Herbs and fees for sinusitis

What herbs and preparations are used, how to brew, dosages, duration of the course of treatment, when can the course be repeated? The following algorithms for the treatment of sinusitis are proposed at the Department of Phytotherapy of the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia:

Collection:
Calamus rhizome 10.0
Rhizome of badan thick-leaved 2.0
Birch buds 15.0
Wintergreen grass 3.0
Marigold flowers 10.0
Grass violet tricolor 15.0
Eucalyptus leaves 10.0
Cooking method: Pour 1 teaspoon of the collection with 200 ml of water, insist in a thermos for 30 minutes, take it warm, 70 ml 3 times a day before meals. The duration of admission is 2-3 weeks.

Put cotton turundas in the nasal passages with an aqueous solution of Sangviritrin for 20 minutes 2 times a day. The course of treatment is 4-6 days.

Rinse the nose with saline water or sea water (Dolphin, Solin, Aquamaris) 3 times a day during an exacerbation of the disease for 1-2 weeks and to prevent the disease during the season of colds and SARS.

The use of inhalations for sinusitis has proven itself well. Inhalation of herbal vapors, essential oils improves nasal breathing, has a local antiseptic effect, reduces the severity of edematous syndrome. For inhalations, both herbal preparations and one type of plant can be used, for example, chamomile, calendula, St. John's wort, eucalyptus, mint, lemon balm, etc., which have an anti-inflammatory effect. Take 1-2 tablespoons of the collection or the selected herb, pour 1 cup of boiling water, infuse for half an hour in a thermos, then perform inhalations, you can use a nebulizer. Before inhalation, it is recommended to take 1 glass of herbal tea, collection, especially for children. Duration of inhalation for 5 minutes, daily course 6-8 times.
You can also use essential oils for inhalation, adding either to freshly boiled water, or to a solution for inhalation through a nebulizer, 3-5 drops each. You can use clove oil, eucalyptus oil, tea tree, you can add a ready-made mixture of "Breathe" essential oils for both treatment and prevention of recurrence of the disease during the cold and flu season. At home, essential oils can also be added to the aroma lamp, inhalations are carried out before bedtime.
Remember that for children, lower dosages are recommended, which are selected depending on the age of the child. Also, an allergic reaction to essential oils is possible, so it is advisable to perform a pre-allergological test and start inhalations with the minimum dosages (from 1 drop) and with the minimum procedure time, gradually increasing to the recommended dosages and time.

Means of traditional medicine:

Cyclamen root juice instill 2 drops into each nasal passage in the evening for 2-3 days in a row. For children, dilute the juice with water 1: 2.
Fill the bottle with chopped horseradish and rosemary herb in a 1:1 ratio. Then pour wine vinegar to the top, cork and leave in a warm place for 10 days, shaking twice a day. After this period, every hour inhale the contents through the neck for 5 minutes, and in the evening with this tincture make a compress on the forehead and back of the head (10-15 minutes). Carry out a similar procedure until clinical recovery.
Take in equal proportions (average 1 teaspoon) of liquid honey and sea salt, mix. Apply this mixture to the area between the eyebrows (above the frontal sinus) and near the wings of the nose (above the maxillary sinuses). Topical application of this mixture has an anti-inflammatory effect and reduces swelling. Apply 2 times a day in the morning and in the evening for 10-15 minutes, covered with polyethylene, then rinse with warm water. At night, you can not rinse, but get wet with a napkin. Duration to clinical recovery.
Honey with honeycombs is 1 teaspoon 3 times a day 30 minutes before meals for 2 weeks. Take during an exacerbation of sinusitis and to prevent recurrence of the disease in autumn, winter and spring for a duration of 2 weeks.
There is also such a folk recipe: while it is half-hot, “roll” a boiled egg in the area of \u200b\u200bthe inflamed sinus until it cools. From the point of view of Western medicine, the therapeutic effect is based on warming up and improving blood circulation. Although, in case of acute purulent sinusitis, I would not recommend any “thermal” procedures, since inflammation and the growth of microflora can only intensify with them!

When using traditional medicine recipes, consult your doctor! Always try to understand what the therapeutic effect is based on, whether this method can be applied in your case. Since there is no treatment suitable for all patients, each of us has our own "features" of the course of the disease, the level of the body's immune forces. One and the same disease can occur in different ways!

Contraindications for the treatment of sinusitis with herbs

Phytotherapy is contraindicated if:

The patient has allergic reactions to the components of the fees.
- The patient has allergic reactions that occurred during treatment with herbal medicines.
- As the only therapy for life-threatening conditions such as acute purulent sinusitis, high fever, severe intoxication syndrome.

Phytotherapy can be used, but with caution:

1. With self-treatment of chronic sinusitis.
2. If the general condition worsens, the indicators of laboratory tests may need to be included in the treatment of drugs of a chemical nature, which have a faster therapeutic effect.
3. During pregnancy and lactation.

In all these cases, it is advisable to consult with your doctor about the use of herbal medicine!

Cure prognosis

What effect can be achieved in the treatment and why is the traditional treatment prescribed by the doctor so important? Treatment of sinusitis and any other sinusitis should achieve the following goals:

For acute sinusitis:
The fastest recovery
Complete clinical recovery
Prevention of the development of complications of sinusitis, in the form of meningitis (inflammation of the meninges), etc.
Prevention of infection becoming chronic

For chronic sinusitis:
Prevention of recurrence of the disease
Anti-inflammatory action
Removal of edematous syndrome
vitamin therapy
Increasing the body's defenses
Improving the general condition of the patient

To summarize: the principle of herbal treatment of sinusitis is the same as for any other disease, that is, we treat the disease in the acute phase with “emergency care” means - we follow the instructions of the attending physician, we undergo a course of therapy with chemical drugs, droppers, injections, tablets and other pills . And if the inflammation is not amenable to conservative treatment and it is necessary to evacuate the purulent contents from the sinuses with the help of surgical intervention, then you need to trust the surgeon. At this stage, phytotherapy can only supplement the main treatment.

Herbal medicine is more widely used in patients with chronic sinusitis and for the prevention of frequent relapses of the disease.

Speedy recovery to you!

Phytotherapeutist Akimova N.S.

Given the presence of a large number of modern drugs, primarily antibiotics, as well as the availability of medical care, people with sinusitis are less and less turning to alternative methods of treatment. However, the treatment of sinusitis with herbs is still popular, especially at the initial stage of the disease or with an uncomplicated course of the disease. Herbs for sinusitis are much safer than pharmacological preparations, and have less negative impact on all systems of the human body.

Features of sinusitis therapy with herbs

With sinusitis, herbal treatment is auxiliary in relation to drug therapy and is mainly aimed at such goals:

  • a decrease in the general intoxication of the body, which is a consequence of the presence of an inflammatory process;
  • increasing the effectiveness of traditional treatment with chemicals, as well as reducing the severity of side effects from them;
  • removal of local manifestations of inflammation;
  • increase in general and local immunity;
  • prevention of recurrence of the disease, especially for chronic sinusitis;
  • replenishment of the patient's body with the necessary amount of vitamins that contribute to recovery;
  • improving the general well-being of the patient and improving the quality of his life.

Phytotherapy has a milder and more gentle effect, so it can be used for a long time without much harm to the patient, which is inaccessible to most even the most modern medicines. Most often, herbs for sinusitis are used in such cases:

  • Long-term treatment of chronic sinusitis during remission.
  • Prevention of frequent exacerbations of sluggish sinusitis.
  • Auxiliary therapy for conservative or surgical treatment of maxillary sinusitis in acute or purulent form.

The use of all folk recipes is best agreed with the attending otolaryngologist, so as not to harm. It is necessary to pay attention to the possibility of simultaneous use of chemicals and medicinal herbs, as well as individual intolerance to a particular plant.

Traditional preparations based on medicinal plants can be taken in different ways. For this, inhalations, nasal drops, oral infusions, rinses and compresses are used.

Medicinal plants for inhalation

Inhalation of vapors of medicinal plants allows you to direct their beneficial properties directly to the site of inflammation.

This helps to reduce swelling of tissues, to achieve liquefaction of mucous accumulations and to improve the outflow of exudate from the sinuses, to restore nasal breathing. Inhalations can be carried out with the usual steam method or with the help of a special Nebulizer device.

However, alcohol tinctures of biologically active plants, which are sold in pharmacies, are well suited for this type of aerosol treatment:

  • Malavit. Dietary supplement based on a number of minerals and plants (birch and pine buds, thyme, calamus, chamomile, immortelle, sage, peony, celandine, plantain). It has antibacterial, analgesic and antiseptic effect. Mixed with saline in a ratio of 1:30. Inhaled three times a day, 3 ml.
  • Rotokan. Alcohol infusion of calendula, apothecary chamomile and yarrow with a good anti-inflammatory effect. It is diluted with sodium chloride 1:40, about 4 ml of the solution is inhaled. According to the same scheme, a solution of alcohol calendula is also used.
  • Eucalyptus. Relieves inflammation in the upper respiratory tract. 15 drops of alcohol tincture are added to a glass of saline solution, inhalation is carried out three times a day, 3 ml each. Contraindicated in case of bronchial asthma and other problems with the bronchi.
  • Sinupret. Phytopreparation based on gentian root, verbena, elder and primrose. It has a mucolytic and decongestant effect, improves immunity, helps to cleanse the maxillary cavities from stagnant exudate. The aerosol is inhaled three times a day. It is diluted with saline depending on the age of the patient: 1:3 - up to 6 years, 1:2 - up to 16 years, 1:1 - for adults.

However, the Nebulizer is quite expensive, so it is more often used in medical institutions. Most of the population prefers to treat sinusitis with a proven method - steam inhalation. When preparing them, you can use vegetable raw materials in dried form.

Here are some common recipes:

In addition to fees, you can breathe steam with decoctions of certain herbs, such as St. John's wort, lemon balm, mint, chamomile, calendula.

They are prepared according to a recipe similar to the preparations: for a glass of boiling water, 1-2 tablespoons of dried chopped raw materials, you can use it in half an hour - an hour. As a rule, breathe for 5 minutes daily, the entire course takes about one week. To enhance the effect, experts recommend that children and adults drink a cup of herbal tea before starting the procedure.

Often, essential oils (tea tree, eucalyptus, clove, pine) are used for steam inhalation, which have bactericidal and anti-inflammatory properties. For inhalation, 4-5 drops added to boiling water are enough; for children, the dose is selected individually, starting with 1 drop of oil, since allergic reactions are possible.

Nose drops based on herbal ingredients and oral infusions

By their action, instillations are similar to inhalations, but require less time and effort to carry out manipulations. The amount of the active substance is usually higher in drops than in an aerosol, and it does not lose some of its healing properties under the influence of high temperature:

Often, traditional healers offer complex therapy: the prepared remedy is taken orally and instilled into the nose. This allows you to use the beneficial properties of plants, both at the general and local level.

Compresses on herbal remedies for sinusitis and nasal lavage

For the treatment of sinusitis in the initial stage, phytoapplications help well, which have a vasodilating, analgesic, anti-inflammatory and antiseptic effect. Compresses can be external or injected directly into the nose with turundas.

Decoctions of plants are widely used for washing the nose. In addition to the direct function of thinning and evacuation of mucus, they have a wound healing, regenerating, anti-inflammatory and anti-edematous effect. Decoctions of chamomile apothecary (a teaspoon per glass of hot water) and a solution of table salt with a decoction of celandine (0.5 teaspoon of salt and 1 teaspoon of celandine) have proven themselves very well.

Contraindications and features of the use of herbal remedies for sinusitis

Before using any herbal preparations, you need to carefully study the features of their effect on the human body. Phytotherapy is contraindicated in such cases:

  • Individual intolerance to individual components of the medical collection.
  • The development of allergic reactions after the start of therapy using plant materials.
  • Deterioration of the general condition of the patient or deviations in laboratory tests against the background of herbal medicine. In these cases, it is necessary to additionally examine and correct the treatment regimen, if necessary, changing natural preparations to pharmacological ones, with a more pronounced effect.

For pregnant and lactating women, infusions and decoctions of herbs can be used only with the permission of a doctor and only if the benefits of their use outweigh the harm from possible side effects. You can not rely only on natural components if the disease is in the acute phase, with purulent discharge and severe symptoms. In chronic sinusitis, it is necessary to monitor the dynamics of the patient's condition during treatment with herbal remedies and make changes to therapy.

When therapy with folk remedies is more effective:

  • In chronic forms of sinusitis, when the acute manifestations of the disease are eliminated, and the body needs to be helped to get rid of the symptoms of a protracted inflammatory reaction (nasal congestion, discharge, heaviness in the sinus area, etc.);
  • In acute sinusitis in combination with traditional drug therapy;
  • To prevent the development of acute or exacerbations of chronic sinusitis during seasons of increased viral activity (autumn, spring);
  • After suffering sinusitis to accelerate the process of restoring the functional activity of the maxillary sinus and nose.

There are many different ways and techniques to cure sinusitis at home, but they are all united by common principles:

  • Treatment of sinusitis with folk remedies is a long process that can last several months with short interruptions;
  • The use of medicinal herbs, oils and bee products should begin with minimal dosages, with a gradual increase in dose to reduce the risk of an allergic reaction;
  • It is better to start therapy with herbal decoctions with one plant, gradually adding other components;
  • Herbs or components for ointments and drops should be collected in ecologically safe areas, dried and prepared properly. In the absence of such an opportunity, it is worth using ready-made pharmacy products;
  • If the condition worsens, there is no therapeutic effect, or complications develop, you should immediately stop treatment and consult a doctor.

  • a decrease in the general intoxication of the body, which is a consequence of the presence of an inflammatory process;
  • increasing the effectiveness of traditional treatment with chemicals, as well as reducing the severity of side effects from them;
  • removal of local manifestations of inflammation;
  • increase in general and local immunity;
  • prevention of recurrence of the disease, especially for chronic sinusitis;
  • replenishment of the patient's body with the necessary amount of vitamins that contribute to recovery;

  • 10 g of plantain leaves, 5 g of yarrow and immortelle flowers are mixed. 2 tablespoons of this collection are poured with a glass of boiling water, infused for an hour and filtered. For one inhalation, half of the resulting infusion is enough.
  • 15 g of chamomile flowers, 10 g of calendula flowers and 5 g of meadow geranium grass are infused for 1 hour in 200 ml of boiling water. After filtering, it is used for inhalation, 50 ml is enough for one procedure.
  • 15 g of plantain leaves, 10 g of yarrow and 5 g of walnut leaves are brewed and used in the same way as the previous recipe.

  • A collection is prepared from 2 parts of plantain, 1 part of lemon balm and 1 part of peppermint. 20 g of the collection are poured with a liter of boiling water and infused for 15 minutes. Then a few drops of essential eucalyptus oil are added. Drip into the nose 2-3 times for 5 days.
  • Juice of pinnate Callanchoe is injected into the nose in 3 drops. The result is a violent sneeze, which actively removes mucus from the nasal cavity.
  • Mix the juice from the lower thick leaves of aloe with an equal amount of honey, add a couple of drops of celandine. Drip three times a day without swallowing, as celandine can have a bad effect on the stomach.
  • Cyclamen. It is used with caution due to the poisonous juice of the plant's root in high concentration. The forest juice squeezed from the ground cyclamen root is diluted with boiled water (1:4 or 1:8, depending on the perception of the patient) and instilled in the patient lying on his back, 2-3 drops in each nostril. After a short time, active secretion and sneezing begin. Possible side effects: increased sweating and increased body temperature. If a positive effect is noticeable after the first procedure, then it can be repeated in a couple of days.
  • Bring together equal parts of celandine, aloe juice and bee honey. Pokapel enter into each nasal passage up to 5 times a day. The mixture is not to be swallowed. It has a positive effect in the chronic form of the disease.
  • 1 tablespoon of the initial medicinal herb should be poured with 0.5 liters of boiling water and then insisted for 2 hours. Drip 5 times a day in each nostril.

Often, traditional healers offer complex therapy: the prepared remedy is taken orally and instilled into the nose. This allows you to use the beneficial properties of plants, both at the general and local level.

Known recipes of this direction are used according to the following scheme: half a glass is drunk three times a day, instillation is also carried out three times a day, 1-2 drops. The general course of treatment is approximately 1 month.

  • The crushed components of sand immortelle flowers, plantain leaves and yarrow stems are brought together in equal proportions. 2 tablespoons of the prepared mixture are poured into 500 ml of boiling water, infused for at least 6 hours and filtered.
  • Prepare a collection of coltsfoot, calendula, yarrow, peppermint and bird cherry flowers, insist and strain thoroughly.
  • 2 tablespoons of herbal mixture, composed of equal parts of the leaves of dioecious nettle, St. John's wort and viburnum bark, steam in a thermos with the addition of 0.5 liters of boiling water. It is necessary to insist all night. After straining, the product is ready for use.
  • Mix 2 parts of sage, St. John's wort, chamomile, eucalyptus and lavender with 1 part of yarrow and string in a glass or enamel bowl. Pour 2 liters of boiling water and keep for half an hour. After straining, drink half a glass of infusion every 3 hours.
  • Rub the washed and peeled horseradish roots on a fine grater. Mix 50 g of the resulting mass with juice squeezed from 3 lemons. The remedy is taken half an hour after breakfast, half a teaspoon. It helps well in case of a chronic course of the disease, prevents its exacerbation. The course of treatment is long (about 3 months), it can be repeated after a break of 1-2 weeks.
  • Mix 20 g of calendula flowers and St. John's wort with 10 g of poplar buds. Infuse for 2 hours on half a liter of boiling water. Drink a ml of a warm drink before meals. You can add a little honey to improve the taste.

  • Place rosemary and finely chopped horseradish root in equal proportions in a glass bottle, pour wine vinegar to the top and close tightly with a cork. Shaking regularly, keep warm for 10 days. Make a compress on the back of the head and forehead with a mixture from a bottle for up to 15 minutes, and also inhale the contents for 5 minutes directly from the neck.
  • Prepare a decoction of bay leaves (10-20 g of bay leaves bring to a boil and cool). In the resulting warm liquid, a napkin is wetted and placed on the face in the projection of the paranasal sinuses. In order for the compress to cool more slowly, it is better to cover your face with a linen napkin or towel. After cooling the napkin, it is wetted again. The procedure is repeated several times.
  • An aqueous solution of Sangrivitrin (a mixture of herb Macleia small-fruited and Macleia cordate) is moistened with cotton swabs and placed in the nose twice a day for 20 minutes. Repeat the procedure for a week.
  • Prepare a multi-component collection of 3 parts of blackcurrant leaves, 2.5 parts of cudweed, chamomile, lungwort, calendula, 2 parts of juniper needles, horsetail, mallow and blackberry leaves, 1.5 parts of thyme, elecampane, wormwood, mullein and sweet clover. All this is mixed and poured with boiling water for 40 minutes, then filtered through a colander, slightly squeezed. A warm (about 40 degrees) wet mixture is laid out on a face previously cleansed of fat in the area of \u200b\u200bthe air cavities and nose, covered with a towel or scarf to keep warm. The compress lasts for half an hour, after which it is not recommended to go outside. This phytoapplication is carried out every other day or daily, preferably at bedtime.

For sinusitis treatment at home Rarely does anyone use medicinal plants. It is not difficult to get to the doctor, there are also enough medicines. But that's just not always drug treatment helps. Yes, and the harm from taking powerful antibiotics can be more than good.

And yet, despite the unpopularity, in the treatment of chronic sinusitis, medicinal herbs are unrivaled. Traditional methods of treating sinusitis have been used for a very long time. And the experience of herbal treatment of sinusitis has been accumulated sufficient. And you can treat this disease at home.

Let's briefly analyze what they mean when they say sinusitis. Sinusitis is called inflammation of the air sinuses adjacent to the nasal cavity. There are several such sinuses, and in medicine, the inflammation of each of them has its own name.

For the treatment of sinusitis with herbs, all this terminology does not play a role. This doctors need to eliminate inflammation at a certain point. Traditional medicine treats a person.

Sinusitis can be both acute and chronic. Often the cause of acute sinusitis can be past infections. If you do not treat or cure acute sinusitis, then over time it becomes chronic.

Acute sinusitis is characterized by intense pressing pain in the zygomatic areas. Leaning forward makes the pain worse. In addition to pain, there are nasal congestion, runny nose. Discharge from the nose is purulent. There may be a sharp increase in temperature, sleep and appetite disorders. A common occurrence in sinusitis is excruciating headaches.

The most reasonable thing is to go to the doctor, get an x-ray and get a clear diagnosis. And only after that proceed to treatment. Home herbal treatment should include both oral and external use of the herbs.

For rinsing the nose, herbs with anti-inflammatory properties are needed. These are St. John's wort, yarrow, eryngium, sage with the obligatory inclusion of herbs containing mucus and essential oils .. The use of these herbs will make the washing process not so unpleasant. The necessary components are contained in chamomile, silver sucker, calendula.

For the treatment of sinusitis you can instill kalahoe juice into your nose (do not be afraid of a long sneeze), aloe juice (cut fresh leaves should lie in the refrigerator for at least ten days). Usually no more than 3-4 drops are instilled.

Along with the procedures described above, it is useful to rinse the nose with a saline solution. 250 grams of cooled boiled water and a tablespoon of salt.

Inside, an infusion of herbs is taken: meadowsweet, St. Three or four herbs from the list are enough, but of course everything is better.

In the treatment it is good to use immunomodulators such as duckweed, echinocea, pine pollen.

From my practice: smoke from burning European hoof leaves helps to get rid of sinusitis. A device is made like a church censer and the smoke from the leaves is inhaled by the nose. It is possible to achieve a cure even with advanced chronic sinusitis.

Herbal inhalations also help a lot. Certainly not during an exacerbation. Inhalations managed to cope with a runny nose in grandchildren when they went to kindergarten. This is not amenable to any treatment "garden" rhinitis. Moms probably know what I'm talking about.

How to treat sinusitis

The maxillary sinuses act as a humidifier and temperature regulator for the air on its way to the lungs. When you have, no one can guarantee that the infection spreads only in the nose, and everything is in order in the nearby sinuses. Usually, inflammation also occurs there, which goes away either on its own or under medication.

However, if treatment was started late or not started at all, sinusitis can take severe forms.

  • Drawing pain near the nose, aggravated by bending forward,
  • loss of smell, nasal congestion

- all these are symptoms of sinusitis, inflammation of the mucous membrane of the maxillary sinuses. Since they are not so easy to get close to, the diagnosis can be confirmed using x-rays, computed tomography, or rhinoscopy.

They don’t joke with running sinusitis:

  • doctor prescribes antibiotics
  • antiseptic solutions for washing the sinuses,
  • in especially severe cases, punctures are made to avoid a breakthrough of abscesses.

Juices, fruit drinks, herbal teas will become a source of additional vitamins and minerals at the time. Of the latter, some have strong anti-inflammatory effects.

Koporye tea from fireweed herb

This category of herbs includes Ivan-tea, the scientific name is fireweed angustifolia. Kopor tea is made from this plant: the green leaves are rolled and wrapped in cloth and allowed to ferment for a day or two. The fireweed is then dried at high temperature to stop the fermentation.

This tea is rich in vitamins: thiamine (B1), riboflavin (B2), niacin (B3), pantothenic acid (B5), pyridoxine (B6), folacin (B9), ascorbic acid.

  • Ascorbic acid is contained in Ivan-tea in greater quantities than in lemon.
  • Pantothenic acid is a vitamin that has its positive effects everywhere: the synthesis of neurotransmitters, improving the secretion of gastric juices, and, in particular, helping the body absorb other vitamins and minerals, including folacin.

Fireweed is also rich in minerals: calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, sodium, zinc, iron.

To get a decoction, while retaining the healing properties of willow-tea, brew the collection with water at 70 ° C. If the water temperature is higher, most of the enzymes and vitamins will be destroyed. Let it brew for 10 minutes. Koporye tea can be drunk within a day after brewing (according to experienced herbalists). It can also be dripped into the nose, inhaled or snorted on it.

Fireweed tea is a diuretic, and. Has no contraindications. But during pregnancy and lactation, it is taken only under the supervision of a doctor.

If you find yourself with symptoms of sinusitis, do not try to cure yourself with tea or anything else. You should also not prescribe antibiotics yourself if you do not have a medical education - some pathogens are insensitive to them. Contact your doctor. Moreover, as I wrote above, it is not so easy to diagnose this disease; special devices are needed.

Feedback on the treatment of sinusitis in an adult

What else, besides fireweed, will help to cope with sinusitis, and even bilateral and in a neglected form? To find out about this, listen to the review of Ksenia, a musician who suffered from sinusitis for about 10 years.

Colds and hearing

For a long time I considered myself a fairly healthy person, I had colds once or twice during the winter season, and I recovered quite quickly. The only thing that bothered me was that every time I caught a cold, my ears were very stuffed up, and my hearing worsened. Almost, probably, well, almost half.

I am a musician, and therefore I was especially worried about this. And it was unpleasant for me, because it interfered first with my studies, then at work.

And it started just in the years of study, somewhere around the age of 17.

I began to undergo various examinations. Naturally, I immediately turned to an ENT doctor. They examined me there in every possible way that they came up with. No deviations were found.

The only thing that for some reason they didn’t do to me (now for me, of course, it’s very strange why), they didn’t do it to me ...

... a picture of the maxillary sinuses - a picture of the nose. Well, I don’t know, I can’t understand why this simplest study didn’t apply to me. I was sent to an audiologist. An audiologist is, if anyone does not know, the specialist who deals specifically with hearing and ear problems. An audiologist examined me, and no abnormalities were found either. The only thing that was suggested to me was to apply during an acute respiratory illness.

But to do this in practice is simply unrealistic, because in order to get to this specialist, you need to sign up, there is a very long wait in line. In general, this is not at all easy to do and, of course, it is impossible to predict that the disease and the appointment with the doctor coincide. Well, since I rarely got sick, I decided to put up with it and move on with my life.

Nose and pregnancy

That's how I lived until I got pregnant with my second child. My first pregnancy went perfectly: spring, summer, autumn. Not a single disease, excellent health. The second pregnancy fell on the period autumn, winter, spring. Plus, the eldest daughter went to kindergarten and began to drag me all sorts of different viruses from there. She was sick, and after her I was sick. Moreover, every time I got sick worse, all with more and more bad symptoms. And all this continued when the second baby was born. Worse and worse.

Since I was pregnant all this time, then breastfeeding, they again didn’t take the same picture of my nose, because I couldn’t do it.

However, here is an interesting paradox of our medicine - they forbid taking a picture of the nose for pregnant, lactating women, and without a picture of the nose, serious antibiotics are prescribed - you can.

Antibiotics seemed to help me at the time. Yes, they removed the symptoms, it seemed that the tests there became normal, the nose began to breathe. Everyone was content and happy. But several months passed, my daughter brought another virus, I got sick again, and everything fell into place again.

“Somewhere not there I am being treated”

Then the children began to grow up, too, to get sick more and more often. This made me think about the fact that maybe I’m looking in the wrong direction somewhere and I’m being treated somewhere in the wrong place. I began to practice homeopathy, but I realized that it was too difficult, probably for me. I started looking further.

And in response to my request, the Universe sent me an acquaintance with a trainer in natural cleansing of the body and a psychologist in one person. I found her through social networks by accident, signed up for a free consultation. I realized that I like this person, that I want to cooperate with her, and we began to clean me with her. And one of the ways to cleanse the body, which she owns, is the technique of conditional starvation according to Marve Oganyan.

I will not dwell on this technique in detail here, if someone is interested, you can find information on the Internet. Well, again, I don’t want my incompetent, maybe there is some kind of interpretation to enter into your ears.

Well, in general, I began to starve, and my coach warned me that in the process of hunger, an exacerbation is possible, and even, most likely, it will be an exacerbation of all the chronic diseases that I have accumulated over all my 30-odd years. Well, that's how it happened.

And in my first long hunger, my sinusitis worsened, which I did not know about then.

And I found out about him in a very strange way.

One fine day I woke up in the morning, I felt, I didn’t even see it yet, but I felt that one eye blinked strangely, that some kind of very heavy eyelid. I went to look and saw that the mobile upper eyelid on my right eye was swollen. Swelling. And while I was walking and doing my usual morning things there, this swelling increased. Then she switched to a fixed eyelid, and, in the end, in just half a day my eye turned into such a form, as if a bee had stung me there.

And I have two kids at home. My daughter, in my opinion, was also sick, or there were weekends, some holidays, well, in general, she was not in the garden. Husband is on a business trip. I urgently called one of my friends there, they came to me, and I went to the clinic.

Well, since the eyes are swollen, to whom did I go? I went to the optometrist. The ophthalmologist prescribed local treatment: drops in the eye, ointment on the eyelid. Well, she sent me for a picture of the nose and for a consultation with an ENT doctor.

I could already take a picture of my nose, I have finally stopped feeding my youngest child. I went and did it, the picture showed bilateral sinusitis.

Doctor, when, well, ENT doctor, when she saw the picture, when she saw me with my eye, she, of course, was horrified. And she said that I urgently need hospitalization, a puncture, well, through this puncture, I think many of you know, it is pumped out of these maxillary sinuses. For some reason, she did not offer me any other alternative.

But I said that, purely physically, I can’t go to the hospital, because I have no one to throw my children on - such a situation. Then she prescribed antibiotic injections for me, which still had to be selected in some strange way, that I had to buy one injection, to inject. They had to understand there by some signs whether it suits me or not. And then make a decision whether to inject it.

And besides that, she gave me a list of seven drugs. Well, in general, I looked at all this, was horrified and hit the road from there.

Well, of course, I was in direct contact with my coach. She supported me, said that she would help me correct this condition of mine, that everything would be fine! And I went home. I don't know what they thought of me.

What did you do

I began to drink even more fluids, walk even more in the fresh air, and move actively. I added inhalations with such a medicine to mine, one of my favorites, which I had found before that - Sinupret.

There are tablets, and there are also drops that can be taken orally, or you can add them to inhalations, to a solution for inhalation. I had an inhaler, and so I added them - I remembered them again. They helped me a lot at the time.

And thus, literally there in two or three days my edema was gone.

At that moment I was just in hunger, that is, I did not come out of hunger. And plus added these things that I talked about, and my swelling went away. Well, it’s true, I didn’t manage to completely get rid of sinusitis during this one run of hunger.

After about a month and a half, I went for another long hunger. And that's where I finished it.

Well, now I can say with confidence that I cured my sinusitis without doctors and without drugs. Why I say this is because I took a second picture of the maxillary sinuses, which showed that everything is clean there. Well, everyone threw up their hands. Probably, they did not believe me and decided that I was treated somewhere by a private doctor. For me it doesn't matter anymore. I am very satisfied with the result.

Two important points

Well, there are two more important points that it is worth mentioning here that I used saline nasal lavage. It, of course, and doctors all recommend it. But the only question is how to wash.

I washed: I didn’t instill saline solution into my nose, I didn’t rinse it from a pharmacy spray bottle, but I washed it using a yoga technique. There are also several options. And as one of these several options, you can use the Dolphin flush.

It is sold in a pharmacy, but it is quite expensive. I didn’t buy it, I washed my nose from a sports bottle with saline, which I prepared at home. Salt water, if in Russian. Here.

  • And I also used one very strong remedy that the same Marva Oganyan promotes (you can read about it from her) - these are cyclamen drops. Cyclamen is a plant related to violets. Well, only it should be forest there in order for the effect of the treatment to be more pronounced.

Its root is bought either from herbalists and drops are prepared independently. I bought ready-made drops, again I will not say where. If you need it, you can google it and find it yourself. There are not so many of these manufacturers, but it is quite easy to find them. In the search, they pop up without any problems.

And this cyclamen, it also thins the mucus, when instilled in the maxillary sinuses, it disperses everything there and improves excretion. And I am now finishing just a three-month course of this cyclamen. Here. And I can say that I solved my problem.

What is the result

And, of course, in between hunger strikes, I adjusted my diet, which, again, was helped by my coach. Towards a healthier, more balanced. I began to eat much less animal proteins. I believe this helped me too.

I want to wish you to think more about what you are being treated for, how you are being treated, and not blindly trust medicine. At the same time, of course, I do not advise you to completely refuse the help of doctors. At least to be able to diagnose. Without this, too, probably nothing. In today's world, I think it's stupid to refuse this, you need to know exactly what you're dealing with.

But you can’t blindly trust, everyone should have their own head on their shoulders. And seek and you shall find. The right information always comes at the right time. Perhaps the way that I described is not your way, and you will find your own. I wish you success in this quest on your path to health! All the best!

In conclusion, we invite you to watch this 14-minute video, in which Dr. Kozlov, one of the best "ear-nosed" in Russia, tells how to cure sinusitis without punctures and pain.

What will help with laryngitis

A fairly common disease in our time is laryngitis - inflammation of the mucous membrane of the larynx. Our hectic age in every possible way contributes to this disease with stress and the fast pace of life: it’s worth jumping out for a while into the street in the cold, or sipping cold cola, especially in the heat, or smoking in the cold - the result of all these activities can be laryngitis.

To get sick, it is not necessary to look for an infection somewhere, sometimes the microflora that lives in the oral cavity is enough, behaves peacefully, and even participates in the life processes of your body.

Many people know that stress weakens the immune system. However, few people know, but magnesium-containing drugs help to resist stress.

“But this is chemistry,” you object.

Not necessary. Minerals such as magnesium are also found in herbal preparations, for example, in Ivan-tea (angut-leaved fireweed). Trace elements from the plant are well absorbed by the body, which distinguishes it from the "chemical" counterpart.

herbal tea for laryngitis

A long time ago, our ancestors noticed the healing properties of fireweed, and prepared Koporye tea from it - twisted green leaves and flowers without seeds, and laid them for several days to ferment. Then dried. After such a procedure, the leaves and flowers contain more useful substances (enzymes).

In addition to magnesium, Ivan tea contains trace elements such as calcium, iron, phosphorus, potassium, sodium, zinc, as well as many antioxidants: thiamine, riboflavin (B2), niacin (B3), pantothenic acid (B5), pyridoxine (B6) , folacin (B9), ascorbic acid. These vitamins normalize redox processes.

  • Ascorbic acid, and reduces the likelihood of its reappearance.
  • Thiamine can be safely called an anti-stress vitamin, because it is necessary

To get the most healing tea, do not use boiling water for brewing, because. it destroys enzymes and many vitamins. Let the water cool for 5 minutes, and pour it over the tea leaves. Let it brew for 10 minutes. Such tea will have a milder taste (due to enzymes) with a slight sourness (vitamin C).

Add a teaspoon of honey and you can start treating laryngitis in a delicious and proven way. Lemon - optional, but without fanaticism, so that there is no irritation of the mucous membrane.

Attention, in no case do not drink burning tea! Especially with inflammation of the mucous membrane of the larynx. Let it cool down to body temperature. Every sane adult should understand that burns will not cure a cold. Also avoid cold, spicy and salty foods. If you smoke, reduce the number of cigarettes to a minimum. Let your throat rest.

According to the reviews of herbalists, Koporye tea is an excellent general tonic. It can be drunk to treat and prevent colds and. It removes toxins. After a month of taking, it is recommended to take a break of 2 weeks, because. an excess of some substances contained in the decoction can lead to diarrhea.

Tea has no contraindications, except for cases of personal intolerance, children can drink it. During lactation and pregnancy, admission is allowed under the supervision of a doctor.

Feedback on the treatment of laryngitis in a small child

Listen to the review of Anastasia, a mother who managed to sound the alarm in time and prevented the worst:

Good afternoon. My name is Anastasia, I have prepared another story from our life. How many different stories have already accumulated over the 9.5 years of the life of my son Ignat, and when I think about how much more there will be ...

Today the topic of the story is laryngitis. Laryngitis is quite common. I read that every third child is faced with this disease, although I did not hear anything about it until I personally encountered, more precisely, with what it is dangerous. The main thing is that the younger the child, the more dangerous the laryngitis. Ignat was not even a year old when he fell ill with acute respiratory infections. Of course, this is a whole story of how to treat acute respiratory infections in young children. Lord, this tiny nose, all these devices in the form of enemas, tubes, these methods of extracting snot. Plus, a fragile body with imperfect reactions to various pathogens. When I remember, I shudder.

Let's focus on laryngitis. It originated with us...

... as it usually occurs - as a complication against the background of acute respiratory infections or acute respiratory viral infections. At that time, I read a sufficient number of different books on development, upbringing, caring for a small child, common diseases, symptoms, which diseases are considered characteristic of a particular age. In general, the arsenal of books was quite impressive. But they wrote about laryngitis in such a way that, in general, it did not seem to be fraught with anything dangerous. It was I who then tried to specifically find some hint of a danger to the life of the child and did not find anything. I think maybe I missed some important information - no, it just wasn't there.

Of course, now it is much more, but 8 years ago it was quite problematic to find information. In fact, it is probably impossible to foresee everything, if only in medical, in pediatrics for the second highest. And back to the main thing, I will tell a story from our life.

barking cough

So, it all started with the fact that by the evening the child had a cough, the cough was kind of strange, I could not determine which one. I've never heard of such a thing. I started to get nervous, my husband said: “Come on, call the doctor tomorrow, everything will be okay,” but this did not calm me down. In principle, I am a mother-alarmist, but as practice shows, I do not panic for nothing. I decided to calm myself a little differently - I thought that if there was nothing terrible, then I would apologize to the doctors, and dialed 03.

In "Ambulance"

The duty officer or the operator, I don’t know how it’s right, immediately asked what kind of cough. I did not know how to describe it, she asked: "Barking"? Yes, that was exactly the point, namely barking. She quickly wrote down the address and the ambulance was with us literally in 10 minutes. In another 10 minutes we were already rushing in an ambulance to the hospital. There was no time to collect things, things were brought by my husband later.

While we were driving in an ambulance to the other end of the city to the medical town, the doctor said that I was doing well, that I immediately called an ambulance, it was about 9 pm. The most terrible time is in the morning, when the passage already narrows so much that it can completely stop the access of oxygen, and then they may not be able to save the child. My hair was up on my head. I immediately remembered my husband - how many such husbands, how many such young mothers who think - come on, it will cost. Horror.

There was no desire to ask questions while sitting with a child in her arms in an ambulance. I was all collected, mobilized, the brain tried to work out the situations, there was not enough information. Once again I thought about higher medical education.

In the hospital

In general, having reached the hospital, we were quickly received, there was no characteristic temperature. We were diagnosed with stenosis of the first degree of the larynx. There are four degrees, the fourth is actually fatal. They probably put dolls on us when the ambulance arrived, I don’t remember now. I only remember that all treatment was reduced to inhalations. We breathed oxygen, did inhalations, plus, we were given antihistamines. I asked: "Is that all"? And that's all.

It was also important to drink plenty of fluids to moisturize the mucous membranes. The next day we drove home, bought a small, compact, ultrasonic Japanese nebulizer, and successfully survived this crisis.

And it already seems that all this is somewhere far away, and indeed it did not seem to happen to us. But since then I know for sure that it's better to play it safe, to be an alarmist, to trust your intuition, especially when you're not sure, in doubt - call an ambulance.

A little about herbs

I don't want to scare, I want to warn. It still happened to us against the background of the fact that we turned out to be quite allergenic, so growing up, we very carefully selected folk methods. First we got acquainted with chamomile, then with linden. Cranberry fruit drinks entered the diet much later, from the age of 5 only. Honey even later - probably from the age of 8.

No need to force things. If there are herbs in your life, take your time, include them gradually. For example, I am very respectful of herbs, I read a lot of literature, I try to figure it out. But the more I read, the more questions arise. Now I am bombarded with questions in the herbal market - when they were collected, where, in what area. And immediately those who do not comply with either the rules for collection, or the rules for harvesting, or storage are identified. It's dangerous to buy from them. I do not call for an interrogation with prejudice, but to talk, try to find out what and how.

It took me a while to find a herbalist I trust. This was helped by a case from the life of my mother. But that's another story. Good luck, take care of yourself and your children. See you again.
