Writing a description of your room: a simple principle for creating text. What should be the composition "My room"? Beautiful description of the room

Description- this is a type of speech, which tells in detail about the subject, its appearance and properties.

The main question to the text: what?

The description implies the simultaneity of the depicted events, objects, phenomena, actions.

Consider the type of speech - description - using the example of the text "First Frost" by Mikhail Prishvin:

“The night passed under a large clear moon, and by morning the first frost fell. Everything was gray, but the puddles did not freeze. When the sun came up and warmed up, the trees and grasses were covered with such strong dew, the branches of fir trees looked out from the dark forest with such luminous patterns that the diamonds of all our land would not be enough for this decoration. The pine queen, sparkling from top to bottom, was especially beautiful. Joy jumped in my chest like a young dog.

It was an example of a description of nature. You can also describe a portrait of a person, a room and an interior.

And where do you start to describe the room?

First, let's look at the meaning of the word "room":

A room is a limited space inside a building that has a certain functional purpose. This is an apartment, a room, a school, a classroom, a dacha, a cinema, museums, shops, theaters, houses of creativity, etc.

A person very often finds himself in a situation where it becomes necessary to describe the premises: they bought a new apartment - what is it like; came to the theater - what a beautiful lobby, opened a new store - an unusual interior; school on the first of September - everything in it is new and unexpected. The room can amaze, surprise, and maybe disappoint, it can say something about the author and the occupant.

Each room has its own interior.

Interior- from French, "internal" - architecturally and artistically designed interior of the building, providing a person with aesthetic perception and favorable living conditions.

The interior can be public, for example, a theater, concert hall, or residential. Describing the interior, we create a description of the room. At the same time, we can show its beauty or squalor, the features of the architecture itself, the tastes and interests of the owner of the premises.

§2. Features of the description of the room

The basis of the description is a list of signs of the room and the objects in it. The list of items in the room may be accompanied by an indication of their location.

A small, bright room with one but wide window. In front of him is a desk, next to it are two chairs. To the left is a sofa bed; on the right, in the corner, is a bookshelf; on the wall is a map of the hemispheres.

There are two types of descriptions of the room: short, that is, it can be compressed, “collapsed”, and detailed.

Let's pay attention to the interior of the room in the painting by Tatyana Nilovna Yablonskaya "Morning". A high ceiling, a high balcony door, an unusually shaped window give it space, comfort, not many items: a wooden bed, a chair and a table, but everything feels at home, maybe because there is no strict order in the room: the bed has not yet been made , the school uniform of the girl lies on the chair, on the table there is a jug, a bread box.

Now take a good look around and describe the place where you are.

Use help words:

When working on an essay-description of the room, remember the sequence of presentation of the material! Very often, students make mistakes by "jumping" when describing from object to object, for example: floor, walls, furniture, window, and again the description of what hangs on the walls, etc. To prevent this from happening, be sure to make a plan, then systematize the collected materials (i.e. put all the notes in a certain order).

And now we will draw up an approximate plan for describing the room. First, let's describe the room itself:

Room dimensions.

Interior (furniture).

And at the end we write a conclusion - our attitude to what is being described (depending on the intention of the writer: "I love my room very much", "I would like to live in such a house", "This is how my room looks in a new apartment", etc. .).

Essay example:

I live in a spacious three-room apartment. The largest room belongs to me and my brother. It has a large window with pale green curtains. Mom recently hung them, and they give the room a special coziness. In the corner by the window is our old but cute sofa bed, on which my brother and I sleep. And on Sundays we read books on this couch or just relax. Next to the sofa is a coffee table, the top of which is painted like a chessboard. At this table we often play chess or checkers. On the contrary, there is a sideboard, in which there are a lot of interesting things: here are gifts from our parents, and souvenirs that we brought from other cities. In the lower cabinets of the sideboard, we keep books about adventures, detective stories, science fiction, and children's magazines are also here. Near the window is our desk, at which we do our homework. On the table is a beautiful table lamp, a gift from my grandmother. We recently set up an aquarium near this table: we decided to go in for fish. Our room is always clean and comfortable. For relaxation there is a small TV. It's good to come home after school, where your favorite room is waiting for you.

3. Acquaintance with the business and artistic description of the premises.

The room can be described in two styles: official business and artistic.

Name the characteristic features of the official business style ( extreme accuracy, lack of emotions, the presence of special words-terms, the use of words in their direct meaning).

Name the characteristic features of the artistic style ( figurativeness, emotionality, expression of the author's attitude).

The business description communicates accurate and complete information about the premises, but it does not express the author's attitude to what he describes.

In an artistic description, in contrast to a business one, the attitude of the author to the described is clearly expressed.

Read the text, determine in what style it is written.

Text #1

The furnishings of the office are reproduced the same as they were during the life of the poet in Mikhailovskoye during his exile. In the center of a small room is a desk covered with green cloth. On it is a pile of books, sheets written in the poet's swift handwriting. Next to the candlestick with four horns, scissors for removing carbon deposits from candles, goose feathers in a metal glass, and a sandbox next to the inkwell. Between the windows there is a cupboard filled with books, and on the opposite wall there is a shelf, also filled with books. Opposite the desk, against the wall, there is a sofa, against the opposite wall - a wooden bed with a canopy. Not far from the sofa, in the corner, there is a dressing table; in another corner, by the fireplace, on the floor, there are huge pipes with smoking chibouks. On the floor is a large, almost the entire room, carpet...

(From the guidebook)

Teacher's word:

The attitude of the author to the described premises can be expressed directly ( I like my room) and through a variety of linguistic means: words in a figurative sense, with the meaning of evaluation, figurative means (epithets, metaphors, comparisons), exclamatory sentences.

Text #2

In the summer, a new tenant appeared in the house. The captain of the Farthest Sea, who retired. It was the real Old Captain. Like all old captains, he smoked a big pipe, missed the sea, and wore a jacket with shiny buttons and stripes.

He settled in apartment number 5 with his adult daughter. And with his room, the Captain did something incomprehensible. He hung white-and-blue nautical charts and photographs of large steamships on the walls. Opposite the door, he nailed a portrait of a bearded, gloomy man. And in the corner of the closet... No, just think! The old Captain fixed the ship's wheel on the wall there. And next to it he put a bedside table with a nautical compass. The compass was the size of a saucepan and was called “compa?s”. The Captain made the bedside table himself. It was called "binnacle".

Text #3

The old house had its own character. The house loved some tenants, not so much others. Sometimes he was in a good mood, slamming doors merrily, jingling festively with glass, whistling through all the cracks, and even into the darkest corners let out sunbeams that Akulich hunted for. Sometimes the house got angry and bored. The steps creaked grumpily, the corners sagged with a groan, flakes of chalk fell from the ceilings.

But do not think that the house was grouchy and sick. He was rarely sad, he did not have rheumatism, and he was not afraid of wet weather.

The cottage was very comfortable. This kid immediately noticed: a red wooden sofa that stood against the wall. In addition to a wooden sofa, there was a workbench in the room, which also served as a table, a wardrobe, two chairs, and a fireplace with an iron grate and a taganka, but so far there was nothing to be seen of the steam engine. What do you think that we will study today, what should we learn?

Write the topic in your notebook and on the board. Epigraph to the lesson: “Usually a house becomes like those who live in it.” (M Roshchin)

    Explanation of the new

1. Dictionary work. (From the explanatory dictionary of Ozhegov)

A room is a building, a place where something, someone is placed.

Each room has its own interior.

Interior - (from the French designation "internal") the internal space of the building, premises, as well as its device, decoration. The interior can be public, residential, theatrical, sports, school.

2. Work on building a text-description of the room.

What should we pay attention to when writing descriptive text? Like our office? (with an impression of him, then list the items that are here)

Would it be enough to simply list the items in our office? (no, because there are many such cabinets)

What else needs to be done? What to pay attention to? (to clarify where the item is).

3. description of the classroom of the Russian language and literature.

Let's try to describe our office.

Short description.

    Three rows of desks.

    Three windows.

    Teacher's desk.

    Blackboard.

    Bookshelves.

Expanded description.

    Bright little office.

In the middle - three rows of desks.

Opposite the doors are three windows.

On the first row is the teacher's desk.

On the wall to the right is a blackboard.

On the wall to the left are bookshelves.

    Opposite the windows - stands.

Thus, having written down this list, we have drawn up a plan for our future essay-description: short and detailed.

But there are many such cabinets. What else needs to be done to make it more clear what kind of room we are talking about? (describe each item in more detail)

Building a text-description of the room: when describing, you need to indicate the object and its location.

Thus, the description may be concise and detailed. A concise description is like a plan. Therefore, in order to competently build your text, you first need to simply list all the objects in the given room in the right order.

4. Vocabulary work.

When describing, you can use the following words indicating the location of objects.

Remember how they are written: on the right, on the left, on the right, nearby, here, right here, here, right there, opposite, in the middle, in the middle

5. Orally describe this room .

    Working on text style.

Next to her, a bookcase sparkled with cleanly washed glass, and a piano shone behind the wardrobe. Opposite, a sofa and a table gladly took their places. A clock clung to the wall above the sofa.

Each thing found its place, and the hall became very comfortable.

What style of texts. that sounded at the beginning of the lesson? Why?

How to write an essay describing a room.

When working on an essay-description of the room, remember the sequence of presentation of the material! Very often, students make mistakes by "jumping" when describing from object to object, for example: floor, walls, furniture, window, description of what hangs on the walls, etc. To prevent this from happening, be sure to make a plan, then systematize the collected materials (i.e. put all the records in a certain order, group them according to the plan). Avoid repeating words by using synonyms. Remember that the description should be in a single time plan. In a sentence with an omitted predicate, a DASH is put.

Example: To the right of the door is a bookcase.

I have got a big and cozy room on the first floor of our house. There is a big window with lace curtains in it, so my room is full of light. I spend a great deal of my time in this room: I do my homework, listen to music, read books and chat with my friends via the Internet.

The wallpapers are white with light blue flowers. There is a poster of my favorite music band above my bed. There is also a round mirror hanging on the wall and a small table under it. In the mornings I do my hair in front of it.

I also have a big desk with a table lamp on it. I do my homework at it and sometimes draw small pictures with color pencils. I keep my workbooks and exercise books on the shelf above the desk. It is very convenient, as I have everything at hand while doing my homework.

My bed is not big but comfortable. I like reading in bed before going to sleep, so I have a wall bracket lamp on the wall. I have got a lot of books and there is a bookcase near my bed.

I have a large and comfortable room on the second floor of our house. It has a large window with lace curtains, so my room is full of light. I spend a lot of time in my room doing my homework, listening to music, reading books and texting with my friends on the Internet.

The wallpaper is white with blue flowers. Above my bed is a poster of my favorite band. There is also a round mirror hanging on the wall, and under it there is a small table. In the morning I brush my hair in front of him.

I also have a large desk with a table lamp. Behind him I do my homework and sometimes draw pictures with colored pencils. I keep my textbooks and notebooks on the shelf above the table. It's very convenient because everything is at hand when I'm doing my homework.

My bed is not big but comfortable. I like to read in bed before going to bed, so I have a wall lamp hanging on my wall. I have a lot of books, and there is a bookcase near the bed.

Goals:

  1. learn to write an essay-description of the room;
  2. to form the ability to correctly build sentences using the necessary vocabulary; practice the skills of the correct use of verbs, adverbs in the description of the room; to form the ability to build a statement in a certain compositional form; develop observation, students' speech, creativity, expand vocabulary;
  3. to instill love for a capacious, meaningful, beautiful word, to cultivate aesthetic feelings.

Equipment: writing on the board of key words for writing, reproductions of paintings, “Russian speech”, grade 6 by E. I. Nikitina.

During the classes

1. Organizational moment.

2. Communication of the topic and objectives of the lesson.

Today we are learning how to write an essay describing a room. Theme of the essay: "My room."

3. Preparation for writing an essay.

1. The word of the teacher.

In the 5th grade, we learned to write an essay-description of an object and an essay-description of an animal, and today we will learn to write an essay-description of a room.

2. Work with reproduction.

Look, please, at the picture of M. Finogenova "Bright Day". Answer my questions:

What is shown in the picture?

What is in the center of the room? What's next?

Does the room have windows? How many?

Are there curtains on the windows? What color are they?

What color are the floors?

What else can you say about the owner of this room?

3. Conversation on questions.

Do you have your own room or are your things in the walk-through room?

What is your room like (large, bright, comfortable)?

What furniture is in your room? How is it located?

What else is in your room (calendars, books, souvenirs)?

4. The word of the teacher.

Now let's talk about how to describe the room. There are several options: first, a description of the room - an indication of the list of features of this room and the objects in it. For example: a small bright room with one but wide window. Desk. Two chairs. Sofa bed. Bookshelf. Hemispheric map.

Secondly, a list of items in the room may be accompanied by an indication of their location. For example: a small bright room with one but wide window. In front of him is a desk, next to it are two chairs. To the left is a sofa bed; on the right, in the corner, is a bookshelf; on the wall is a map of the hemispheres.

Thirdly, each object can not only be named, but also described. For example: on the right, in the corner, is a bookshelf. Most of it is occupied by textbooks for grade 6 and books about the great musicians of the world. Here - "Children's Album" and "Seasons" by P. I. Tchaikovsky, collections of songs, the magazine "Bonfire".

In general, this type of description is built according to the scheme:

Where? (place) - what? (an item located at this location).

But sometimes, if you need to pay attention to the state of the room (to the fact that the room is in order and every thing takes its place, or, on the contrary, to show that there is a complete mess in the room and everything is not where it should be), then the sequence of words in sentences it changes: first the object is called (what?), then the place (where?).

5. Performing ex. 97.

The general view of the room, the objects in it - all this characterizes the owner of the room: his hobbies, interests, sense of taste.

Listen to the text. Who do you think is the owner of this room? What is he interested in? Justify your answer.

Large bright room. By the window is a drawing board with a piece of drawing paper attached to it. Shelf full of books, portrait of Beethoven. In the corner Strapped skis.

6. Working with a memo.

For successful writing of an essay, let's remember the memo that you have known since grade 5.

Memo: "How to work on an essay."

  • Specify the topic and determine the main idea of the essay.

My room (essay-description).

I love my house very much and especially my room. It is spacious, bright and very comfortable.

From a large window with pale blue tulle curtains, light falls on my desk, on which there is a glass of pencils and felt-tip pens, a photograph in an old frame, and several notebooks. The table is large, massive, with many different drawers and departments that contain everything I need: textbooks, manuals, stationery, a photo album that I review when I'm sad. At the desk - I do my homework. I try to keep it neat at all times. Near the table is a chair.

In the left corner of the room is a bookcase with books stacked neatly on the shelves. We have a good library, which contains the most interesting works: science fiction, detective stories, classic and adventure literature. Among these books are many of my favorites, which I have re-read many times.

To the right, near the wall, there is a wardrobe. Opposite is a sofa bed, covered with a bluish-white bedspread with dark blue flowers embroidered on it.

There are various posters and calendars on the walls. There is a soft gray carpet on the floor, on which I like to sit with my legs tucked under me.

Now you imagine what my favorite room looks like. Come visit me and see how clean and comfortable I am.

Essay writing "My Room"

Essay "My room"

I have my own room. It is spacious, almost square in shape. When I enter this room, a large metal-plastic window immediately catches my eye. It goes out into the courtyard. There are flowers in pots on the windowsill. I like to admire their greenery on winter evenings. The room has light green wallpaper and greenish curtains on the window. The ceiling is high white. Attached to it is a small bright chandelier with three shades. The room has modern furniture in light colors. To the right of the door is a long computer desk and chair. On the table is a computer, my textbooks, school notebooks. To the right of the door is a high furniture wall. It stores bed linen, my things. On the shelves are books, photo albums, souvenirs. Along the wall is a wide light green sofa. The floor in my room is covered with laminate. It is light brown in color. On it lies a small fluffy rug. I like to sit on it sometimes and look through magazines. My room is bright and comfortable. I like it and relax, and learn lessons, and spend free time with my girlfriends.

Julia Karpets, 6th grade.

  1. How did my room come about?
  2. My room is a mirror of my activities and hobbies.
    1. study place;
    2. music zone;
    3. wardrobe;
    4. library;
    5. place to sleep.
  3. My favorite corner.

My room appeared shortly before the birth of my younger sister. It used to be my mom, dad and my bedroom. And then my parents decided to equip me with a separate room. I was overjoyed at this! We changed the situation in the former bedroom so that I was cozy and comfortable. Now everything that is here: furniture, walls, floor, interior items - is made in golden and warm pastel colors. Thanks to this, my room became even brighter than before.

In plan, it is a strongly elongated rectangle. But my parents and I managed to figure out how to most rationally place a large number of fairly large items in it. Probably, this room cannot be called a completely children's room. Most likely, this is a universal educational and leisure space, which can be conditionally divided into several small zones, each of which corresponds to one of my other occupations or hobbies.

I will start describing my room with the most important thing - my workplace or study area. This is the brightest corner, located right in front of the large window. The study area includes a small walnut wood writing desk and matching chair upholstered in brown and gold. My desk is always in order.

Each item has its place. On the right on the table there is a special stand, which was originally intended for a computer monitor. But I put a big globe on it - a gift from my grandparents. Only the most necessary things are located on the table: a modern lamp with touch control and three lighting modes, a rotating black stand for pens, pencils, scissors and other necessary stationery items, a wooden stand in the form of a Baby Raccoon figurine for colored pencils and a metal stand for textbooks. To the right of the desk there is a bedside table with five spacious drawers where I store colored cardboard, paper, brushes, paints.

The music zone is my favorite piano that I play every day. It stands along the wall that separates my room from my parents' room. On the piano there are not only notes, but also a bright carved carousel with characters from my favorite cartoon about Prostokvashino. Here is my box with decorations in the form of a magic chest, photographs, as well as candles that I made with my own hands. On the wall above the piano there are frames with pictures that I drew or embroidered.

Opposite the piano is a wardrobe. This is a huge walnut corner cabinet. It has three mirrored doors that visually enlarge my room, and it no longer seems so narrow. The closet is very spacious, so not only my things are stored in it, but also the things of my parents and sister. Between the wardrobe and the piano on the floor is a motley woolen carpet.

The library in my room is a large three-leaf wardrobe with blind mezzanines and large glass doors. It contains my most favorite books, as well as dictionaries with beautiful golden bindings, encyclopedias on a variety of topics. In general, it has everything that I need for my studies and even more! Real treasures were hidden on the mezzanines: my needlework kits, beads, beads, ribbons, embroidery kits. I put them up on purpose, for safety reasons, so that my inquisitive little sister wouldn't get them. I keep boxes of games in the bottom drawers of my closet. My library would be too strict if the bookshelves were not filled with memorabilia and souvenirs from the cities that I myself or my parents visited. It seems to me that all this creates a special atmosphere of celebration, joy and comfort in my room.

My place to sleep and rest is arranged between the study and music areas. This is my favorite small soft beige sofa with geometric shapes. I usually cover it with a bright blue blanket with red and white flowers. This is one of the highlights in my room. During the day, a big white bunny in an orange blouse sits on the sofa. And in the evening he gives way to me. I turn on the crystal sconces and the room becomes very cozy!

I love my room very much. But my favorite corner is my sofa. And not just because I sleep on it. Here I read, and do needlework, and dream. Sometimes in the evenings, when our whole family gathers in my room, we sit down on this sofa and arrange "evening gatherings" - we read interesting books aloud or talk about various exciting topics. I also like to turn off the overhead light in the room, sit on the sofa, direct the weak light from the table lamp to the chandelier and blow on paper horses (this is a homemade carousel that is attached to the chandelier), then they rotate, and it seems that the horses are swimming along air in the moonlight.

It seems to me that my room is very cozy and interesting. This is probably why, when friends come to me, they stay up late and they don’t want to leave.
