Chandeliers in the kitchen are beautiful and comfortable. Chandeliers for the kitchen (37 photos): original and stylish models. Wooden chandeliers for the kitchen

Lighting is an important part of any interior. Proper organization of lighting in the kitchen will make it more comfortable, attractive and convenient. To achieve this, you need a good chandelier that fully meets all modern quality requirements.

The choice of this important interior detail depends on the style of the kitchen, its size, the presence of natural light, and other characteristics. What chandeliers for the kitchen to choose? Before buying, you should read some recommendations from professional designers.

The chandelier must correspond to the area of the room in which it will be installed. A huge lamp will look extremely inappropriate in a small kitchen, just as a too modest small chandelier will be “lost” in a spacious room. To successfully emphasize the interior created in the kitchen, you should look at the lamp, which will harmoniously fit into the environment.

Modern chandeliers in the kitchen, their types

Manufacturers offer the following designs of chandeliers for the kitchen:

Hanging chandeliers- such designs can consist of one or several shades at once, which are attached to the ceiling with a chain, cord or string. For the kitchen, lamps with a lampshade are most often chosen, which are installed directly above the dining table.

Classic chandelier for the kitchen- looks very harmonious in rooms with high ceilings, emphasizes the nobility and sophistication of the interior, makes any room more solemn and luxurious. This design may look somewhat pretentious, it can become a real decoration of the interior.

Ceiling chandeliers- a great solution for rooms with a low ceiling, they are not at all bulky and look almost weightless, while filling every corner of the room with bright light.

For the manufacture of shades of these designs, matte or completely transparent materials are used. Their shape, most often, is geometrically correct and strict, but you can also find more original design options - ceiling-mounted chandeliers in the form of a flower, star, crown, and so on.

How to choose a pendant lamp style

Choosing the style of the chandelier itself, first of all, you should consider the overall style of the kitchen interior. It is from him that you should build on, choosing a product made from a certain material:

Kitchen in classic style- a traditional decoration of such a room will be a pendant chandelier made of crystal (the room should be high enough), or a ceiling-mounted glass chandelier in the form of a flower.

Retro style kitchen- it is worth taking a closer look at the lamps made of bronze. It is recommended to choose designs with scuffs, you can even buy an artificially aged product. Such a chandelier does not have to look modern and brand new.

Art Nouveau kitchen- you can pick up a pendant lamp made of modern materials (plastic, light metal, glass) for it. In this case, you can show all your imagination. A chandelier in a modern kitchen can be suspended or ceiling-mounted, made of a variety of materials, have any unusual shape and color.

Provence style kitchen- the elegance of such a room will be emphasized by the ceramic construction. Chandeliers in the Provence style kitchen can also be made of glass, copper and bronze. An abundance of forged elements is welcome.

Country style kitchen- an ideal option for a lamp will be a product in the form of a street lamp with metal elements. The design can be made in the form of a wooden wheel with light bulbs stylized as candles installed around its perimeter. Attach it to the ceiling with chains.

Loft style kitchen- in this case, you can not limit the flight of fancy and choose the lamps of the most daring modern designs from natural or synthetic materials. For a spacious room with a high ceiling, it is recommended to choose a large pendant lamp, which is attached to the ceiling with special chains or strings.

High-tech kitchen- when choosing chandeliers for a high-tech kitchen, you should look at the laconic designs made of glass and metal, without decorative elements and unnecessary details.

Features of the materials from which chandeliers are made for the kitchen

Each material has its own advantages and characteristics, it also affects the life of the product, its reliability and strength. When choosing a lamp for the kitchen, you should consider all the characteristics of the material:

  • Metal and its modern alloys - lamps, the base of which is made of such materials, are durable and strong, but metal is not combined with some interior styles.
  • Glass - chandeliers made of this material look simple and elegant, they do not require special care, they do not lend themselves to deformation under the influence of external factors, but they have increased fragility.
  • Plastic is the cheapest material, so a plastic chandelier is affordable and can look quite interesting. However, this material is short-lived, it burns out, darkens and undergoes other changes in a short time of operation.
  • Textile - this material is short-lived, it fades in the sun, tears and quickly loses its visual appeal.
  • Crystal is the most elegant material that can transform even the most modest kitchen. A crystal chandelier can look appropriate in any interior, not only in a classic one.

What color to choose for a chandelier in the kitchen

The shade of the chandelier that will be installed in the kitchen is very important. If the room is small, you should give preference to a pastel or white lamp. In a spacious room, a bright hanging chandelier, or several of these products at once, will look great.

In order for the kitchen to look harmonious, and its lighting to be convenient, it is necessary to take into account many different nuances. However, first of all, you should be guided by the general style of the interior, as well as your own taste preferences.

red chandelier- such a design will become the main accent and the main decoration of the room. It will look most appropriate in rooms whose interior is furnished in baroque or glamor styles. It is very important that the red color is present in such an interior in strictly limited quantities. Ideally, if the entire room is done in white or beige tones.

Green chandelier in the kitchen- will become an excellent decoration of any room, enliven it, bring a touch of sophistication and freshness. In the interior with a green chandelier in the kitchen, there may be shades of yellow, orange, brown. You can choose white as the main tone.

Green also goes well with black elements. A green chandelier mounted above the table in the kitchen will add intimacy to the room, make it more comfortable. Such a room will become a favorite gathering place for all family members.

white chandelier- this design is suitable for installation in a small room. An excellent solution is a white chandelier in the kitchen, the interior of which is made in a classic style. However, this design is suitable for all existing styles.

This is a win-win option that should be used if the lamp is needed now, but the general concept of the kitchen interior has not yet been fully thought out.

black chandelier- a rather non-standard and bold solution, which is not suitable for every room. It is worth choosing such a chandelier for a kitchen, the interior of which is decorated in the Baroque or Gothic style.

This design will create a dramatic effect and become an unusual detail of the interior, which will be difficult not to pay attention to. In addition, with the help of a black chandelier, you can emphasize the snow-white ceiling and successfully set off all the white surfaces present in the kitchen.

purple chandelier- an unusual interior element, very bright and dominant. This design should be chosen when creating a kitchen in the style of glamor, baroque, or oriental style. You should not abuse this shade, it is better to use it in limited quantities, as an additional, rather than the main shade.

Turquoise, blue or blue chandelier- such shades are among the most popular when it comes to choosing a lamp for the kitchen. They look fresh and harmonious in almost any interior. A particularly successful combination is a classic chandelier for the kitchen. Recently, turquoise-colored lamps made in the form of beads have been in fashion. They will decorate the kitchen in the art deco style.

yellow chandelier- You can rarely see it in the interior of the kitchen. Despite the brightness of the yellow tint, such a lamp does not look very expressive. However, it can be used in the interior of the kitchen, the overall color scheme of which is a combination of different shades of gray with white. Hanging chandeliers for the kitchen, made in yellow, will be clearly visible only against the background of fairly light walls.

Chandelier for a small kitchen - selection rules

In a small room with high ceilings, high ceiling chandeliers should be installed. Ceiling and suspended structures will be extremely inappropriate - they will make the kitchen even more bulky and cramped.

For narrow or elongated rooms, lamps with small shades and long suspensions are perfect. Another good solution for arranging a compact kitchen is to use numerous spotlights installed around its entire perimeter. A kitchen without a chandelier will look more spacious, filled with light and air.

If the room is equipped with a glossy stretch ceiling, a lamp model with several open LED bulbs is ideal for it. They will reflect on the glossy surface, flickering and creating a very interesting effect.

In addition, this design visually enlarges a small room. It is very important that the entire small kitchen is furnished in white. The stretch ceiling on it should be white.

The most popular manufacturers of modern chandeliers: the epitome of luxury, Tiffany, popular in Europe and fairly budgetary Ikea, German manufacturer of quality models RegenBogen. Lamps made in Poland and the Czech Republic are also very popular.

In modern interior design, every detail matters. Whether it's a chair or a wall clock, it doesn't matter. One incorrectly selected element and that's it - the harmony is broken! Chandeliers in the kitchen in a modern style require the same attention as the facade itself or even the exterior finish, for example.

What kind of chandelier to choose in the kitchen? We'll find out today. Get ready, there will be a lot of creative ideas!

Chandeliers in the interior of the kitchen

As for the location of the chandelier in the kitchen, there are several nuances and rules.

  • Get creative

In Soviet kitchens, chandeliers were usually located right in the center of the room. At that time, no one bothered about their design and they served as the only source of alternative lighting. Time passed, but even now, many housewives have a tendency to an amorphous attitude towards kitchen chandeliers.

Remember, light accents in design are very important! With their help, you can create a pleasant atmosphere and visually enlarge the room.

ADVICE: place hanging chandeliers in the interior of the kitchen so that they are in the dining area or above the kitchen island (if any). Above the work surface, it is better to use spot lighting (bulbs "eyes").

  • Be mindful of size

In a small kitchenette, a huge Victorian chandelier is unlikely to be appropriate. Consider this.

In this case, it is better to purchase several ceiling lamps and place them to your liking.

  • Comfort and safety

Be that as it may, the kitchen is a workplace. This means that the chandelier will quickly become dirty, dusty and covered with grease. Try to choose lamps of such a design that you can take care of them without any problems.

Chandeliers with fan for kitchen

If practicality is your thing, opt for a hybrid design. Kitchen fan chandeliers are a functional classic that will never go out of style.

Advantages:

  • Accelerates the air, causing it to circulate evenly throughout the kitchen.
  • Easy to install.
  • Trouble-free in operation. It does not require special care.

Disadvantages:

  • Not suitable for stretch ceilings as the vibration sound of the fan motor will be amplified. This can create unpleasant sound effects.

Suitable for country, loft, boho, grunge, rustic and pin-up styles.

Wooden chandeliers for the kitchen

Very trendy and modern solution. The shape and design of wooden lamps are quite diverse. This means that they will fit almost any interior.

A good solution would be to install wooden chandeliers for the kitchen in the style of rustic, eco, Scandinavian, steampunk, loft, etc.

Crystal chandelier in the kitchen

Crystal is a very fragile and delicate material. It is rarely used in the interior of the kitchen, but if you are sure that the design of the kitchen space will not be completed without such a chandelier, go ahead, to new achievements!

So, a crystal chandelier in the kitchen is suitable for Art Nouveau, Biedermeier, Venetian, vintage and Italian styles. Alternative designs of crystal lamps can harmoniously fit into a modern style or even high-tech.

Best of all, a crystal chandelier will look over the dining table. This will give the interior lightness and extra chic.

Chandelier with lampshade for the kitchen

A fairly common solution for the kitchen. However, be aware that a fabric lampshade will get dirty quickly, so try to choose a material that is easy to care for.

ATTENTION: due to its structure, the lampshade chandelier does not diffuse light well. If you have made a choice in favor of just such a design, you should provide additional sources of lighting for the kitchen.

A chandelier with a lampshade for the kitchen is suitable for styles: boho, modern, Biedermeier, Provence and vintage.

High-tech chandelier in the kitchen

Such chandeliers can be safely called masterpieces. Just look how they enliven the interior, adding that very zest to the kitchen!

Incredible streamlined shapes, metal shades and LED lamps immerse you in the space atmosphere of the high-tech age.

ADVICE: for a high-tech kitchen, choose a huge pendant chandelier on thin metal cords. This will give the impression that the structure is floating in the air. Great visual effect!

Chandelier in the kitchen on a stretch ceiling

Chandeliers in the kitchen in a modern style can be installed on a stretch ceiling as well. There are almost no contraindications. There are only two things to consider - these are the types of mounting and the distance of the lamps from the ceiling itself.

In the first case, the chandelier should be mounted on a stretch ceiling on a mounting hook or special strips. In the second, it is very important to remember that if ordinary incandescent lamps are installed too close to the ceiling surface, they can ruin it. Choose from LED or LED lighting.

The beauty of stretch ceilings is that the light from the lamp is reflected on its glossy surface, beautifully dispersing around the entire perimeter of the kitchen.

ADVICE: make a choice in favor of chandeliers that will direct light to the ceiling as well.

DIY chandelier in the kitchen

If you want to turn your kitchen design into something truly masterpiece, make your own chandelier. It's quite simple, honestly!

Chandeliers for the kitchen in a modern style can be created with your own hands, and under any of the interior styles. In this case, even junk material can turn into a beautiful, stylish lamp.

Paper, fabric, wood, animal horns, empty bottles or even beads - all this can be useful to create a future masterpiece.

Let's take a look at one of the examples.

Chandeliers in the kitchen in a modern style from kitchen utensils

  • Tea-set

Old cups and teapots can be turned into a chandelier by simply attaching them to a metal frame with silicone glue. Drill holes in the cup, thread the cord and install the chuck. Voila, the lamp is ready!

  • Spoons and forks

Take a wooden beam, cover it with stain and generously wrap it with wires with light bulbs. Then, using construction glue, attach the kitchen utensils to the tree in random order. Beauty, right?

  • Bottles and jars

We attach the glass container to the frame according to the principle described above and place the cartridges with lamps inside the jar or bottle. Here you have a super chandelier!

A chandelier is a rather important element of any modern kitchen. It not only creates the lighting needed for cooking and eating, but is also a prominent part of any interior.

Types of chandeliers for modern kitchens

Manufacturers offer a huge selection of chandeliers of various designs, so choosing the right model that fits perfectly into the interior of the kitchen is not difficult.

Hanging chandeliers

They are a structure that consists of one or more ceiling lamps attached to a chain, cord or string.

Most often for kitchens choose a model in the form of a lamp with a lampshade.

They hang it in the middle of the room, above.

Materials for the manufacture of ceiling lamps for hanging chandeliers can be different - manufacturers often use plastic, fabric, glass, and even plain paper.

The stylistic solutions and forms of such lamps are also striking in variety.

Hanging chandeliers can be called a universal option.

ceiling chandeliers

This is a great solution if the kitchen has too low a ceiling.

The luminaire is attached directly to the ceiling, the cord is either very short or absent altogether. Plafonds are made of transparent or translucent glass, they can be colored or white.

Most often, such chandeliers have a strict geometric shape in the form of a square or a circle, but there are also original models made in the form of a flower, crown, tree, and so on.

Classic chandeliers

Such lamps look expensive and solid, their forms are distinguished by elegance and grace, combined with a certain pretentiousness.

Expensive materials are used for manufacturing: copper, bronze, glass, crystal, gilding may also be present.

What material is ideal for a kitchen chandelier

Choosing a chandelier for the kitchen, you need to decide what material the lamp will be made of. Designers are advised to give preference to more expensive and high-quality material, if the chandelier hangs low enough, then it will survive accidental touches or even bumps.

In addition, a low-hanging chandelier should look attractive not only from the outside, but also from the inside.

If the lamp is located high enough, you can opt for a cheaper material - for example, replace the crystal chandelier with glass or even plastic.

The material from which the luminaire is made must be non-marking and have water and dirt-repellent qualities. The fact is that the level of humidity is increased in the kitchen, in addition, splashes of fat can form.

For these reasons, a glass or plastic lamp model will be most preferable, rather than a fabric or paper one.

If the chandelier is made of natural wood, it must be varnished.

The most impractical are lamps made of paper, since it is absolutely impossible to clean them of dirt without damaging them. And paper lamps are very large - this is done so that the lamp is as far away from the paper as possible, so this option is not suitable for small kitchens.

If the kitchen is spacious enough and made in such styles as “classic”, “Provence”, “Mediterranean” or “country”, you can choose a forged chandelier model. However, it must be taken into account that it will be necessary to clean its numerous curls quite often, as dirt will constantly accumulate in them.

The best choice for a kitchen fixture, no matter what style it is, are glass models that are very easy to care for.

What is more suitable for the kitchen - spotlights
or a chandelier?

It is rather difficult to answer this question unambiguously. The choice in favor of a chandelier or spotlights will depend on several parameters.

For example, what size is the kitchen, and in what style is its interior.

If the room is spacious, it will be difficult to do without spotlights on it. At the same time, you should not refuse the main chandelier, it should take its place in the center of the kitchen, right above the dining table.

If the room is small, it is quite possible to get by with one lamp, although it will not be very convenient to cook in the evenings in such a kitchen without additional lighting of the stove and work surface.

If the interior is made in, while the room is spacious enough, you can install a bulky hanging chandelier with a wooden frame, forging elements and chains.

Its plafond (or plafonds) can be quite large. The shade of such a chandelier should match the shade of the furniture. You can organize spot lighting in such a kitchen using small sconces made in the form of hanging lanterns or candlesticks.

For a kitchen, the interior of which is made in the style or "minimalism", spotlights of the most concise design, made of metal and glass, are perfect. They can be placed around the entire perimeter of the ceiling, as well as at the bottom of the lower facades of the headset (for lighting work surfaces). There is no need to use a large chandelier in this case.

If the kitchen is made in the style of "country", "Mediterranean" or "Provence", you can use both suspended and ceiling models, preferably with colored transparent or translucent glass inserts. Spot lighting can be used if you make it invisible, that is, hide the lamps themselves.

Installation of a chandelier on stretch ceilings

Very often, stretch ceilings are installed in modern dwellings, the only drawback of which is that they categorically do not accept heating. When choosing a lamp for a kitchen with a stretch ceiling, this criterion should definitely be taken into account.

Fortunately, manufacturers offer a huge range of all kinds of chandeliers, so choosing the right model is not difficult.

When choosing a “dish” ceiling lamp, you need to make sure that special metal diffusers are installed above the lamps, reflecting the emitted light not onto the ceiling, but onto the floor.

Thus, the stretch ceiling will not heat up and retain its original appearance. You can also simply place the ceiling at a safe distance from the ceiling.

Many people choose a glossy stretch ceiling for their kitchen, which perfectly reflects light and visually makes the room more spacious.

In this case, it is important to consider that such a surface will reflect not only light, but also the insides of the chandelier itself. Thus, it is better to refuse to install a classic carob design on a glossy ceiling. Or you should opt for a model whose horns are directed downwards.

When choosing a luminaire for installation on a stretch ceiling, you should follow the manufacturer's recommendations regarding the power limits of light bulbs. They should not be more powerful than 60 watts, so as not to melt the stretched fabric when heated.

If the bulbs are halogen, their power limit is 35 watts, as they heat up even more. It is best to choose light bulbs, the use of which does not provide for power restrictions - for example, energy-saving ones that are not subject to increased heat.

An excellent solution for a kitchen with a stretch ceiling is LED lamps. They practically do not heat up, so the risk of damaging the tension coating is completely absent. In addition, in this case, it is possible, at your own discretion, to choose shades of the light flux, which can be “warm” or “cold”.

Chandeliers of any design can be attached to a stretch ceiling. Mounting methods can be laid on, or using a suspension.

Regardless of the chosen method, the installation of a luminaire on a tension cover should be entrusted to a specialist. It is important to remember that all operations aimed at preparing the mounting platform should be carried out even before stretching the ceiling.

How to choose a lamp for the kitchen

Designers have determined the basic rules for choosing a lamp for the kitchen.

First you need to decide what kind of kitchen space should receive maximum lighting. To achieve the desired effect, it is recommended to purchase a luminaire equipped with a power control for lighting modes or light power. Thus, it will be possible to save on electricity, as well as more brightly illuminate the dining or work area.

If the design of the chandelier involves the use of several light bulbs, it is necessary to calculate their total power. Too dim or too bright a color is bad for the eyes, so the number of bulbs should be such that vision does not suffer.

To ease the load on the so-called "nest" of the lamp, you can use a chandelier with several horns. The more spacious the room, the more such "nests" will be required. Thus, it will be possible to comply with the norm of total illumination and regulate the flows of light at your own discretion.

What methods of fastening chandeliers exist

Hook mounting- the most popular way and one of the most reliable. It is performed quite simply: a hole of a suitable width is made in the ceiling covering, then a metal hook is screwed into it, on which the lamp itself is suspended. This method is good because it is not difficult to replace the chandelier with another model. The distance between the ceiling and the lamp is hidden in a special "glass".

Mounting plate- for hanging the chandelier, a special thin bar is used, which is tightly screwed to the ceiling. The installation process of this mount is more complicated, but it can be used to hide the wiring well, since the lamp is mounted very close to the ceiling itself.

cross plank- this is a very strong and reliable mount that can withstand the most massive and bulky chandeliers. Due to the width and thickness of the cross, the reliability of this design is greatly enhanced.

Wall mounting with screws or nails- this method is used when installing wall lamps and sconces. For this, special holes are provided in the product cases, while the fastening materials themselves are often sold as a kit.

This is primarily modern, hi-tech and minimalism. Distinctive features are a strict color scheme (no variegated colors, etc.), an emphasis on modern artificial materials (glass, metal, plastic), often unusual shapes built on geometric elements. An additional bonus can be additional lighting, remote control, motion sensors and some other features.

1.2. Classic style

Glass or fabric shades, pendants, brass or gilded frame - these are the most common features of the classics. But often the classics are simplified or diluted with modern elements, so some models can look very eclectic, although they fit perfectly into the classic interior of the kitchen. A truly classic chandelier is quite large, so installing it in a small kitchen will only reduce space.

1.3. Country, Provence

Chandeliers in this style emphasize the general mood of the entire kitchen with the help of wooden and forged elements, the use of aged shades or their absence at all. Instead of plafonds, in this case, decorative light bulbs are installed.

1.4. Tiffany

This style is just beginning to gain popularity. It got its name in honor of the stained glass artist of the same name. Accordingly, the "trick" of this style are ceiling lamps with stained glass decoration.

  • It is better to abandon textile lampshades in favor of modern materials - metal, glass, plastic. The benefits of this choice can be appreciated at the first cleaning. If you like wooden chandeliers, then you should pay attention to lacquered or painted models.
  • The style of the chandelier should match the entire interior. It is not a subject that should be emphasized, rather, it should complement and complete the entire image. When choosing a color, it is worth remembering a simple rule - no more than three colors in the design. However, this rule does not apply to white - it is universal.
  • Dimensions and shape should also not be conspicuous - an overly large lamp will look out of place. In addition, sooner or later it will have to be cleaned - and the more elements there are, the more difficult it will be to clean.

3. Nuances of choice

3.1. Mounting types and location

There are two types of mounting - suspended and ceiling.

Suspended involves placement on chains, cables or other elements, at some distance from the ceiling. Some chandeliers allow you to change the height of the suspension. Hanging chandeliers are usually quite large, so their choice will be more justified for large and spacious rooms.

Ceiling mount involves mounting directly under the ceiling. Such an installation is typical for most modern fixtures, although there are also transitional solutions with a classic design. For a room with low ceilings, it is better to choose a ceiling chandelier. Also, a ceiling chandelier is better than others for a small square kitchen. If the ceiling is suspended, you can even mount a panel for lighting in it.

3.2. Lamps

Today there are 4 types of lamps that are used in the kitchen:

1. LED lamps. Today, this type of lamp can rightly be called the most popular. LED lamps can be presented in the form of a conventional light bulb with a base and in the form of an LED strip. Lamps are characterized by relatively low price, extended service life and low power consumption.

No matter how sophisticated the chandelier is, the cartridge will always be standard, so you can always screw in the lamp you need - incandescent, fluorescent, halogen or LED.

2. Halogen lamps. They are compact in size and have a fairly high brightness. Halogen lamps are most often used for zonal kitchen lighting. There are several varieties of halogen lamps: pendant, spot, wall, recessed, rotary and fixed - this variety allows you to maximize the potential of kitchen lighting.

3. Incandescent lamps. These are the usual types of lamps, but not the most economical energy consumption and relatively short service life make them not the best choice for lighting the kitchen.

4. Energy saving lamps. Such lamps came into fashion about 5-7 years ago. Pros - low power consumption and bright light. Cons - high cost and long warm-up time. It can take up to two minutes from the moment the light is turned on to bright light.

3.2. Light intensity

The ideal solution for the kitchen is to install a special switch with a light intensity control. It is a small wheel, by turning which the adjustment takes place. Dimmers are convenient for use with any chandelier, regardless of the number of lamps.

If there are two or more light bulbs, you can get by with a conventional separate switch. The most modern and advanced chandeliers can be equipped with a remote control that controls the light: on / off and dimming.

Since the chandelier is the main source of light in the kitchen, it is better to shift the responsibility for creating a pleasant twilight to additional lighting. So, in order for the kitchen to be 10 sq.m. there was enough lighting, the desired total power of incandescent bulbs in the chandelier should be:

  • about 120 W for incandescent lamps
  • 60 W for halogen lamps
  • 30 W for fluorescent
  • 25W for energy saving
  • 15-20W for LED lamps (LED)

Some models are also equipped with small lamps or diodes for additional illumination. The color of the illumination differs from the usual mode of operation of the chandelier, most often it is blue. It is used, for example, when watching TV - eating and cooking with such lighting, to put it mildly, is inconvenient.

4. Prices

Ceiling or suspension mounts do not affect the cost in any way, but the number of elements is the opposite. The simplest chandelier with one plastic or glass lampshade can be bought for only 15-20 dollars. A metal suspension or other metal elements can instantly raise the cost by $30 or more.

The number of lamps does not directly affect the cost, but each lamp needs a ceiling - and this is another reason to raise the price. The more parts a chandelier consists of, the more expensive it will cost. In general, it is quite realistic for a kitchen to find a chandelier for 20-100 dollars that will satisfy all requests, then the “premium” segment begins, where it is very difficult to follow the pricing logic.

Ceiling chandelier in high-tech style for 8 lamps, total power 320W. The price is about 85 dollars.
