C2BA INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE Umbrellas are installed on exhaust ventilation shafts in systems with natural and mechanical motivation in order to protect the shafts from atmospheric precipitation. The standard size of the umbrella is taken according to the outer size of the mouth of the shaft. Deflectors are installed on exhaust shafts in systems natural ventilation to ensure air exchange due to thermal and wind pressure. Deflectors are numbered from 3 to 10 according to the outer diameter of the shaft, expressed in decimeters. The choice of the deflector number is made in accordance with the estimated amount of air. For effective operation, the deflector must be installed 1.5-2.0 m above the roof ridge.

ADDITIONAL DATA

The connecting dimensions of umbrellas and deflectors correspond to the standardized dimensions of air ducts according to SNiP 2.04.05-86 and the connecting dimensions of the nodes for the passage of exhaust ventilation shafts through the coatings industrial buildings according to standard documentation series 5.904-10. With the entry into force of the working drawings of the 5.904-51 series, the working drawings of the standard designs of the 1.494-32 series are canceled.
