To make this chair, you will need the same fabrics - front and inside, zipper (70 cm) and filler.

Cut out the details from the front fabric according to the template and the same details from the inside. Sew them together first from the inner fabric, and then exactly the same product from the front fabric. Sew a zipper into the cover so that it can be removed, washed or changed.

Leave an open pocket on the inner bag. Turn the bag inside out and fill with granules and stitch the pocket, turning the cut edge inward. A handmade bean bag chair is ready. You can put a cover on it and fasten the zipper.

Drop-shaped bean bag

This chair resembles a drop in its shape. To work, you will need a strong fabric for the cover, an inner fabric for the bag, strong thread, a zipper and filler.

Cut out details from two types of fabric according to the following pattern, where petal-like wedges are the sides of the chair, and a large and small hexagon are the top and base, respectively. The width of one side wedge, when viewed from top to bottom: 20 × 50 × 40 cm, and the height is 130 cm. Accordingly, the edges of the upper hexagon are 20 cm, and the lower 40 cm. There are six wedges in the chair.

Before you start cutting out the wedges, make a template out of cardboard. With it, it is convenient to transfer the contour to the fabric so that all the wedges are the same.

Sew the cut wedges together along the side line. To do this, take two parts, fold them facing each other and sew along only one edge. Next, add one unsewn wedge to the already sewn parts, attaching it with the same right side. Sew along the unsewn edge. Thus, sew all the wedges together. You should get a vicious circle.

Turn the chair out through the resulting pocket. front side and straighten the corners. If you sewed the inner bag, then stuff the chair with filler and stitch the remaining edge, wrapping the cut inside the chair. You can also sew the side strong blind seam manually. Do not overtighten the thread, otherwise wrinkles may appear.

After sewing exactly the same chair from the front fabric, then sew a zipper into the unstitched edge, through which the cover from the chair can be removed for washing or replacement. Put the resulting cover on the filler bag and fasten the zipper.

On the top or side of the chair, you can sew a loop from the same fabric from which the cover is made. For it, you can lift or carry the chair.

Bean bag in the form of a large soccer ball

For this product, it is necessary to cut out parts in the form of equilateral hexagons and pentagons with a length of one edge of 22 cm. The number of hexagons is 20 pieces, and the number of pentagons is 12 pieces. You can diversify the palette and take your own fabric color for each type of detail. Below is a diagram of dimensions and proportions in millimeters.

In order to sew all the details into a whole ball, a special scheme will be required. Details are sewn into a long line with branches, which are further stitched together. The diagram is shown below. Notice the sequence of layers, where only the second and third layers are assembled from four parts, and the rest from three.

You can also make a ball chair only from pentagons. For this type of chair, you will need to cut 12 parts from the fabric. The length of the edge of one pentagon will be equal to 34 cm, where the allowance is already included in the indicated size. Such a ball is sewn according to the scheme shown below. The letters on the details suggest which side to connect.
