat them completely or be inspired by something else - this is how it will turn out. But they are sure to be useful.

Bar option

A restaurant or a bar is the best place to implement various bottle projects. Empty bottles appear regularly and in more than sufficient quantities. And a chandelier from them will not only be, as they say, "in the theme", but can also become a local landmark that visitors will remember. But to do that, she has to impress. Therefore, it needs to be made larger. There are many options for such a project. On the basis of only beer bottles, you can build a wide variety of lamps.

In addition, the spatial arrangement of each bottle will give the chandelier a well-marked distinctive feature. But in order for the design to be optimal, it is recommended to focus on the bottles of drinks most often sold in this bar or restaurant. And the design itself should be simplified as much as possible. To do this, you can, for example, make a rectangular or round frame on which lampholders and places in the form of rings for installing bottles will be made.

The frame can be ordered from specialists in the manufacture of metal fences or in any other place for the implementation of such products. It will turn out a prefabricated structure, which can fundamentally change its appearance from time to time by using new combinations of bottles of different colors. What can come out of such an idea is shown in the image below.

plastic lampshade

A chandelier of whole bottles is colored by their quantity. Then, in their mass, they lose their intended purpose and become similar to the real details of the lamp. But for an apartment, such a chandelier is likely to be too big. Nevertheless, the "bottle" idea can be used in a plastic version. After all, plastic bottles come in different colors. But most importantly, their convenience as the basis for a lampshade is the possibility of easy modification. Thin plastic is easily cut and changes its appearance when heated.

Therefore, a plastic bottle is an excellent raw material for various lampshade elements, which can be assembled by analogy with factory chandeliers from crystal or glass parts. One of the simplest and most aesthetic forms of such bottle details can be leaves. Moreover, if their color scheme is limited by the color of the plastic used in bottles, it is possible to get more variety by cutting out leaves of various shapes. First you need to cut blanks with scissors, convenient for cutting leaves. For additional processing you need a soldering iron. And to obtain assembly compositions - wire.

Scissors should be used well sharpened, and periodically restore their ability to cut plastic. Although it is thin, it is much harder than paper. Therefore, a long cut will require a lot of effort, but it is not really needed if the size of the leaves is made small. Scissors need to be taken a little more than nail scissors, and if they are dull, we take thin fine sandpaper and cut it. From this scissors are well sharpened. We cut plastic with sharp scissors and get such leaves as your heart desires.

A soldering iron may be required to improve the appearance of the edges. It is recommended to connect it through a dimmer in order to select the optimal temperature for the plastic used. This is most relevant for the formation of veins on the foliage. The leaves are very cute, realistic and colorful. In each of them, with a thin drill with a diameter slightly larger than that of the wire, a hole is made for stringing. If the craftsman is confident in the hardness of his hand, the holes can be melted with a copper vein wound on a soldering iron tip. But at the same time it is easy to spoil the roundness and dimensions of the hole.

Branches are made from ready-made leaves by stringing them on pieces of wire. They can be formed at your own discretion by any. But at the same time, it is recommended not to overdo it with the number of overlapping leaves on top of each other. For it can turn out to be just a mess in which their interesting shapes and colors are lost. In addition, the more layers of plastic, the worse the light source will be visible.

It remains to make a chandelier frame from a sufficiently thick wire and fix the bulb holders in it. The "leafy" version looks best in the shape of a ball. Moreover, in this style, not only a chandelier can be made, but also a wall lamp or a floor lamp. It is difficult to say in advance with certainty how well or badly the light will spread through such a lampshade. Therefore, one must be prepared for some improvement according to the test results.

Most likely, the concentration of "foliage" will have to be somewhat reduced. As a light source with a plastic spherical lampshade, an LED filament bulb or a corn-type model is best combined. They shine fairly evenly in all directions, and therefore such a chandelier looks good. It is better to use one light bulb in a spherical chandelier. It is more beautiful when the light is concentrated in the center of the sphere. It is necessary to select the power according to the maximum required illumination, and regulate the intermediate states with a dimmer.

You can also use an energy-saving light bulb. But at the same time, we must remember that not all of them can work with a dimmer. And since this is required, you need to buy only the model on the packaging of which the possibility of dimming is indicated.

Express chandelier for country kitchen

The proposed options for home-made chandeliers cannot be done quickly. But there is an urgent need to get better lighting than just from a light bulb without any ceiling or lampshade. This situation can be either with new settlers, or in the country. A single light bulb hanging on a wire from the ceiling can be quickly turned into a chandelier. A plastic bottle is suitable for this purpose. A part with a bottom is cut off from it. The rest will be the ceiling. If the bottle is made of white plastic (for dairy products), it can generally be peeled off the label and used without any decoration.

A transparent plastic bottle can be designed to reduce the light flux coming from the bulb to the sides. One of the design options is based on gluing a colored rope or knitting woolen thread on the outside. To keep this decorative shell, PVA glue is used. It is applied in a small amount and smeared with a brush.

You can glue the thread the way you like best - either on the entire surface, or in rings of the same or different colors. After that, a wire with the ends stripped of insulation is threaded through the neck. A socket is mounted to it for screwing in a light bulb. It remains safe to turn off the voltage, mount the wire of the resulting chandelier with ceiling wiring and screw the light bulb into the cartridge. That's all. The chandelier is ready to use.

We hope that your own developments based on the proposed solutions will bring you many benefits and positive emotions. We wish our readers successful creativity.

One of the main elements of interior decor is a chandelier. With its appearance, it gives the room a special zest and style, and with its lighting it will create coziness, mood and harmony.

Today, there are many different chandeliers, but not everyone will be able to pick up something of their own ... Do not be disappointed, because you can create such an important decor element yourself ... For example, you can make a chandelier from plastic bottles with your own hands!

The process of creating a chandelier is very simple, it will only require a little time, perseverance and imagination.

Tools and materials for making a chandelier from plastic bottles:

- plastic 5 l. bottle;
— plastic 2 l. bottles;
- wire;
- stationery knife or scissors;
- transparent glue;
- tweezers;
- candle;
- decorative decoration.

To start with 5l. bottles neatly, evenly cut off the neck.

Then cut off the bottom.

The height of the chandelier can be very diverse, it depends on the preferences of each.
After, the preparation of the chandelier turned out.

Their sizes also depend on the preferences of each, in this case the pieces turned out to be an average of 3-4 cm. Thanks to the diverse color palette of plastic bottles, with a touch of a chandelier, as well as their combination, you can safely experiment ...

After the 2-liter plastic bottles have turned into no small pile of particles, they need to be given a peculiar shape with a candle. To do this, take one piece of plastic with tweezers and hold it over a burning candle.

As a result of deformation, a nice curved particle will turn out.

The lower edge of the product can also be held a little over the candle, as a result of which it will also turn out to be wavy, which looks very nice!

Then, it is necessary to glue the resulting deformed plastic pieces onto the surface of the chandelier. Glue must be transparent! It is applied in stripes to a small section of the chandelier.

After that, wavy particles are attached to it.

They should be glued quite tightly for a more expressive and “lush” effect. The result is a very beautiful “airy” surface…

And when the lights are on, they shimmer beautifully!

After all the pieces of plastic are glued to the craft, you need to attach a cartridge with a light bulb.

You can also decorate the craft with some small decorative element, for example, a butterfly from a plastic bottle.

That's all, the original "airy" chandelier made of plastic bottles is ready!

The final look of the craft. Photo 1.

The final look of the craft. Photo 2.

It looks great in natural light and sunlight, and with (artificial) lighting on, it will give the room a kind of glare and a pleasant subdued light. Such an unusual chandelier will be a great addition to the interior of your room!
