What is the difference between Mixan mosaic plaster and decorative materials from other manufacturers?
From marble plasters, such as Bayramix / Bayramix, Bolars, etc. Mixan plaster differs in the composition of the filler. marble plaster contains finely crushed crumbs of natural or colored colors in its composition, colored quartz sand is used in Mixan mosaic plaster. What does it give? As you know, marble is a fairly porous mineral. One has only to drop a little water on an untreated cut of marble, or into a container with dry marble chips, as you will immediately see how the water quickly absorbed into the mineral. This is especially evident in the light colors of marble chips. Marble chips, used in plaster, partly has the same water permeability. What does this lead to? During the period of operation of marble plaster, when cleaning the decorative surface, contaminated water inevitably penetrates into the pores of the plaster and the marble mineral itself, as a result of which the decorative coating quickly loses its original attractive appearance. This is clearly seen when using marble plaster of light colors on facades and in interiors with intensive workload. Often, white marble chips, as the most used in the preparation of color mixtures, lose their whiteness and take on a dirty look, which is reflected in the general appearance of the interior or facade after six months - a year from the moment of application.
Colored quartz sand, produced in our production, is reliably protected from water penetration by a transparent layer of polyurethane compound applied over it. At the same time, no contamination during cleaning does not linger on the surface of the decorative coating. Mixan plaster adheres to the surface so firmly that it can be washed with a medium pressure high-pressure cleaner, such as Kärcher. Even after several years of operation, Mixan mosaic plaster retains its original clean appearance.
As for mosaic plasters from colored quartz sand from other manufacturers, they are mainly represented by foreign analogues, which are 1.5 - 2 times more expensive than Mixan plaster, with the same performance properties. As for the aesthetic appearance, by meeting the wishes of customers, we were able to make the color of white quartz sand the closest to the ideal white color, compared to competitors' products. This made it possible to use Miksan mosaic plaster most often when decorating interior walls.
During operation, decorative plaster can be vacuumed or subjected to wet cleaning. The finished coating has good resistance to aggressive atmospheric environments, temperature extremes and resistance to physical stress. With careful operation, decorative plaster retains its original appearance for many years.
