How to make a Christmas tree out of a candle. Christmas tree candle with your own hands. Master Class. How to make your own candle mold

How nice it is to surround yourself with things that keep the warmth of human hands! This is especially true when store shelves are littered with Chinese consumer goods and fakes for world brands.

Prepare for work:

Candle stubs or paraffin;

Wax pencils - we will use them as a dye, they melt wonderfully. Instead of wax pencils, food coloring, oil paint may be suitable;

Wick or thick cotton thread (you can weave a pigtail from floss);

Thick glossy paper;

Scissors;

Stick, pencil, brush;

Bank - 2 pcs.;

Beads, beads;

Pot with water.

Grind the cinders of candles and put them in a jar or tin, crumble a green wax pencil there, it is better to rub it on a grater. Place the jar of wax on water bath and completely melt the contents.

Roll up a glossy sheet, it can be a magazine cover, thread the wick through the middle. Fix the sheet upside down in a glass or jar, and fix the wick in the center with a wooden stick. Now it remains to pour paraffin and wait for the candle to harden.

We take out a candle and do the decor. Set the candle on the cardboard and secure with glue or a carnation (stick it through the cardboard into the candle from below). Do not forget to trim the base of the Christmas tree, it will probably turn out to be beveled. Cut off the excess wick.

AT beautiful candles now there is no shortage.

In the store you can buy any color, shape, with any smell. Nevertheless, that's why she is a "bad head" so as not to give rest to her hands.

Craft homemade candle not so difficult.

This will require:

Can;

Paraffin or wax;

Thick thread for the wick;

Sequins.

Optionally, you can use dyes (ordinary food will do) and essential oils.

Paraffin or candle wax can be purchased from specialized stores.

1. So, we are preparing a mold for a candle. Cut out a small circle from thick foil - a retainer for the wick. We make a hole in the center of the circle and thread the thread prepared for the wick into it. At the end, you need to make a knot so that the thread does not fall out of the hole.

Preliminarily (a day before), it is good to soak the thread for the wick in a solution of sodium nitrate or dip it in paraffin and let it harden.

2. Cut out such a figure from thick cardboard. We make folds along the dotted lines.

3. We fix the wick at the top of the paper pyramid. Glue sparkles on the walls of the pyramid with oil - these sparkles will then remain on the candle.

Wrap the paper pyramid tightly in foil. Check that there are no holes left.

Prepared form - put the pyramid in tin can. The mold for filling the candle is ready. Now let's move on to paraffin.

4. Paraffin is rubbed on a grater or cut with a knife into small pieces, folded into a container. The container with paraffin is placed in a saucepan with water and all this is put on a slow fire.

Constantly stirring, melt the paraffin in a water bath until a homogeneous mass is obtained. At the end of melting, you can drip a few drops of dye.

5. Fill in the candle mold. After melting the paraffin, carefully pour the entire liquid mass into the prepared mold. Before pouring the form, you can drip a few drops of essential oil.

When pouring, the wick must be supported so that it takes vertical position about the candle.

6. Leave paraffin to harden. Remove after cooling upper shell and our candle is ready.

Everything you can meet New Year!

We moved aside, and I continue the candle theme I started And I will share with all readers of the site a new interesting master class.

Preparing for the New Year the best time for creativity. Recently carried out another decorative idea and made small multi-colored puff candles for the holiday, turning them into original Christmas trees. There are kits for making such puff candles you can find them for sale. With sets, everything is simple and convenient, but not everyone will be able to find or purchase them. But it's not a problem. Today you will learn how to make puff candles with your own hands at home or original colorful candlesticks for the New Year holidays. You will do everything yourself if you spy on my actions. >>>

The idea to make original Christmas trees from candles for the New Year holidays was born thanks to creative kits produced by the domestic manufacturer DetiArt. The main thing in the sets is the forms. I had to be a little creative with the embodiment of the idea. Think about how you can replace the flat molds that are included in the kits for creativity.

Having considered various forms, which can be found on sale, came to the conclusion that it is possible to replace flat molds with figured cutouts, which are used for baking.

Materials required to make puff candles:
  • Shapes of the same shape, flat or cut with different diameters
  • Candle mass or ordinary household candles
  • Wax crayons
  • glass cutting board
  • Wick
  • Wide eye needle
  • Super glue "Moment" or "Second", etc.
  • Water bath containers
  • Wooden stick for stirring
  • tack
  • Stove for warming up a water bath (do not use oven, microwave)
Videos master class

For those who have problems watching the video, I will tell you everything in order, and also talk about what is left behind the scenes and other details.

Work process:

If you are using ordinary candles, then you need to grind them first. Melting lends itself, of course, to a completely immersed candle in a water bath, but by grinding the candles, you will speed up this process many times over. You can also find in stores ready-made granular colored candle mass, which I mentioned, and use it.

To get details different colors or shades, you can tint candle raw materials with colored wax (paraffin) crayons. Meanwhile, using various colors you can get unusually beautiful new ones. About the power of color, color combinations and about mixing colors, read the articles on the site:

While the mass is melting, prepare the surface and the molds into which you will pour it. I used cutting board from fire-resistant glass. I put molds on it.

Melting candles is a simple, but dangerous business. The main thing here is not to turn over the heated water bath with all the contents onto yourself. Be careful! Immediately ladies a little advice. If possible, use a melting vessel with a so-called spout, like jugs. Then the molten mass during pouring will fall exactly into the molds.

In some cases, even a plastic container may be suitable. Unless of course she is not afraid of high temperature.

If you use a saucepan, like mine, then perhaps part of the mass will be overboard. But, no big deal! Gather it back into the melt after it hardens under. Just add more work. As I added to myself, since there was nothing suitable at hand. However, this did not affect the result. 😉

Don't forget to use an oven mitt so you don't burn yourself when pouring the melted candle into the moulds.

It is very convenient to use flat factory molds that come in sets to create puff candles.

Let me remind readers that I did not have such a set, and not everyone will find such a set on sale or be able to afford to buy. Therefore, you can take cut-out cookie cutters. In order to finally assemble Christmas trees from parts, it is desirable that they have the same shape, but a different size (diameter).

In the center of the finished flat candle parts, using an awl heated over a fire, holes must be made and strung from the wider part to the narrower part onto the wick. Thus, a candle is formed, resembling a curly Christmas tree. The height of such a stylized Christmas tree ultimately depends on your desire and imagination. From the amount of detail that you make.

I did not look for threads suitable for this purpose, but used wicks from old candles that went into business. So that the wick does not fall out, I glued it super glue to the bottom of the candle.

Such Christmas trees should be transferred from candle layers by taking them carefully under the bottom so that the wick does not “run away” anywhere. They burn beautifully, just like the candles from which they were created.

Original colorful Christmas trees are ready! Now you can celebrate the New Year or any other holiday in cozy light coming from home-made candles.

Christmas tree from magazine pages

To make a pretty Christmas tree out of magazine pages you will need:

  • old magazine;
  • PVA glue;
  • cardboard;
  • pen or pencil.

First of all, you need to make a cone out of cardboard and fasten it with glue. Neat circles or flowers of the same diameter should be cut out from the pages of an old magazine.

The resulting circles need to wrap the pencil. Thus, they will turn out a little twisted. Then you can start gluing the circles to the cone, starting from the bottom. The mugs should be glued by pressing them tightly against each other so that the cone itself is not visible. From one circle, you can make a small cone and glue it instead of the top. The tree is ready.

Fluffy Christmas tree made of colored paper

A Christmas tree made of ribbons of colored paper turns out to be very elegant. To independently make such a New Year's beauty you will need:

  • thick cardboard cone;
  • colored paper;
  • PVA glue;
  • double sided tape.

First you need to make the base for the Christmas tree, for this we take a thick sheet of cardboard, fold it into a cone shape, fixing it with glue. Then we make thin strips of colored paper, the same in length and width. Christmas trees made of green, red, silver and gold paper look very impressive. Using glue, glue the strips along the edges, getting loops out of them. We attach the resulting loops to one side of the adhesive tape, and fasten the other side to the cone in the direction from the bottom up. Thus, a funny fluffy Christmas tree is obtained.
