How to connect a bidet to the sewer and water supply. Installing a bidet: the procedure for installing and connecting plumbing equipment to engineering communications. What role does the drain valve play?

No matter how modest the area of \u200b\u200byour bathroom is, you can always manage to conveniently arrange all the necessary plumbing on it. And we are talking not only about the traditional set of toilet, shower and sink, but also about additional appliances, in particular,. The main thing in this matter is to use all available techniques for optimizing a limited space. In the case of a bidet, this technique is the installation of a hidden installation. What does she represent? What are the advantages of this solution? How to install the installation and bidet with your own hands? You will find answers to these and other questions below - to your attention design features, advantages, connection diagram and step-by-step instruction installation installation with video.

Types of installations

The bidet installation is a fixing metal structure designed for plumbing installation hanging type. Based on the features of the design, there are two variations of the structure.

The first is block. A simplified type of installation, which is a massive body with special sections for fittings. The structure does not provide for support mounts on the floor, so it can only be installed on solid main walls of the bathroom. To the latter, they are fixed with anchors, which take on the main mechanical load.

Frame installation

The second is frame. Installation of a complicated structure, having the form of a U-shaped frame with four points for fastening: two - on the wall, two - on the floor. Such a structure is mounted not only on the main walls, but also on corner junctions, and in niches, and on light partitions.

Advice. If you plan to install a bidet in a bathroom niche, choose a frame installation - it allows you to adjust the installation depth of plumbing, which makes it possible to install it in a niche of any size without first expanding it.

Advantages of installations

The use of a bidet installation provides many advantages:

  • Space optimization. The installation allows the most rational use square meters bathroom - you get the opportunity to hide water and sewer pipes, fittings and other engineering elements in the structure, which often not only take a lot usable space, but also make the bathroom extremely non-ergonomic and uncomfortable.
  • Non-standard location of plumbing. The installation makes it possible to install a bidet in any area of the bathroom, which allows you to build a new layout of the room and decorate the interior according to your design idea.
  • Reliable fastening of a bidet. The body of the installation is made of steel, and the fasteners fix the plumbing fixtures in a given position as firmly as possible, which in total allows the structure to withstand loads of 300-400 kg without any problems.
  • Ease of cleaning the bathroom. Suspended arrangement A bidet greatly simplifies the process of cleaning the room.

Installation is reliable and convenient way plumbing fixtures

And another fundamentally important advantage - the bidet installation can be installed without the help of professionals. The installation of the structure is carried out in three stages.

Stage number 1: Installing the frame

The first step is to decide on the installation location. Here you need to remember that according to the norms, the sewer pipe is connected from the riser to the bidet at a slope of 5 mm per 1 running meter– the chosen location should provide such an opportunity. As already mentioned, a block installation is attached to the wall, and a frame installation is attached to both the wall and the floor. Wherein work wall may have minor defects, but flooring should be as even as possible, otherwise the frame cannot be skewed. To prevent such a nuisance from happening, before installing the installation, you need to perform a floor screed. To mount the frame you will need:

  • installation system kit - the structure itself and anchor bolts;
  • perforator or drill;
  • screwdriver;
  • level;
  • tape measure and pencil.

Having decided on the location of the installation, mark work surface- mark the frame attachment points and drill holes for the bolts through them. Then try on the installation and adjust its position. If the fit of the frame is even, fix the structure with anchor bolts.

Stage number 2: Summing up communications

To ensure the full functioning of the bidet, you need to bring three pipes to it: two water pipes - for cold and hot water, and one sewer. To connect them between uprights installation, a special plate with already basic threaded couplings is provided - it is into these couplings that pipe fittings are screwed. Further, sewer and water pipes are directly connected to the fittings.

Installation installation

The most important thing when connecting engineering communications– ensure maximum tightness and reliability of connections. To do this, the gaps between the couplings and fittings are closed either with a special sealant, or fum-tape, or flax.

It is desirable that the pipes do not come into close contact with the installation frame and are fixed in their position almost motionless. To do this, they are fixed with clamps. If contact with the frame cannot be avoided, a thin foamed polystyrene gasket can be laid between the pipes and the installation.

If you plan to install a bidet with electronic control mixer, after laying the pipes, consider the location of the power lines and their combination with the water supply.

Stage number 3: Installation of a bidet in the installation

After the frame is fixed and all the pipes are connected, it remains only to install the bidet itself into the installation. This stage includes three main steps:

  1. Installation of the mixer and its connection to the water supply. The mixer must be installed behind the metal structure plate, but its adjustment mechanism should be brought out of the installation through special holes. If the mixer is automatic, do not forget to connect to it power cable electrical networks.
  2. Installation of a siphon and a drain pipe with the connection of the latter to the sewer outlet.
  3. Fixing the bidet to the frame. Installation is carried out using the studs that come with the installation system - fix them to the frame, and only then hang a bidet on them. The distance between the hairpins can be 18 cm or 23 cm - the step between the fasteners depends on the dimensions of the bidet. Keep in mind that plumbing should be raised above the floor by no more than 43 cm.

Installation of plumbing

The installation of the installation is completed with the final facing of the frame with plasterboard or plastic panels followed by decorative design stitching.

As you can see, the bidet installation has a lot of advantages: it is ergonomic, practical, aesthetic, functional. And most importantly - the installation of the structure can be done even with your own hands. And the above step by step instructions with a connection diagram in this matter will be your best helpers - take them into service if you want to get a reliable and durable latch for your bidet.

Today, the bidet comes into use all more our compatriots.

If you decide to become the proud owner of this extremely useful device, it will not be superfluous to learn how to install it - this will save a little.

Let's see how the bidet is installed various types with your own hands.

Let's start with the easiest variety to install - the shower toilet. As the name implies, this device combines both functions, which is very convenient for those who do not have free space in the bathroom.

The bidet toilet is installed in exactly the same way as a conventional toilet, only it will be necessary to connect hot and cold water supply to special pipes using a flexible connection.

Bidet and toilet

A tie-in is made into the “hot” pipe in the usual way, but it is most convenient to connect to the “cold” pipe in the place where there is already a tie-in for supplying water to the tank: a tee is screwed here, and then lines to the tank and to the mixer are connected to its outlets built-in bidet.

If the model is electric, on the wall behind it (so as not to be conspicuous) you will have to install an electrical outlet with grounding. It must be connected through an RCD that trips with current leakage from 10 mA.

Connecting a separate bidet

Although the freestanding bidet looks like a toilet bowl, its installation is more similar to the installation of a washbasin. They operate in the following sequence:

  1. The device is assembled (connect a mixer and a siphon to the bowl).
  2. By choosing appropriate place, attach the bidet to the floor or wall (hanging model).
  3. Connect water to the mixer.
  4. Connect the siphon to the sewer.

Bidet connection diagram with dimensions

For electric model lay the wire in the box and install the socket.

Faucet and siphon installation

There are three holes in the bidet bowl:

  • to install the mixer;
  • for connecting a siphon;
  • to connect the overflow pipe.

The mixer is installed like this:

  1. A gasket is put on the studs on the bottom of it (usually supplied in the kit).
  2. Next, the mixer is installed in place, while the studs are passed into the holes intended for them in the bowl.
  3. Under the bowl, another gasket is put on the studs, and behind it is a metal washer.
  4. Nuts are screwed onto the studs and tightened with moderate force. If the design of the bidet does not allow you to freely operate with an open-end wrench, you should use an end wrench.

While the bidet is not fixed, it can be screwed to the mixer nozzles flexible eyeliner. There is already a gasket in the tubes, so it is not necessary to seal the connection with tow or FUM tape. The force with which the flexible hose nut is tightened must be moderate, otherwise the gasket may be damaged.

To ensure that the gasket is not damaged when tightening the nut, place a paronite gasket over the nut.

The siphon is not always supplied with the bidet. If you have to purchase it separately, do not forget to pay attention to the presence of a pipe for connecting the overflow pipe.

Siphon connection

Installation order:

  1. If the bidet comes with a bottom (drain) valve that must open simultaneously with the mixer, then you must first install it according to the instructions. Subsequently, the lever of this valve will need to be connected by a rod to the mixer. If there is no such valve, we install it on a coated silicone sealant drain grate. To fix it, a nut with a wedge-shaped ring is used.
  2. A siphon is connected to the bottom valve or grate.
  3. A corrugated outlet hose is connected to the outlet of the siphon using the nut on it.
  4. A grate designed for it is installed on a gasket in the overflow hole.

A corrugated hose is connected to the overflow grate with a nut, the second end of which is fixed on the overflow pipe of the siphon.

Floor/Wall Mounting

The place for the bidet should be chosen so that it is located closer to the toilet, but at the same time it is convenient to use it. Before the device must be free space at least 0.7 m. Having decided on the place, Proceed to fixing the bidet.

Here is how the floor model is installed:

  1. The sole of the device standing on the floor is circled with a marker and they also mark the position of the mounting holes.
  2. Next, the bidet is placed on its side and its sole is again outlined on a piece of linoleum or rubber pressed against it. Again, note the position of the mounting holes.
  3. A gasket is cut out along the applied contour from linoleum / rubber.
  4. In the floor, according to the markings, holes are drilled with a diameter corresponding to the diameter of the dowel sleeves or special fasteners for toilet bowls - depending on which of them will be used. Ceramic tiles you need to go as carefully as possible, using a special spear-shaped drill and setting low speed drill chuck rotation. Impact, of course, is unacceptable.
  5. After removing the debris remaining after drilling, sleeves for fasteners are installed in the holes.
  6. Next, the gasket is put in place (on the floor, as the reader remembers, the outline of the sole was drawn). Silicone sealant can be applied to both of its surfaces.
  7. It remains to install the bidet on the gasket and screw it to the floor with the selected fasteners.

Scheme of attaching a hanging bidet to the wall

Whoever deals with a hanging bidet should do the following:

  1. Assemble the frame (called "installation") as directed in the instructions. Adjustable legs must be available.
  2. Insert the elbow with the cuff installed into it into the holder for the sewer pipe on the frame.
  3. Set the frame to the desired position, controlling the horizontal and vertical, respectively, level and plumb. The legs must be adjusted so that the bidet is at a height of approximately 40 cm.
  4. Mark the position of the mounting holes on the wall and floor with a marker.
  5. Having set aside the installation, drill holes and, having removed debris, insert dowel sleeves into them.
  6. Install the frame and screw it on.
  7. Connect the sewer pipe elbow installed in the frame to the general sewerage system.
  8. Fix the water pipes on the frame and connect hot and cold water supply to them. It is pipes that need to be connected, and not flexible pipes, since all communications, due to the hidden installation, must be as reliable as possible.
  9. Screw shut-off valves to the nozzles and then, after supplying water to the system, check the tightness of all connections.
  10. Screw the studs into the frame, fixing them with nuts. After that, protective sleeves must be put on the studs, which will prevent clogging of the threads during the installation of drywall.
  11. Install drywall partition and pass water pipes and a sewer socket through it.
  12. First, put a special rubber or silicone gasket on the studs, then the assembled bidet. After that, nuts are screwed onto the studs, fixing the device. Tighten them with moderate force so as not to deform the drywall.

It should be noted that the gasket between the bidet and the wall plays a very important role. If it was not included in the kit, you just need to apply silicone (sold in tubes) to the bowl and, after waiting for it to dry, install it.

Water connection

To connect the bidet to the water supply, you need to screw the nuts of the flexible connection connected to the bidet mixer onto the tees embedded in the pipes (for floor model) or on the nozzles installed in the frame (for hanging).

Connecting the bidet cover to the water supply

In all cases, it is desirable to install shut-off valves, through which the bidet can be cut off from the water supply without turning off the entire system in the apartment.

Connection to the sewerage system

Connecting a bidet to the sewer is no different from connecting a washbasin:

  1. In the socket of the sewer pipe must be inserted rubber cuff. Since rubber dries out over time, it can be lubricated with silicone sealant for reliability.
  2. The end of the corrugated outlet hose connected to the siphon is also lubricated with a silicone-based sealant.

Installation diagram for bidet

After that, it remains only to insert the outlet corrugated hose into the cuff of the socket of the sewer pipe.

Bidet drain

During the use of a bidet, water often gets on the floor. Therefore, it is very advisable to arrange a drain in the floor in the same way as they do in public showers.

There is a lot of work to be done:

  1. The floor is knocked down to a concrete base.
  2. The base is waterproofed.
  3. A ladder is installed and connected to the sewer - a drain funnel with a siphon.
  4. Sheets of extruded polystyrene foam are laid on the floor. The ladder and the pipe extending from it are lined with them, for which grooves must be cut in the foam.
  5. A film is laid over the foam, and then a screed of such thickness is laid so that the ladder is filled along the bottom edge of the flange.
  6. The floor is covered with ruberoid. A hole is cut out in it with a diameter corresponding to the internal diameter of the drain, so that the flange is covered (holes must be cut out for the screws).

Installed top part a ladder, after which a screed with a slope is laid and tiles are laid.

It's a variety plumbing device for personal hygiene. Today, such an accessory is becoming an essential attribute of bathrooms and toilets, so questions constantly arise regarding how to connect a bidet, or which design is better to choose - a floor-mounted bidet toilet that combines several functions at once, or a set of separate devices. To begin with, you should familiarize yourself with design features such plumbing items and their possible types.

It is better to entrust the installation of a bidet and other plumbing to professionals if you do not have certain skills.

Design feature of the bidet

A bidet is needed if the bathroom and toilet are separated by separate rooms, resulting in more complicated personal hygiene after visiting toilet room. Even if both rooms are combined into one bathroom, installing a bidet is fully justified, especially when the bathroom space allows.

The bidet device is very similar to. Even outwardly, such equipment looks like an oblong bowl similar to a toilet bowl in size, removed from the floor at a distance of about 40 cm (toilet bowls have almost the same height). hallmark product is , as habitual for toilet bowl cistern replaced by crane original design connected to hot and cold water supply pipes. At the end of the divider, providing a change in the direction of the flow of water in the right direction.

The bowl of the product is also structurally different, namely, its rear part. AT without fail siphons for the bidet are installed, while the toilets are equipped with direct outlets that provide drainage into the sewer system. The release of the device can have any direction, so when choosing it is important to focus on the features of the existing sewer socket.

That is, we can talk about the similarity of a bidet not only with a toilet bowl, but also with a washbasin. In the first case, external similarity is noted, and in the second - functional.

Types of plumbing devices

  • Floor execution. The installation of a bidet and a toilet of this type is carried out by screwing to the floor;
  • Hanging solution. An installation is built into the wall, sold complete with such a model. plumbing equipment. As a result, all water supplies and drains are hidden under the wall.

Another criterion by which products are divided is the type of crane:

  1. Option that repeats the design of the washbasin faucet.
  2. A model that provides an upward movement of water in the form of a fountain. The bidet is connected through a small hole located at the bottom of the bowl, where water is supplied under pressure. warm water. On the way to the exit, the water passes along the rim of the seat (inside the structure), as a result of which it heats up, so using a bidet with this function is as comfortable as possible. When choosing this option, the water supply mechanism is pre-assembled before installation.

If there is nowhere to put the toilet and bidet set due to lack of space, both elements are combined. For this, special models are selected in which a miniature bidet faucet is installed on the toilet under the cover. In addition, significant costs can be eliminated by supplementing the existing one to both branches of the water supply.

Siphons for bidets are mandatory, while toilets are equipped with direct outlets that provide drainage into the sewer system.

A bidet takes up about the same amount of space as a toilet.

Self-assembly bidet

Installing a bidet involves the use of special tools in the form of a drill or punch, which come with victorious drills diameter suitable for fastening equipment, adjustable wrench, mounting tape and tow providing reliable waterproofing. Installation of a bidet is impossible without screwdrivers and wrenches, and finally fastening - without silicone sealants.

  1. Such models are located as close as possible to the toilet while maintaining a distance corresponding to working area(about 70 cm). Before installation, it is important to carefully read the instructions supplied with the equipment, check the availability of the required equipment and differentiate the holes. A mixer is mounted through the top, the side and bottom are designed to install an overflow system and a siphon (a product with a diameter of 4 cm is suitable, in which corrugated pipe and cast body).
  2. To install a bidet, a mixer and a siphon are purchased in advance, adhering to a single style solution. In the presence of main water supply the mixer must be equipped with ball valves, a single-lever model will be less practical.
  3. To connect the faucet to a water supply source, thin wires enclosed in a metal braid and an accompanying kit with nuts, washers, and rubber seals are taken.
  4. The ends of the inlet flexible hoses are fixed in the sockets of the selected mixer model, inserting them into the holes made in the shelf. For fastening, a nut is used, which is tightened while holding it parallel to the board. end head and tongs.
  5. After that, the installation of a bidet involves screwing in a drain grate, to which inside the end of the siphon is attached. Connections are tightened manually. Drain pipe leading to the sewer back side equipment is pulled out.
  6. The product is fixed to the floor. To do this, be sure to make the initial markup, put the equipment in the planned place and check if there are enough connections in length to connect to the water supply system. After that, holes are made at the places indicated on the floor. In order not to violate the integrity floor tiles, drilling is performed at low speeds. When the holes are ready, they remove debris and fix the bidet with bolts and dowels, additionally installing rubber gaskets.

Suitable for floor structure fasteners are sold in construction stores. The best option are the elements used to fasten the toilet bowl. Reliable fixation of the edges of the product in order to prevent contamination from getting under them is treated with a silicone-based sealant.

On the final stage installation, connect the bidet to sewer system. In the process of piping, they tend to locate the attachment points of the hoses behind the plumbing equipment. In this situation, a small length of eyeliner becomes a guarantee effective functioning systems.

It is possible to connect the bowl to pipes masked in the wall, if two outlets are brought to the surface, providing water supply, and an outlet for draining. After connecting the hoses, check the functionality assembled structure by opening the water. The check is done by supplying water under good pressure to monitor possible leaks, which are immediately eliminated by tightening the connections or additional sealing. If the joints remain dry, the successful installation of the bidet and the possibility of its operation can be stated.

If you have any doubts about the purchase of such unique sanitary equipment as a bidet, then you don’t even have to think about it - such an element will soon become an indispensable element of your bathroom, thanks to its ease of use and aesthetic appearance. In addition, its installation does not require special skills and experience, so each person can independently install a bidet in their home. More details on how to install a bidet will be discussed below.

Despite the similarity of a bidet with a conventional toilet, in its design it is closer to the washbasin. It is worth noting that if your bathroom has very modest parameters, then it is better to use a toilet with a bidet function or a popular bidet lid in this case. Recently, similar models with an electric drive have appeared.

Provided that your bathroom is spacious, then it will accommodate both a toilet and a separate bidet without any problems. The latter type of equipment can be equipped with a mixer and resemble a sink, or fill with water when used. They have special nozzles that direct the flow of water upwards.

What is needed to install a bidet?

The installation process of this equipment depends on its type: floor or hanging bidet. In the latter case, you should seek help from professionals or, at least, for advice if you have at least some experience with such equipment - installation of a hanging bidet includes not only correct connection to the pipes and the organization of the drain system, but also the introduction of the tank and other elements of the equipment into the wall.

In any case, if you decide to install the purchased bidet in the bathroom yourself, then read the installation instructions for this equipment, and also look for similar information on Internet pages - it will be easier for you to understand and present the entire algorithm of the upcoming work. In addition, you will need special tools, among which are:

  • perforator;
  • wrenches: wrenches and gas;
  • special tape;
  • silicone sealant.

How to install a bidet with everything necessary tools? The entire installation process has only four stages:

  1. preparatory stage;
  2. and installation of a siphon;
  3. fastening to the floor;
  4. connection to the sewer system.

It does not matter which model of equipment you have purchased, it will be necessary to bring water supply and sewerage to any of them. If this is an ordinary bidet, then it has a faucet located on the side, which must be installed first.

Most often, a mixer is used that has a floating head, and in some cases a hygienic shower. In this kit there are also hoses or pipes made of copper. They are easily screwed into the faucet by hand, however, you should not tighten them too much, because you can damage the rubber gaskets.

After completing the above steps, it is necessary to insert the mixer into the appropriate hole and securely fix it in it. At the opposite end of the hose there are also nuts and gaskets made of rubber. If they are lost, they can be connected using silicone analogues, which are more practical. When bringing water supply to the equipment, experts recommend putting additional taps blocking the flow of water - this will eliminate the problems of supplying water to the entire house in the event of a change in the bidet or its mixer. A layer of flax or plumbing tape is wound on the threads of the tap and the corresponding pipe, and sealant is applied on top with an additional layer.

For construction sewer exit a pipe with a diameter of 0.5 cm is used. The next step is to assemble the siphon for the purchased equipment. Such an algorithm is presented in the instructions that are included in its kit, but they all have their own characteristics, which depend on the functionality and design of each bidet model. It is advisable to coat the joints located on the siphon with silicone sealant. In order not to use additional adapter cuffs for sewer pipes, professionals recommend choosing a corrugation with a diameter of 0.5 cm. If this parameter is smaller, then you cannot do without the use of cuffs corresponding to the diameter of the corrugation.

The next step in the process of installing a bidet is its secure fastening. When using a floor-mounted bidet, make marks on the floor for future holes with a pencil, and then drill them. If you have a hanging bidet, then the above steps are also performed, but only on the surface of the wall. It is worth noting that, depending on what type of bidet you have purchased, fasteners are selected different diameter. So, for a hanging bidet, holes are drilled with a diameter of 14 and 16 mm, and for a classic one - 10 mm.

After that, dowels made of plastic are inserted into the holes obtained, and the equipment is installed in the place intended for it. Through the holes obtained, special studs are screwed into the dowels until the bidet is firmly and securely fixed. But you should not apply too much force, because the product can simply crack. Next, the siphon corrugation is inserted into the sewer pipe, and the corresponding hoses are connected to the water supply pipe. For the same purpose, wrenches of open-end or adjustable type are used. Nuts are being tightened manually, and the key is only pulled up half a turn.

It is worth paying attention to the wiring: the places where the hoses will be fixed should be immediately behind the bidet. This is justified by the fact that the smaller the eyeliner, the more efficient the entire system will work. In the event of a breakdown, it is very convenient when there is open access to the pipes, but recently many apartment owners want to hide the drain system in the wall.

By installing the purchased bidet yourself, you will feel all the difficulties this process and find out what problems can arise in such situations. Therefore, the more you are aware of this issue, the easier the work will go, and the result will be better and more aesthetic.

Nowadays, the use of a bidet, which looks very similar to a toilet, is gaining more and more popularity. The bidet is designed to maintain personal hygiene.

As a rule, it is made of sanitary ware, it is advisable to buy it complete with a toilet bowl so that everything fits into the interior. If the dimensions of the bathroom do not allow you to install a complete set of plumbing, then you can limit yourself to a combined bidet. To date, there are a lot of such models. The most convenient and practical is still an electronic bidet for the toilet. The water and air temperature is controlled by a microcomputer. There are also models of electronic bidets, in which the functions of air freshening and water filtration are added.

If this option does not suit you, then you can simply put a faucet with a hygienic shower next to the toilet. Of course, there are bidet covers and simpler, without electronic "brains". Cold water is simply supplied to such a lid and hot water, which is regulated by means of specially designed cranes. Many people use and toilet paper, and combined bidet.

Although the bidet looks more like a toilet, it is better to equate it with a washbasin or small bath. For small bathrooms, toilets with built-in bidet functions are perfect. Not so long ago, the so-called electric toilets appeared. They have a more elongated shape, and their tank is larger, as it accommodates additional electronics. When you press the desired button, a tube appears, from which water of a given temperature is supplied. Toilets with bidet function are sheathed in hard plastic, which makes this device very durable.

If the dimensions of the bathroom allow you to install both a bidet and a toilet, then it is better to put both devices. Some bidets are more like a sink and have a special mixer, while others can be filled with water if necessary. They also have special nozzles built into them, through which water beats with a fountain up.

There should be no problems with installing a bidet, since this is done in the same way as in the case of a toilet bowl, and instructions are attached to each device.

So, what is required to install a bidet? Of course, you need to have some tool:

  • hammer drill or at least a drill with a punch
  • set of open-end wrenches or adjustable and gas wrenches
  • plumbing linen or special tape
  • it is better to purchase silicone sealant in advance, since factory gaskets are not always airtight.

So, when everything you need is at your fingertips, you can proceed with the installation. Any bidet, regardless of its design, must be supplied with water supply and sewerage. If you have a simple bidet, then it looks more like a sink and has a faucet on the edge. First you need to install this same mixer. For a bidet, a mixer with a floating head or a hygienic shower is usually used. It comes with either flexible hoses or copper tubes. Screw them into the mixer, you can by hand, without using a key. You should not pull hard, as you can damage the rubber gaskets that are located on the edges of the hose or tube.

Then insert the assembled mixer into a specially designed hole and fix it there. There are union nuts on the other end of the hose, there should also be gaskets there. Most often, the gaskets are rubber, but if they are lost, you can replace them with silicone or paranitic ones. In my opinion, silicone gaskets are more practical.

Of course, the installation of a bidet requires a sewer outlet and a water supply. It is better to put additional taps on the water supply so that in the event of a bidet or mixer replacement, there is no need to leave the entire apartment or house without water. On the threaded connection tap and pipe, first we wind flax or tape (I prefer flax, since you can turn the tap a little back or forward if you haven’t calculated the forces. You won’t be able to do this with a tape). Silicone sealant can be applied to the top of the linen.

The sewer outlet is usually made with a pipe with a diameter of 50 mm. Next, you need to assemble the siphon for the bidet. detailed instructions comes with a siphon. All connections on the siphon are best coated with silicone sealant. It is better to use a corrugation for a siphon with an outlet with a diameter of 50 mm, so as not to purchase additional transition cuffs for sewage. If, nevertheless, the corrugation has a diameter of 40 mm or 32 mm, then insert into sewer pipe desired cuff, for example 50/32 mm, or 50/40 mm.

After everything preparatory work completed, it remains only to fix the device. If the bidet is on the floor, then mark holes on the floor with a pencil and drill them with a hammer drill or impact drill. If the bidet is on a suspended installation, then we do the same on the wall. Only fasteners differ. For a floor bidet, holes with a diameter of 10 mm are usually drilled, for a hanging bidet, 14 and 16 mm.

After the holes are drilled, insert plastic dowels into them and put the device in place. Screw special studs or bolts into the dowels through the holes on the bidet. It is worth pulling until the device stops staggering. Do not pull hard, as the device may crack. After that, insert the siphon corrugation into the sewer pipe, and screw the hoses from the mixer onto the water supply pipes. To do this, use an adjustable or open-end wrench 22 by 24 mm. Tighten the nuts again by hand, and tighten about 1/2 turn with a wrench.

If you are installing an electronic bidet cover, you only need to connect cold water. Better buy a bidet well-known manufacturers, some of which guarantee
