Instead of boards and beams, carriages with grooves are used, and the spike is sawn out on the logs themselves. In this case, fasteners are not required at all. The gaps that have arisen from the sides of the light-transmitting structure are sealed with mounting foam, and the upper compensation gap is laid with wooden planks of small thickness (they will need to be removed in turn as the house shrinks). To prevent gusts of wind from entering the premises, as well as precipitation, the planks are puttied with tow.

Of course, this option for fixing windows is temporary and is intended only to help create a warm contour in the house. Rule #2
It is possible to install windows and doors in any wooden houses only using sliding joints (the so-called casing boards or casing and sliding bars). Fastening window blocks and casing to logs or timber is unacceptable! Rigid fastening during shrinkage will certainly lead to deformation of the window (door) and wall structures of the house. In fact, window structures should move separately from the walls. To do this, cuts 50x50 mm in size are made in the window opening at the ends of the logs (or timber), and the so-called slip bar is inserted. A casing board (or box) is attached to this bar on tow or a tape seal (for example, from jute), and a window block is already attached to it. In this case, the screws with which the window block is attached must be screwed into the sliding bar (but not through). From above, above the boxes of windows (doors), a margin for shrinkage is needed - gaps of about 6-7 cm in size. They are also filled with insulation (for example, tow). Platbands (both on the inside and on the outside) should be fastened with nails to the casing board, and not to the wall of the house. And finally, different companies provide a guarantee for the installation of windows for a period of one to five years. Be careful: according to the requirements of GOST, the guarantee must be at least three years.
