Making a tea house with your own hands. Decoupage of tea houses master class House for tea bags decoupage with napkins

The master class was held by Oksana Lebedeva.

Many housewives are trying to equip their kitchen, add comfort and warmth. This requires extraordinary, but functional things. One of them can be a tea house for storing tea bags.

Materials:
preparation of a tea house;
putty;
acrylic paints (white, ocher, red, burnt umber, gold);
acrylic lacquer;
PVA glue;
table napkin made of bamboo straw;
three-layer napkin;
decorative element butterfly;
stencil.

Tools:
flat bristle and synthetic brushes;
sponge;
toothbrush and stick;
sandpaper No. 150, 180, 600, 800;
file;
palette;
glue "Moment Crystal".

How to decoupage a tea house.

We glue the structure. We strengthen, primed with a mixture of white acrylic paint, putty and PVA glue (proportion 1: 1.1). Apply with a stiff bristle brush to create an uneven texture. We dry. Then we cover the house with white acrylic paint and dry again.

1

We create the main background of the house. To get a creamy shade, mix white paint with 2-3 drops of ocher color (you can add ocher or sienna acrylic paint instead).

2

We dilute the resulting shade to a "kefir" state. The resulting water-color mixture is applied with a soft synthetic brush. We dry.

3

We tear out the necessary motives from the napkin, glue them using the “file method”. Put a napkin on the file front side way down. Pour a little water on top (you can do this with a spray bottle). Gently spread the napkin over the water with your fingers or a soft brush, after which excess water merge from file. We turn the file over with a napkin down and put it on the surface to be decorated.

Smooth well. Carefully lift the file (so as not to pull the fragments of the napkin), remove it with a towel excess moisture along the edges of the motif. You need to try to lay down the napkin without wrinkles. We fix the motif with glue. We act from the center to the edges of the motif, using a soft brush, and then you can slightly smooth it with your finger (it is important that your fingers are wet - there is less risk of pulling the napkin along with you). Dry well.

4

Glue floral motifs below and above the windows. Dry and fix with 1-2 layers of acrylic varnish. After drying, level the surface with a fine-grained sandpaper(at least No. 600).

5

We prepare the paint for the stand and the roof: we slightly muffle the brightness of the red with burnt umber. We paint these details of the house. After drying, the stand is varnished in two layers and dried well.

6

We also paint the edging of the walls and windows with a red-burgundy color. The lines are thin, so we act carefully with a flat brush and, where possible, a small sponge. With light tangential movements, we also pass along the edges of the walls, slightly “dirtying” them.

7

Apply the same paint stencil drawing at the bottom. We fix the stencil with masking tape. Use a hard bristle brush. We hold the brush at an angle of 90 degrees and “drive in” the paint with tamponing movements. Wipe off excess with a cotton swab.

8

Add a light splash. We dip the toothbrush in water, apply a little paint, put it at an angle of 90 degrees to the surface. With a stick, we draw along the brush towards ourselves, while moving along the surface. We fix with a layer of acrylic varnish. Lacquer is applied with a flat synthetic brush. We dry.

9

Since the layers of paint made the walls thicker, we file the holes a little with a flat file and insert the parts into place.

10

We make thatch roofing. We cut the sticks along the height of the roof from a bamboo napkin. A gauze-based napkin, so it is convenient to cut between the straws with a clerical knife, and the straw itself is cut well with scissors.

11

Unnecessary threads from the gauze base are singeed with matches. We glue straws with small gaps - we get 8 parts for each half of the roof. We put the parts under pressure to dry.

12

We paint the thatched roof with red-burgundy paint, dry it and cover it with 2-3 layers of acrylic varnish.

13

stain on water based tinting the inside of the house, reverse side roof and bottom of the stand. Lacquer after drying. Sanding with sandpaper No. 600. Remove dust wet wipe and varnish again.

14

We glue the stand, and attach the butterfly to the roof. On all red-burgundy faces (stand, windows, roof) you can additionally walk with a semi-dry brush with gold paint. Putting on a couple finishing layers varnish and dry well.

15

By the way.
The color of the stain "migrates" under the next layer of varnish, so that the entire jar of varnish does not stain, pour a little into another container.

The color intensifies after varnishing.

- The blank of the tea house is glued together with PVA building glue. Perfect option- Before drying, fix the structure with clamps. But if there are no such tools, use masking tape or rubber bands for money.

A stencil can be used to create three-dimensional elements. In this case, you need to apply a structural paste or just putty through it, smooth and carefully remove the template, and dry the three-dimensional drawing well.

Each layer of varnish must be dried well, and preferably in a natural way, since the varnish may crack when using a hair dryer. If drying with a hair dryer is inevitable, keep it at a distance of about 25-30 cm from work.

What is a tea house? This is a box in the form of a house with a lid, in which it is very convenient to store tea bags. And due to the fact that the packages are ordered, they can be easily removed through the “entrance-arch”.

Materials and tools

To decorate such an interesting item, we need:

  1. Blank " tea house»,
  2. round or oval plate blank,
  3. acrylic paints (To-Do company, Ladoga),
  4. napkins for decoupage,
  5. white ground (Tair),
  6. bituminous varnish (Tair),
  7. acrylic varnish (Dulux),
  8. stained glass tape,
  9. lace,
  10. gas soldering iron (Dremel),
  11. water-based patina (Sayerlack),
  12. iron brush,
  13. brushes, sponges.

brushing

We begin the decor of the workpiece with brushing. We burn the lid of the workpiece and the lower part to blackness and then with an iron brush we clean out all the cinders.

A beautiful tree structure emerged. While we leave them in this form, we will paint a little later.

Now let's draw the boards.

We burn out "boards"

We measure 5 cm from the base of the workpiece. This is the lower part of the workpiece for the polka dot background image, so the “boards” are useless there. With the help of a ruler and a pencil, draw lines to the very top.

In set gas soldering iron There are various nozzles for burning. We will use a flat nozzle to simulate boards. We heat up the soldering iron and fire it along the lines we just drew. The deeper we burn, the more realistic the boards will look.

We clean the cinder with a triangular file or a coarse sandpaper folded in half.

If you do not have such a soldering iron, the lines can be developed sharp object, but it will take a little effort.

Coloring

Now paint the "boards" with brown paint diluted with water. This color will show through worn, light-colored paint.

As noted above, on the bottom of the blank we will have a polka dot background image.

We prepare the surface for decor, cover it with a thin layer of artistic acrylic primer. In order not to stain the painted “boards” and the brushed part of the workpiece, we will protect the surface with masking tape.

We proceed again to the imitation of the boards. We apply wax or a candle to the borders and paint with acrylic paint.

In this case, we have light beige color.

After complete drying, we will show scuffs with coarse sandpaper. We move along the boards.

Do not forget about the wooden tag that will decorate the front of the workpiece.

Now you can paint the brushed part of the workpiece. In this case, we will use Sayerlack's white water-based patina. We paint so that the patina fills all the recesses of the relief surface. Instead of patina, you can use white acrylic construction paint slightly diluted with water.

After drying with a damp cloth, wipe it from the protruding parts of the brushed surface and fix the work with wax or acrylic varnish.

Decoupage

Let's start decoupage.

We thin the paper with the background image with adhesive tape and stick it on the bottom of the blank.

It is important here to accurately measure the width that is needed for this part of the workpiece. In this case, we measured 5 cm. And before gluing, you need to place the soaked paper on the edge of the file in order to gently butt it to the bottom of the workpiece. Excess paper after drying is sanded with sandpaper.

Well, almost everything is ready.

Final stage

We cover the tea house with one layer of acrylic varnish and let dry. We decorate the borders of the background image with a stained glass ribbon. If the tape at the joints peels off, fix it with Crystal Moment glue.

on the window with inside we stick lace, which will immediately give the subject a special charm.

Dirty a little if desired bituminous varnish and a hand-decorated tea house is ready to decorate your kitchen and treat you to fragrant tea.

Conclusion

Autumn is such a time of the year when we must warm each other with our words, deeds and smiles. This is such a time of the year when you want to spend it in the circle of close people over a cup of hot tea. Can you imagine if your table is decorated with such a cozy tea house self made? Believe me, all the problems of the passing day will simply imperceptibly somehow dissolve in your small cup of fragrant tea. I wish you warmth and delicious tea drinking! Bye Bye.

A tea house is a cute accessory that will add coziness to your kitchen and will be remembered by your guests for a long time. Looks like small house containing tea bags.

Such a house can be purchased at the store, or you can make it yourself. Usually, a wooden blank is used for this, which is sold in needlework stores.

And most in a simple way Decorate a tea house is decoupage.

Decoupage is a decoration technique in which images on paper are pasted onto wooden or other surfaces.

Decoupage of a tea house, the master class of which we will now demonstrate, can be done in two ways.

Simple decoupage of a tea house

For work we need:

  1. Wooden blank.
  2. Decoupage napkin or decoupage card with a suitable image.
  3. Primer
  4. Acrylic paints
  5. PVA glue

We take wooden blank.

If necessary, we process with sandpaper, cover with a primer. After drying - cover with white acrylic paint.

We separate about 2/5 of the height and seal it with masking tape. top whiten again.

Please note: to make the strokes more accurate, they must be done vertically, along the entire length of the surface to be decorated.

After the top is dry, you need to stick masking tape on the other side and paint over the bottom in dark color. Here, umbra is used for this. On top - a little gold acrylic, which is then rubbed with a candle. This is done in order to get an imitation of attrition, which is typical for old things.

Now you should paint the roof of the house in the color of its base. To get natural shades, you can follow the following sequence: one coat of paint, then a little gold paint. We rub the gold with a candle and cover it with a second layer of paint.

If you add a little umber to the white, you get a nice creamy shade. We cover the top of the house. Optionally, you can paint the inside of the house. Don't forget to paint the bottom!

We turn to the decoupage of the tea house itself.

We cut out (or better, tear out) the necessary elements from the napkin, glue them with PVA glue. We varnish the entire house.

The house can be decorated with lace or ribbon and it is ready!

Volumetric decoupage of a tea house

Volumetric decoupage technique is called in a different way ambient technique.

"Ambiente" - literally translated as " environment”, but in decoupage it is a “protruding drawing”. That is, this is such a decoupage technique, as a result of which the image is voluminous, with protruding elements.

So, to make a tea house using the volumetric decoupage technique, you will need the following materials:

  1. wooden blank
  2. Embossed acrylic paste (thin)
  3. A palette knife is a special knife. Instead, you can use a flat spatula (for example, from a manicure set)
  4. Acrylic paints (here colors such as cadmium red and yellow, ultramarine, burnt umber, chromium oxide, English red)
  5. Decoupage napkin or decoupage card. In this master class, a rice map with elements of architecture was used
  6. Spray lacquer (preferably matte)
  7. Acrylic varnish (also matte)
  8. 3-D gel
  9. Stencil for imitation tiles
  10. Glue (PVA or decoupage).

First, as usual, we prime our workpiece.

We tear out fragments from a napkin or rice card that will be used in the decoupage of a tea house. The indentation from the edge should be about 1.5 cm.

We stick architectural details on the house and flower pots. Glue only the middle, do not glue the edges yet!

Using a palette knife, apply relief paste under the edges. We give it the desired shape, and then glue the edges of the napkin. Thus, a volumetric element is obtained.

We make an imitation of brickwork on the walls using paste. Individual bricks can be drawn with a toothpick.

On the roof we apply the paste through the stencil. It turns out an imitation of tiles.

Then we paint the house, namely the walls and brickwork. At vine you need to draw in detail the foliage and antennae.

You can paint the house with other elements, for example, add a street lamp and cracks on the walls (as if the plaster had cracked).

We paint the cover on the tiles with "English red" paint.

Recently, there has been almost no person left who at least once would not have heard and did not understand what decoupage technique. It has become so widespread in our lives that most needlewomen cannot even imagine their life without it. Of course, because it is with the help of this technique that there is an opportunity, no matter how often, to express one's creative abilities and show one's inner world. After all, starting work in this technique, as a result, you can get something completely different from what you expected - it's like modeling with clay - no one knows what will come out as a result - it will be a masterpiece!

So, today we bring to your attention master class on creating a do-it-yourself decoupage tea house- great excuse decorate your kitchen, supplementing it with the necessary and very convenient thing.

For work we need:

  • blank made of wood or MDF in the form of a tea house.
  • white acrylic paint,
  • acrylic paints in different colors
  • napkin,
  • acrylic varnish,
  • contours,
  • kitchen sponge,
  • structural paste light,
  • palette knife,
  • bronze color varnish sprayer,
  • brushes,
  • PVA glue,
  • mosaic,
  • glue Moment "Crystal,
  • craquelure varnish.

Here, in fact, this is how the preparation of the tea house itself looks like. In our case, it is from MDF.

The first thing we need to do is paint or apply a base to the workpiece with white acrylic paint. So let's take a sponge and paint.

Let's not forget about painting and roofing. If one layer seems not enough for you and you see strong gaps, apply a second layer after drying.

The house is painted, the roof too - send them to dry. Dried up? Let's move on to work.

The surface can be lightly sanded so that everything is fairly even.

Then we turn to the napkin itself.

Cut out the desired elements with scissors.

These are the pieces we need.

After that, we cut off the edges with the help of the lobes of our fingers, so that the napkin is better in contact with the workpiece.

All elements are ready to continue.

Do not forget to stratify the napkin, only the top is needed for work. thin layer We don't need the rest.

And we will begin to alternately apply motives, deciding where everything fits.

First, glue the motif with a brush and water.

After we dilute a little PVA glue with water and apply it over the “applied motive”. Thus, we will glue the napkin to the workpiece.

Similarly, we will paste other elements on all sides, as you like.

Don't forget about PVA glue.

It's time to combine the colors and shade the house with them. Mix and achieve a creamy pink tone.

Using a sponge, apply paint around the pattern or motif.

That's what we have at this stage.

Let's set the house aside to dry, and turn to decorating the roof. Let's take structural paste.

Using a palette knife, apply a layer of this paste evenly on the surface of the roof.

And with the same tool we will “draw” the tiles.

The house is dry - then we boldly set about gluing the mosaic to the exit of the tea bags.

And we do it with glue Moment "Crystal". Thanks to its structure, we will not spoil the color of the mosaic, and the bonding will be absolutely transparent.

It's time to take craquelure varnish.

Let's apply it not in a thick layer on the paint around the elements.

And again dilute the paint to a tone lighter than before.

Paint over the surface with a sponge over the craquelure.

Pay attention to how finely the paint cracks - there were noticeable cracks - this is exactly what we wanted to achieve in this case.

Let's set the house aside to dry again. In the meantime, let's turn to the roof - the paste had to dry. It's time to take a can of bronze lacquer for decoration.

And cover the whole roof with them.

When this varnish dries up, take bronze acrylic paint a tone darker and begin to draw individual elements of the tile.

It turns out like this. Set aside to dry completely.

After that, mix beige and brown paint, take the usual toothbrush.

And spray with a brush droplets on the surface of the house.

Here's what we've got so far.

The roof is dry - let's turn to acrylic varnish.

We cover with it the roof and the house itself.

Again, let's wait until everything dries well. In the meantime, you can prepare the necessary color contours for decoupage.

Let's draw the details - flowers, greenery.

And, if you have contours with a pearl effect, apply voluminous droplets on the flowers in some places.

Work is ready! This house will serve great gift close person or just decorate your kitchen table with it.
