The flowing water filter "Geyser", which is installed under the sink, was bought when the child was born. Before that, we had a jug-type filter. Extremely inconvenient, ineffective thing. You have to wait a long time until the water passes through the cartridge and merges into a jug. And if you are going to cook soup, compote, and just drink tea, it is very annoying. Besides, there is only one carbon filter which has a small cleaning range. And yes, it takes up space on the countertop.

I had seen enough horrors in the urological department of the local hospital, and even after listening to the rave reviews of my friends, I succumbed to their advertising.

Replacement cartridges are also cheaper. A set of replacement cartridges can be purchased for 1390 rubles.


Each set of replacement filter cartridges comes with special gaskets. The cartridge is securely fixed in the flask.


Polypropylene and cartridge and carbon block can be found cheaper from another manufacturer. But the Aragon 2 cartridge is only there. But more on that later.

A water filter with such dimensions fits perfectly under the sink. The husband made the connection on his own (in the store they offered to connect for 500 rubles). The whole procedure took about an hour.

  1. Unwind with the supplied wrench, the second housing, and unscrew the Aragon cartridge.
  2. Pour water out of it(at Aragon-M special key unscrew the bottom plug, remove the dispenser if necessary, screw the plug in until it stops) and clean outer surface cartridge with a soft brush (for example, clothes) under running water. When replacing the Aragon cartridge, remove insert B from the used cartridge and place it in a new cartridge, remove the cover of the new dispenser, insert it open side up and screw in the bottom plug until it stops.
  3. Collect filter in reverse order and rinse it for 1-2 minutes.
  4. The filter is ready to go.

Cleaning from iron salts (carried out after mechanical cleaning)

  1. In enamel or glassware prepare 3 liters of hot 3% citric acid solution (40 g or 2 tablespoons per liter of water)
  2. Put the cartridge into a sink or a suitable container on a stand and pour the prepared solution through it, pouring it into the Aragon cartridge through the threaded neck in portions to the very top until the solution coming out of it becomes clean and transparent.
  3. cook 0.6 l of 2% solution of baking soda (1 teaspoon of soda per 0.6 l).
  4. Install cartridge Aragon into the case and pour soda solution inside. It is necessary to fill in the solution through the neck of the cartridge until it is completely filled with the solution and the body.
  5. After an hour, pour the solution and assemble the filter in reverse order.* Open a clean water tap and pour water for 5 minutes.
  6. The filter is ready to go.

Cleaning from hardness salts (carried out after mechanical cleaning)

  1. Prepare a solution for regeneration. Pour 40 g of citric acid, 30 g (2 teaspoons) of soda into a container of 1.5-2 liters and pour 1 liter of water. Water should be poured in several stages, since foaming occurs (carbon dioxide is released).
  2. Install cartridge into the housing and completely fill it with the prepared solution (approximately 0.6 l).
  3. Leave for 10-12 hours, then remove the cartridge and pour out the spent solution.
  4. Put the cartridge vertically into the sink and pour the remaining solution through it, pouring in through the threaded neck and allow to drain completely.
  5. Wash out the remaining solution from the cartridge with water in two stages. First, pour 3 liters of water in portions to the very top of the cartridge through the threaded neck. Then wrap the neck plastic wrap and secure it with a rubber band or twine.
  6. Flip and twist bottom plug with the appropriate key.
  7. Put in the sink in this position vertically and pour another 3 liters of water as described above.
  8. Remove film and screw the bottom plug back into place.
  9. Collect filter in reverse order.
  10. Open a faucet for clean water and rinse the filter with water at a rate of 1-1.5 l / min for 3 minutes.
  11. The filter is ready to go.

Findings:

The water in our city is hard.

1. Printing replacement cartridges

6. Change cartridges

Replace the primary cleaning cartridge. To do this, we bring the key from the bottom of the cylinder and begin to unscrew:

As you can see, the changes are quite serious. No wonder it is recommended to change the filters every 0.5 years - a year.

We install a new cartridge (either side) and twist the balloon back.

Let's move on to the next filter - complex cleaning. We start the key from below and unscrew the cylinder:

Unlike the previous cartridge, having removed the central cylinder, it is necessary to unscrew the old cartridge with your hands (it has a thread on top). After removing the cartridge, you will see the following picture:

When installing, the procedure is reversed. First you need to screw the new cartridge by hand:

And only then, screw the balloon with a key.

So, let's move on to the last water purification filter. The procedure is repeated. Unscrew the bottle with a key:

7. If the cartridges have not been changed for a very long time

Let's make a small digression. But what if, by some absurd accident, you completely forgot about the filters, and that the cartridges in them need to be changed? More than a year has already passed, or maybe more than two years, and now you suddenly remember! I think this has happened to a lot of people.

Firstly, this is not good, because you need to change cartridges every six months - a year, which means that you drank all the overdue time bad water: you can say even worse than from the tap. Secondly, when detected, there is no need to panic, you just need to promptly to replace the cartridges. However, a surprise awaits you when you replace it. Even after six months (see pictures above), you will see that the white flasks in which the cartridges are placed are far from ideal. White color They are already heavily soiled. When you remove the old cartridges after a longer period, you will see that the flasks inside are covered with a terrible brown coating. The lids into which the flasks are screwed will look approximately the same. I don't even want to install brand new cartridges in such dirt. What to do? Do not buy the whole filter on a new one?

In this case, it makes sense not to change the cartridges one at a time, as I just told about it, but to unscrew them all at once, remove them from the flasks, thoroughly clean the flasks themselves from rusty brown deposits, clean the caps and only after that install new cartridges in the flasks.

It is easy to clean flasks and lids from plaque using folk remedies:

  1. We take citric acid (2 sachets per 1 bottle + 1 sachet for caps - total: 7 sachets).
  2. Boil a full kettle of water.
  3. Let the water in the kettle cool down a little (so that it is not pure boiling water, but just hot water).
  4. We fill hot water in 3 flasks to the top, where there is plaque.
  5. Dissolve citric acid in water in each of the flasks and on the lids.
  6. Let stand for about half an hour.
  7. Using a special brush-brush, we clean the walls of the flask and the lid.

The result is simply amazing:



Of course, it will not be possible to obtain ideal whiteness, but it is quite possible to thoroughly clean it so that you can continue to use it. Some people also recommend using baking soda in addition to citric acid, but I managed only acid.

In principle, if you see that even after six months your cylinders are heavily contaminated, then in any case you can first clean the cylinders with caps and only then install new cartridges.

8. Open the water supply valve to the filter

So, after cleaning the flasks, caps and replacing the cartridges, it remains for us to open the water supply valve to the filter located under the sink.

9. Open the ball valves on the risers

Now you can turn on the water in the apartment by opening Ball Valves.

10. We regulate the water supply to the filter

Highly important point. Open the water filter faucet, from which water flows into the sink and look at the water pressure. Water from this faucet should not fly out in a powerful jet. If this is the case, close the filter tap under the sink:
