Original do-it-yourself lamps from various bottles (3 MK). Original do-it-yourself chandelier from plastic bottles How to make a floor lamp from a bottle

Probably, every person from time to time accumulates glass and plastic bottles. Before throwing them in a landfill, think about whether they can serve you more? craftsmen have long been offering a lot of ideas on how to use such improvised material, it would seem, real rubbish, to good use. Such containers are used to make primitive but effective heaters, air humidifiers, all kinds of decor items and even fences, useful products for garden plot. In this article, you will learn several ways to make a lamp out of a bottle with your own hands.

Hanging bottle chandelier

A chandelier made of glass bottles will always harmoniously fit into your interior. It is also worth noting that hand-made lamps will be exclusive - no one will have exactly the same device as yours.

So, in order to make such a chandelier with your own hands, you will need the following items:

  • Three big bottles.
  • Gloves, goggles and mask for protection.
  • A cutter designed for glass bottles.
  • Sandpaper.
  • A small light bulb with a long wire and a switch.
  • Dark wire.
  • Screwdriver.

Now you need to disassemble the procedure, following which you can make a lamp from a bottle with your own hands:

  1. The first step is to get rid of the labels, then dry the bottle well.
  2. Wear protective clothing.
  3. Fix it in the cutter, placing it at the level you want to leave. You need to rotate the bottle carefully so that the cut is as even as possible.
  4. Pour the bottle first cold water, and then hot, alternating modes until the bottom falls off along the intended line.
  5. Put the item with the cut bottom on the sandpaper and scroll for about 5 minutes. This is necessary so that the edges become smooth and even.
  6. Disassemble the prepared light bulb using a screwdriver, then carefully remove the wire.
  7. Pass the wire through the neck, then reassemble the lamp and check its operation.
  8. Now, in order for the chandelier to become original, it is necessary to decorate the bottle with dark wire, starting to wind it from the neck. You can wind the design to your liking.

Decorating a lamp from a bottle

You can make a lamp from a bottle with your own hands, which will harmoniously fit into the interior on a balcony or loggia and will not interfere with admiring the night courtyard.

For work, we need the following items:

  • Empty glass bottle.
  • Propane torch with a thin tip.
  • glass cutter
  • Protective clothing and goggles.
  • Sandpaper.
  • Liquid glue designed specifically for decoration.
  • Decorative glass stones.
  • A light bulb with a long wire and a switch.
  • Screwdriver.
  • Chopic made of wood.
  • Small wire or rope.

Making such a lamp is not so difficult. Below will be described a master class on making a table lamp from a bottle with your own hands:

  • Get rid of the labels on the bottle and rinse it well both outside and inside.
  • Give her time to dry.
  • Carefully draw a line with a glass cutter along which the cut will go. The main thing here is not to rush and make sure that the lines close, otherwise an even cut will not work.

Important! Before this procedure, it is better to practice cutting other glass bottles well, as this activity is not considered easy.

  • Take a burner and heat the glass at the cut line, slowly rotating the bottle. After some time, it will split on this very line.

Important! Glass can be cut in another way: after you have drawn a line with a glass cutter, put the bottle in a container of cold water to the intended line, then pour boiling water into the container. Soon the glass will crack evenly.

  • Sand the cut line with sandpaper or a sanding block.
  • Put a drop of decorative glue on the edge of the bottle, then put a glass stone on it and press it so that it sticks firmly. Next, you need to glue the rest of the pebbles in a circle.
  • Leave the item to dry for 24 hours.
  • Take a small powerful light bulb, study its structure so as not to harm the structure in the future.
  • Disassemble it, then remove the wiring.
  • Pass it through the neck, then assemble the structure back.
  • Adjust the prepared chopik to the size of the neck so that it does not squeeze the wires. After that, the wooden chopik needs to be painted white.
  • Insert it into the neck, pressing down on the wire to secure the light bulb.
  • Take the lamp wire and tie it into a loop - this is necessary in order to hang the device where you need it.

Bottle table lamp

In order to make an original table lamp from a bottle with your own hands, you need to arm yourself with the following materials:

  • One glass bottle.
  • Diamond drill.
  • A light bulb with a wire and a switch.
  • Patch.
  • Shade.
  • Protective clothing.
  • Towel.
  • Screwdriver.

The manufacture of such an accessory is also not difficult. To do this, follow the following algorithm:

  1. Mark a small hole on the bottle where the wiring will go. A patch must be applied to this place.
  2. Put the bottle in a towel, use a diamond drill to drill a hole. Take your time - this procedure lasts about half an hour.
  3. Peel off the patch and other stickers on the bottle, rinse it from all sides.
  4. Using a screwdriver, carefully disassemble the light bulb.
  5. Insert wire into drilled hole, stretch it to the neck.
  6. Also carefully assemble the lamp.
  7. Attach the lampshade to the neck. The original light bulb is ready.

Master class for children

  • Two batteries.
  • Miniature light bulb.
  • Foil.
  • Small glass bottle.
  • Sheet of paper.

Having prepared everything you need, you can safely get to work.

D good day, friends!

Today, I decided to make a lamp out of a bottle, to be precise, a night lamp. This experience is completely new for me. I planned to make a lamp for a long time, but all hands didn’t reach it. In principle, as it turned out, nothing complicated. But I had to be patient, because. always had to wait. At almost every stage of work, the paint dried, then the glue dried. The waiting time stretched from several hours to several days. But otherwise, making a lamp turned out to be an interesting and exciting activity.

I called this work "Oasis" - desert, sand, a lizard, a couple of lovers and eyes ...

Usually they say that the eyes are the sea.
But you don't have something burning in your eyes,
Perhaps I will meet grief today,
In your sands, so intoxicating from the soul ...

The pupil fits the desert
No storms, no wind, quiet, sweet...
Your face is sacred to me
Well, what is in it, I was so amazed ...?

Beautiful poems by Anastasia Borzova, and then, my prose

...... and again, in order not to burden the master class, I had to divide it into two parts:

  1. How to make a lamp;

Today will be:

How to make a lamp out of a bottle

For work, I needed:

  1. Glass bottle;
  2. Piece of chipboard;
  3. Light;
  4. Cord with plug and switch;
  5. Sand;
  6. Shells;
  7. Photo;
  8. Toilet paper;
  9. Acrylic paints - gold and brown;
  10. PVA glue;
  11. Acrylic lacquer;

Bottle decor

For the basis of the lamp, I took a glass bottle of wine.

Glass bottle

At first, I had an idea to make a lamp - “Genie in a lamp”. The composition, I saw this: the sea threw a bottle on the sand, a genie is visible through the glass.

I rummaged through the entire Internet, looking for a picture of a genie that I would like. But, alas! Nothing looked good. But, there was a picture that, well, right away, fell on the soul. I printed this picture on ordinary photo paper and cut out a square with rounded edges.

Picture

And I glued this picture to the bottle, according to the principle of reverse decoupage.

I put this picture in a cup with warm water for 10 minutes. Then I took out the picture, put it on the desktop, picture down. And while the paper was wet, with his fingers, he rolled up a layer of white paper.

Removed the top layer

After rolling up the extra layers of paper, front side The pictures were painted with a brush dipped in acrylic lacquer. When applying acrylic varnish, small bubbles may form, traces of which will then be visible. Therefore, I tried to eliminate such bubbles immediately.

Then, I attached the picture to the bottle, face to the glass. I moistened my fingers in water and again began to roll up the paper, thereby thinning the layer. The edges of the picture, I deliberately made uneven, torn. I did this so that in the future, the edges of the picture were not clearly defined.

Attached a picture to the bottle.

When, as far as possible, I thinned the layer, I took a wet napkin and gently wiped everything. Removed paper pellets and traces of varnish on glass. I left the painting to dry.

Then, brown acrylic paint, began to tint the bottle. She did it this way: she applied paint to a simple kitchen sponge, blotted the sponge first on paper, and then “poked” the bottle with the sponge. I started with a picture and then all over the bottle.

I tint the picture

I tint the bottle

Toned in several layers. One layer dries, apply the next.

One moment! From tinting with a sponge, small bubbles of paint also form. To remove them, I simply walked over them, with a part of the sponge, where there is little or no paint.

And of course, on the side opposite the picture, I left the window unpainted, in which my picture will be visible.

Looking ahead, I want to criticize myself. I needed to make the picture bigger. Because when you look straight ahead, the transition between the picture and the paint is not very visible. But if you look into the bottle from the side, this transition is very visible, and this is a marriage. It's sad... But I'll be smarter for the future.

Later, in order to improve a little, I narrowed the window a little. But completely, she did not fix her marriage.

Not tinted, bottle section

With a bottle, that's all.

To make a lamp in a horizontal plane, I needed a base. For the base, I took a rectangular piece of chipboard. I asked my husband to cut out an even rectangle and sand the edges. Over the entire surface, walked with a hard sandpaper.

Chipboard base

Weight of papier-mache

Now, I needed a mass in which I could drown the bottle and which I could cover with sand. Googling, I settled on papier-mâché, the recipe of which I liked most of all for its simplicity. I found him in the master class of Olga Egupets, wonderful puppet master. You can watch the video of this recipe on Youtube channel, here is the link:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hoe1Dx3OrJk&list=PL7C00C05B3ED17917&index=11

  1. snatched toilet paper;
  2. filled with water (only to wet the paper);
  3. squeezed out excess water;
  4. in the resulting, soaked and squeezed, mass of paper, added PVA glue and mixed well.

I make papier-mâché

In the end, it turned out, here is such a mass.

Weight for papier-mâché

Before applying the mass, I generously smeared the chipboard with PVA glue so that the papier-mâché would stick well to the chipboard. She gave a little glue to grab the chipboard and began to lay out papier-mâché, imitating a small mound. In the middle, pressed the bottle. But, in order not to stain the bottle, I thoroughly wrapped it with cling film.

Posted papier-mâché

And now, it remains to wait for the papier-mâché to dry. It dries for a long time, a week for sure.

When the mass dried up a little (after about a day), I pulled out the bottle so that the place on which the bottle lies would dry faster. But this, again, was my mistake (((. So, as I did, I did not take into account that the papier-mâché mass would dry out. The bottle no longer fit in length. This can be seen in the photo below.

The mass, when dried, shrunk

I had to fix the marriage, and at the same time increased the mound.

First, I cut off the excess with a knife, near the neck of the bottle. Then, she again kneaded the mass of papier-mâché and laid it out along the bottle, raising the “sides around the bottle. And in the region of the neck, I made a groove in which, in the future, the cord will lie.

Again laid out a mass of papier-mâché

And again, I began to wait for the mass to dry. True, I waited a little less, it took 5 days to dry. But, taught by bitter experience, she left the bottle in the mass. Only, periodically, she moved it, lifted it.

sand decoration

When, finally, the mass dried up, she began to decorate it with sand.

Sand, did not buy. Slightly "robbed" the children's sandbox. May the children forgive me.))))))) I poured the sand into a deep cup and carefully, washed it, under running water. Mud, I'll tell you, it was!!! Here it is time to think about whether our children should be allowed to play in local, public sandboxes.

After the sand was washed, I put it on a baking sheet and put it in the oven, for drying and roasting. And after drying and roasting, she sifted it through a sieve. I needed to separate small grains of sand from large ones.

Then I started decorating with sand. Diluted PVA glue with acrylic varnish, approximately in proportions 1/1. I already used this composition when I made , so I was confident in this composition.

Then, she generously lubricated the surface with this composition and sprinkled the surface with sand, pressing it down with her fingers. Pressing down the sand with my fingers, I drowned it in glue and at the same time leveled it to avoid bumps. Left to dry. Here we had to wait about 8-10 hours.

Then, I painted over the sand with gold acrylic paint. I used a wide brush. The brush did not soak in water, dipped it only in paint, shaded it on paper and passed over the surface of the sand. I let it dry again, it dried relatively quickly))).

So, I did two layers.

The first two layers are fine sand.

In the photo above, you can see that the bottle does not fit snugly to the base. And I wanted her to be buried in the sand. So I sealed the gaps. To do this, I cut a simple napkin into thin strips and glue + PVA composition, closed the cracks (the principle is the same as the insulation of wooden window frames, for the winter).

I close the resulting gaps

I did not wait for the strips to dry, I began to decorate them with sand, just like the base. Glued sand, after drying, painted with gold paint. And so three layers.

Decorated with sand

Fine sand seemed boring to me, so I added a layer of coarse sand. It worked the same way as with fine sand.

I decorate with coarse sand

In forced periods of waiting, when the sand was drying, I made a lizard. About her, there will be the next master class.

To make a lamp, I, of course, needed a light bulb and a cord with a plug. I bought an LED bulb (it practically does not heat up) and a ready-made cord, with a plug and an on / off button. I measured the length of the cord I needed, from the switch to the place where the light bulb would be. And she asked her husband to solder the light bulb to the wire.

Light bulb with cord

Using a hot glue gun, I glued the switch, ran the cord in a hollow, under the neck. And she stuck a light bulb down her neck.

I glued the lizard. How I made the lizard, you can see

Everything was almost ready. But I wanted to dilute this brown-gold scale with white pebbles and shells. I glued shells and large pebbles with a thermal gun. And small ones, glued on PVA + acrylic varnish.

Here, now, really everything, the work is ready. So, I managed to make a lamp out of a bottle. By the way, when I connected the light bulb, it became clear that not all places on the bottle were completely stained. I wanted to fix it, but my husband stopped me in time, said that it was even more interesting. And I agreed with him.

Lamp, from a bottle

Lamp, from a bottle

And yet, a little about what can be done with bottles:

  • You can, for example, take an unopened bottle of alcohol, decorate it with leather and give it to a man. For example, on February 23 or a corporate holiday. I have such a job, MK can be viewed. By the way, this decor is removable. It can be used in the future, for bottles of similar volumes.
  • Or do not throw away the bottles from under your favorite sauce, but decorate them using the Decoupage and Paper Art technique. And use these cute bottles for spices. MK of this decor, you can see

Making lamps from glass bottles

What do we need to make a lamp?

Materials:

  • balusters - 2 pcs.;
  • bottles from under "Narzan";
  • cutting boards;
  • epoxy or glue for a hot glue gun;
  • scrap metal tube d = 10 mm;
  • electrical cartridges E14;
  • light bulbs in the form of fire candles "Candle in the wind" - 3 pcs.;
  • switch for the lamp;
  • the wire.

Instruments:

  • wood saw;
  • electric jigsaw;
  • grinding attachment for a drill (cork wheel with Velcro for attaching sandpaper);
  • drill for wood, 10 x 300 mm;
  • Faustner cutters, d = 30, 45 mm;
  • core drill, d = 64 mm
  • glass cutter

The main highlight of this lamp are the original glass bottle shades and flame-shaped light bulbs.

Craft a makeshift workbench out of three pieces of wood and hold a bottle in it. Gently rotating the bottle with your left hand, draw a cut line along the bottle with a glass cutter. Do not press the bottle too hard with the roller.
Take a piece of mounting stud with a nut at the end, place it inside the bottle and gently tap the cut line from the inside.
Carefully separate the neck of the bottle from the bottom. If everything is done correctly, the cut line will turn out to be even.
Treat sharp edges with a diamond-coated glass polishing sponge or a grinding attachment for a drill (choose waterproof sandpaper, wet it when working so that glass dust does not form). You can use a whetstone to sharpen knives.
To round off sharp glass edges with inside neck of the bottle, use a drill with a grinding attachment.
Saw off 3 pieces from the balusters for vertical parts. For the side "horns" of the candelabra, saw off 2 jumpers. Make the cut at an angle.
Drill holes in the balusters for electric cable. Drill through the vertical pieces.
Drill the side jumpers on both sides perpendicularly - so that the holes match.
At the tops of the balusters with a Faustner cutter d = 30 mm, drill holes for the shades to a depth of 20 mm.
Insert caps from the same bottles into these holes - then “plafonds” will be screwed into them. Fix the covers with epoxy.
After the resin hardens, sand the ends of the balusters.
From the trim of the floorboard, cut out the details for the base of the lamp. In the center of the base, drill holes for the electrical cord (use a Faustner cutter and a hole saw for this purpose).
Place a metal weight, such as a lead washer, in the base to stabilize the structure.
Process wooden details decorative composition. Suitable funds "Texturol", "Pinotex", "Aquatex", "Senezh-Aquadecor" or a simple furniture varnish.
Route through the channels in constituent parts candelabra electrical cord, connect the parts together. For reliability, insert segments into the joints metal tubes. Coat them with glue or epoxy before installation.
Assemble the center post.Attach the side horns to the center post. For strength, screw 2-3 self-tapping screws into the baluster, and drill holes for them in the central rack. Before installing, drip a little epoxy into the wells.
Connect the top and bottom of the base. Remove excess wire in the cavity of the base.
Install the glass shades on the horns of the chandelier. Screw decorative Gothic Candle lamps (also called “Candle in the wind”) into the cartridge. Don't forget to install a light switch

How to make a chandelier (master class!)

The main lighting device in the house is the chandelier. You can make it from an ordinary glass bottle. The main thing is that it will be exclusive.

To create such beauty you will need:

  • bottles (size and quantity depends on the preferences of the owners);
  • protective equipment (glasses, mask and gloves);
  • glass cutter and sandpaper;
  • screwdriver and wire.

Having at hand the necessary tools and materials, you can proceed to the direct manufacture of the chandelier:

1. Soak the bottle in water. This will make it easy to eliminate labels and debris. After cleaning, the container must be thoroughly dried.

Wash bottles and remove labels

2. Cut the bottle. The glass cutter is mounted on required level. Cutting is carried out slowly, which will allow you to get a smooth cut line. Work with the cutter only in protective clothing. If not at hand necessary tool, then the cut of the glass bottle is easily done with a thread. The video below clearly demonstrates this.

3. Now bottle under the tap. Turn on hot water and hold the workpiece under it. hot water alternate with cold. As a result of sudden changes in temperature, an unnecessary piece will fall off exactly along the cut line.

4. The cut point is processed sandpaper. The cut must be even and smooth.

5. Using a screwdriver, the lamp is disassembled. The wire must be carefully pulled out and passed through the neck, assemble the lamp back and check it in operation.

6. It remains only to decorate the lighting fixture. For this, ordinary wire is used. Starting from the neck, we wind it around the bottle. For this, any material is used. It can be plain black or colored wire.

The chandelier hanger is ready. It remains only to install it. If desired, the product can be painted and given any design. The main thing is that it is organically combined with the interior of the room.

Making a lamp from a bottle with your own hands is carried out in the following sequence:

  1. Mark a hole on the workpiece through which the wire will pass. Stick a patch on the mark.
  2. Place the bottle on an old towel and drill a hole for the wire. Drilling is carried out using a diamond drill. The work is carried out in protective equipment.
  3. Soak the finished bottle in water and remove all stickers and dirt.
  4. A wire is passed through the hole and stretched to the neck. At the exit, it connects to the cartridge.
  5. Attach the cartridge and lampshade to the neck.

Homemade table lamp from a glass bottle is ready. It remains only to check it in operation. If desired, the product can be decorated and decorated. For this, various technologies and materials are used. original solution glass stones will become, especially if the room is installed glass chandelier made using the previous master class.
