Turnkey repair and painting - about work

The technique of applying a Venetian coating to walls and ceilings requires careful preparation, considerable skill and experience. This work will take a lot of time, which is explained by the high cost of labor of specialists. Initially, the surface is carefully prepared:

• Regardless of the material of the walls, it should be cleaned from dust, dirt, old coatings;
• Putty is needed to repair cracks, chips, small bumps, crevices and joints. If the walls are far from ideal, a large volume of mortar will be needed for each square meter;
• The putty is sanded after the coating has dried. The procedure must be repeated depending on the initial defects. Continuous puttying is necessary until the wall is absolutely flat;

If your budget is unlimited, you feel a craving for creativity, time is not running out, and it is not planned to invite guests to the house, you can test your strength. In other cases, it is better to entrust the work to professionals.

Techniques for applying Venetian putty

Depending on the skill and talent of the pros, as well as the expectations of the customer, one of the popular techniques for applying Venetian plaster can be chosen:

• Sandy wind - imitates a desert storm, the design is dominated by golden, cream and beige tones;
• Chaotic strokes - however, a certain order is still present, and movements are performed in one direction;
• Cracking - a special composition is used, which, when dried, begins to crack, creating the effect of antiquity;
• Natural stone - Venetian allows you to repeat the texture of malachite, marble, granite.

Venetian putty is undoubtedly an ideal material - high-quality, durable, having an incredible appearance. Its main disadvantage is the complicated application procedure, so the price for such work is very high. You can do everything with your own hands, but the result will be far from ideal. Unfortunately, the Venetian is a very demanding, aristocratic cover that does not tolerate mistreatment.
