KempA

What is style - it's fashion that meets individual requirements everyone.

About the concept "Kitsch". let's go here from the original origin of the word. This is the only way to understand what this style is in itself.

According to the German dictionary (I looked it up myself), the word der Kitsch translate as "trash, bad taste". There are no other concepts and definitions.

Then already (this is my personal conclusion following from this topic and definitions different people) they began to call this word not only bad taste, but also twisted it to the stage.

KempA: products designed for an external, often shocking effect

But personally, I would not say that the stars on the stage are all without exception, who have a shocking effect and combine incongruous things dressed in kitsch style. It will not be kitsch, but an ordinary theatrical costume that originates in the theater. Theatrical costume is a props, if taken according to by and large. If you look at it closely - in most cases it can be called bad taste. But if you look from the audience to the stage, it will look wonderful and great. This is what I'm talking about personal experience theater work.

From this follows the conclusion that kitsch style in its new interpretation in itself 2 concepts at once, and it cannot be said that one of them is correct, and the second is not. Together they define this style.

Here are the pictures from the last post. Tamija I would not attribute them to bad taste, which is the original and true definition of the word "Kitsch" - because these outfits are quite acceptable for the stage, stage. They will look good there. And no one will call them tasteless. But on everyday life, perhaps they will not be appropriate, since it will have a name, "clothing not for the occasion."
And if I'm wrong, this is not Ready to wear, it's most likely Haute couture. Couture is not worn every day. It is worn on selected occasions.

By the way, KempA, will you give me a little one? on the material from your first post. Just for the first part. It is interesting to know which site and author defines this?

Here is a dictionary on http://www.fashionlook.ru writes like this:

KITSCH, KITSCH - (German) - cheap, sentimental, tasteless products, designed for an external, often shocking effect. The concept originated in German and originally meant a "cheap item", namely a repainted old furniture, issued for a new one. In the second half of the 19th - early 20th centuries. kitsch spread as industrial imitation original products. Over time, the concept has entered many languages to refer to unaesthetic objects or people with bad taste. In the 60s - 70s. 20th century kitsch became commonplace in so-called "bourgeois mass culture". the main role in the distribution of kitsch, pop music, shows, stars, etc. are given away. Shocking costumes, often in a diffuse style (for example, a lurid antique brooch on a leather jacket), original makeup, tattoos (in particular, stickers), all kinds of accessories are picked up by the public as a new fashion.

Perhaps, in your first post, the first words were deleted and erased from the definition of the concept, which misled people reading this topic
