The SQ and SQE pumps are equipped with a pump dry-running protection with automatic restart.

Principle of operation

When the power consumption drops to the minimum Pcut-out value (less than 65%), the electric motor stops after 5 seconds. 5 minutes after such a stop, the electric motor automatically turns on and runs continuously for 30 seconds (to remove air from the pump part) before stopping again in case of low power consumption.

The emergency stop of the electric motor is also reset when the power is turned off for more than 1 minute.

After turning on the power supply, the dry-running protection function is inactive for 40 seconds (to bleed air from the pump part).

If the pump is not completely immersed in water when starting up, damage to the impellers may occur!

The built-in dry-running protection is intended for emergency shutdown of the pump and cannot be used to regularly turn off the pump in case of insufficient well flow.

Surge resistance
