This standard applies to measuring knives intended for measurement by the axial section method of threaded gauges with a pitch of more than 0.5 mm and a lead angle of up to 7 ° 30 "and smooth gauges.

1. TYPES AND BASIC DIMENSIONS

1.1. Measuring knives must be made of the following types:

RPB - threaded right large (Fig. 1);

RLB - threaded left large (Fig. 2);

RPM - threaded right small (Fig. 1);

RLM - threaded left small (Fig. 2);

GP - smooth straight lines (Fig. 3).

1.4. Size I is defined as the distance from the edge of the measuring surface of the threaded and working face of straight knives to the middle of the stroke, measured in the direction perpendicular to the edge (face).

2. TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

2.1. Measuring knives must be manufactured in accordance with the requirements of this standard according to technical documentation approved in the prescribed manner.

2.2. Knives must be made of XB5 steel according to GOST 5950-73.

It is allowed to manufacture knives from steel grades X and HVG according to GOST 6950-73 or ShKh15 according to GOST 801-78.

2.3. The hardness of the measuring knives must be at least HV 739 according to GOST 2999-75.

2.4. The surface roughness should not exceed the parameters according to GOST 2789-73:

upper surface (with a stroke) - Rz 0.05 µm;

faces forming the measuring edge - Rz 0.05 µm;

non-working surfaces - Ra 0.32 microns;

non-working surface, rounded along the radius, -Ra 0.63 microns *

2.5. All non-working sharp edges of knives must be blunted. The width of the blunting should be no more than 0.2 mm.

2.6. The blunting of the apex of the 52° angle should be no more than 0.03 mm.

2.7. Blockages of the upper surface at the working edge are not allowed.

2.8. The stroke should be clear and even. The stroke width should be within 0.003-0.004 mm. The non-straightness of the stroke should not exceed 0.001 mm.

2.9. The non-flatness of the upper surface (with a stroke) should not exceed 0.0006 mm, the lower one - 0.002 mm.

2.10. The non-parallelism of the upper and lower planes should not be more than 0.002 mm.

2.11. The non-parallelism of the stroke and the edge (working face) should not be more than 0.0005 mm.

3. TEST METHODS

3.1. The knives should be checked using the methods specified in GOST 8.236-77.

4. MARKING, PACKAGING, TRANSPORTATION

AND STORAGE

4.1. Each knife must be marked with:

a) nominal size (0.3 or 0.9 mm);

b) trademark of the manufacturer;

c) serial number;

d) year of issue or its symbol;

e) the number of this standard.

The marking must be clean, even and legible.

4.2. Before packaging, the measuring knives must be washed with a degreasing and non-corrosive liquid and treated with anti-corrosion treatment. Knives wrapped in paper that does not absorb grease must be packed in boxes.

The kit should include two threaded knives (right and left) or two straight knives.

4.3. The box should have:

a) trademark of the manufacturer;

b) the number of this standard.

4.4. For transportation, knife boxes should be wrapped in waterproof paper and packed in wooden boxes lined inside with waterproof material, according to current standards. The cases must not move inside the box.

During transportation, the boxes with knives must be installed so that the possibility of their movement is excluded.

When transporting knives in containers, the requirements of this paragraph must be observed.

4.5. Each set of measuring knives must be accompanied by a document certifying its compliance with the requirements of this standard.

The document must contain:

a) product name;

b) nominal size;

c) serial serial number;

e) confirmation of compliance of knives with the requirements of this standard;

f) the number of this standard.

4.6. Knives should be stored in dry, heated rooms, in the air of which there should be no impurities that cause corrosion.
