Scope of plaster PRAKTIK

Plaster Bergauf Praktik with a light filler is used for leveling ceilings and walls. In the future, finishing puttying of the resulting surface, applying decorative plaster or painting it will be required.

Bergauf Praktik is a lightweight gypsum plaster that can be applied on surfaces such as:

  • brickwork,
  • concrete,
  • reinforced concrete,
  • aerated concrete,
  • old cement plaster,
  • old cement-sand plaster,
  • drywall,
  • gypsum-containing surfaces, etc.

ATTENTION! Work with this material can be carried out only in those rooms in which normal indicators of air humidity are observed.

Composition of PRAKTIK plaster

The composition of BERGAUF Praktik plaster includes four elements:

  • cement binder,
  • modifying polymer additives,
  • graded sand,
  • mineral supplements.

Application of PRAKTIK plaster

Stage 1. Solution preparation.

Manual way. In accordance with the proportions reflected in the instructions on the package, manually pour the dry mortar into the water (t - room temperature). Stirring the resulting mixture (until a homogeneous mass) can be done manually or with a mixer. After 5 minutes, mix the solution again.

Machine way. Preliminarily set the water demand of the mixture (litres/hour) on the flow meter (according to the manufacturer's recommendations). Pour the mixture from the bags into the hopper, or connect the pneumatic conveying device and fill the machine's hopper automatically from the silo. Next, start the machine, adjust the consistency by slowly rotating the flowmeter valve.

Stage 2. Application of the solution.

Through a mortar mixer (nozzle with a gun), the solution is applied to the work surface. Also, the solution can be applied to the surface with a plaster ladle (trowel). Level the surface using the rule (type: h, length: 0.5 - 3 m (the choice depends on the geometric dimensions of the working plane)).

After a partial loss of mortar mobility on the surface (the mixture ceases to stick when lightly pressed), it must be re-leveled using a building rule (type: trapezoidal, length: 0.5 - 3 m (the choice depends on the geometric dimensions of the working plane)).

After a complete loss of mobility of the solution on the surface (light dents remain from touching with a little effort), “gloss” is performed. To carry out this process, you will need a trowel with a foam (felt) coating.

By performing circular movements, water is applied to the surface, which allows the gypsum "milk" to stand out. The resulting gypsum "milk" is leveled over the entire surface with a construction spatula. This operation can replace the puttying process.

Advantages of PRAKTIK plaster

1. PRICE. Bergauf PRAKTIK are mixtures, in the production of which the costs of packaging, advertising, etc. are minimized. This contributes to the formation of an affordable price.

As you know, the quality of repair depends not only on the experience of the performer, but also on the materials used. Among plaster mixtures, the most popular today are composites based on gypsum - environmentally friendly, quick-drying, fire-resistant. The Bergauf company produces modern universal gypsum plaster, the wide possibilities and advantages of which have received positive feedback from professionals and ordinary users.

Bergauf gypsum compositions are designed for finishing ceilings and walls, as well as for outdoor work. The plaster is laid on classic and cellular concrete, reinforced concrete and brick bases, cement-bonded particle boards and chipboard. The gypsum mixture is suitable for continuous processing of GKL or sealing joints between them. The permissible thickness of the mortar laying ranges from 2-50 mm.

The composition of the plaster includes the following components:

  • gypsum base (binder);
  • quartz fractionated sand;
  • perlite filler;
  • mineral supplements;
  • polymer modifiers.

Bergauf mixtures combine sufficiently high strength, good adhesive qualities, plasticity. Subject to the rules for preparing the bases, preparing the mortar and applying it, the surface usually does not need puttying - this applies to the processing of walls for wallpapering, laying tiles.

Before starting work, it is worth familiarizing yourself with the characteristics of gypsum plaster:

1. Color - mostly white.

2. The maximum fraction size is 0.63-2.5 mm.

3. Consumption of dry powder per 1 m2 - up to 13 kg (with a thickness of 1 cm). With high-quality preparation, no more than 9 kg of material per square meter will be required.

4. Thickness. Provided that the plaster is completely leveled, it can be applied in 4-40 layers. If it is intended to level the finish only partially, the allowable thickness is 50 mm.

5. Adhesion. The force of adhesion to the base is 0.5 MPa.

6. Strength indicators: for bending - up to 1.2 MPa, for compression - up to 4.

7. The prepared solution is suitable for use for an average of 1 hour.

8. The optimal temperature regime for work is from +5 o to +20 o.

9. Grouting is done one hour after application.

10. The period of reaching maximum strength is 28 days at +20 o.

Depending on the size of the sand fraction, Bergauf gypsum plaster is divided into three main groups:

  • coarse-grained - used as a rough finish for leveling walls, if level differences are more than 50 mm;
  • medium-grained - the most common, maximum application thickness - 50;
  • fine-grained - it includes ground sand, designed for laying a layer of no more than 8 mm (to reduce cracking).

Gypsum as a basic component allows you to level surfaces with thick layers of mortar with minimal risk of cracking during solidification. This gypsum plaster compares favorably with cement-containing, prone to shrinkage cracks (cobwebs). In addition, Bergauf and similar gypsum mixtures have a number of advantages compared to cement plasters:

  1. low specific gravity, providing a relatively low consumption;
  2. ease of application;
  3. effective leveling of ceilings - due to high adhesion and low weight;
  4. maintaining a constant level of humidity in the room - if it rises, the gypsum finish absorbs water vapor; if the air is dry, gypsum releases previously accumulated moisture;
  5. creating a perfectly flat surface that needs only minimal cleaning;
  6. the optional use of a plaster mesh when processing smooth walls (for example, concrete).

Varieties

The manufacturer produces several types of mixture, each of which is based on gypsum. In addition to common properties, each of them has the characteristics of the recipe, differs in characteristics and purpose.

1. Bergauf Prima Putz Gips (30 kg).

This heat-insulating plaster is used to treat all types of surfaces mentioned above. The composition of the premium class is designed to prepare for decorative plastering, gluing thin and textured wallpaper, painting. The method of applying Prima Putz Gips is manual, the size of the fraction is 2.5 mm. Thorough cleaning of the substrate and primer is recommended to increase the adhesion of the elements. To prepare a solution for 25 kg of dry mix, 15-16.5 liters of water are needed. The compressive strength of the finished finish is 4 MPa.

2. Plaster white Bergauf Bau Putz Gips (30 kg).

She, like gypsum plaster Prima, is intended for interior work. It fits perfectly on ceilings and walls made of any materials, suitable for leveling primed substrates before finishing puttying, textured plaster, painting or wallpapering. It is applied manually, without special equipment, the fraction size is 0.63 mm. The proportions of materials for the preparation of the gypsum composition: for 25 kg of dry semi-finished product - 10.5-12.6 liters of water. The mass is mixed once, without subsequent addition of components.

3. Bergauf Easy Plaster (25 kg).

This universal gypsum mixture is used both in rooms with any humidity, and when finishing facades, plinths. The viability of the solution is higher than that of the previous ones - 1.5 hours. Both manual and . The manufacturer positions Easy Plaster as the easiest variety of Bergauf to work with, even in the absence of practical experience.

4. Bergauf Easy Band (30 kg).

A new product with a maximum sand content is used for finishing rooms with moderate humidity. It features a convenient setting period, uniformity of hardening over the entire area, the possibility of applying a thick layer manually.

5. Bergauf Praktik (30 kg).

Light gypsum plaster, with which ceilings and walls are leveled before finishing operations. Normal humidity levels are allowed in the rooms. Manual and machine method of application is possible. Layer thickness - from 2 to 25 with full alignment, 35 mm - with partial. The consumption of the mixture does not exceed 10 kg / m2, the surface is grouted after 1.5-2 hours. To prepare the solution, take 30 kg of dry powder and 14.5-15 liters of water.

As the reviews confirm, in heated rooms, the gypsum finish dries out in 5-6 days, after which wallpaper is glued on it.

People's opinions on Bergauf blends

“We have been using this composition for a long time, most often in rooms with medium humidity. We have to work with a machine and a spatula, on large areas - plaster is consumed in huge quantities. Bergauf allows you to save money and at the same time get a completely flat surface. The mortar adheres equally strongly to concrete and brick.

Andrey Fomin, Moscow.

“Democratic price is not the only advantage of Bergauf. The relatively low consumption per square meter is also pleasing: with a thickness of 1 cm - about 10 kg. And you can even lay it on drywall, not to mention brick and concrete walls. Thanks to plasticizing additives, the plaster is applied evenly and does not crack after shrinkage.

Ivan, Yekaterinburg.

“We ran into a problem: they bought a Rotband, and it turned out to be a fake. We read the reviews and realized that lately it has often been faked. A familiar craftsman advised me to purchase Bergauf. The quality is not worse, and the cost is more affordable. We followed the advice and did not regret it: the plaster lay perfectly on the walls. After 40 minutes, the excess material was cut off with a rule, the recesses were filled, and smoothed with a spatula. After another 15 minutes, they rubbed it, and for smoothness after 5 hours they walked along the worn walls with a spatula. After that, we did not putty, but simply pasted the wallpaper.

Irina, Moscow.

“I advise you to definitely treat the walls with a primer before plastering - better from the same company. If you skip this step, the solution sets too quickly. Because of this, you will not have time to level and mop the mixture. Accelerated hardening is accompanied by severe shrinkage, cracking and a decrease in the strength of the finished finish.

Pavel Filimonov, St. Petersburg.

“I ran out of Volma, and to finish the job, I bought Bergauf Bau Putz Gips plaster mixture. It is easy to lay by hand, stretches well, suitable for dry and wet rooms. And one more plus: the price and quality correspond to each other. I note that gypsum plaster quickly hardens, so you need to have time to level it.

Sergey, Minsk.

“Read the instructions before cooking. After preliminary mixing, the gypsum mixture should stand for no more than 5 minutes, after which it is finally mixed. You need to apply Bergauf from the bottom up, plaster the ceiling on yourself. If the layer on the ceiling is more than 20 mm, a reinforcing galvanized mesh is needed.

Alexey, Novgorod.

Scope of application of glue for cellular blocks PRAKTIK

Bergauf has developed the Praktik cement-based adhesive for laying sand-lime brick walls, cellular blocks and other highly porous materials.

This material can be used for laying exterior and interior walls. It can be used for operation at air temperatures below zero (but not below -10 °C).

The composition of the adhesive for cellular blocks PRAKTIK

The BERGAUF Praktik adhesive contains: cement binder, modifying polymer additives, graded sand and mineral additives.

Applying glue for PRAKTIK cellular blocks

The mixture is applied to the work surface by hand. Advantages of PRAKTIK BERGAUF Praktik cellular block adhesive is an adhesive composition designed specifically for laying exterior and interior walls made of materials with increased porosity (cellular concrete, sand-lime brick, etc.).

Experience in the construction of buildings and structures made of cellular concrete shows that when installing gas silicate or foam concrete blocks, it is much better and more efficient to use modified dry building mixes than mortar. Such modern building mixtures include Bergauf PRAKTIK glue.

Solutions do not retain moisture well enough, so it has to be laid in a thick layer (thickness 7 - 15 mm). Thus, "cold bridges" are formed (due to the high thermal conductivity of the solution), which pass heat from the building (structure) to the street. In this case, it becomes obvious that the level of energy consumption will increase (up to 30 percent).

In addition, the likelihood of mold growth increases. But the most terrible negative result can be the occurrence of cracks and cracks (as a result of temperature changes). They can lead to a decrease in the useful life of the building, through the deformation of its walls.

Advantages of PRAKTIK glue compared to traditional mortars:

1. FROST RESISTANCE. Possibility of using Bergauf PRAKTIK glue at negative air temperatures (up to -100°С). This contributes to the expansion of the boundaries of the seasonality of construction work.

2. Lack of "efflorescence". Due to the fact that the adhesive solution contains less active salt additives, the appearance of "efflorescence" is prevented (when using traditional solutions, "efflorescence" is very noticeable, even after finishing coating).
